The private surf classes are super expensive, we took them from another place at the end. And this is a personal preference but they only have sheets to cover yourself not duvet.

- Omar (4/5): The facilities are average at best, and the service is shockingly poor for the price. Overall, a complete waste of money - Location For $250 a night, this hotel delivered one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Room cleaning was “opt-in,” but no one informed us, and when we requested it, our request was flat-out refused. At the gym, there were no cups at the water cooler — when I asked why, the manager said it was because they want guests to buy bottled water (!!). The facilities are average at best, and the service is shockingly poor for the price. Overall, a complete waste of money.

Service was top notch You need a better gym - could be enclosed with AC and an elliptical or treadmill or bike. Not all of us are yoga and surfer fans. The hard concrete floors don’t work with older joints even though I am active. It would also be fun to offer some hikes.

- Mehdi (7/5): One of the best place we stayed at but overpriced for the service you get - The location is so great, all the facilities and amenities were nice and super clean. The conveniency of having everything in one place was great as well (pool, surf lessons, gym, restaurant). The staff at the reception were really nice, helpful and caring. The room had a partial ocean view and the large windows made it really enjoyable. It lacked an overall atmosphere. there was no background music either at the pool or at the very large restaurant which made it look a bit sad and empty most of the time. While the place looked gorgeous it was definitely lacking some vibe. The room was great but missing handwash which was inconvenient but can happen and our sink was clogged. The service was lacking efficiency. there were so many waiters chatting but we consistently had to get to them to ask something rather than them checking on customers. Same by the pool with constantly having to ask for towels rather than just disposing them were it was supposed to be. It was a bit sad because it felt like constantly looking for help everywhere. Same for the laundry where we were told to let our bag in front of our door and it stayed there for the entire day until we went and dropped it at the reception. I booked one surf lesson which was really nice and when i talked to the main surf staff (Eduardo maybe?) he seemed bother and busy rather than trying to help. I therefore did not book my second session with them but went to another near by shop.

- Erick (10/5): Love this gem of a hotel. Feels like a mini, higher end yet casual resort. - The hotel was right on the beach, had a small but very clean and beautiful infinity pool. Great food at the restaurant with many healthy and vegetarian options as well. Decent prices for what was provided. Excellent vibe for couples, families and surfers. Friendly staff. Nice amenities such as complimentary coffee (decent quality) all morning long. Optional coffee bar with specialty coffee selections. Potable water refills just by asking the bar tender to refill. The beach was better than expected. The photos appeared to show many rocks and waves reaching the edge of the cliff. However, there were steps leading down to the beach area and when the tides were low (most of the day), there was plenty of beach with fine sand and not many rocks at all. Great place to walk, exercise or play with your dog. Felt like the staff was really there to help you have a wonderful stay. Whenever I asked a question, they would offer to assist. I walked to the restaurant to ask for desert to go. The staff member suggested, "We can bring that to your room if you'd like". Very welcoming! Not much. Wanted to stay longer. The rooms are a bit dark. There is construction of a luxury condo next door and it obstructs the view of the ocean.

I adored the room, seaview, the fabulous pool area and location right on the beach. The food and drinks were incredible, as well as the drop in classes. I adored every minute staying here! The surf academy was hard to understand if you could drop in on classes and some children very loud in the pool, but this only happened once.

They made me feel really special for my birthday. I highly recommend this hotel. It’s perfect to get surf lessons, they have a lap pool and a great gym. I love this hotel.

- Nancy (6/5): Only for relaxing - The place is a bit overpriced for its functionality. One must make appointments for any gym time, skating time, yoga etc. The food was decent. I would not eat here if I were not staying here. The service was slow. I had to walk up from the pool area several times for drinks. It’s very far from anything touristic to do. So if you want to relax by the waves and have a quiet week then I recommend it.
- Elbawab (3/5): A representation of false advertisement - Near the ocean, but no direct access to the beach. The one down the stairs from the hotel is too rocky to stay on, plus the tides take the waves all the way up to the stairs, so you don't have any access any more. This place is the definition of false advertisement: booked an ocean view room and paid the price for that. However, as the staff were showing us the way to the room, and right before opening the door to it, they mentioned that we don't have a view anymore... Instead we had a major construction site right outside of the window... surprise surprise... Of course they didn't have any other room available for the duration of our stay, so we were forced to move to a different room for EVERY night of our stay! Imagine how stressful this is with a 5 year old kid as well!! Also, don't get fooled by them saying there is a "coffee station" included, because no one will mention that it only applies to certain types of coffees, until of course it's too late and you're forced to pay. Everything there is also extremely expensive for the quality provided. The food at the restaurant is mediocre at best, but with a price tag of a Michelin star restaurant. And the list goes on...

The location is very secured and not anyone can go in. It was a very luxurious resort, the pool was amazing. The rooms were very spacious. What made our experience the best was the staff they were very attentive at all times.

The view from the pool was gorgeous. The rooms don't really have a beach view unless you pay for one of the top rooms. The rooms were big and comfortable, and they appeared to have a little balcony but no outdoor furniture.

- Tonique (10/5): I loved every minute of it thank you Puro surf!!! - This place was worth every penny!! Me and my fiancé spent valentines at this property and it was amazing. Room was great I did had a lil problem with the room I booked but they fixed it with no problem. Breakfast is great drinks are a 10/10 staff is very friendly and made us feel so welcome. My favorite was Luis he went beyond for us he made sure everything was handle for us. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my family and I plan to visit again. The hotel is right by the beach the view is amazing.

- Stephen (8/5): - This hotel is situated on a beautiful beach cove and is perfect for surfing (5-20 ft. waves). I am not a strong surfer or swimmer, but had a lot of fun riding the wakes from the waves to the shore. The beach is about 250 yards, so not huge, but is a short walk to other beaches. Front desk staff was totally useless, but restaurant staff was great. Hotel did not provide any information about activities, cleaning, what is nearby; so do your research. Breakfast was good. Other restaurant food, nothing to write home about. Long story short, good accommodations on a beautiful beach, but given lack of help from staff, not sure I would stay there again given other nearby options.

Check in: tall skinny lady is not very friendly at check in has a lack of communication seems she’s bothered when asked questions which I don’t understand why if that is her job. 2. Waiters were nice very respectful and all but would take a long time to come check to see if anything else was needed I would to keep looking for my waiter when I needed any condiments or a refill.

We make sure to visit a few times a year, and we're always mesmerized by the amazing and soothing experience. Beautiful pool and amazingly friendly staff. They now remember us so they're even friendlier, and it makes out stay feel more cozy. I'm just disappointed I didn't stay for longer this time. I wanted to take one last dip at the pool! Incredible place and beautiful views from the surfing scene.

- Sara (6/5): Not for a family trip - This hotel is definitely overrated and I don’t recommend it. If you have a couple get away or family time, this is not the property for your trip, is ideal for people traveling for surfing. Unfortunately our AC did not work, tried to call front desk and our phone was not working(never worked while our entire stay) went to front desk and was closed, went to restaurant and their staff was very kind and try to help us in the best of their ability, called maintenance personnel to get some help, by now was late at night and all I wanted to do was rest, after couple hours AC was fixed but then was not cooling and turning off every 30min. The staff is friendly, restaurant is very good, however you can find different properties in the area that would be half price.

Bit disappointed with their additional services. For example, the equipment in the academy is quite limited and often old/rusty. Also, if you are not in an all-inclusive surf package, extras are very expensive (e.g., USD 60 for a half-day surf guiding in a group or USD 40 for a ~25-min return taxi trip). Nevertheless, the service is great across reception, restaurant, pool, and cleaning staff; only surf guides could be friendlier (I guess they are once you pay for surf guiding?). Food is very good but on the expensive side for El Salvador (basically US prices). In short, happy with my stay there, not the best price/quality ratio, better suited for couples or small groups.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel is nice, the pool and are great. We had an issue with our room, the ac wasn’t working. We checked in a later in the day and weren’t in the room until late at night, when we got back and realized the room wasn’t cold (we had two rooms reserved next to each other and could significantly tell the difference) we called the front desk at this point it was almost midnight. The front desk said they would see if they could send someone to fix it. At 1am they called back and said the only option was for us to move to another room (at 1am), never at one point int that conversation did they mention it would only be us moving and not our stuff so there was poor communication with the night stuff as I noted it was 1am and I wasn’t going to pack all my stuff up and move in the middle of the night especially with my family being in the room next door. At checkout I brought this up with the staff and they were so rude and quick to say they offered me a room and that no discount would be given. I would have given this place a 5 out of 5 but the staff and ac situation really ruined the trip giving the hotel a 3 out of 5.

Our only gripe was the toiletries they provided; at that price point we expected something a bit better quality. Overall, we loved our stay and would come back again.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Upper management Natalia made our stay uncomfortable, there was a moment she even told my sister she would give her money back if she wanted to leave; we had 4 rooms but I'm guessing she didn't know or she didn't care loosing the money in all those rooms, other than that is a nice place to stay, the rest of the employees were amazing they go above and beyond to help you, food is OK.
