• Jackie Ooi (10/5): Amazing Experience - Really enjoyed my stay here. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed. But what made it stand out was the staff, everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful, not just doing their job but actually making sure guests feel welcome. You can tell there’s good management behind the scenes because everything runs smoothly and the service is consistently great. Please pass this on to the management team, they’re clearly doing something right. Would happily stay here again. The rain shower doesn't work well

Rooms are spacious and well equipped with good shower and comfortable bed. My room had a balcony overlooking the canal and river. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Food is excellent. Will definitely come back. Little bit isolated but this is a minor problem because this is Thailand so transport is never difficult to find.

We travelled here from Australia and wanted a hotel that would allow us to meet the community, enjoy the view of the river, and still get everywhere we wanted to go in Bangkok easily. Chann Bangkok Noi is a beautiful place with wonderful food, helpful and friendly staff, amazing food and comfortable rooms with world class air conditioning. We’re sad we couldn’t stay longer, but we look forward to visiting again - this is the perfect place for any couples staying in Bangkok to relax.

Eine offene Lounge am Wasser, Ruhe und entzückende Hauskatzen. Die Betreuung war exzellent und hat alle Wünsche zufrieden gestellt. Ich habe umgebucht und komme in drei Tagen wieder.

Rigtig fin beliggenhed i forhold til at se nogle af Bangkoks store turist attraktioner, inden for gå afstand. Og giv jer, den oplevelse at tager en båd tilbage til Hotellet. Man føler sig næsten hjemme.

• corvin (8/5): Beautiful picturesque countryside-island feel but far away from any point of interest. - The hotel is beautiful, one feels as in the countryside, not in Bangkok anymore. Hearing the waves of the river and the boats makes one feel as on the seaside. Staff very helpful. Unfortunatelly, the feeling of being out of the city, in a small village or island comes together with the fact that it is far away from any other point of interest. Even the apparently close by attractions are in truth hard to reach because of poor connections. taxi ride to "town" about 50 min. There's a boat station 15 minutes away only useful for riverside attractions. no other public transport options really

Forty meters of the CP River on a busy canal. It’s so peaceful in an old riverside alleyway neighborhood. Very cool, all the way! I liked everything about the property.
• Collin (3/5): Misleading at Best, Fraudulent at Worst. - We were not informed until after we booked our room, which was non refundable, that this hotel is located in the interior of a local village. We were send a message saying that we would have to have our driver drop us at a parking area and walk the remainder of the way to the hotel. We did not realize until we got there. However, that this was a 10 minute walk through alleyways and quite literally the homes of people. To get anywhere, you are having to walk back out to that parking area to be picked-up by car/motorbike. We did not arrive until later in the evening, when it was completely dark, leaving us to have to navigate to this place through the dark alleyways of a village to find the accommodation. Even our driver told us to be careful walking through that area at night. It is very disconnected from public transportation. The location is abysmal. This was all incredibly misleading, fraudulent at best, because none of this was disclosed until after booking, and the full extent of it not realized until arrival. It's almost as if they know people won't book here if they know in advance (we wouldn't have). We had paid extra for a "garden view" room, only to find our room overlooked the local dump (see photo). When I went to find someone the next morning, no one was around. The desk is not staffed 24 hours. No one arrives until 9 AM (breakfast doesn't even *open* until 9:30 AM? Breakfast is usually ending by then). This is concerning given than anyone can walk into the completely unsecured property off the street and right to the open-air building containing the rooms. This property is very clean and the rooms very cute, which is unfortunate given the rest of the experience. The only positive was that after a frank conversation with the hotel team (via WhatsApp, again, no one at the property), they agreed to contact Booking.com and ask that our money be refunded (it was).

• Laetitia (8/5): Une expérience vraiment authentique dans un très beau cadre. - Un hôtel au style très beau et traditionnel dans un endroit à part, au milieu des locaux et loin des zones très touristiques avec une vue vraiment sympa sur le Chao Phraya. C’est très dépaysant et authentique. Le style traditionnel tout en bois n’épargne pas des voisins de chambre trop bruyants et de l’activité assez intense sur le fleuve. L’hôtel a du connaître son heure de gloire avant Covid, mais malgré une bonne volonté évidente du personnel de bien faire on regrette les indisponibilités systématiques de la carte du restaurant. Ça nous empêchera pas de revenir !

• Karin (9/5): - Ruhige Lage am Klong. Gutes Frühstück. Wir sind vor dem Frühstück abgereist und haben ein sehr gutes Frühstückspaket mitbekommen. Die Lage ist schwer zu erreichen. Die Tuk tuk Fahrer haben sich gewundert. Das letzte Stück muss man zufuß gehen weil es so eng ist.

• Pattaya (5/5): average - staff was accommodating on food restrictions. They are also friendly and kind. Staff got the time of our breakfast wrong and also got our order wrong. Also we were the first people down at breakfast room (with earliest bf appointment) but people that came later were served bf before us. Hotel is not good when it rains as the rain splashes everywhere on staircase, making it impossible to go to your room when in rains. After the rain stops, puddles were left unattended leaving high risk for customers to slip and fall (very dangerous)! When we left the hotel, the staff was kind to walk us to our car as the walk way out was flooded due to high tide. Not a good location ideally as weather seems to have major affect on getting here and also while staying at the hotel!

The location is nice by the river, so the atmosphere is great. However, getting in and out can be a bit inconvenient since we have to walk quite a distance.
• William (10/5): A great place to relax and escape the bustle of Bangkok, while still being easy to reach key sites. - Highly recommend for those looking for an oasis of peace in Bangkok. Chann Bangkok Noi is a charming boutique hotel on a canal just off the Chao Phraya river. The traditional Thai design feels a bit like living in Jim Thompson House. It's a very special building. The hotel is tucked away down an alley and there is no direct vehicle access. Possibly a negative for some, but for me, the walk through the Bangkok Noi neighborhood adds to the charm. Staff members will greet you at the head of the alley to help with baggage and show you the way. Nice touch. For getting around town, the main road is a short walk away, with many bus routes stopping there. But even better is the river boat pier by Phra Pinklao Bridge. Sites like Wat Arun are an easy boat ride away. Piers across the river link you to rapid transit lines. The staff were welcoming and always very helpful. They made me feel relaxed and at home. Breakfast in the IMM restaurant on site was very good, and the servings were generous. The restaurant interior was pleasant, but I chose to sit outside most mornings to enjoy the breeze and the canal view. I also enjoyed dinner and lunch a couple of times, too. The food was well prepared and had it's own unique spin on Thai favourites. There are not many electrical outlets in the room, though there was a handy one next to the bed. The lighting was not ideal for me, as I prefer eye-level lighting to ceiling pot lights. A bedside lamp helps me feel cozy before sleep. Not the hotel's fault at all, but...the party boats on the canal were disruptive some nights. The long-tail boats roaring past frequently into the evening were also very loud. But somehow those were less disturbing than the boom-boom-boom of dance music echoing across the water. Whatever...it's still the big city, after all.

It‘s a bit dodgy to get there by land but totally doable and people in the neighborhood are nice. 7/11 open 24/7 is 10min by feet away. I‘m a smoker and was not allowed to smoke on the balcony. However, makes a lot of sense due to the beautiful wood used everywhere. I count this a minor inconvenience with the benefit of frequent interaction with guests and pets (giant turtles and a cat).

Por los alrededores no hay vida donde puedas tomarte algo o comprar algo, sitio muy escondido con muy dificil acceso. Entras por una senda donde hay muchisima basura y huele fatal, muy mal adaptado.
• Michal (9/5): - Had a very pleasant & relaxing time at CHANN. Staff were VERY kind and helpful with every small issue. Rooms were as depicted in the photos and very clean. The common area was convenient for remote work as there are ventilation and quiet atmosphere.
• Carol (9/5): Exceptionally clean with welcoming helpful staff. - Chann Noi is situated next to a canal just as it joins the main river and it was lovely sitting watching the boats go by. The hotel is reached by foot -around a five minute walk from the main road following signs- not difficult. It is a very attractive hotel, all polished wood with a period feel. Our room was exceptionally clean and spacious. Although the bed was a bit hard for me, it was fine for my husband -just personal preference. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and I loved that they love animals- they have rescued giant tortoises and given homes to stray cats who were all lovely and gentle.

• Wouter (8/5): Very good - Beautiful accommodation with friendly staff. The room was clean, spacious and quite beautiful. The hotel is located in a local neighborhood of Bangkok, which we liked. The airconditioning didn't work properly (always blasting ice cold air) and made quite some noise, even in the lowest setting. The hotel is quite remote and taxis can't reach its location, so a short walk (5-10 mins.) is always necessary

She said she already knew about the problem. The hotel was essentially empty so I wonder why, when she knew of the problem, she gave us that room. They moved us to another room when we raised the issue.

• Compass16919868790 (10/5): Small, very Thai, friendly comfortable hotel - Lovely small hotel a the junction of the Chao Phraya river & the Bangkok Klong. Thai style room with everything you need, a reasonable size & very comfortable. Great dinner in the restaurant on our one evening there and super breakfast. River is always noisy from early morning so back garden rooms are best. Very convenient for the Royal Barges museum and the Bangkok Thonburi Station (to Kanchanaburi). Other reviews have marked down the location but I would suggest they haven't done their research. This hotel is not convenient to the centre of Bangkok (MBK, SkyTrain etc) but very convenient for the River Taxis covering access to the Royal Palace, Wat Arun etc.
• Ananya (7/5): Calm and isolated stay near Chao-praya river - The staffs are very helpful and friendly, especially the 4 legs staffs 🐈 I came on weekend, found a nice live music by an uncle who sang and played instruments all by himself. The atmosphere and panoramic view of the Chaopraya river were beautiful at night. If you looking for an isolated and calm residence in this chaotic city, CHANN maybe your answer. The room is quite large and the facilities is nice. This residence is located in the community of Bangkok-noi so quite difficult to reach, walking through the alleys only. Maybe due to it is wooden-style hotel near the river, I found many of red ants in the room and on the bed and they did not let me sleep 🥲 very stingy. To add more, the room is not sound-proof so I can hear the second floor walked, hear people from outside the room chit-chat and hear next room talking at 1 AM (another reason I cannot sleep) have to kick the wall to shut them up (seriously 1 AM) Lastly, as I mentioned that I found red ants on the bed, the mattress and blanket are not comfortable either. very paper-like
• Justin (10/5): The stay was exceptional - It was an amazing stay. It was a pity we stayed only 3 days. The view was really beautiful and I could have just sat there looking out without exploring Bangkok. The restaurant had nice food too.The best part was that they had a cat and 2 kittens which were really friendly. Better still they had 4 tortoises in the lobby. My so really liked them. There was really nothing I did not like. The only comment I can make is that the hotel is not accessible by car so we had to walk in and out but the staff were helpful and it was fun.

The staff are extremely accommodating and will go above and beyond to meet your needs and a lot of them speak English fluently so it's very easy to communicate, etc. Staying on the river is quite a peaceful experience in the midst of the chaos of BKK. Personally, the location was not ideal for us. We'd initially picked it based on the aesthetic/ vibe and whilst we were at the hotel it was absolutely lovely, but traveling to and from the hotel around BKK was quite inconvenient.
• Alexandra (9/5): We loved our stay and were sad to leave. Would definitely recommend. - We loved the location with the room overlooking the canal, the staff, the room (particularly the lighting. The ambience of the shared areas (particularly the addition of vinyl) - just a lovely lovely place to relax The room wasn't well sound proofed. The food and cocktails offered were pleasant but disappointing and weren’t on par with the quality of the stay.

• Oratip (5/5): Overall, it’s a nice hotel concept but not practical. - Breakfast was excellent. Service was friendly and courteous. The sitting/reception area is relaxing and inviting. The riverview was very nice. Getting to the hotel is not that bad (unpleasant but tolerable) but it is a strange concept to build a hotel that has limited road access/no parking (in the property). The room has good design but has details that made it not so nice. Ex. The wooden floor has protruding nails, very moldy shower curtain, bathroom tiles with entirely chipped grout, torn wallpaper, and the wooden structure that is not soundproofed (bring ear plugs). There was also a small centipede (about 1.5 inch) while showering; it came from the gap in the tiles. An idea for hotel guests: there is a public boat pier (Pinklao Pier) about 800m from the hotel. You can take the river taxis to see all the riverfront attractions (e.g. The Grand Palace, Wat Arun, Tha Tien, etc.)
• Clara (9/5): Superb - Amazing river and sunrise view. Loved the fact that you need to go through little streets to get to the discreet entrance of the hotel.
• Iraklis (10/5): Oasis - I missed my booking that day because of a mess created by Turkish Airlines. However, I am here now with a new booking. The staff is incredibly supportive. Everything is beautiful and quiet. The location is very local and nice 30 min walk away of my favourite location in Bangkok, around Samsen road. Highly recommended in case you enjoy a quiet, comfy place to rest and sleep.
• FarAway52725412117 (2/5): Unsatisfactory stay - 1. Unclean Bathroom Upon entering the bathroom, I found a used shower gel bottle left on the floor, making the floor sticky. This raised serious concerns about whether the bathroom had been cleaned prior to my arrival. Such oversight is unacceptable and reflects poorly on your housekeeping standards. 2.Cobwebs in the Room I discovered not one but two spots with cobwebs inside the room. This further deepened my concern about the overall cleanliness and hygiene standards your hotel offers. 3.Room Temperature Issues The room was unbearably hot when I checked in. Despite trying to adjust the temperature myself, I was unable to resolve the issue and had to contact the reception staff for assistance. I was told it was the maid’s fault for misadjusting the system. While the staff resolved the issue by reconfiguring the air conditioning, I question why the room temperature was not properly set and checked before my arrival. 4.Bathtub Malfunction One of the main reasons I chose the Riverfront Suite Canal Type room was to enjoy the bathtub while taking in the Bangkoknoi view. Unfortunately, the bathtub was defective, with water constantly leaking, requiring me to refill it multiple times. This inconvenience ruined the relaxing experience I had anticipated. 5.Unacknowledged Birthday Request I had made a special request for my partner’s birthday celebration during the booking process, which was confirmed via email. However, this request was completely overlooked during our stay. This lack of attention to detail was extremely disappointing and made me feel undervalued as a guest.
• Lunarchan (7/5): Good - It is situated by the canal, breakfast is generous portion, spacious and well-designed bathroom. The location could not be reached by car, have to walked on the pedestrian in the community. Noisy boats started early morning, disrupted sleep.
• Stefan (8/5): - The hotel is very nice and right by the river. The rooms are also very comfortable. Getting to the hotel from the main roads is a bit tricky, and especially for solo female travelers could be scary. Additional hint: the staff will suggest you leave your shoes outside your room. We did that and in two occasions one of the cat pee'd on my shoes. If you leave them outside, lean them against the wall so they are not flat on the ground. Overall nice hotel and friendly staff, but because of the location, I would not go there again.

• Chantabut (4/5): Below of what I expected it to be. Reception need to be more professional and have a set of rules for hotel. - Housekeeper is really helpful and they are polite. Unprofessional reception on our first day of checking in. Reception did not notice next room was having party with loud music and noise, and my room was shaking. We told reception about it and she was useless and said could not do anything and to wait before mid night or change the room with extra fee. Staff could be more helpful if notice us that next room was having party and should not put us next to them. Staff was upset that we wanted to change our room! Oh yes We did paid for our room and we didn’t ask for free. Her face and her tone were unfriendly and unprofessional.

• Thato (9/5): Lovely night spent in Bangkok. - The hotel is lovely and the staff are so kind and very helpful. It is a bit a walk from where your taki would drop you so if traveling with large bags, this can be a challenge.

Your staff are amazing and the young lady at the front desk went well beyond her job description in helping us with getting our lost luggage sent to the hotel. She stayed until 11:30pm to ensure we got our belongings and never complained once about helping us. We were very very impressed and honestly loved everything from your food, background music, views, room comfort, super accommodating and very humble staff and of course the superb service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! The location on the water is amazing - just the entrance to the hotel is a bit tricky.

• Wannida (6/5): Would be nice if you could access the hotel by boat - Hotel design, staffs’ generosity, cleanliness - the room that you selected on booking might not be the one you will be staying. Because they are showing photos from different rooms of the same room type which are different in design and layout. - not enough areas to stay when it’s raining besides your own room. - the shower area is the same floor level as the dry area (wash basin + toilet) you could easily have the whole bathroom floor flooded if you are not careful.
