Room was available early, and late check out was also freely available :) Not walking distance to Tulumben centre (only a short ride), and the access road is a bit rough.

• Joseph (8/5): Comfortable, clean, friendly, and good value. - It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It has a nice pool setup, although I didn’t actual go inside the pool. It’s a nice getaway spot on the main road. The mosquito net in my room didn’t close fully. Turned out the mosquitos could sneak in and feasted on me one night.

• Van de Wouwer (9/5): Un petit hôtel charmant avec tout ce qu'il faut - L'hôtel se compose de 6 chambres Vue sur une jolie piscine et a qq pas de la plage. Le petit déjeuner est varié... on ne sait jamais ce qu'on va recevoir, et cest toujours bon. Il propose un service laundry. La salle de bain privative est dehors. Le rêve. Je reviendrai avec grand plaisir. L'epave du liberty est a qq minutes... On peut louer des masques palmes et un guide pour aller le voir. Je recommande vivement L'hôtel est très mal indiqué.... et le chauffeur de taxi a du téléphoner a un autre hotel pour savoir où était l'entrée... Pas facile dans la nuit noire...

Not very busy and nice with the little pool. Staff were helpful. Facilities are a bit run down, beds not very comfy

• Erika (9/5): Nice stay in Kubu - - spacious room and bathroom - very nice swimming pool and garden area - friendly staff - the beach is close by, but we only stayed next to the swimming pool - quiet location, close to restaurants, however you can still hear the cars passing by Things to improve: - more options to choose from for breakfast, there was always just one option per day - extra towels for the swimming pool - I would buy new towels, the ones we had were quite old - change light bulbs colors to warm white everywhere - our wet clothes hanger was broken - more hangers in a wardrobe, not only two - provide a soap for hand, not only shower gel
• Cornelia (6/5): Basic standard, not as it used to be - Nice and friedly staff but service varies depending on who is there. (Some do not speak much English). Compared to our stay here 7 years ago, when the rooms and the garden were in top condition, it is obvious that the European owner has been absent for a number of years and the resort is now managed by a nearby Indosesian dive centre. The rooms and bathrooms need renovation. It is still OK but very basic. Shower was broken, toilet seat needs replacement, safe box out of order, curtains torn. The rooms are not cleaned every day. The pictures on booking are from many years ago!
• Cikgu (7/5): a bit less than expectations but an ok stay away from the crowds - the swimming pool was nice & the staffs are very friendly stayed there for 4 nights & i wonder why they didnt place me in a better room since all the other occupants only stays for a night & on my 1st night i was literally the only guest there. i saw the 2 rooms connected to the receptionist are in a way much better conditions but they put me in the most problematic room at first. i had to change room bcause the initial room i was put on, the water heater was not working & the door was very hard to open & close. my next room was a bit better but 1 of the lights in the bathroom was not working so it was pretty dark at night. the entrance & the road from the main road was pretty rough so if u are riding a scooter just be careful. the room floor was also kinda dusty. asked the staff to clean it but still feels the same. i noticed that when i was the only guest there the breakfast was the worst like 3 pieces of cold chewy pancakes with some honey & suddenly when there are other guests the breakfast just gotten better with breads & sunny side up & even banana pancakes. im just thankful that the staffs are really friendly
• Dorthe (5/5): Nice place, but could use some maintenance and a little upgrade on breakfast, and amenities in room - Nice and quiet place, just past main Tulamben. Easy check in and check out with friendly staff. The place is a bit run-down and we only had one towel in the room. No water but a bottle for it and 1 glad. And a water boiler but no coffee/tea. The breakfast is very sparse- choose between banana pancake or 2 pieces of dry toast and eggs, juice and coffee/ tea.

• Amy (1/5): Unsafe and Smelly - Staff were friendly I booked this hotel because the photos looked beautiful and it had good reviews, but I was shocked when I arrived. The door was difficult to lock and could be shifted to allow access even when locked. The bathroom smelled of sewerage and had peeling paint and animal poo on the walls. Dirty room. Uncomfortable bed. The electrical sockets were old and dirty; they sparked and gave shocks. Thin walls meant there was no privacy. No turn down service or housekeeping. No included breakfast despite paying for one. The only place to eat meals was a large table next to the front counter, which made eating awkward. Left early because I could not stand the smell any longer. There were many nicer hotels nearby that offered more for less money.

• Lorraine (6/5): It was Ok - Staff were very nice The access road for vehicles / mopeds is very bad. To walk up to the main road you would need a good torch as the road is very rugged and is not lit. On the first night, I was really hungry and ordered from the menu. I think that they order the food to come from elsewhere. It was inedible unfortunately and there was a strange smell from the Tempeh Burger. I had to eat at the dive centre that I was diving with.

• Deborah (9/5): Quiet escape. - Friendly staff, nice breakfast (modest but enough) , clean, beautiful gardens and pool. Good wifi, each room had a verandah and outdoor setting. It was a close walk down a path to the resort infrastructure of MinaBali and the restaurant there was nice. 15min walk to the main strip of restaurants. Not a big issue but the Walk from the Bungalows to main road was dark at night. We used phone flashlights as the path is a gravel track in the bush.

Property is at edge of village so had to walk along dark road with no pavement at night (would be ok if have scooter). Lovely pool but monopolised by diver training in daytime.
• Yannick (8/5): Very nice stay in this little paradise - - very beautiful place and room well furnished (same as the photos) - different homemade breakfast every morning - friendly staff can arrange driver, trips and massage for the guests - rooms very clean - very near the sea - quiet area - value for money - road to access is dark and in bad condition - bathroom is smelly, sewage smell coming up from the sinks and shower - no restaurant around but staff can arrange delivery

We were family of 4, me and my husband was in one room, kids were in the other room, they were connected by the covered area in the front. You can order food from a restaurant near by and they delivered to the hotel, they were all very tasty. Covalence store is in 5 min walk. There have water filter to fill your bottles, it was very nice to stop buying plastic bottles of water during our stay. Fantastic value for money 😊 Air conditioning in our didn’t work very well and we were hot during the night.

Not far from Diving locations. Only 6 rooms so very cosy. Bad news is - only eggs for breakfast - good news you can have them any way you want. They were lovely BTW.

Value is amazing a bit dated. for example, A/C remote lights don’t work so it was hard to dial in a temperature. doors dont seal completely so it was hard to keep the local bugs out.

• Emily (10/5): Peaceful hideaway from the hustle and bustle of Bali. beautiful staff with great food. - such a peaceful place. the staff make it a wonderful hotel, full of kindness and laughter. the pool is beautiful, the room very comfortable and the food very very good. maybe far away from shops and things but there really are no shops in Tulamben. it is close to Indomarket if you need supplies.

• Michael (3/5): not great, would not recommend - the staff were really friendly It’s away from the main restaurant area in the street, have to walk back down an unlit rocky path at night. there was an animal (rat?) in the ceiling making noise all night. No tv in the room.

• Carolin (8/5): Nice bungalows and relaxed pool area close to USAT Liberty shipwreck - The outside and pool area is the center piece of the Minabali Bunga’lo! The garden is precious and the pool is very clean. The bungalows are cozy and we did not miss anything in the room, the interior is old fashioned wooden style. The outside bathroom is nice, sometimes you get a gecko visit what we always enjoy :) If you enjoy snorkeling this is the place to be since you are 5 min away from the beach and the famous USAT Liberty shipwreck. Since the hotel is a little bit off the road you need to walk 10-15 min to the few restaurants in Tulamben, BUT on the other hand it is very quite and relaxed. if you are looking for some relaxed day with snorkeling and diving we can definitely recommend Minabali Bunga’lo! We once decided to have dinner in the hotel. Apparently, Minabali Bunga’lo partners with a local restaurant since the food was delivered from outside and we had to eat it out of plastic containers. Maybe better eat outside in on of the restaurants (10-15 min walk). Also, while we were hanging out at the pool the personell started mowing the lawn and doing some work in the garden. Sure, they have to perform their work at some point, but considering that we were just 2 couples at the hotel at that time who were gone almost all day this seemed to be unfortunate timing.

• David (8/5): Quiet peaceful hotel with lovely garden and pool. - Nice area- close to diving area. the outside is a beautiful garden with a clean pool. there are not many rooms so it is peaceful. they have outside showers but are private with good clean hot water. the breakfast could be improved. i think coronavirus made this hotel suffer as it needs some maintenance- but still very good value for money of just staying a day or two

The bathroom has an outdoor shower which is stunning. The staff are very helpful and are super friendly. Highly recommend

• Holly (8/5): - We had a very enjoyable stay here. The room and pool were very clean. The staff was very friendly and the included breakfast was very simple but good. The only negatives were the location and AC. The location is a very close walk to town but not by the ocean. We knew this going into it and thought the price reflected it. The AC was not great in our rooms. It was a little uncomfortable during the day but we didn't spend much time in our room so it was not a big deal. At night it was cool and comfortable. Our room had a fan too which helped a lot. Overall I would definitely recommend!

• Steve (10/5): Fantastic location, expert service - This place was great and super relaxing. There is only a few rooms so service was exceptional, everyone spoke fluent English, and food was home cooked deliciously. My favorite part though was the spa deals. For about 10$ usd you received a 60 minute massage. I had 5 on this trip and this one was the best. So good we had her come back the next morning after we snorkeled. Highly recommend booking. 2 minute walk to dive site.
