Guest Reviews
- David (10/5): - Good service
- Eber (2/5): - all shower towel looked like a car mechanic had cleaned his hands with them. The floor had some type off crumbs and a funky smell in the room.
- Melissa (10/5): - I've stayed here before several times. Always great place to be. I wish they had an area to walk my dog but we make do.
- Richard (8/5): - Helpful staff. Clean room. My room was right by the highway so the road construction equipment was an early alarm clock unfortunately. However, most rooms were further away from the main road. Good A/C. Comfortable stay overall.
- Larry (10/5): - Everything was what I needed, office area needed to be straightened up , it was cluttered
- Joel (2/5): - Horrible and hateful staff
- Jaime (2/5): - The trom had a musky smell, sheets were stained, roaches in room and bathroom smelled like the sewer was backing up or there was a dead animal in the wall.
- Rebecca (4/5): Good enough, needs to be renovated - Hotel looked to be cleaned okay, but older hotel so dirt in places that are harder to clean, but room itself has a lot of cosmetic damages, which I didn’t mind, but was afraid they would say it was us and charge us for old damages. Originally took these photos for proof in case they tried to say that, only due to a bad experience years ago elsewhere where a run down hotel charged us for damages we did not do, and had to get police involved. But thankfully this hotel did not do this. But sharing so you know the conditions. Mattress did have a mattress protector on it which I did appreciate.
- Sharon (6/5): Ok for a last minute - The shower head was so hard it hurt to shower. The hotel.com price was 30 higher than the walk up.
- Sheila (10/5): - This was an older very basic motel, however we found the room to be very clean and the beds were comfortable, we checked in late and got up early on a drive home for Thanksgiving —-and for the price it suited our needs just fine. Small safe little town, not tons of dining options but if you need an overnight stay, book here. No frills but clean safe place to rest. Would stay again.
- Armando (4/5): - I have mixed feelings about this motel. It’s in a very small town with little to nothing. Not ther fault. I wasn’t expecting a whole lot when I booked this room, but I was not able to get a WiFi signal. I was able to get it in the lobby but when I went to my room it disappeared. How ever the room was clean, they changed the bedding and gave me clean towels everyday. I was happy I was able to find a room when I did due to a big event in Stephenville.
- Bailey (10/5): - Convenience was amazing
- Jane G (10/5): - Outstanding manager!!
- Gabriel (2/5): - The dog was the best part.
- Ramiro (2/5): - Sheets dirty
- John (10/5): - Don’t let the look of the outside sway you. It is a very clean place in the room . Bed was a little hard , but it did the job
- Joey (4/5): Uncomfortable - Office was one of the rooms. Knocked on the door at 7am to get more coffee and the host was rude. I gave him about 20 minutes and returned and he said he does not get up till 9. I said I couldn't wait was leaving for a funeral at 9. Bed was so hard we woke up sore. Only reson we used this motel not hotel was because we had our small dog. They also had a cat that followed us every time we walked our dog.
- Cortney (4/5): - Nothing was maintained.
- Jane G (10/5): - We have stayed at DeLeon previously and booked again for our visit. The inn keeper, Daniel, was a delight, always maki g sure we had everything we needed. And Blue was a very good girl.😁 we will stay there again
- JESSICA (10/5): - clean and reasonably priced
- Laura (4/5): Bad motel - Didn’t stay at all. The room wasn’t ready and they knew we were coming the same day akso. Rough road with conditions terrible. The gentleman was nice but he could have had our room ready before we got there. Nothing done. For me all rooms should be ready and available when any customer arrruves. Not ours so it was really bad for us. So no we did not stay got my money back and went to another motel in Stephenville.
- Benjamin (6/5): - The rooms were fine except the bugs found in the beds but other than that u get what you pay for costed 153.00for two nights sign outside days 45.99a night
- Patti (2/5): 😠 - How was my check in? You mean the one where I arrrived at 9pm on Saturday night to find hotel locked up and no vacancy sign on door. After ringing bell multiple times and calling 3 times and finally getting service... only to be told that my prepaid reservation was scheduled for wrong date ( the following night) and there was nothing available except a smoking room which is totally out of the question. That check in??
- Melissa (10/5): - Front desk clerk was the extremely helpful and courteous. The property is very easy going.
- Rebecca (6/5): - Clean
- Cameron (8/5): Just right - Very "What you see is what you get" and what i was expecting based on reviews. I'll stay again because the service was quick and friendly and overall inexpensive.
- Dell (8/5): Great priced place to stay the night - I've stayed here before and when plans took me back thru this area, I stayed here again. Older, no frills motel... bring your own toiletries (shampoo/lotion/soap) but quiet, and clean ( wood and tile floors - no yucky carpet), comfortable bed, door that locks, easy to find, exceptionally good find for those on a tight budget.. It is slowly being updated by the owner/manager.
The only think not working was the vanity light... not a to die for issue.
- Jennifer (2/5): - Hated it
- Coya (10/5): - Friendly...Clean...beds were good
- David (8/5): - Comfortable beds, probably the best I’ve had in a motel stay anywhere . Clean room. No bad smells. Dead bolt on entry door didn’t work. Bring your own pillows. The pillows they have are empty sacks. For the price I haven’t found better value. Very hot water and plenty of it. Place to sleep, which is what we needed. Refrigerator and microwave were clean and worked well. Refrigerator was missing a shelf however.
- Tim (10/5): - My parents live in DeLeon and this is where we stay when we visit. The Highway 6 Cafe right next door has great food and excellent service within easy walking distance. They were doing roadwork on Hwy 6 right in front of the hotel this time. The hotel is an older property but the rooms are well-kept and clean if a little outdated. The beds were comfortable, Wifi was good and we had everything we needed. Weekend stays might be a little noisier, but we were there on weeknights this time and there were no complaints. The heater worked very well as did the mini fridge, microwave and TV. This is perfect for us since we just need the basics. If you're looking for a pool, exercise room or free breakfast, try Comanche at about twice the cost per night.
- Jessica (8/5): Clean & Decent Room for the Price - As many other reviews have mentioned, the inn is older. However, the room itself was clean and in good repair. There was a small refrigerator and microwave. There was a desk/chair and bed. It was a decent room at a good price. No issues with the hot water/bathroom. The bed was in relatively good shape. It did sag - not too bad - but I think that is the nature of most motel/inns.
The biggest issue that I had was the noise in the parking lot late at night. I don't know what was happening but there was a commotion/party/noise or something that happened between 12-2... I don't know because I was asleep. While it was somewhat concerning, no one knocked on my door.
Overall, a decent motel. I'll likely be back.
- Steven (10/5): - Perfect location for me to come hunt and be comfortable and eat good food at the Hwy 6 cafe . See yall soon. Thank You !
- Tamara (2/5): - Property was dirty and staff was rude--ended up not staying here but going on to the next town and finding a room there
- Ronnie (8/5): - Excellent!!!
- Carl (10/5): A Blast From the Past - It was a blast from the past (a good thing). It is like the old travel lodges. The rooms seemed renovated. The manager lives on sight and is helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean. The Highway 6 Cafe is 150 feet away and has a fantastic breakfast. Only negative was the road construction.
- Greg (4/5): - If you’re looking for the Bates Motel this is it!
- Carla (6/5): - A little run down but it was a place to sleep
- dell (8/5): Just what we needed... nothing more. - 2 senior females travelling. The door locked, sheets were clean, comfortable bed, it was quiet, no bad smell, and convenient. Felt save. No bugs.
The physical appearance was of an older property needing some sprucing up. Walls were a deep red and the door was orange, but it didn't bother our sleep in the dark.
Good place to stay for the price.
- Anita (8/5): - Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet and convenient location close to dining amd shops.
- William (4/5): - I was not impressed by it. You can see they tried remodeling but it was shabby work.
- Laurie (8/5): Great choice for a sleep and go - Nice mom & pop, older facility but kept well enough. Comfy bed, coffee machine, microwave, fridge, and piping hot water. Small cafe next door with very reasonably priced breakfast which had Mexican style breakfast along with traditional selections.
I will utilize again.
- Jane G (10/5): - We were pleasantly surprised at how clean this older property was. The renovated room was nice, the bed comfortable and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay.
- Duane (10/5): - They took great care of us while we stayed…
I will return for sure!
- Todd (6/5): De Leon
- Over all OK, but dirty. Feet turn black walking to bathroom.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - We arrived late from Kerrville, TX, the gentleman at check-in was waiting for us.
Very friendly & efficient, already had the room’s A/C turned on & room cooled off. Very clean bed & bathroom.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and easy to find.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Love the microwave and fridge dont always see these.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Despite construction on the street in front, it was really quiet. Quick and easy check in. Hot water and cool a/c. Satisfactory!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - For the price. They did a fairly good job
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We didn't expect much for the price but it was worse than we could have ever expected. The room stunk like a combination of dirty litter box and mildew trying to be covered up with too many cleaning products. Turned on the heater unit to circulate the air and it smelled worse than the room! The bed was sitting on 2x6's stuck together and covered with a sheet. The mattress was so old that the springs poked into you. The bathroom door had been repainted but needed about 3 more coats. If anyone could think that it looked good or even acceptable proves the overall lack of care for the maintenance of the property.
- HEATHER (6/5): - VERY NICE FOR AN OLDER COUNTRY HOTEL. HOWEVER, NO PLACE TO WALK DOGS (AFTER PAYING EXTRA FOR THE DOG TO BE THERE) AND BEDS ARE VERY HARD AND UNCOMFORTABLE
- Verified traveler (6/5): Business Stay - De Leon Inn was the only property to stay. The price was what you would expect for a small town motel. The room was nicer than expected, however the bed was extremely hard, the pillows were flat and the shower was very difficult to find a comfortable setting without getting scalded. It served its purpose since we were on a business trip.
- John (6/5): Bloody rag - The bloody rag at the check in desk was not too cool
- Charles (10/5): - Outstanding
- rebecca (10/5): - We just needed a place to get some rest in a trip. No frills, just a good clean room which is exactly what we got. Even though we arrived around midnight, check in was quick and friendly.
- david (6/5): - The wall electric sockets didnt work. Rm 112
