Guest Reviews
- Michelle (10/5): - Very cute place. Very walkable to shops, restaurants and beach
- John (8/5): - Helpful clerk and renovated room.
- Jason (10/5): - Perfect location
- Jenny (10/5): - The room was very clean
- Jesse (10/5): - It's close to Mom's house.
- Rudy (4/5): - This was the only place available during the air show. The room was clean but it wasn’t a place I would normally stay at.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Save yourself the trouble. - The first room I tried was making me ill to stay in. The second room I tried, I thought I could stay in, but I was wrong. The bed sheets seemed clean but the floor made the soles of my feet black. Then I checked out completely. The attendant said the unavailable owner was the only person that could refund my money. I was unable to get to him before I left, so I will be disputing the charges.
- Eric (10/5): - Needed a room during air show week and it did the job. Management friendly and supportive.
- Sandra (4/5): - Did not return my calls on day of checkin. No one at front desk when I arrived. Other tenants noisy. Room key didn’t work. Litter in the parking lot. No towel bars anywhere. Only one tiny waste basket. No recycle basket. One washcloth was stained. No coffee pot in the room.
But the bed was comfortable. A/C worked. Larger than usual refrigerator. Good location for our needs.
- Amy (8/5): Surprise, the rooms are awesome. - The outside looks pretty scary, but inside the rooms are really nice and huge. There is brand new flooring and nice and clean with new bed spreads. The beds were very comfortable. They need to clean and update the outside of the building.
- Scott (4/5): - our room was no smoking but smelled of smoke. Room was clean, but motel was old. I would not recommend.
- Jill (10/5): - I really appreciated the owner's vibe.
- Adam (2/5): - Got accused of smoking in the room but that never happened. And it was the neighbor next door who smokes
- Todd G (2/5): - Bare matress with sheets stacked up, not made ! Canceled and asked for refund. Would not recommend !
- Ron (6/5): Better than I Thought - Looks a little sketchy from the outside. Room was neat and clean. Was quiet. Pleasantly surprised. No issues.
- Timothy (8/5): - It was a good price and convenient access to downtown Oshkosh.
- Tim (4/5): - Woken up at 5 am by a women staying at motel. She was screaming about angels in the sky and obviously intoxicated-high. He room was a few doors away from mine. When I left she was still drinking outside her door and her room door was open. Obviously a long term tenant. Gross.
- Josh (10/5): - Was just blown away when i opened the door of how nice, classy, clean, and modern everything was. Very comfortable and everything worked.
- Dessiree allen (2/5): Controlling - I brought some of my own blankets up stairs to my room and The manager Call my room and asked how many gas I had with me because he saw me bringing more blankets amphitheater asking I have no gas so bad for 10 o’clock
- Francois (2/5): - Rooms under low-budget repairs. Internet failing all the time. Poor maintenance. Room service almost unexistant. In conclusion this motel is worth 69$ / night, we fell to have been stolen by an abusive pricing. A terrible experience we lived because it was prepaid. The only, really only positive point is the location near downtown area.
- Sandra (4/5): Meh! - Motel is run down and unattractive. Because of EAA AirVentures we paid an extremely high price for our room. The only plus was that the manager paid a special trip to the store to buy ice for us.
- Thomas (10/5): - Great recommendations on a local restaurant/bar and when the front desk associate brought a hair dryer for my friend that was huge!
- Lucy (8/5): - There was one bed that didn't have fitted sheet on the bed, no garbage can, not enough towels, and the shower did not work. The staff were very helpful to assist my sister and I to get the items we needed and a different room to use a shower.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bare bones - Check-in was relatively easy. The room was bare bones! No hangers, no dresser, no desk, and no chairs. The floor made weird sounds as you walked on it as if it wasn't put down correctly. Went to take a shower the next morning, but the screw that worked the water was stripped, so no shower, no bath. I've paid less for a room and gotten far more...and a shower.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great customer service Nd they cool Nd respect them
- Verified traveler (10/5): Manage your expectations - This was a nice Travel Motel. Clean. They took care of our needs and dressed the room each night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Room was clean and simple, it was what I expected for the price. The motel property was a bit run down. Some things needed fixing. You could see light from under the door. The walls were so thin you could clearly hear people having conversations above and to the sides of you. There was a constant flow if cigarette smoke smell that kept lofting into the room. The location was convenient for our event, but was on the edge of one of the sketchy parts of town. The staff was friendly. The people I ran into there were nice, location and outward appearance of the building were less than desirable.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It was dirty and unsafe furniture, shower curtain was ripped and water on the floor, spider web everywhere. Looks like the floor had never been clean and vacuum...
- Cat (2/5): Just DON’T stay here. - Absolutely the worst motel experience of my life. Just DON’T book here. From the disconnected motel phone number, to the filthy, disheveled room (no joke/we’re sure the sheets hadn’t been changed!), to the poor outside lighting, to the insistence of the night manager (whom we had to go searching for upon arrival-she was holed up in a room) only wanting a $20 CASH deposit, necessitating finding an atm in this dark, closed side of town late at night, I could not have been less-satisfied. Do yourself a favor and book the Motel 6 in Oshkosh. It’s clean and they have a pool.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - it was dirty abd filty.the face basin looks like it had vomit in it and didnt clean at all .the bed looks like when u in the mountain.spider running around
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was pleasant, room very clean and roomy. Served its purpose of providing a good nights sleep.
- John (6/5): Last Stay for me. - Very basic, no furniture in the room other than one bedside table, a card table, one arm chair and one folding chair and we had to ask for those. No doors on or hanging rails in the closets so no way to hang clothes even if we had coat hangers.
- Patti (6/5): Good for sleeping - Room was clean but very sparsely furnished. It was quiet and dark which made sleeping comfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): It depends..... - The motel and the rooms and the furniture are very old. The couple running the motel are friendly and service oriented. The bath tub needs a complete detail clean with bleach and the shower curtain looks like has not bee changed in 20 years. The location in downtown is close to bus terminal and other amenities. We stayed there in lieu of camping at EAA Airventure so it was a step up from camping.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dirty. No trash can. Bad locks. It was bad. W as y to expensive.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - STAY AWAY! Uninhabitable. We checked out within an hour. Evidence of bedbug infestation, strong smoke/chemical odor, mold in bathroom, carpet was a trip hazard, and towels/sheets/pillow cases had yellow stains. Once we found the desk manager to complain, he said that this room had recently been remodeled (other rooms appeared to have been vandalized) and we would need to speak with owners to get a refund. No call back or response to several emails sent to the "owners."

We booked this room several months in advance of the Oshkosh Airshow because the area books quickly. It had an average rating from Orbitz, evidently because that's the default rating when there are no reviews. After seeing the clientele ("meth users" came to mind repeatedly, and it looks like people pay there by the week), I suspect that their typical guest doesn't use Orbitz. The motel nearly quadrupled their standard rate because of people coming into town for the air show. We ended up staying at a Best Western for more than double the price and felt it was well worth the cost to avoid catching something at the Town Motel (and when we told the clerk at Best Western that we'd just left the Town Motel, the clerk laughed and said she'd heard rumors that the dump had been charging unbelievable prices due to the Air Show, which we confirmed).
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very run down, chipped paint, loose faucet, dampness in the air despite ac on
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The staff seem nice enough, but the cleanliness of the room was cause for concern. There were spider webs in one of our windows and a dead spider in another when we arrived. In the 4 days we were there the floors were never vacuumed and the bed sheets where never changed. The room we were in had new flooring and the walls were recently painting, but all the renewals were really rough around the edges and looked rushed. We had a fridge and a microwave, but no other amenities were provided
- Hew (4/5): - Basic
- Verified traveler (2/5): Dirty and not safe please avoid - 100% un safe and disgusting, we lasted two hours, hotels.com would never offer a refund or help in these situations this will be the last time we use them, our business social media following of 78k will have the full review soon, we took a fast book in town recommended by hotels .com they have never even looked in to this place and care not of the safety, stained towels, stained blankets, stained floors and dirt everywhere tape over outlets, orange water out of shower and faucet it was like a horror movie, it looks like the city houses homeless here as well, lasted less than two hours before we checked out tried to use the dryer there someone opened my load and left it open after 5 min as if I wasn’t suppose to use it or something? Very scary employees office stinks like a run down shelter, very very gross the list gos on! Hotels wouldn’t do anything in this situation for us please avoid using hotels.com they allow these places on their recommendation list and it’s not safe they do not check them.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The front desk closed before I got there so I literally couldn’t get to my room
- Matt (6/5): It's a room if that's what you need. - The rooms had an odor and the sheets looked like they were not changed/cleaned from the previous visitors.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - It waa old. Paint chipped off around the doors. Tub was disgusting. Holes in the shower curtain. There waa old soap on top of the shower that had dust on it. The box spring sheets were stained like someone urinated on them. No shampoo, but 2 conditioners. I has to go back for my security deposit. There wasn't even a cup for water.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Shower had no hot water, no curtains over the window so it was really bright in the room, 20$ key deposit was a pain to get money back, parking wasn’t real good and some shady characters sitting in their cars probably shooting up ready to break in to vehicles. Office smelt terrible!
- Joey (2/5): Bedbugs - I awoke in the morning with no less than 20 bites on my legs, hands, arms, neck, ears, abdomen and neck/head/face. I stayed in room 51. I know that you can have these bloodsuckers in the nicest of places. Lesson learned don’t go for the cheapest price. An extra 30-40 dollars could have potentially avoided some pain and discomfort as I have huge welts and sores in the above mentioned areas! Chose this place not solely on price but for its proximity to where we were having a get together and and honoring a couple of our fallen warriors lost the same day in 2004 in Iraq. So in that the location was a positive however not worth being a late night snack for creepy crawlers!
- Wilbert (6/5): My stay at the town motel - Well it was good till it got late then the heater stopped working and it was 20 degrees at night so i was freezing. But other that that is was ok 😉
- Mick (2/5): - A real dive. Nothing redeeming about the place. Would sleep in the car before I would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The stay was fine, and the cleaner straightened the room in between nights. So that was good. They have a soda machine.
The bottom mattress (attached to frame) was sagging in the middle. The walls were a bit thin. The private part of the bathroom was of minimum size. There were a couple of stains on the pillow cases. There was a lot of empty space in the room. The door did not have a deadbolt. The window was cracked.
- Jimbo (8/5): - An obviously older hotel (e.g., conventional [metal] room keys) that seems at first pretty dumpy, but that's really attributable mostly to location. Once you're inside the room and re-evaluate impressions quickly improve.
- Gary (2/5): - It was the only hotel with a vacancy for our trip to see the Green Bay Packers play, should have been a warning then. When we arrived I checked in, it when fine. We then went to the room, it was very plain at best but, my wife could not tell if the bed was just re-made or if they put on clean sheets. She was turned off and refused to stay so when the game was over we drove home.
- VICTOR (2/5): Take this motel off your site - We would give this motel a zero if we could, we did not end up staying here. We recommend that hotels.com remove Town Motel off its site. This was the worst place we have ever seen. The room smelled, there were no pictures on the wall ( just the nail holes where they had been) no furniture just a dishelved bed and a tv bolted to a stand. We had booked with no refund!! Thankfully after talking to a manager/supervisor at hotels.com we were given a voucher for the "full" amount be used immediately and we able to find another place a little way out of town. Do not stay here!
- Kayoua (10/5): - What I like was that I was left alone and not bothered and if I was to need something the caretaker was alway on site cleaning or in her room. Really friendly staffs really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere with no dramas . And what I like best was that there’s an actual key to lock and unlock the door unlike some other places uses a electronic card to get in. They can really use some good maintenance to help with some of the work they were doing when I was there. Had great experience and would love to return when I visit there again! Definitely would recommend to friends and family!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very bad hotel would never stay went to a new hotel.
