It was also confusing to find the elevator, which was especially stressful when running in the morning for an appointment. Some visible signs would be helpful.

However, the bar downstairs is open 24/7 and has hot water if you don’t mind getting it from there. I happen to have a metal water bottle that I could fill up, so making tea wasn’t too hard.

- Markwardt (7/5): Zentrale Lage in Zürich - Sehr gute, zentrale Lage, ca. 300 Meter zum See und fußläufig Innenstadt. Die sparsame Innenausstattung Zimmer - kein Wasserkocher, kleines Bad mit Toilette - ist aber typisch Motel One. Da sind dann aber 300 Euro pro Nacht sportlich.

- Mihaly Daniel (9/5): Clean, cozy hotel with perfect location, awesome breakfast and kind staff - The room was actually one of the cleanest rooms I’ve ever stayed in and it had automatic curtains so it wouldn’t get hot if we’re away. Walls are thick and I didn’t hear any noise. The breakfast was really good with high quality food and there was option for on-the-go coffee or tea by reusable cups. As other reviews said, there’s truly no refrigerator which would be great (especially in summer) and the shower’s floor was a bit worn but these are just minor issues, I still recommend the hotel.

In der recht leeren Hotelbar 10 Minuten vergeblich auf den Service gewartet, dann bin ich direkt an den Tresen gegangen und wurde wieder zum Tisch zurück geschickt mit den Hinweis „das Servicepersonal kommt“. Ja stimmt, allerdings erst nach weiteren 20 Minuten! Sowas geht wirklich GAR NICHT und ist absolut inakzeptabel! Wenn die Location selbst nicht so schön wär, wären wir längst gegangen.

- Nelly (8/5): Das Hotel ist gut gelegen, fussläufig alles erreichbar; Bahnhof, Innenstadt, See und Strassenbahn. - Das Zimmer war zweckmässig eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war gut. Schöne Bar. Freundliches Personal. Die Sofas in der Bar und beim Empfang dürften erneuert werden, ältere Personen kommen kaum mehr hoch. Leider kein Schrank im Zimmer (für 5 Tage). Nur 1 Sessel für 2 Personen. Beim Frühstücksbuffet sind die Teller weit unten, müsste evtl. einmal überdacht werden.

- Ajla (5/5): Wouldn’t recommend - how close it is to the centre- a 10 minute walk to the old town I wouldn’t stay here again- it’s ridiculously expensive for what it is. No fridge or even kettle in the room and you’re charging premium price for a basic room. The bathroom is very very small. I left a towel on the floor and the cleaner put it back on the rack- i knew it was the same one because it was wet from when i used it to dry my hair in the morning from my shower. There is also one chair in the room and that is it. The lack of privacy is not great either, you open your curtain and across the window is other rooms and the corridor so you basically have to have the curtains closed the whole time unless you want people staring. Wouldn’t recommend- I feel frustrated that I paid so much money for such a below-average hotel.
