- Malcolm (4/5): Overall way too pricey and located in a dead end of town. - The room was comfortable and the area was quiet. The only friendly staff were the door staff who always greeted us with a smile and helpful conversation. Outside our room were large industrial fans trying to dry carpet from a major leak. I had to insist on another room. The manager was reluctant but conceded and placed us in another room. The restaurant and food was very basic and staff borderline on friendly. The location of the hotel is in the dead end of town as there was absolutely no where to go for entertainment. Do not stay there on a Monday as it appears everything is closed and I mean everything.

The location is very convenient; walking distance to practically anywhere downtown. Southern Hospitality at its finest. All of the hotel staff members are among the friendliest and most professional in my 50+ years on this planet, and I’ve been to many, many hotels around the world. A special shout out to the valet Amanda. She is a treasure…great customer service, friendly persona and very professional.

Busy weekend and so many rooms were not ready by check in. Kristie,at the front desk, was pleasant and professional in an overwhelming situation. Amanda at the valet station was so sweet and happy. Highly recommend staying here.

Ensured I was safely park and also offered any further assistance I needed. She’s a great addition to the staff. She was full of energy at 8 AM and maintain that same energy level throughout the day. I didn’t valet park, yet felt valued for my money and decision to stay at the Westin in a Jackson, MS. Thank you Amanda for your great customer service!

Pool had a pipe that sucked my hand and side in that almost broke a finger. Very dangerous. Reported to front desk. Hot tub was not working and needed after the marathon run. Blanket and comforter on bed kept sliding off. Was very uncomfortable. Room wouldn’t get cool enough. Toilet was stuck and continued to run. Not enough TV chooses or apps available to use. Towels were very small and stiff. Over priced for the stay. We travel a lot and was disappointed in accommodations.

When I reported these problems to the front desk, the clerk laughed and seemed to find the situation amusing instead of addressing my concerns professionally. That response was very upsetting and unprofessional. Despite the long delay, room issues, and poor customer service, no complimentary service or effort was made to resolve the inconvenience. This was especially frustrating since I booked two rooms and expected a much higher level of hospitality. Overall, this experience fell far below expectations, and I hope management takes steps to improve customer service and maintenance responses moving forward.

- Jalisa (1/5): - I stayed at the Westin in Jackson,Ms on February 28-March 1st. Overall the hotel cleanliness was fine however several things happened during my stay that caused frustration and discomfort. I arrived a little early to check in and I was greeted by front desk staff asking if I was coming to check in, I replied yes ma’am. Her reply was “well rooms won’t be ready until 3pm” this was fine. I completely understood, however I felt like this could’ve been addressed differently. This was sort of like a backhand reply. I’ve worked in hospitality a few years and felt like this could’ve been scripted different such as, “I have no problem getting you checked in however since we have no rooms ready at the moment I wouldn’t be able to get you into a room until 3pm”. So 3 pm comes, rooms still are not available. It isn’t until 4 pm that I get to check in. I also felt like I should’ve been made aware of this when I I attempted to check in the first time. I expected to get checked in right away as I had 2 small children with me which were getting very agitated. We finally get checked into the room. Everything was fine, until I try and shower and there’s no water pressure in the shower or sink. I call down and was informed they had a water leak earlier and that this should be resolved soon. 2 hours went by. The water pressure built up a tad bit, but the water wasn’t even hot. Not sure if it was related but the “heated pool” wasn’t hot either. This was very frustrating and I expected SO much more out of the Westin. This was my first time staying here because I wanted a nice comfortable stay for my family, however I just didn’t get that. We traveled 8 hours to come here to not even be able to get a hot shower. Very disappointed to say the least!!

- cesar vinicius (1/5): Pay for your breath - They don't have free parking. Charge you 28$ for a valet or ask you to park in the Street and pay the city park. Also breakfast is paid. Wifi is paid. You have to pay to everything. Deposit is a good amount and take longs days to refund it. Not good experience and wouldn't recommend.

The manager was very apologetic and helpful when needing his approval to have Booking issue a refund. However Booking only provided a partial refund for a two night reservation. Probably will not use Booking for future reservations due to this Rooms were dirty. Blood on bathroom. First room had an issue with the AC vent constantly making a loud whistling sound. Moved to a second room and it was even dirtier.

- jenyc01 (10/5): Southern hospitality - We were treated so well here. As a platinum member, we got upgraded and also got free breakfast every day. Breakfast was so good. We really enjoyed our stay here. Spa wasn’t great so may need to skip it.

- Stephanie (10/5): Perfect stop when driving to Florida - We always stay here when we drive from Texas to Miramar Beach Fl. We love everything about this hotel. Clean beds so comfortable and pillows are like sleeping on a cloud. Staff knows us now when we come and our mini schnauzer Bella just loves it here too. Love the restaurant/bar too after a long drive nothing better than dinner with a good glass of red wine

- W4337COkaylaf (10/5): Valet Gentlemen - Kenny and his valet team (Sherod, Kobe, and Michael, Wann, Derron and Isaiah) were such a joy. I had some issues getting my valet code input since I prepaid, and they were all patient, collaborative, and solution seeking. I never had to wait for my vehicle even when they were busy. They were very kind in opening our doors and shutting them. Its so great to connect with people who enjoy their job, have fun, and high professionalism!

- A1728DFandread (2/5): Tried breaking into our room - Would never recommend staying here again. On our last night at this hotel, they tried opening our door THREE times . The key fob ACTUALLY opened our door and if it wasn’t for the latch at the door not letting the door go further they would’ve come in. When called the front desk to even ask how it was possible for anyone else to even have a key that opened she offered to send security WHICH NEVER CAME TO CHECK, and we decided we wouldn’t just spend the last night there because we didn’t feel safe we go downstairs and she said she was “about to call us back to say house keeping” was trying to come in…… AT 11:30 PM?!!!! THREE TIMES ?!!!! No. Unacceptable and didn’t even seem worried or tried to make it ANY BETTER for us . ANY HOTEL would’ve sent security or even tried to see what was happening. She seemed super calm and like she was part of whatever that was . It was SO SCARY and such an ANGRY situation.

There are many conference rooms, an excellent restaurant, and comfortable rooms. Michael, Kenny, and Shirod at the valet stand were especially helpful. My job was to organize the event and they made my job so much easier. Thank you!

From the moment I arrived, the service and hospitality exceeded my expectations. I want to especially recognize Micah, Raven, Des, Darrian, Sonethia, and Kenny—each of them went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable. Their professionalism, warm personalities, and genuine care truly stood out and made me feel welcomed and valued as a guest. It’s rare to encounter a team where everyone provides such exceptional service, but they did just that. Because of them, I will definitely be returning and recommending the Westin Jackson to others. Perfectly placed in downtown town Jackson, campus was beautiful, but simply put, the icing on the cake was the staff, by far, hands down. Several people stood out in making our experience exceptional and I couldn’t fail to mention them by name. Front door/valet was Top Tier! Carey, Dez, and Darrion made certain to take extra care of us during our stay. Their knowledge of situation and exceptional professionalism was unmatched. Aveisha met us with smiles and warm regards during our checkout process to end our stay and begin our day. The Westin made certain that my first visit to Jackson was one to remember. Joyce Johnson

It doesn’t have a parking area You have to pay to leave your car on the street in front of the hotel, where you can visualize that it is an area where you should not park because you are exposed to having your car towed, or you leave your car in a parking lot when passing the street in front of the hotel having to pay and leave your car key with the valet parking, and it is not comfortable to do it. All this increases the value of the stay at the hotel. If I had had that information I would not have stayed..
