Guest Reviews
- WARREZ (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful
- Gretchen (10/5): Lovely, affordable lakeside lodging, great staff! - We took our grandlovies (4 and almost-6 year old boys) to this lovely resort as part of their birthday getaway with Gaga and Buppa. Although I got completely mixed up with the area we were headed to, Cheryl (Sheryl?) was incredibly kind and helpful and guided us to their resort. We arrived at 9 pm to a beautifully clean and welcoming room with an equally welcoming staff. The lovely lady at the front desk at night helped us find a great pizza place to order food for our grandsons and made us feel so welcome. We had plenty of towels and very comfortable beds (two queen-size). In the morning, we got our swimwear on and went up to the fourth floor to a spotless and very relaxing pool and hot tub area overlooking a gorgeous view of Silver Lake and the beautiful sand dunes. There was even a squeaky-clean post-swim shower there to rinse the chlorine off. Housekeeping staff was so sweet too: I had asked where I could take the pizza boxes and bagged trash I had rounded up from our stay and was told "oh honey, don't worry about any of that. We handle all of that!" After we left, we made a quick left turn to go check out the sand dunes and the cool house that had a lighthouse attached to it. Beautiful area and we loved climbing up to the top of the dunes and watching the dune buggies go bounding down the steep vehicle areas (the resort nearly backs up to the public access for the sand dunes and there's a staircase to climb almost to the top). Already planning next year's trip there!
- Barbara (10/5): - Excellent location right on the shores of Silver Lake.
- Alexander (10/5): - Room was very clean, staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.
- Gabrielle (10/5): - Liked the balcony and waterfront view
- john (8/5): - Wished we could have had a room on the water side. Chairs in room weren’t very comfortable.
- Anne (8/5): - ❤️
- Lloyd (10/5): - Nice location
- Cynthia (10/5): - We loved seeing the sunsets off our balcony. Beautiful mornings too.
- Debra (10/5): - Had no complaints. Could walk to shopping and eateries easily.
- Leann (10/5): - Very centrally located with a great view as the sun goes down. We enjoyed our weekend stay. Front desk staff were very sweet and helpful.
- Adam (8/5): Nice spot - Great spot right on the lake and perfectly located for the Apple BBQ festival. I wish they had a fire pit on their beach to make up for not being able to camp. Would have completed the Fall experience. In general nice and clean rooms if a little dated. My only real issue is the water in the shower was barley luke warm.
- Sonja (8/5): - I liked the balcony on the lake side.
It was beautiful!
The beds had a hard border around them. It hurt to sit on the edge.
- Denise (10/5): - The staff was so nice. Cheryl is awesome
- Verified traveler (8/5): Up North Charm with a Few Trade-Offs - Location was great, right in the center of everything. Accommodations were nothing special - definitely up north resort without any recent updates. The rooms were decently sized, but beds were uncomfortable.
The pool and hot tub area was nice and large enough to avoid feeling crowded with other guests. A little pricey for what the place is, but we had a great time, and the staff was very welcoming.
- Debbie Ronald (10/5): Silver lake trip - The location was perfect right in the middle of town accessible to everything.
- Morgan (10/5): - AMAZING
- Becky (10/5): - Very friendly staff, loved our stay here. Also a very convenient spot with beautiful view. Enjoyed walking next door to the coffee shop and bakery for breakfast.
- Carrie (10/5): Lakeview is b - The best part of the room is the view. I recommend getting a lake view room.
- Christine (8/5): - great location
- Dina (10/5): - Great staff, clean rooms, beautiful view
- Anton (10/5): - Everything
- Bruce (10/5): - Great location and staff was very helpful and friendly
- Robert (10/5): - Close to silver lake. Realy close, lol
- George (10/5): - Everything
- Meinrat (10/5): - We had a peasant stay in a room with a view of the lake and dunes. The food options in walking distance were somewhat limited.
- Brian (10/5): - Beautiful scenery. Hotel is a little outdated but not terrible
- Rodney (6/5): - Old facility in a great location. Even given the time of year, it was not worth the cost of a single night rate.
- Charlotte (8/5): - Room was great! Staff was very nice and helpful, overall nice area!
- Jordynn (10/5): - The front desk staff, Alisha, was incredibly nice and helpful. The hotel was SO clean. Can’t wait to come back!
- Marissa (10/5): - Friendly staff and great location and views
- Marissa (10/5): - Great views, friendly staff, great stay
- Jeeyea (8/5): - Great location and fun place to visit!
- Elspeth (6/5): - Good amenities but very dated and there is a musty smell in the rooms.
- Frank (8/5): - Breakfast would be nice.
- Terri (4/5): Not worth the price - The beds were absolutely horrible. It was like sleeping on cement. The little fridge was not working and the beach access was not what they portray it to be. I would expect much more for the price we paid. We will not be returning or recommending it to anyone.
- Sheryl (10/5): - Clean room. Large pool but ver shallow a free breakfast would have been nice.very walkable area.
- Marissa (8/5): - Lakeview balcony was a great amenity. Rooms were outdated and didn’t have 1 consistent color scheme. Bed was uncomfortable and the mattress protector was loud like laying on a grocery bag. Front desk staff was very helpful. Hotel was great location. There was no soft screen behind curtains so if you wanted to change in the room you had to completely shut the heavy window curtain which would make the room very dark. Arcade games do not reflect accurately in the photo. Would definitely book again, but for the price it was not 5 stars.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Front desk staff was great. Clean and safe property. All shops within walking distance. Great place.
- David (8/5): - Hotel is a little dated. But the property was clean, beds comfy, view amazing and the staff fantastic. Would definably book this place again.
- Tammi (8/5): - Great place to stay little pricey
- Chris (6/5): - No microwave in the room. No exhaust fan in the bathroom. No light on the outside of the bathroom where the coffee pot sits.
- Douglas (6/5): - View loved no ammenties in room no micro wave no on wall shower supplies in bathroom
- Kevin (10/5): Vary nice…friendly staff - 3rd floor room overlooking Silver Lake was picturesque…we were pre-visitor season and the town was empty…easy to get around…imagine it’s quite busy by Memorial Day
- Alexandria (6/5): - Ou
- Abraham (6/5): - .
- Jim (6/5): - It was unfortunately, at the end of the season and it was apparent. I’m sure everything is fine earlier in the season but there were a few relatively minor issues now.
- Kathleen (10/5): - NA
- Julie (10/5): - Very clean property. Well lite parking lot. Beautiful view of Silver Lake in a great location.
- Aaron (10/5): - Beautiful clean rooms, jacuzzi tub was nice, close proximity to the dunes and beach
- Cheryl (10/5): - Great place. Would definitely stay here again!!!
- Justas (4/5): - The view from balcony is amazing. Room condition is terrible. No microwaves in the rooms.
- Maggie (6/5): - I did not like that there were signs everywhere threatening extra charges. I understand people take advantage of hotels and steal towels etc but the agreement you sign while checking in that details charges for everything from pets to smoking in the room was more than sufficient. It is uncomfortable and not hospitable.
- Myndi (6/5): Overall Ok - Location is great! Right in the middle or everything in town and was clean. Great view of the water. The Downfall was the bed was really hard and uncomfortable and although the pool was huge, it was only 3 feet deep. Great for little kids, but not for adults wanting to unwind. Also wish they served breakfast cuz there isn’t much close by.
- Julie (10/5): - Hotel sits across from Silver Lake Sand Dunes and Silver Lake, beautiful sunset!Hotel was clean and easy to walk to other locations.
- Theresa (10/5): - No issues!
- Michael (10/5): - ORV and Boat rentals are very close
- Stephanie (6/5): - For the price the rooms could have been more updated. The bed was very uncomfortable and small flat pillows.
- Christi (10/5): - Staff was very friendly, rooms were nice!
- Chris (4/5): - Areas that were close for convenience. Quite and relaxing. Only problem was whirlpool hott tub water the hott water never got hott so never got to use it which hopefully i get compensated for that!!
- Zainab (6/5): - Fairly clean and friendly service. Nice to have proximity to San dunes and the lakes :) would just have to say the cleaning products smell way too strong and unpleasant, and pool area odor and cleanliness made it unusable for us.
- Vytas (10/5): - Perfect location, friendly staff. Will be back!
- Bashar (10/5): - Very good customer service
- Stephen (8/5): - a pretty decent pace to stay. Clean and everything worked. This is on the water with a sand beach but there a re so many boat docks that it is not real attractive, it is good for small children. There are a number of attractions and food shops within an easy walk but to g et real food you will have to drive. Nice indoor swimming pool and hot tub on the top floor. There is a small coffee pot in the room no microwave. The automatic coffee machine down the hall makes terrible coffee. I would prefer a comfortable chair to sit in rather than the typical straight dining rm chair, Overall if we were back in the area we would certainly consider staying here again.
- Lindsay (8/5): - Check in was great , had a cleaning issue with the first room . But staff was quick to change rooms and double check with me. Again staff was excellent
- Anthony (6/5): - The bathroom was not good the toilet did not flush right and the water pressure for the shower was not good. It was too pricy for what we got.
- Larry (10/5): - The property was very nice. The indoor pool was perfect for the kids because it was 22” in the shallow end. Perfect for the kids to play in. Be careful for the kids walking near the pool though, the tile gets slippery when wet. The hotel room was well kept. Microwave is in lobby. Overall great experience!
- Michael C (6/5): - Very basic, not really a resort, but just a hotel
- Adam (10/5): - Location was Awesome
- Justin (6/5): - I like the room jacuzzi suite with balcony but no Wi-Fi on the 2nd floor for my 2 day stay
(1st floor only for Wi-Fi who wants to go
down to lobby area to use it SMH).
was bs it’s on them to provide satisfaction of that service to customers and the owner didn’t t care at all the beds are not soft at all they suck beds hard as a rock every room but the staff were super cool I hope they get treated good I wasn’t even asking for a big kick back the area is still beautiful and I want go back but the beds make me never want to go back and the owners attitude towards his customers makes hard to spend our money here again
- Josh (6/5): - Beds and pillows are rock hard. No breakfast pool area was nice. Hotel itself is definitely dated no microwave in room.
- Janine (10/5): - Love the balcony view of Silver lake.
- DARRYL (10/5): - Clean, great views. Wonderful time.
- Shirley (10/5): - All properties were well cared for. Just sitting and being so near the lake was wonderful.
- Linda (6/5): - I like the location, but the door to my room had to be slammed in order to close it and the tv didn’t work.. I didn’t say anything bc I assumed I got that room bc I booked through Expedia. Otherwise it was clean and it was quiet..
- Sara (10/5): Best Vacation spot! - Very pleased. First family vacation! Absolutely perfect spot. Balcony looking at the Sand Dunes and the lake! Walking distance for everything!
- Elizabeth (10/5): Great view - Such a beautiful view! Cozy and a great spa in the room. A bit pricey but overall incredible.
- Zena (10/5): - Nice property to stay at when visiting the dunes
- Roberta (10/5): - it was an awesome resort type property. Although for the price I would expect a breakfast or something for food a there are not sit-down restaurants near.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not great, but not the worst place I've stayed at. - Room had air conditioner(set at 70) but it smelled musty & was super humid the entire time. It was also working very hard the entire time even the temps were 73 high & 59 low. If you like hard beds, then this is the place for you. Unfortunately, we own a temperpedic cloud-the softest bed on the market so these stiff as a board beds were horrible. No microwave. It was clean & did NOT allow pets which was perfect for me--I'm allergic & who wants dog pee all over the carpet? Not me. I don't care how well you clean, pee is pee! Small tv. Pool goes from 1 foot to only 3 foot because it's on the 4th floor. Wasn't ideal for my 6' tall son & his other 2 tall cousins. Be prepared to pay a lot for a lake view. We didn't, thank goodness, because the lake is not pretty. Parking was easy. Small arcade-5 games. Small fridge in room. Wouldn't stay there again.
- dany (10/5): - Very friendly staf,very accommodating
- Joyce (6/5): Rooms need to be updated - This place needs to have some updates done everything is pretty outdated I do love the view I guess that’s what you are paying for at over 400 a night. I was a little disappointed for the price.
- Nancy (6/5): - Nice to be by the lake but the hotel for the price can use updating. Remote didnt completely work for the tv, bathroom had no fan, older looking. There was no air on in the pool area and the hot tub water didnt look very clean. The game area was very hot also tge 3rd floor hallway, when your paying 300$ a night for a hotel they should be able to afford to turn up the air conditioning. As for the bed the pillows seemed they had been washed a million times and not as comfortable. I wont lie I was dissapointed in the hotel and i have been going to silver lake for years.
- Perla (10/5): - All good
- Kate (10/5): - Average hotel for the price. Water to fill the hot tub doesn’t get that hot
- Daniel P (8/5): - Beautiful view of Solver Lake and the sand dunes.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No complimentary breakfast, You have to bring your own fire pit and grill..
- Justin (10/5): - The overflow parking for our trailer was right across the street.
- Nicholas (8/5): - Beach access is not for swimming, there’s a sea wall into a boat dock area. Comfortable beds, clean facility & property. Restaurants & entertainment in the area by water is considerably overpriced & of average to poor quality.
- Jessie (8/5): Nice view from balcony - It was clean and friendly. But there is no breakfast or any options for food and the pool is on the fourth floor...our room was below it and there was a large side water spot in our ceiling 🙄 the view from my balcony, however, was amazing!!!
- Tracy (6/5): Pricey for 1 night - Little pricey for 1 night
- Erica (10/5): - Beautiful view!
- Markus N (4/5): DISAPPOINTED - No microwave
Pool is cold and shallow
Hot tub was dirty
Had to go to front counter for towels for the pool (which was on the 4th floor!)
