• Jeffrey (1/5): Leek goed, maar was teleurstellend! - De twee persoonskamers zitten aan de voorkant van het hotel. Hier is het erg warm, en airco krijgt kamer niet kouder. Ook kwam er een nare geur uit de badkamer. Ook het ontbijt was niet veel en niet goed. Zou hier zeker niet meer verblijven.

• Jolique (8/5): If was a great spot to explore Makassar! - The location of expressia is superb. All main things to see are walking distance. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is mediocre and reception/central area are very ‘clean’.

• Mohammad (9/5): Fair value - Location and staff are great. There is some noise at night from the street food market and a bar near by. We chose it because it's near to everything. There was no electricity sockets in the bathroom. You have to do hair drying in the room.

• Chrisshona (8/5): Good location by the sea - Clean rooms. Helpful staff. Great location by the sea. Excellent views from the top floors. A good Makassar option! Aircon struggled to cool the room down quickly. Bathroom drain was a bit smelly at times.

• Felipe (1/5): BUNCH OF THIEVES!!! - The location is good, the rooms are reasonable, good cleaning, good shower, good air conditioning. I got ripped off by this hotel!! When I checked in I tried to pay twice with my debit card and it was denied by the machine. I paid the third time with another card and it was accepted. soon after I received the message that the first two attempts were charged in the form of pre-authorization. I spoke to the unfriendly manager and she confirmed the three payments but said that it would not be possible to refund me and that I would get my money back within 14 days. Even if he did, which he didn't, that's absurd!!!! because if I needed the money before, it would not be available. But the manager didn't want to know, she said that there would be no refunds and that was it. I lost the whole day that I stayed in Makassar trying to get my money back and I couldn't find out anything. I have never been so disrespected by a hotel in my life. I thought about calling the police, but I didn't want to get in more trouble and I ended up accepting the loss. Do not stay at this hotel !! Bunch of thieves!! They should at least lose the partnership with booking.com.
• Mohd (8/5): it was a very short stay , but manage to feel the city character after doing the evening walk and the morning walk to th - close to the Losari Beach , and leisure activities with local connection are available. A peaceful location. nothing to comment .

• Michiel (7/5): Good - The hotel is located at a great location on losai beach and close to the fort. The rooms are modern. Price is fair. The bed linen was really dirty (stains and used to be white). No breakfast, no bar although there was a terrace including a roof terrace which was also closed. It's just a guesthouse because the hotel facilities don't work.

• Kathi (3/5): ok - The only good thing was that they had a official balcony for every guest for smoking. Also, the personal at the reception was friendly, they helped us out with every situation. When we have arrived, our beds were really ugly. both of them had big ugly stains. We asked at the reception to please change the sheets. when we came back, the sheets were as ugly as before and we had to use our sleeping bags… not so funny because for this price I can get a nice and comfortable hotel in Indonesia. also, the cleaning service was very stingy and not professional.

• Thomas (6/5): No major issues and generally OK - Reasonable place to stay. Location good near Fort Rotterdam but be aware that this is a fairly seedy area. Reception friendly and efficient. Room OK but some niggles : no hot water forvtea/coffee; couldn't change aircon from freezing; sheets full of holes; only soap is dispenser in shower so have to go in shower to wash hands. Breakfast is poor. Overall OK and decent value.
