- Sydney (8/5): - We stayed at sleeping boot and which was about half way between the train/bus station and the night market in Hualien. Not super fancy but it was clean and they provided house slippers. Nice common are on the first floor. There were curtains but for the top bunk, the top was open so eye shaded is needed. There was only one toilet per a floor. It was not a problem for us because it was not fully booked but could be a challenge. Because they are bunk beds rather than pods, you can feel the bed move when the top person enters/exits.

- YUN TING (8/5): - 離花蓮火車站非常近。浴室滿乾淨的，還有小陽台可以晾衣服。交誼聽也滿舒適的。CP值非常好。走路就可以到達將軍府。 木頭的上下舖偏舊，會有咿呀咿呀的聲音。床鋪也偏薄。沒有電梯。

- Himanshu batra (10/5): Best for solo traveller - The location is perfect—very close to all the main attractions, which made getting around super easy. The host were extremely friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist and also recommended food to try at night market..! The overall vibe was comfortable and welcoming. Definitely one of the best places to stay if you want convenience and good service. Highly recommended!

Ik had mijn enkel omgeslagen en ze hadden een coldpack voor mijn enkel. De dag erna had ik mijn schouders verbrand door de zon, ze boden me aloë vera aan op me te verzorgen. Ze houden gerust een geïntereseerde converasatie met u, zowel Engels als Chinees spreken ze vloeiend. Als ik in de toekomst nog eens een stop maak in Hualien, verblijf ik hier zeker opnieuw!

- Paddy (10/5): Stay here when in Hualien! - - The owner (Sam) is a legend, very helpful and kind with tips and knowledge about Taiwan and Hualien! - Ability to store bike securely inside the building at night. - Clean and tidy common areas and well equipped kitchen. - The 10-bed dorm has aircon as well as a balcony with a rack to dry clothes (there’s laundry facilities you can pay to use). - There are small lockers to store valuables or bigger lockers if you bring your own lock. - Supermarket, eateries and convenience stores nearby. During the day, the front door remains unlocked but the hostel remains unattended. The dorms do not lock so in terms of security, anyone can enter the building and access the dorms.

- Monika (7/5): Hassle free for one night stay between train station and downtown - Option of private room with bathroom No towels (despite picture of the room has them), barely any light in the room, bed could have been more comfortable and for a hostel - limited reception hours. I was rushing from the train to check in before 9PM and by the time I was leaving around 8AM there was no one so looks like place runs itself as I was advised by other guests what to do with my keys upon check out

- David (10/5): Cozy clean relaxing - Staff were amazing. Friendly, efficient, the place is very homey and clean, I was very impressed and slept very well. Well organized and great facility. It is a special place. The same thing I dont like all over the region-- taking off the shoes. But I got some house-flipflops at the PXMart that was only .5 miles away and they were cool with the flip flops.

- Lise (10/5): Amazing experience and stay in Hualien ! - Great experience and stay in Hualien thanks to Sleeping Boot Hostel. The place has everything, was comfortable and clean + the price offer was really good. The staff was really friendly and helpful, as I forgot something in the hostel and they arranged a shipment very quickly. Thanks a lot to them again for the help and for the stay ! 100% recommend !! Mattress a little thin but still had a good sleep :)

- Anita (10/5): My favourite hostel in Taiwan - I loved everything about this hostel. Literally no complaints. The dorms are so spacious, and you have a little shelf, hook with hangers, and curtains that give complete privacy in the bed. I also loved that there was a big window so you get lots of natural light. The women’s dorm also had a full length mirror and a balcony! The beds are a bit firm but I don’t mind that- just FYI. Bathrooms are extremely clean with great shower pressure. The common area and kitchen were excellent. Many places to lounge and the kitchen was well equipped. One of the staff- Sam was especially kind and helpful. He gave me many recommendations for restaurants in the area and was always happy to greet me. I rented a bicycle and was able to keep it inside at night which was good for my peace of mind. I will definitely come back here when I come back to Hualien. Everything was perfect.

- Jung (10/5): Comfortable place at a good price - Great value for money with good quality. The staff were very friendly and helpful, offering food recommendations. A large supermarket, late-night food options, and dinner spots are about a 10-minute walk away. We stayed in a twin room. For a room that offers private space, the soundproofing was not very good—we could hear people showering or louder movements on the same floor. However, considering the price, it was acceptable.

The dorm is spacious with lots of light, the upper bed makes a bit of noise if you move too much 😅 but wasn't really a problem for me :). And everything is so clean! The location is a bit away from the center and not many good options around but still easily 10min walkable
