Haben aber eine ganz lieb geschriebene Nachricht von der Gastgeberin erhalten, der Check-in war sehr simpel. Badezimmer schön groß. Ps: Wir hatten zuvor kein Interner und deswegen im Dunkeln nicht direkt zur Unterkunft gefunden und sind stattdessen beim Privathaus der Gastgeberin gelandet. Ihr Mann hat uns aber ganz herzlich empfangen und uns den richtigen Weg gezeigt. Auf hohem Niveau: das Licht blendet wenn man im Bett liegt und das blinken vom Feuermelder könnte man als störend empfinden.

Breakfast was o.k, the dining area and honesty bar area is fantastic, but the quality of food was only average for the price. We had the pizza and charcuterie board in the evening. The base was the pizza was bought in. In would have been nice to use a hand stretched dough base. The charcuterie board was really good, but expensive at £37 for 2 to share. Breakfast has really nice options. Nice outside space, and it is great for the dog - the bowls, mat and treats were a nice touch It's pricey for what you get.

• Joanna (8/5): Excellent host and staff, really lovely property, courtyard and grounds that were well maintained and designed. Thorough - Canaston Oaks was well set out and in lovely grounds, the buildings and surrounding areas were well maintained and thought through. Very dog friendly and good for early morning half an hour wander around the field and streams - our Labrador loved it. Breakfast was good with plenty of options to choose from. Host (Emma) provided pizza which was excellent and good value if you wanted to eat in. Our room was small but enough for two and a dog and had plenty of storage space. Honesty bar was available and prices were reasonable. Emma very accommodating and provided freezer space to keep our dogs food which was very helpful. Good outside area to sit during the day and evening when the weather was good but nothing available (other than your room) when raining which was a shame as it was nice to socialise with other guests. To go anywhere else you needed to travel by car, it was possible to walk (circa 300m) to Canaston woods along a very busy road but had to hold the dog close and walk on rough grass verges.

However I was at fault for not reporting this. My husband and I had gone away for a break and didn't have the energy to complain. Every other aspect of the stsy was brilliant and I'm confident had we complained the matter would of been sorted. Please see above.

• Michelle (9/5): A lovely break - Canaston Oaks is a lovely complex with individual apartments around a courtyard. A peaceful location, just what I needed. Having been unwell for the last 6 months and previously cancelling a short break in May, I was really pleased that I was able to go, and also very pleased to have chosen Canaston Oaks. There's lots of choice for breakfast, both hot and cold and the honesty bar was a great idea. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I would definitely return again in the future. The location was also great for Narberth, Tenby and the surrounding towns. Thanks very much, back to making my own breakfast tomorrow! ☺️ Michelle 16/07/25 As someone who hates spiders, it would be good to have a vacuum cleaner in the apartment just in case! I had to be brave! 😂

• Kevin Marshall (9/5): Would happily have stayed longer - I was staying in a comfort double room in the main building. On arrival, the grounds were well maintained and there was plenty of parking. On accessing the room i was more than happy with the facilities, which included a powerful shower and a little mini fridge (always a bonus!). The honesty bar downstairs was a nice idea, and the soft drinks were reasonably priced - i had a couple of cans set on the terrace whilst watching the sunset. The breakfast was really good - i had full english (ordered online the night before), but there were other lighter options. I travelled into Narberth for an evening meal and was quite taken with the food hall. It was all good.
