- Elizabeth (10/5): Most Beautiful Hotel - This is the most beautiful hotel we have visited. The decor, the comfort, the hospitality, the staff were all amazing. Every wall is hung with beautiful artwork, and Leah, the owner, has taken such care to make you feel so at home in your gorgeous and comfortable room. The bed was very comfortable, with good pillows, which is so important! The staff are all friendly and welcoming, serving delicious breakfasts and cocktails on the veranda that overlooks the sea. Thank you for such a wonderful stay! That we had to leave!

- Stavros (9/5): Beautiful Gem in Ermoupoli, Syros - We loved everything about this beautiful property. It’s a beautiful Neo Classical building which has been renovated to the highest standards. The location could not have been better, only 5 minutes walk from the centre of town, the suites very spacious and the bathrooms a decent size with separate walk-in shower and Apivita bathroom amenities. The wonderful art around the property is very well curated. The a la carte breakfast which was of excellent quality with fresh ingredients and a very good selection of items was enjoyed on the large terrace overlooking the blue Aegean Sea. If we were to return to Syros this would be our first choice because Lia, the owner who is an exceptional host together with her Team especially Anna, made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Would highly recommend! Thanks for a wonderful stay! Nothing

Many shops and restaurants nearby. Five-minute walk to ferry docks. Close to the Church of Agios Nikolaos (stunning!) - Gorgeous old restored mansion. Interesting architectural details. Eclectic collection-worthy furniture. Packed bookshelves. Art everywhere you look - Several places to hang out: the comfortable library, my balcony, the outdoor cafe, the platform on the sea - Friendly and helpful. The owners/managers know your name, offer complimentary glasses of liqueurs or sparkling wine, etc. Smiling staff; quick to assist - Decent WiFi. I had no trouble using it on my balcony, in the library, in the outdoor cafe - Excellent breakfast. Wide selection, and cooked to perfection. (I recommend the poached egg avocado toast). View of the water and houses while dining - My room had high (hand-painted) ceilings, and large windows that opened. Light and airy. Enjoyed the view of the palm trees and the chirping of the starlings. - George (10/5): Exceptional Stay at Hotel Ploes on Syros island - Our first time visiting the island of Syros, and I would highly recommend Hotel Ploes to friends and family. The location of this hotel is ideal, close by to all the restaurants, shops, town square, beach & more. The owner, her staff and service were exceptional. Included breakfast was incredible on the terrace/restaurant within the Hotel overlooking the sea. The room was very nice, clean and had everything we needed, including a mini fridge stocked up with water, wine, and juices. The bathroom in our room was immaculate, with a soaker tub that was divine. We had a sea-view room, but also a private balcony with VIEWS that are perfection. The hotel itself is stunning, has so much character with its vintage details that contain so much history. Really beautiful hotel, I will definitely be coming back here for a longer stay next time!

It’s absolutely stunning, the art details, the care the owners have taken in restoring it, it’s simple but elegant and almost like staying in a good friends home. Our bedroom was gorgeous, the amenities were just right, the access to swim is amazing and unlike anything I’ve experienced. The breakfast is the best I’ve had at a hotel! The staff are incredible and go above and beyond, there is nothing they won’t do to make your trip amazing.

- Badi (10/5): Ecclectic stay - First off this hotel is very eclectic and playful. It is located a short five minute drive from the coast and very central to many things. Constantine is the receptionist/concierge and he was definitely one of the best things about our stay. He had a very personable vibe, and was kind enough to give us top most room which has its own private terrace. Breakfast is included and you can order as much as you want off the menu and everything is delicious. Recommend a car so you can drive to all the historic sites. Nothing.

The palazzo is elegant, timeless and sophisticated and the service and staff are wonderfully friendly and world class. The view is absolute perfection and our room and private terrace were divine! Can not wait to return and stay at Hotel Ploes again.
- Tatiana (6/5): The hotel is beautiful. The manager Constantine needs training on how to treat clients. - The breakfast was great. Stefanos the waiter was wonderful and very accommodating. But the other staff had difficulty communicating in English. There is no coffee kettle or tea in the room. Constantine, apparently the manager, was a very rude person. It took us one hour to check in! Because he couldn't handle more than one task at a time and in a very slow and angry manner. He was the only person handling the check in. His attitude is very unpleasant and unprofessional. He also refused to give us late check out despite the fact that he was late to have us check in but gave it to other clients.

Breakfast overlooking the sea was amazing. The pontoon for swimming is awesome. Incredible place. It's a little bit pricey for Syros, but it is a very high quality hotel.

The location is perfect and the terrace and ability to swim from directly off the hotel is amazing! The breakfast is also fantastic and super generous! The air conditioning didn't work very well and wasn't fixed properly when we mentioned it. There was also quite a lot of noise outside on the Friday and Saturday nights.

The private beach was amazing and had it to ourselves the whole time. The art is so beautiful and the breakfast is delicious, with a outstanding view of the ocean! The restoration of the building and the room was tastefully done. The aircon was a little fiddly, but the staff were very obliging to help fix it. It didn’t matter as the windows provided a great room temperature. The shower pressure wasn’t great, in comparison to the rest of the hotel experience.

Staff is very welcoming and gave us great advice for best cocktail place on the island called “Theosis” and dinner reservations. Thank you. Perhaps, offer earlier breakfast time than 8am, which seems to be common throughout the islands. 7am would be great to have sufficient time to enjoy breakfast and allow flexibility and travel time for the fixed ferries timetable.

- Eric (1/5): Noisy bar terrace open till midnight - We had booked a suite with sea view and terrace for four nights. Unfortunately, we had to leave after the first night since the hotel operates right below the rooms a noisy bar open till midnight making it impossible to sleep even with closed windows. The hotel refused to refund the remaining nights on the ground that « we had to close the windows » which unfortunately was not an option as the air conditioning was not working properly. Fortunately, we could book at a short notice through Booking.com the three following nights in beautiful Athens King George Hotel which helped us forget the lack of ethics and client consideration of Ploes owner.

- Marina (10/5): - What a wonderful experience. Hotel Ploes is elegant, artfully decorated, beautiful, right on the water and center of town. Superb and attentive stufff. Very relaxing. Delicious meals on their veranda with sea views and breathes. One would not want to go anywhere else after staying here.

Beautiful rooms (7 total), elegant environment, perfect location close to everything, stunning view from common areas and memorable breakfast made fresh as ordered and available from 8AM to 5PM. Incredibly attentive staff taking care of all our needs from selection of beach, restaurant reservations and even concert tickets. We felt like guests and not clients.
