Very friendly and accommodating even for an unexpected extension of our stay. The staff from the hotel manager to the housekeepers were friendly, helpful, and polite. The breakfast bar could use a little more variety, particularly in the hot offerings. The food was always fine, but it got monotonous for us since we were there for a six night stay to visit family in the area.

• Jenna (2/5): Freezing cold water. No hot water to shower. - Kids liked the pool No hot water 75% of our stay. They told us there was nothing they could do cause it was just because too many people were trying to shower. This lasted all day and night the first day and most the day through the next. We had 2 adults and 3 kids who had to take very cold showers. We were told if we wanted warm water to wake up before everyone else... I got up at 6 just to shower because I would not normally and it was still freezing. Our beds both had huge dips in them. They were either broken or just really old, we didn't know why. You would roll into the dips in them. No one enjoyed breakfast either. Cereal was stale the kids said.
• Robert (9/5): Nice Hotel - Plenty of free parking. Our room was very quiet and comfortable. There was a good selection of hot food in the breakfast area. The coffee was fresh, hot, and strong. Very good. One of the elevators was out of order, so the other one was always crowded. Our in-room safe was locked shut and unusable. The front desk agreed to fix the problem, but never did.

The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hotel, and the blackout curtains helped with that as well. The breakfast had multiple options of both hot and cold items! The shower did not have a lot of pressure, in my opinion. I assume it is because it has the water-saver shower head, as many hotels do, but as one with long hair, it takes a lot longer to rinse out the shampoo and conditioner. Not a game-changer though!

• John (10/5): Comfortable and reasonable - Everything was up to snuff. The room was in good shape. Good breakfast in the morning. The indoor pool did not smell too strongly of chlorine or burn our eyes to swim in it, a good sign that the water was clean. We would stay again.

• Adam (10/5): - The hotel was amazing, the best item that stood out was the staff was incredible. Every one I ran into was professional, courteous. My kids only gripe was the sausage was juicy(first world problems eh?). They are also located in a good spot, we ate at a place called grinders. Local, close and the pizza was good as well. I've stayed at a few holiday inn expresses before and, without hyperbole, is the best of I've ever been too. The bed was very comfortable. We usually bring our own pillows because most of the time the pillows at hotels really suck. These were better than ours at home...and I hate to admit it, but I'm a pillow snob. My 9 year old doesn't do well in new beds, so he inevitably slept with the wife and I. We still had room. Book it baby! You won't regret it!

• Richard (10/5): Don’t pass this one up! - This was one of the best hotels we’ve stayed it. Extremely reasonably priced and far above expectations. Staff was friendly and helpful immediately upon arrival. The place was imaculate. The room was modern and very clean. The breakfast buffet was outstanding with 2-3 staff keeping the area spotless. Each cup of coffee is freshly ground and available 24/7 (decaf too.) This will be our new KC motel

• Foghorn8508 (8/5): Good Place to Stay - Convenient location right off the highway. Close to Oak Park Mall. Property was clean and employees are friendly. Typical IGH HIE breakfast, well stocked. Room was clean with only minimal mold in the caulk at the bottom of the shower stall. Property is used by traveling contractors during the week and sports teams on the weekends. Hotel enforces quiet time after 10PM. Did not use the pool or exercise room. Only complaints are that the TV would go out during heavy rains and only one elevator was operating during our stay. Would am am staying here again in the future.

• Jill (10/5): - This is a great location. Lots of food close by, a nice mall blocks away, and Sam's and Costco. It is very clean.The pool was a little cool, but not too cold. I like how they have full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and hand soap. I like that the bathroom plug in is a nightlight. There were sufficient plug ins. Also microwave, fridge, and keurig. Even though it is next to the highway and it was the 4th of July in KC it was quiet. Lots of choices at breakfast. A pancake machine, eggs and both turkey sausage and pork sausage. Biscuits with plenty of sausage in the gravy, oatmeal with stuff to put in it. Almond milk and white and chocolate milk, 3 kinds of yogurt, cereal, muffins, and Cinnabons. There were 2 coffee makers that ground the beans for each cup for regular, decaf and also hot water for tea or hot chocolate all day. There were also tables for hooking up electronics. There was a variety of seating options including a patio area. The staff quietly did an excellent job taking care of their responsibilities.

• Montgomery (3/5): For how much paid and they couldn’t even try to make to make some right of the first night Probably would never stay her - The property was okay. They were busy on the weekend so the guest staying there wasn’t respectful for the property so when my daughter and myself had to leave the hotel there was so much trash and beer cans left outside. But that’s not the staff it’s the guests The first night I had a migraine from the AC unit blowing an awful high pitch squeal and it was LOUD. I didn’t get comped and they were fully booked so they couldn’t move me rooms. So In sake for trying to sleep I had to cut the AC warmer so it didn’t kick on every 5 minutes. it was miserable and my daughter had a softball tournament and did not sleep the first night as well.

• Tony (6/5): - I did an early checkin because i had a surgical procedure that day and when i got into the room, the toilet woud not flush. I had to go to the lobby 3 times from the third floow while medicated. On the third trip and 3rd reminder to management, they apologized greatly and sent a maintenace person immediately to.fix the issue. I was happy.in the end but itntook a total of 3 gours to get it remedied and 2 reminders erverytime i had to go tonthe lobby tonuse the restroom.
• Khalid (3/5): Very Disappointing: Overall experience was very disappointing. - My recent stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Lenexa, Overland Park area, was disappointing. While the hotel has some positives, the negatives significantly impacted my overall experience. Positives: The hotel offers 24-hour access to Costa Coffee and decaf machines, which is convenient for coffee lovers. Drinking water stalls are readily available. The presence of ready-to-eat food, drink, and snack kiosks is a plus for quick bites. The hotel environment is generally quiet and calm. Negatives: No On-Site Restaurant: The absence of a restaurant within the hotel is a major drawback. Guests must leave the premises to find food, which is inconvenient, especially during inclement weather or late hours. Location: The hotel's location is somewhat distant from downtown and other happening areas. This makes it less appealing for travelers who want to be close to the city's main attractions and entertainment. In-Room Microwave Inconvenience: While a microwave is provided in the room, there are no utensils or microwave-safe dishes. This severely limits the usefulness of the microwave, as guests are unable to properly heat or prepare food. Lackluster Cleaning Staff: The cleaning staff was not attentive. This resulted in a less-than-ideal level of cleanliness in the room and potentially in common areas.
