• Nicola (10/5): A great start to our Namibia trip - We stayed at Olive Grove Guesthouse for 2 nights at the beginning of our 4-week Namibia trip, and it was the perfect place to ease into our travels. The staff were lovely and welcoming, the food was excellent, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. Although the pool area is small, it was ideal for relaxing in the afternoon sunshine after a day of travel. The secure off-street parking was also greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay here again if we return to windhoek

A anfitriã nos recebeu super bem, nosso quarto estava impecável, perfumado, os produtos de higiene eram muito cheirosos e de qualidade. Uma ducha quentinha e pressurizada, perfeita para viajantes que estavam há mais de 15 dias na estrada. A cama é super confortável, o quarto é aconchegante, charmoso, climatizado. Recebemos um mimo - um vinho do Porto e chocolates para relaxar antes de dormir. O fato de ter duas pias no quarto também é um plus! O estacionamento é bem prático, na entrada da pousada. A decoração é linda, você se sente em algum lugar da Turquia, Grécia... Não sei se é pelas oliveiras, luzes e jardim mágicos! Nós amamos demais! Queria ter tido tempo pra curtir a Olive Groove com calma. O atendimento foi perfeito. Como nosso check-out seria antes das 06:00 a.m. eles preparam um café da manhã para a viagem e ainda pegamos um cappuccino e um espresso fresquinhos antes da saída. A localização é maravilhosa, região segura e bonita, perto do Joes Beer House (que é imperdível)! Poderia ficar aqui por horas elogiando essa hospedagem. Um achado! Reserve sem dúvidas! Tudo perfeito!
• Alexandra Maria (8/5): Sehr schönes Location - Die Location ist sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Ausstattung sehr großzügig und besonders gut sortiert. Das Personal am Empfang und zum Dinner war besonderst zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Das Abendessen hat unsere Erwartungen nach den großartigen Bewertungen anderer Gäste nicht erfüllt. Das Frühstück samt Personal war tatsächlich nicht akzeptabel. Kritikpunkt war hier tatsächlich der Service: Erklärungen ohne genervt zu sein, sind erwartbare Basics für Servicepersonal. Vorher fragen ob der Gast einen Porridge mit Olivenöl (!) plus Sirup schon eingerührt möchte, hätte ich ebenfalls erwartet. War so ungenießbar. Bestellung eines Kaffees erforderte 3 Nachfragen. Um überhaupt weiteren Service zu erhalten, mussten wir aufstehen und sie suchen gehen, weil sie nich von selbst kam. Fand sie dann gelangweilt am Tresen stehend. Das geht für Service in der Gastronomie keinesfalls. Ist aber behebbar. 💪
• Iris (10/5): - During our trip through Namibia, we stayed at the Olive Grove Guesthouse right at the beginning and came back when we had to spontaneously return to the city earlier than planned due to illness. Our host, Elisabeth, took fantastic care of us. My husband was ill but it was his birthday, and she arranged for him to receive a surprise cake. The whole team does a superb job. The food is delicious, the rooms are comfortable and very clean. Definitely a very good recommendation for your travels. 👍🏼

• MLange (6/5): Die Beschreibung weckt andere Hoffnungen - Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück und Abendessen waren reichhaltig und sehr schmackhaft. Dafür war die Auswahl nicht sehr groß. Da viele Gäste nur eine Übernachtung dort verbringen, ist das sicher kein Problem. Das Abendessen ist extra zu bezahlen. Es gibt einen kleinen Pool und Touren können gebucht werden. Die Zimmerbeschreibung bei Booking.com stimmt leider nicht mit der Realität überein. Der beschriebene Marmorboden war nicht vorhanden, sondern war ein Betonboden. Das Bettgestell bestand ebenfalls aus Beton. Darin ist eine Holzplatte befestigt, auf der die Matratze liegt. Die Waschbecken sind ungewöhnlich hoch, (ca 1,30m), ebenfalls auf einem gemauerten Unterbau. Für Kinder schwer erreichbar. Wir hatten für 3 Nächte ein Zimmer von 45m² gebucht. Das Zimmer, welches wir bekommen haben, hatte allenfalls 25m². Steckdose gibt es nur an einer Seite vom Bett. Auf Nachfrage konnten wir am nächsten Tag in ein Zimmer von etwa 35m² umziehen.

Multiple staff had unsupervised access to the room and master keys, and the hotel showed poor security procedures and lack of accountability. Extremely concerning experience and unresolved theft case. Staff did not support resolving the issue and provided invalid email address that bounced when trying to get in touch with the owner.

• Nikol V (8/5): A Stylish and Peaceful Stay in Windhoek - Olive Grove Guesthouse is a charming and perfect place to stay in Windhoek. Although it is not located directly in the city center, the area is peaceful and quiet, which makes it even more relaxing. The rooms are stylish, clean, modern, and very well equipped. The breakfast menu was excellent, offering a great selection and a wonderful start to the day.
• Klaus (10/5): - Since 2024, this has been our second stay at the Olive Grove Guesthouse. The staff is very professional and genuinely friendly. Dinner is of high quality and freshly prepared in the open kitchen. If you're flying home from Windhoek on your departure day, you can leave your luggage and car on the premises and collect them before your flight home. Even showering and using the pool are possible after check-out. That's a fantastic service!

• Dagmar (10/5): - Wir wurden herzlichst empfangen und haben uns auf Anhieb sehr wohl und willkommen in diesem sehr schönen und privaten Guesthouse gefühlt. Das Zimmer war wunderschön eingerichtet und hatte wirklich alles, was man benötigt. Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut und von ordentlicher Qualität. Wir kamen direkt vom Flughafen und haben die Ruhe und den freundlichen Service genossen und herrlich geschlafen. Das Frühstück war außerordentlich gut und ist besonders hervorzuheben. Die Unterkunft bietet einen Shuttle in's Zentrum von Windhoek an, den wir gern, für kleines Geld, in Anspruch genommen haben. Parkplatz auf dem verschlossenen Gelände mit eigenem Toröffner. Vielen Dank für diesen entspannten und sehr schönen Aufenthalt.

• nw (1/5): a horrible , horrible place to sleep - the supper was excellent , but due to the terrible room the overall experience was terrible the room allocated to us was terrible , more like a old cellar with ZERO NATURAL light , and the back and bathroom windows looking onto a carport , so the window could not be opened because of noise and light the blinds on bathroom window are old and not working to the bottom of window, light pours in basically this room and the 2 adjoining ones are a converted cellar , with no cross ventilation , which would be illegal in most countries ! very claustrophobic old steel and glass doors that banged loudly everytime open or closed , very noisy especially since there were THREE such rooms , LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER with these dated 1970`s steel and small pane glass old noisy doors , bang ,bang ,bang , clunk clunk , bang ...etc THREE similar rooms right next to each other , so very noisy and no privacy ,impossible sleep quality THEN the restaurant is LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT to our room number 3 , WITH NO WALL SEPERATING THE RESTAURANT FROM THE ROOM wall , other than a piece of cloth hanging there , extremely noisy , and they served 5 people AFTER THE 9PM SUPPOSED restaurant closure for orders time , resulting in more noise to us in our `cellar` Then a bright chandelier of 3 bright bulbs shining directly onto the 3 cellar like rooms doors , and the curtains had NO block out on them , so terrible sleep quality wifi very poor in this room , `on and off` all the time booking .com quoted me R3000 for this underground hole , booked weeks in advance , and when I objected on seeing the room , the manager told me their standard fee is actually just R1600 and they charged me as such SOMEONE WAS TRYING TO RIP ME OFF ,WAS IT BOOKING .COM OR THE OWNER OF THIS PLACE ?? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- also a very cold lodge this , not much natural light or sun the owners have obviously crammed as many rooms as possible into a small area the parking was so cramped it took 10 or 12 turns to get in or out

Die Zimmerausstattung ist sehr geschmackvoll, die Badezimmer sind absolut der Hammer! Das Personal ist äusserst hilfsbereit, freundlich und immer verfügbar. Das hauseigene Restaurant bietet Frühstück, Lunch und Dinner an. Die Mahlzeiten sind sehr gut und zu empfehlen.

• Steffen (7/5): Kleines Hotel mit Außenbereich mitten in Windhuk. - Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut und man fühlt sich auch sicher, da Nachts auch jemand da ist. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit. Obwohl das Hotel nicht sehr groß ist, gibt es einige Plätze wo man sich entspannen kann. Die Zimmer sind sauber. Leider hatten wir Pech mit unserem Zimmer Nr. 7. Auf dem Dach befindet sich eine Anlage, die Nachts Warmwasser aufbereitet, diese Anlage ist im 15 Minutentakt angegangen und gleichzeitig hat eine Tür in unserem Zimmer dadurch geklappert. Das Ganze ging ein paar Stunden und hat uns die halbe Nacht wachgehalten.
