Michael (8/5): Very convenient to the nearby UPMC Hospitals; it was a relaxing place to stay. - The breakfast offerings and eating area were both above average. The suite room was spacious and quiet even though it was across the hall from the elevator. The check-in and parking process weren't well detailed when we made our reservation. We ended up in the hospital parking garage across the street before calling the front desk who helped us figure things out. Pull into the alley at the corner of the hotel to check in and then the parking garage was directly across the alley from the hotel. Very convenient parking once we understood where it was actually at.

Lucia (5/5): Quick - The room was located next to the elevator. We asked to move and the front desk person said all of the double bed rooms were next to the elevator. Room was not clean. You could see in the bathroom where it was swept and left in a corner.

They never told me anything about an extra 30 dollars taken out on top of the 22 parking garage fee which I was told and paid on the spot then I check out the next day at 4:41am I had it pop on my phone that $30 had come out of my account I call and told them what going on and it was to be back in my account that has been 5 days so far and still shows pending not refunded

It did not really explain in detail about parking and only had so many spots - had to walk to another parking garage and pay for parking and walk back ! Unloading and loading vehicle bc of this reason was not great either!
Amy (8/5): Overall our stay was nice and I would recommend this hotel. - The room was great! Nice size. Bathroom was clean. The bed was fine, fairly comfortable. Although we didn’t use it, the kitchenette was really nice and had a large fridge. Despite small annoyances we had a very nice stay. Oh, the breakfast was also good. Good choices. I didn’t like that we had to pay for parking. And it was a bit difficult maneuvering in and out of the garage when someone else was parked in the ally. No where convenient to park your car while you check in. The space where the breakfast bar was could have been bigger. It got very crowded and felt like we were in each other’s way. The soap supplied in the bathroom was horrible.

Dave (5/5): Recommended due to Convenient Location, with Certain Caveats. - Location, food, amenities. The food was exceptional. In fact, it was gourmet quality. Woman who was at the front check-in "desk" was terse, rude, impolite, and unprofessional and should not be interfacing with the public. She was like this two days in a row, indicating this was not simply a bad day or one-off in behavior. The cloth furniture in the room was stained and dirty looking. This applies to the chair as well as the sofa There was mold in portions surrounding the tub caulking.

dfbf (8/5): Good choice if UPMC or UP is your destination. - This is an excellent choice if you need to stay near UP. Everything in the hospital and university is a short walk down the street along with many college-type places to eat. The area is busy at all hours of the day and generally feels safe in lighted areas. The hotel is quiet, and the rooms are large, comfortable, and consistent with the brand. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful from the time I checked in until I left. If I have to nitpick, the TV location relative to the bed wasn't optimal. I would stay here again.

Stephen (1/5): A wonderfully convenient hotel has turned into a place not worth the money or a future thought - Good location When we were about to go to bed, my fiancee pulled the covers down and discovered that they were wet. A quick check determined that all the covers from top down to the mattress were wet, as if someone had poured a bottle of water on the bed. We stripped the bed and tried to put on the extra set from the closet. These didn’t fit, as the night clerk suggested they were for the fold-out bed, but to be honest, the fitted sheet that had already been on the bed didn’t fit either and was already about to come off at the top. My fiancee put down a towel and an additional layer of bedclothes to keep from sleeping on a giant wet spot. We didn’t want to move rooms because we had already unpacked, and had an early departure for a surgical appointment the next day. And it was late so we didn’t expect anyone else to come by to change the sheets—especially since the mattress was already wet. Sadly, this is the kind of thing I have come to expect from this hotel. Our first stay was great—the perfect location for a surgery at Presbyterian Hospital. But each subsequent stay has been marred by one problem or another; the last room had a urine smell in the bathroom, and the rooms never seem to be adequately cleaned. My email to the assistant general manager got the response: “I sincerely apologize for the experience you had with us” and “we appreciate you bringing the matter to our attention and we will keep an eye on the room.” Don’t want my future business? Guess not! A wonderfully convenient hotel has turned into a place not worth the money or a future thought.

Had the hotel staff clean floor, but as soon as you got out of the shower and looked at your feet you could see the dirt coming off the floor. Wifes pillow had a stain on it. This hotel is not worth the money.

A staff member named William who claimed to be the manager was extremely rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful to an extent that was surprising for someone who has chosen to work in the hotel industry. Responded with a terse “no” without explanation or apology for basic, simple requests that are routinely granted at other properties. Even if these were not possible, this level of unprofessionalism was uncalled for and off-putting. In addition, room was not very clean - sticky residue was visible on the nightstand. No lotion in the room. Furniture chipped and beginning to appear dated. Few healthy options at breakfast. Overall, a not-so-pleasant stay. The price was quite similar to that of the Oaklander where several friends stayed - substantially nicer with much better customer service. Will not be staying at this property again.

Louise (8/5): Nice walk to Pitt! - Spacious rooms, comfortable bed and blackout curtains! Nice walking distance to the Iniversity of Pittsburg! The caulking in the walk in shower needs to be redone…it was moldy looking.

Iryna (10/5): Great stay - Loved everything about our stay. Breakfast could be better-once something was gone (bananas, quiche, etc) it was not replaced even though there were still 2 hrs of breakfast time left. Other than that, it was awesome!

Sheila (9/5): Overall good experience - Room was comfortable and clean. Nice little kitchen area as well as sitting area. Very quiet too I wish there was some mouthwash and the shower head was not great. Also tub was somewhat slippery.
Lenora (8/5): - The room was great with the kitchen area. Breakfast was great! Room was spacious. Our first night there was no room in the parking garage so we had to park in the hospital lot across the street, however parking there was slightly cheaper than at the hotel.
