Приветливо встретил, помог занести вещи, всё показал, угостил местными вкусняшками с фермерской ярмарки, с удовольствием общались. Везде чисто. Очень уютно и с любовью обставленный дом, с уважением к его истории. Прекрасное постельное бельё, подушки и одеяло. Остались самые благоприятные впечатления от хостела и от Синтры. Не совсем удобно добираться до центра и достопримечательностей, которые разбросаны на значительном расстоянии, так как автобусы ходят не часто, хотя автобусная остановка находится близко к хостелу, и в целом транспортная проблема к проживанию не имеет отношения.

• Gagandeep (9/5): Would highly recommend, with some caveats. - Loved the room!! It was tranquil and brought me peace. Loved the kitchenette and dining area as well. It was a challenge to get to from the train station for me, also steep stairs to carry luggage to and from. The host helped me up the stairs, thank goodness. It had a faint smell of smoke. Also feather bedding.

• Ūbaitė (10/5): Exceptional and very comfortable! 10 points! - We stayed at Jorge’s hostel for a week and later extended for two more nights. The room was very clean, calm and bed were exceptionally comfortable to sleep. The house itself is very charming with cute living room and kitchen. Despite everything, the most wonderful was the host himself. During the stay we became good friends and felt very privileged to listen Jorge stories about history of Sintra, Portugal and other countries. He is a very kind and intelligent person. We could not imagine a better stay in Sintra. Definitely recommend and will be back again when we get the chance. Thank you very much! Best wishes :)

• Guest (10/5): Exceeded expectations, cosy, homely, welcoming - Felt like a cosy safe abode, slept better than I had in days, owner was INCREDIBLY friendly and welcoming. Shared toilet was exceptionally clean, the room was wonderfully decorated, excellent wifi. Reminded me of my childhood book angelina the ballerina; actually almost magical. Plus, there are numerous awesome food spots nearby! This hostel honestly deserves more than 1 star, it exceeded expectations incredibly. Recommend this to anyone. NA
• Emanuel (10/5): Excellent place for one night stand in Sintra. - The hostel is very cozy and warm, with unique atmosphere. The pictures available here do not give the uniqueness of the place. Beds in the room was very comfortable and large. Both room and bathroom were very clean. The owner was very friendly and helpful, when we were trying to get the parking place nearby the hostel, he even moved his own car to get us parked next to the entry.

• Greenberg (10/5): - Sintra Small Hostel has a very warm and cozy feel. The rooms are a nice size and very clean. Plenty of towels provided. Coffee and tea are available to make at any time in the kitchen, and George provides biscuits/cookies too. He let me use the washing machine and hang my clothes to dry too. The location of the hotel is nice too because it’s not in the center of town, so it’s nice and quiet. It’s about a 25 minute walk to the city center, but only a two minute walk to a few restaurants and coffee spots.

• Rosensaft Noam (8/5): Atypique proche Sintra - Accueil chaleureux de Jorge, très sympathique et donne de bons conseils pour les restaurants,le lieu atypique à l'ancienne vous fait replonger dans une époque oublié. La proximité avec les lieux touristiques des châteaux de Sintra. La disposition du lit double il devrait le tourner pour que l'on puisse sortir des deux côtés.l Manque la climatisation ou un ventilateur car il faisait chaud sous les toits.

Los baños son compartidos pero limpios. Fui con mis 3 hijos y muy bien. Jorge, el anfitrión fue encantador y muy amable. Quizás si tienes un bebé, para acceder al lugar es complicado por las escaleras empinadas.

• katty (9/5): Een warme plek met een ziel - Een heel apart adresje, we kwamen er na een bezoek aan het nabijgelegen paleis van Pena, de sfeer sloot perfect aan, een beetje sprookjesachtig, een beetje terug in de tijd. Een heel gezellig oud huis, een kamer zoals waar we vroeger bij oma logeerden, even warm en verwelkomend. Goede bedden, goede kussens, sfeervolle verlichting. Er zijn 2 gedeelde badkamers, proper, en shampoo, douchegel is gratis te gebruiken. Er is een gezellige zitruimte, en een keukentje met een grote koelkast. Parkeren kan gratis op het nabijgelegen plein (op 3 min stappen), je kan er ook eten. De gastheer is al even gezellig als zijn huis, heel beminnelijk en behulpzaam. Hij weet veel te vertellen over de geschiedenis van de streek. De locatie tenslotte is geweldig, het paleis van Pena ligt op ongeveer 20 min stappen door het bos, dus geen last van de legendarische files! Er was geen airco op de kamer, maar zelfs in hartje zomer, met overal in de regio meer dan 30 graden, blijkt dit gebied meestal veel koeler. Wij hebben in elk geval geen airco gemist.

• Gabriela (10/5): Very cosy, confy and authentic! Jorge is the coolest! - Jorge is an amazing host! The rooms are very much clean and cosy, especially the beds - so confy that made it hard for us to wake up. The place keep it very portuguese and authentic, nothing pasteurized. I loved it. No major or medium accidents. Although the bathrooms are shared, they are super clean. But as you cannot always control some of the guests, it would be helpful to have something like a cleaning spray for guests using after someone less caring.

La cama solo tenia la sabana de colchón, la otra no y me pareció poco higiénico taparse con el cobertor. No estaba limpio en la cocina utensilios, paño cocina, mantel en general se veía desaseo. La ducha del primer piso mala y otros artefactos también. Caro para las condiciones existentes.

Tiene zonas comunes como un Office donde poder hacerte el desayuno y las comidas. En ese espacio también hay libros, juegos de mesa... La limpieza muy buena No tiene baño privado en la habitación. Es baño compartido para todos los de la casa.

At the day we checked out, later on that day, We were stuck in the city with no place to stay after we booked only for 1 night and the day after was already fully booked. He invited us to stay at the living room and made sure we are fine and sattled with another place to stay. An amazing person, kind and caring. We wont forget him for that.❤️

• Isabel Wiest (7/5): - La habitación cuádruple, excelente, muy cómodo y agradable. Y el anfitrión, muy amable. La zona muy bonita, con una plaza y restaurantes La entrada y escalera primera de la casa es bastante antigua.
• Mario (9/5): - Bon c’est pas fabuleux comme le commentaire booking le dit mais pour résumer tres bon accueil de Jorge, qui parle français. La chambre et la salle de bain commune très propre. L’hostel ce trouve dans une petite rue, compliqué pour ce garé. Par très grave car il y a une petite place à environ 50m avec parking gratuit, restaurant et petit café pour prendre le petit déjeuner. Le coin est très calme. Une fois sur place Jorge saura vous orientez pour accéder au site touristique. Nous étions 5 à voyager la chambre un peu petite pour nous mais suffisant pour juste y dormir.
• CALISE (4/5): Necesario ponerlo más habitable para dormir y menos museo de antiguedades, mejorar hospitalidad. - Está En Sintra no muy lejos de los palacios aunque requiere coger transporte para subir si no quieres caminar 1 o 2 km para llegar. El lugar es como dormir en una casa con 4 habitaciones, cocina, salon y te sintes en una casa familiar de hace años con muchos elementos de madera oscura y cocina tradicional de hace años. Yo adoro las antiguedades pero con los servicios de hoy en día necesarios, no son incompatibles. Si vas desde alli en coche particular preparate para coger un atasco tremendo para llegar y no tener casi donde aparcar, recomendable coger transporte publico para ir desde alli a palacios. Nos dan una habitación con 2 armarios con platos y demás elementos de decoración como un salón y sin papelera ni armarios extra ni apenas sitio donde colocar las cosas porque está lleno de decoraciones antiguas la mesa que hay con polillas. No hay ascensor. Voy al baño y veo que el baño compartido de nuestra planta pone que no funciona en un cartel, no me puedo duchar al no tener más información y al día siguiente me dice el dueño que hay uno en la planta superior, un solo baño para todo el alojamiento operativo en la planta superior y el señor le extraña que yo le pregunte por un baño, que como va estar sin baño un hostal pero... lo normal seria avisar que el baño está en otro piso previamente o en un cartel y aun me protesta porque tuvo que venir corriendo por yo preguntar si hay ducha por mensaje. Yo no me senti confortable, se escuchaba absolutamente todo de una habitación para la otra y la cocina y demás servicios yo no los usé pero de una decoración como sacado de los años 50 y poco servicial. Por el precio que nos cobraron 76€ es demasiado caro para lo que ofrece, si solo buscas tener una cama bien pero yo no me sentí comoda. Puede tener cosas antiguas que me encantan pero que no quiten de sentirte comodo y no en un lugar oscuro, sin luz, sin espacio donde tener tus cosas. Solo pagamos por una cama al final. Una pena que un alojamiento asi ensombrezca un lugar tan precioso y especial como Sintra.
• Laura (3/5): Huge patches of mold on the wall in the bedroom. - When we walked in, the house smelled very musty and there was a huge patch of mold on the wall in the bedroom. We tried to air out the room by opening the tiny skylight (the only window in the room) but it didnt help. I started having severe asthma attacks so we had to vacate the room and book a stay for the night in another hotel. Even though we did not spend the night, and had to leave due to the mold, the owner was very argumentative and refused to give us even a partial refund. I dont see how the ratings for this place are so high. We've stayed in a lot of hostils and this is by far the worst one (and ironically, the most expensive one, too!!)

• Outi (10/5): Lovely stay in a quiet neighborhood in Sintra - We loved the atmosphere in the place and in its area. Everything was nearby and we had a magical stay, the room was perfect for us and very clean. The host is also so amazingly friendly!!!

• THIBAULT (9/5): - C'est une petite maison. Tout est partagé (toilettes, salle de bain, cuisine) Endroit atypique, tout est chiné. Rien n'est identique, ni parfait. C'est très simple mais on peut se faire à manger, il y a un canapé... Possibilité de se garer dans la rue gratuitement. On est situé à 15 mns en bus de la gare de Sintra. Le bus est à 3mns à pied. Ensuite il faut se rendre sur les sites à visiter. La salle de bain du 1er était hors service, donc il fallait utiliser celle du 2ème étage donc un peu d'attente. Il faisait chaud, un ventilateur aurait été utile dans la chambre.

La casa parece un pequeño museo, hay mucho conocimiento ahi dentro. Las habitaciones son hermosas decoradas con articulos vintage. No esta en el centro de Sintra, pero es el mejor Hostel del pueblo. Hay cafeterias y restaurantes cerca, paradas de buses y todo. Nada que decir aqui
