- Duncan (10/5): - It’s an old motel, which means that the floor in the bathroom had some hills and valleys, and the walls were thin enough to hear conversations in the adjacent room. It also means that everything has been worked out, and works well. Places to hang things, good coffee, comfortable bed. And because the motel caters to the fishing crowd, it quieted down by 9 pm. The internet connection worked fine for us. The owners were personable, pleasant, and interesting. We would certainly stay again.

We were offered to cancel our reservation with no refund. Despite the clearly broken objects and bugs. The smell was atrocious in the rooms, especially the smaller one. Cobwebs everywhere. If you are looking for below bare to keep the wet off it’s an ok place.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible. - The office mixed up our reservation. Even though I called to confirm that day we would be arriving late. They wound up double booking our room. We had reserved a 3 bedroom cabin with full kithen. The other guest had booked a queen and twin bedroom. Since the other guest was already settled in the cabin, we had to switch reservations with them. We had a party of 4 adults that could barely fit in that room. With the roll away bed it was a fire hazard. Not only did The owner Royce, Not apologize. She tried to blame us for arriving late. She then yelled at us for trying to move the car to be less in the way. And continued to grouse at us about arriving late and waking her up and that she had to do another job in an hour. This is a woman who should not be in the service industry. The room was not very clean and truly was tiny. The place was quite run down and not well kept. Never have had an owner be downright B#@!% at me for daring to be a customer. I should have known better from the curt phone etiquette when I made the reservation.

- Holly (6/5): Very comfy beds - We enjoyed our stay here because the beds were super comfortable. However, the door to the bathroom wouldn't stay shut. On the first day it would pop open whenever someone opened the front door and then by the second day it wouldn't stay shut at all. It made for some awkward moments with the family. We had to put a towel behind it to prop it shut. The floor was dirty and when I looked under the bed it was super dirty. A few things for them to work on but overall we enjoyed our stay.

Cobwebs everywhere, unkept property, dead and living insects, not to mention staff was very rude! We didn’t even finish our stay it was so bad. We left that same night and drove the 4.5 hrs home. We asked for a refund and of course staff was belligerent about it! Not paying almost $200 for a ****hole! Would have rather slept in my car!!!

The mini fridge actually had so much ice build up I had to scrape it out with a spoon to be able to get the door closed. The shower curtain had mold too. It was a rough stay but there was absolutely no other option.

- Caitlin (4/5): - Our cabin smelled awful, blinds were all broken so anyone could look in, there was a blood spot on the blanket when we arrived, broken floorboards, dumpster outside overflowing and smelly, garbage and dog poop around the property, and tons of dead bugs in windowsills. Would not recommend. I will say staff was nice but it was pretty gross and we couldn’t wait to get out of there.

There was a real coffee maker in the room, not one of those fake atrocities, and the bedding was more comfortable than mine at home. My only criticism was that the shower was not truly hot.

- John (2/5): Disgusting - The linens were clean!! Nothing else was. Filthy, old and overall disgusting. They should pay you to stay there!! We locked the door when we went to dinner and spent about 5 minutes trying to get it opened upon our return. Door knob was falling apart.

I went to sleep with an ocean breeze and woke up early enough to see the fishing boats go out. There may be fancier hotels, but if you're coming for the experience and authenticity, this is definitely the place to stay.

- Beau (4/5): - Booked a five day salmon fishing trip in March to stay a Curlys. I have stayed there a couple times before new ownership and never had an issue. The new owners do not answer the phone, give lousy directions for dropping the boat trailer after going in the office personnally, twice. They have an entire lazy family lingering around and in the office, yet can't answer the phone. They0 lease a dock which has no water for fish cleaning the entire stay. The kids at the desk kept blaming PUD, I think they don't pay their bills. It looked like it had been shut off for a while. The only way you can get anything, like TP, is to go into the office. The room comes with half a roll, no extra, no housekeeping checking anything. Room came with a dirty wash cloth in the shower to start with, with dry TP on the mirror. I will never stay there again, avoid if you can.

I love the location and the closeness to the water and it's very spacious now keep in mind that it is a fisherman's village so you're not going to be at some Taj mahal but it is very nice I got through in the head a full bed and two twins perfect for four people. It was very quiet lots of equals outside great time I would definitely stay there again. Now with only one complaint and it really wasn't even in a complaint but one of the kitchen chairs was a little wobbly it just needed tightened up and one of the burners on the stove looked like somebody had melted something maybe oil I don't know something was on one of the burners so we only had three burners but it was a great stay definitely would do it again I was in room 15 great job to curley's great job
- Jonathan (2/5): - Terrible Stay – Unclean and Unsafe Conditions We booked two nights at Curley’s Resort and Dive Shop in Sekiu, WA (July 5–7, 2025) but left after one night due to serious health and safety concerns. The unit was filthy—smelled like syrup, full of dust, cobwebs, insects, and a broken, stained sofa bed with no sheets. My girlfriend and children’s asthma flared up immediately. I politely asked for a different room but was told none were available. When I requested a refund for the second night, I was met with hostility and falsely accused of breaking the sofa, which was already broken on arrival. The manager dismissed our concerns, saying I “chose to come to a rural area,” as if that justified unsanitary conditions. I’m in the military and have stayed in many rural places—none this poorly maintained. Avoid this place if you care about your health, comfort, or being treated with respect.

- Terralyn (4/5): Not the cleanest - The room was dirty, cobwebs in every corner, dust, wet used washcloth left lying on the shower floor, so the shower was obviously not cleaned…. The floor was sinking in the bathroom…. I was nervous about sleeping in the covers due to the rest of the condition of the room so I slept on top of everything. Plus there was a nicer cleaner cheaper hotel across the street. Next time I will go there.

- JAMES (2/5): - The owner was absolutely the rudest person I have ever encountered at a hotel reception desk. She canceled my stay when I was trying to check-in. She treated me like I was stupid and I responded accordingly. She and her son threw me off the property and said they were going to call expedia. Most certainly hope she didn't charge my bank cards. If so, I will deal with that later. Wouldn't recommend that place to my worst enemy.

- Dierdre (4/5): - The view from outside the motel is beautiful. This is probably a good place for fisherman, but resort it is not. The TV didn't work, the locks were questionable and There is really not much in the area. Forks had much more to offer for the price.

- james (4/5): Sad stay - This place was so dirty. Cob webs all over and mold dead flies in the window seal. Bed was dirty too. We paid as lot of money for this stay too be like that. We was on our way home and they called and said we took the coffee pot there wasn't one there in the room when I got there. We told her if the room was cleaned before we got there she would e know there wasn't one there. We would never stay there again.

- Amanda (6/5): - We arrived later than expected. They organized a seamless check in for late arrival. My only complaint about Curleys is I got a hook lodged into my foot. My husband were only there 7 hours and the one time I used the restroom in the middle of the night a small barbed hood was stuck in my foot. Please vacuum your rooms. My mistake for not wearing shoes but it was super painful and unexpected.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Dirty sheets - Had to ask for clean sheets. It was obvious from the large amount of body hair and debris including a toe nail between the sheets that they had not been changed.

- Sophie (10/5): - Super easy, close to where I needed to go, nice owners. I had an anxiety attack because I locked myself out of the room but the owner reassured me, was super nice and unlocked it for me.

- Catherine (8/5): - Cute little town, being off season we were the only guests. Owner was great, pointed us to the restaurant and handed over the key. That said, the property is OLD, and some things needed work. The shower didnt drain. The tv did not work. It was cold, and there is one small wall heater. On the plus side. The towels snd sheets were snow white and soft. There was a kitchenette with about everything you might need. Nice toiletries, very very clean in general. The bed was really comfy, just the right amount of softness. And the pillows were clean and soft. In general, i would definetly stay again. BTW, the diner was great, and the locals very freindly.

The room itself was not cleaned well it had dead bugs under the fridge and the fridge itself was not clean either the baseboards and windows had so much dirt on them was not worth the 241.00 I got charged cob webs when we walked through the door the blinds didn't go down all the way and half were broken. The best part of our stay was not the room we had but the restaurant close by. Overall rating was a one star.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The view was wonderful from room 22. The bathroom was very dirty and there was no hand soap. The shampoo and body wash dispensers were empty. When I asked if they could be refilled, the guy at the desk said he didn't have the key to get supplies. He was able to give me TP and paper towels, which was good. The carpet was gross. I had to keep my shoes on at all times.
- Jeremy (2/5): - This place was too rustic for my taste. Sekiu is an end-of-the road place, like Haines, Alaska, where fishing is everything. We weren’t there for fishing. To be fair, it doesn’t look like there would be any better places to stay in Sekiu or Callum besides Curley’s because everything is small and old. Bathroom was tiny and the floor sagged when you walked on it. It had a kitchenette, but it was also the only place to put anything you brought with you. You’d be better to drive 53 miles to Port Angeles.
- Isaac (10/5): - It's an old hotel. Don't expect state of the art or modern appliances and you'll be pleasantly surprised at the cozy rooms, quiet area, beautiful views and neighborly staff.

- Hongfei (4/5): - WiFi in my room is not working. Room has very limited furniture. Shampoo and shower gel ran out and nothing came out. The toilet is constantly leaking water( quite loud sound). Room has poor sound isolation, I can hear neighbour breath sound during their sleep.
