• Gretel (10/5): - Loved our stay at the Bentley Inn. Our room was clean, spacious, quiet, and walking distance to all the great dining, sights, and theatre. It will be my go to spot whenever I visit Stratford. Highly recommend.

• Paola (2/5): - This property is above a bar that closes at 2am. It was SO LOUD until 3:30am on a Friday night (even with ear plugs) that we were unable to sleep. We ended up leaving a day early because to enjoy theater, being rested really helps. Also, the bathroom, while in the same room, is up a steep flight of stairs from where the bed was located. If you need to get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom, this is a hazard for anyone who is not quite agile. The room was clean, but the noise was a real deal breaker.

The bed linens were only changed once & only after we requested it. Coffee cups were not usually washed, just put in the sink. Perhaps housekeeping staff are inexperienced but better training would elevate that.

On the plus side, the room was interesting, large, well furnished and comfortable. Hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful

• Robin (8/5): - The staff were helpful and friendly. A buzzy place due to it’s bar/restaurant and central location. Not a lot of cleaning of my room went on during my five day stay. Well equipped room though.
• Bette (6/5): - There were several positive things about this hotel room (103): the location is great, right in the heart of downtown and convenient to everything. Despite the central location, the room was quiet, the bed comfortable and the room commodious. The kitchenette (fridge and microwave) was a nice touch. We knew the room would be upstairs from the bar/restaurant but the stairs are quite a steep hike; definitely not for anyone with mobility problems. Staff very graciously carried our bags upstairs. The two deal-breakers however, which would stop us from staying here again, were the location of the bathroom in the upstairs loft-very inconvenient in the middle of the night-and the skylight (no windows!) above the bed. It started getting light around 5 am and we had no choice but to wake up!
• Judy (8/5): - The stay was excellent except for the loud A/C. There should be directions in the room for how to turn it off for the night. The rooms are absolutely lovely!
• Ali (8/5): - Great location and friendly staff. Our room was nice and clean, unfortunately it was very noisy. The AC in the room was very effective but loud. When we turned it off we could hear all movements around us. People going up and down the stairs, doors opening and closing, toilets flushing. The walls are very thin.

• Alex (8/5): Staff great, room forgettable - Room was cold, it was a very large room approx. 28x24 with a loft with 2 single beds and the toilet/shower, trouble is to access the toilet at night you had to climb 13 steps, room also noisy, road traffic, airplanes taking off from a local airfield and even a flock of geese could be heard clearly, we had neighbours and you could hear the “snick” of the door lock, couldn’t hear the lively bar under the room though! Parking across the road, works but a bit inconvenient because of the very busy street outside

• Anne (4/5): - Our stay at Bentley's was made terrible by the noise created by a neighbouring room late into the night (3:00 am when someone finally yelled to shut them up). There was no one on the front desk to complain to so the noise continued unabated all night. Unacceptable. The bedding is awful. The bottom sheets aren't fitted (weird in itself) and too short. That results in scrunched up, uncomfortable sheets that come untucked if they're even tucked in in the first place.The duvet is far too warm for the season with no lightweight blanket to replace it. We had to request more milk from front desk as there was only one available in the fridge when we arrived. I will think twice about staying here again or recommending it to friends. I visit Stratford annually.

• Patty (10/5): - This place is a find! The suites are brand new and so comfortable, well appointed and complete with all bathroom and kitchenette conveniences. Bentleys bar and restaurant is right below, and you'd never know-- so airy and quiet. Walkable everywhere in Stratford, and safe indoor parking right across the street. We're coming back here--our new favorite place to stay!!
• VALERIE (8/5): - Acceptable clean accommodations. Long stairs up to room and stairs up to bedroom and bathroom. Had microwave, refrigerator and dishes. If you are prepared to go with the flow, this could work for you.
• Olga (10/5): A fantastic stay - An amazing bi-loft, clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. It’s conveniently located in the downtown area. You can walk anywhere. If you come by car, there is underground parking provided by the hotel. Comfortable beds and a lot of room. The layout of the loft is unique and there is everything you need. Having a restaurant and a bar downstairs is a huge bonus. The food is delicious and prices are excellent and much more affordable than in some other restaurants. Will definitely stay again.

• Kathryn (8/5): - This property has been beautifully renovated. The only thing lacking was a place to hang up clothes (perhaps a wall-mounted rack with a few hangers would suffice). Our room backed on to the parking lot and was extremely noisy at night once the bar downstairs closed. Many people stood around smoking and talking very loudly both nights we were there.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Good location; no relief from sunrise at 5 AM - Brentley's is in a great location. Biggest problem: Our room was one of 5 that have a skylight instead of a window. There is no shade for the skylight. So in mid-June, the bright sun streaming in at 5:00 AM made it impossible to sleep. When I asked staff about that, they said they considered putting in a retractable shade, but decided not to because "kids might throw things on top of it." If you stay at Bentley's in the summer, be prepared to wake up VERY early!

• Kathryn (10/5): Great place! (As long as you're OK with stairs) - A great location in the heart of the city, walkable to theaters and shops. Modern room decor, nice quality furnishings and friendly staff. One big caveat: If you have difficulty with stairs, this is unfortunately not the place for you, because you need to use stairs to get to any room from the front or back doors of the building, AND you need to climb stairs to reach the bathroom inside your loft suite, even if you're sleeping in the downstairs bed. (At least that was the case for our room.) The public parking lot at the back of the building has several Chargepoint electric vehicle charging spots, though you need to pay for parking to use them (except on Sunday). The parking that's included with the room is across Ontario St. underground, and you are given a garage door clicker to get in and out (bring your room key to get into the pedestrian door from the street). If you are prone to "waking up with the sun", be aware that there are no room-darkening blinds to close on the large translucent window panels.
• Elizabeth (10/5): Kudos guys! - Far exceeded expectations! Busy, efficient staff managed to take time for kindness, chat whilst meeting needs of record crowd residents + pub. Best hospitality in my world, ever.
• Filomena (6/5): - We stayed in room #104. King bed on main floor comfortable but if sleeping in king bed you must go up a flight of stairs to use the bathroom. Bathroom cleanliness needs to be improved. Base of toilet very dirty and the shower had mouldy dirty caulking. Hair dryer did not work and this room has no windows.

• Robert (10/5): - An excellent location in downtown Stratford. The Avon Theatre is a 3 min. walk and the Festival Theatre is about a 20 min. walk or 5 min. drive. The room was in excellent condition. Very clean and the bed was oh so comfortable. Would have taken it home had it fit in our SUV! The room is on two floors with the bathroom on the upper floor. If you don't mind climbing stairs, then I highly recommend this inn. We ate dinner here too. The service was awesome, the food was delicious. We will definitely stay here again.
• Netanis (10/5): - A nicely done, good sized loft room with a king size double downstairs and two singles in the upper left room reached by stairs. Bathroom is upstairs. Downstairs has an electric fireplace, a table and kitchenette with microwave (but no stovetop) fridge sink coffee maker. Natural light provided by a skylight (no windows). Clean, quiet, terrific central location. Could use a clothes rod.

• Carolyn (10/5): - The room was fantastic. The location great. Wonderful to have underground parking. A little tedious going up and down stairs but we knew this before we came and it was worth the effort.
• Jorge (6/5): - My wife and I first stayed at Bentley's Inn eleven years ago. At the time it seemed newly refurbished and was clean, modern and reasonably equipped. When we decided to return to Stratford this summer I found Bentley's on Orbitz and saw that it still had a high review score. We booked and looked forward to our stay. The reality was very disappointing. It appeared that the room had not been upgraded in the intervening eleven years. The carpets were stained throughout. The bathroom shower was caked with soap scum. Not only that, but the room was only superficially clean. The linens were of very poor quality. It was a very disappointing experience. If we had paid half the price we might have gotten our money's worth. As it was we felt ripped off. To be fair, the room is spacious, with two levels and sleeping accommodations for four. It is also quiet and in a very central location in Stratford. However, if we do return to Stratford we will look for alternate accomodations.
• John W (8/5): - We were in 101. It might help if the staff turns/flips the bed because there's a hollow on the right side. Otherwise bed is firm. Check out lady was friendly; check in guy was brusque and abrupt, likely, because the front desk isn't his natural spot (more like the kitchen, based on his outfit). Been going to Bentleys for last 3 years when we're in Stratford, and generally satisfied.

• Brenda (10/5): - Love Bentleys, always stay here when we go to Stratford. Perfect location. Can walk to the shops, restaurants, the river, and all the theatres. Free parking. The restaurant has good food at reasonable prices. Rooms are large and comfortable with nice amenities. Only downfall is it can be a bit noisy.
