- de Sa (10/5): -
- Sharon (10/5): - The couple that run the guest house are very friendly and lovely. The room had lots of exta touches ie coffee/tea making facilites , wine glasses , tissues , cotton buds, extra pillows . There was also lots if information about where to eat locally cafes and resturants and also if you are a walker lots of walks list. The bed was comfy all in all a great 2 nights there. We will definatly go back again.
- adrian (7/5): Great location and loverly people. - Perfectly located and perfect hosts. Loverly clean room with everything you would need. Only one negative would be only 1 toilet roll for 2 days stay 🚽😉. Would not take this as a negative as really we should have asked for extra. Nothing
- Susana (10/5): - The owners are very friendly and flexible. N/A
- Susan (10/5): Great location and easy parking - Great location, easy parking and friendly hosts. A great choice for Buxton and the Peak District
- Carol (6/5): Interesting not like any other breaks away - Location was excellent, host were lovely people, though felt their heart is not in the job as hosts After a long journey, was not offered even a glass of water, felt like an inconvenience due to the time we arrived, as hosts had plans to go out for that evening.
No garden as such to sit in, very hot weekend but no where to keep drinks cool, a fan would have been welcomed.
On booking.com states option of breakfast .. this is not the case.
No other rooms to access other than bedroom.
Think hosts maybe a little worried as expected about who stays in their home, but didn’t appreciate been told not to smoke or vape in the room, of course we wouldn’t of as this is stated in the guest info and I don’t know anywhere that alllows smoking!!
Lovely room and bathroom although not on suite was nice. Same towels for the two days.
Was told to expect housekeeping at 10.30 am next day even though we had booked for two nights.. option of a lie in would of been nice, instead had to set an alarm, we were up early and out as felt more comfortable for us to be out of room than in it.
We didn’t know it was carnival weekend in Buxton which might be an indication that this was one of the few places left to stay.
Hope this review doesn’t cause any offence as as people Maria and Rodger seem nice and their home is beautiful, just didn’t feel relaxing for us, would recommend Buxton beautiful place with gorgeous views.

The Owners were very welcoming. - The location was perfect for walking into the town of Buxton itself which we did each evening. Unfortunately breakfast was not available at the time of booking due to the kitchen being refurbished. But we appreciate that this was a temporary situation. However, there were plenty of eateries in nearby Buxton to enjoy good food.

- Anonymous (9/5): Traditional, comfortable, great breakfast and very well run. - Very traditional b and b. Although the room was not modern it was very clean, spacious and well maintained. Very professionally run with great breakfast options which were spot on! Lovely fruit cocktail. Pleasant hosts who were very helpful and informative. Every detail thought of. Comfortable bed and a good nights sleep. Within walking distance of the town centre, easy parking on the street outside. Welcome pack with helpful information. Beautiful countryside surrounding Buxton. We went to a couple of national trust properties (check winter opening times as some were shut). Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Nothing to dislike. If you like traditional rather than modern you will have a great stay.

- Paul (7/5): Good - Good breakfast Room 3 I wouldn't have booked this room if I'd have known how small and tight the bathroom was. I couldn't sit on the toilet properly because my knees touched the door.
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zoe (8/5): Very good - Lovely breakfast- the fruit salad was particularly delicious. The room was comfortable and clean and the little jaunt down the corridor to the private shower room was fine. Excellent location and nice staff.
- Nikhil (7/5): Good -
- Trevor (10/5): What's Not to Like? - This is a very comfortable, spotlessly clean and tidy B and B with a great breakfast and very friendly staff. Some really nice touches are the delicious chocolate bars in rooms daily and on the last day a post card appears on your table of one of the excellent pencil drawings by the owner which line the walls of the breakfast room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very quirky place. Very friendly staff . Clean and tidy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very close to tourist spots, short walk to Pooles Cavern, Pavilion Gardens and central Buxton. Nice owner and staff. Nice stay despite the weather
