• Kevin (8/5): - The staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent. The location was perfect for exploring the city. We did not receive an e-mail regarding the hotel door access code and self check-in procedure before our arrival. This caused some difficulty as we had limited phone access. The problem was resolved by borrowing a neighboring business's phone to call the hotel.

Dass man im Restaurant nach 22Uhr nichts mehr zu essen bekommt( auch nichts Kaltes, Einfaches) entspricht nicht den Erwartungen an Luzern.

The on-site staff were very friendly and helpful. I had questions and they were very responsive. This is located in a very quaint central location, close to shopping and the Train station. I cannot recommend this place enough and we will be back!

Stanza spaziosa e letto tutto sommato comodo. self checkin hotel, un po' laborioso. problemi con i nominativi del booking e quindi faticavo a trovare la prenotazione. inoltre non è prevista la colazione, vengono segnalati alcuni posti nelle vicinanze alcuni dei quali non aperti prima delle 9:00. ultima cosa noiosa, avendo prenotato 2 stanze, mi saranno arrivate almeno 6-8 mail dall'hotel prima e dopo il soggiorno.

• Brandon (6/5): - This is a good place to stay for a short stay to visit Lucerne. It is pretty limited though. There is no desk service, check in is on a tablet, but for us the tablet was not working so we had to call a number and they walked us through how to activate a room card. The room is clean, but small and a little dated. The location is great and easy to walk to everything in town.

I received 5–6 emails from you, and I couldn’t understand any of them. The self check-in system doesn’t work. We were three different guests, and all of us had to call for help. Also, there’s no soundproofing from the hallway —you hear everything and get woken up constantly.

• Elizabeth (6/5): - We never came in contact with a hotel staff member, so there was no one to ask questions if needed. The location was fantastic, but very noisy both late into the evening and early morning. The room was clean and comfortable, other than the noise keeping you up late and waking you up early.
• Gregory (10/5): - Really enjoyed the location of the Hotel Schlüssel in the old town area of Luzern. Everything is within a 5 to 10 minute walk, and it is just enough off the beaten path to be away from the noisy crowds in other parts of town. There is also a pay laundromat just a street over which was very convenient and we made use of during our stay. There is no onsite staff, giving it more of the feel of a personal rental. This was never really an issue for us other than requesting two room keys at check in and only being able to make one. As an aside, i made another later the first day which worked, but then the original no longer functioned. We really appreciated the fan in the room for our use, which allowed us to keep it comfortable during our 4 day stay even with moderate heat during the day. During the night we also kept the window open with the fan on to bring in cool air but the proximity to the church next door and the bells which peal every 15 minutes all night long made this not a good of an idea. Having the window closed really made this a non issue for sleeping and there is definitely a pleasant historical vibe to their consistency. Loved staying in the city for it's charm and location, and the Hotel Schlüssel just added to the overall enjoyment of our visit.

• Theresa (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Schlüssel! The staff was incredible and made us feel like family. We appreciated that we were just enough off the beaten path in a beautiful courtyard with a church dating back to 1270! It was quintessential and relaxing. The train station was less than a 10-minute walk, making it perfect for exploring Suisse. They also had an amazing restaurant, and we ended up eating there all three nights. I can't recommend this hotel enough! Thank you, Hotel Schlüssel, for making our experience exceptional!

Indtjekning af alder kunne tidligst regnes fra 1970, så jeg fik en kraftig "foryngelseskur". Selvbetjenings minibar virkede super på bagrund af god gammeldags tillid, der var bare ingen oplagte steder at lægge ekstra betaling. Måske kan nøglekort kasse bruges. Vi havde et supergodt ophold.

• KENNETH (10/5): - Very close to the river. Beautiful area. A little bit concerned about their check-in system and how they cut the key using simply a confirmation number only (anyone can guess someone else's based on your own) - the hotel may want to re-think that system.

Room did not have air conditioner and did not have good ventilation. Romm has only one window which skis did not open completely, opened only 25% due to safety I guess . They did provide 2 table fans. But that was not enough on hot summer days of our stay . It was extremely uncomfortable.

• Anthony (6/5): - The good; Historic building. Next to a the beautiful Franciscan church. The not so good: as a hotel, the facilities match the age of the building. There is no air conditioning it was a hot night, and we had to keep the windows open. The church bells Rand all night, at each quarter hour, and tolled out the hour. We were leaving the room at 11:10 am. The housekeeper, with her best Frau Blucher impression, reprimanded us for not leaving the room at 11 am.
• Michele (5/5): I wouldn’t stay here again unless it was in cold weather - Very clean and spacious room. Great location. WAY over priced for a room with No AC. We got no sleep because it was so hot. A fan was provided, but it just circulated hot air. The window only opened a few inches and air flow was impeded by a plexiglass barrier. No in room coffee - just tea bags with no sugar or cream.

Works great if you like simple, h - Fabulous location, neighborhood and proximity to the sights on the river in Luzern. Bed was comfortable and the pillows were as good as I have ever had in any hotel. Not having a front desk or any staff on site was a new experience for me and felt more like an AirBnB. It worked out okay. One issue was that we were a party of 4 yet we only had 3 bath towels and 3 pillows in the room. With no staff on site … we just had to accept that limitation. The other challenge was that we were there when it was hot! Around 30 degrees each day and the room was awfully hot. Without AC and only one window that only cracks open about 15cm, and directly faces the sun. We were left laying on the bed sweating at night. That made the stay quite miserable and overarched any other nice factors.
• Michael (3/5): This hotel felt more like a youth hostel than a hotel but was priced like a hotel. - Good location I reserved three rooms for two nights for my family. We never saw a staff person during our stay. The rooms were very spartan. The bed linen was soiled and there was only one towel in a two person room. There was no air conditioning which required the window to be left open because the temperatures were in the 80s. Unfortunately, there was an extremely loud bar outside the window which kept us awake past 2:00 pm. At 6:00 am, cannons went off and construction workers dropped pallets and started hammering. The loud noises made it impossible to sleep.

Gives you time to just turn off from the outside world. The delicious welcome chocolate. That windows could be opened. The cigarette smoke wafting up from the bar underneath the window. She also went above and beyond with recommendations and suggestions of things to do. She’s a great employee. would suggest more outlets. I had trouble hooking up my CPAP and charging my cell phone overnight at the same time.
