The location was convenient, the grounds were beautiful, the rooms were clean, Anita was constantly around and super friendly and helpful. I only met Manuela at check out and she was also lovely. The breakfast is unmatched!! So many goodies, and the cakes are all made on site. Truly a top notch accommodation! We did experience some of the smell from the sewage plant down the road, but it did not overshadow all the other fabulous points.

Delightful breakfast with local ecological ingredients and products! Also, enjoyed the selection of locally produced cosmetics. Pleasant outdoor pool for a morning dip. Very beautiful surroundings, nature. It's also walking distance to a golf course and it's club house. I hate when a king size bed consists of two queen sized beds merged together and it splits apart during the night. That said, it's something you will see in many places around here.

Grosszügige Aussenanlage. Schöner Pool und gute Aussicht. Fliegengitter, so dass man mit offenen Fenster schlaffen kann. Wir konnten früher einchecken und somit den Tag voll nutzen. Das Bad/Dusche war recht eng, aber machbar.

Our room only had one large window/door opening directly to a common area. Not a big problem but trade-off between view and privacy. The road to the place passes a sewage treatment plant, that unfortunately smells badly. But it can't be noticed at the accommodation.

Sehr freundliches Personal, das auch beim Tragen der Koffer in den ersten Stock geholfen hat. Gute Lage am Berg mit schönem Blick. Das Wasser im Pool war recht warm, so dass man sich dort von der Hitze nicht so gut abkühlen konnte.

We don't play golf but we can clearly see why golfers should love Relais La Mortella. What can be better than seeing your golf course with sea in the background when you open your eyes on a sunny morning? I'm sure this is a very personal preference - beds were too soft for our pains in the back. This was actually the only reason why we didn't extend our stay.

• Cassandra (10/5): Picturesque getaway - Gorgeous little B&B. Stunning views looking back to the mainland and Orbetello. Bed was divine to sleep in and the breakfasts scrumptious. Staff were very welcoming and had amazing recommendations. Would love to come back in the summer or warmer spring to make the most of the island, pool and surrounds.

Lots of places to chill outside, beautiful and comfortable room with a well-working a/c and very quiet even though it was fully booked. Staff was also super helpful and very kind. Would absolutely recommend! The breakfast is very poor with only unhealthy options and absolutely nothing if you are dairy free or vegan. Another thing is that there is no bar or any place to get a drink, so if you're hanging out by the pool or outside you only have what's in your minibar which is a bit of a shame!

We had a beautiful room upstairs with windows on two walls and views. The reception rooms downstairs were comfortably furnished and very welcoming. Outside was a botanical garden to delight the senses. We had breakfast outside under the pergola every day. Anita, Manuela and Massimo could not have been more welcoming or helpful throughout our stay. La Mortella is in a perfect position for exploring Monte Argentario and the mainland. There is so much to see and do from there.

The property offers tranquility coupled with close proximity to everything. The grounds and buildings are meticulously maintained. The property has exceptional Tuscan traditional finishes that will send you back in time yet has all the luxury you could possibly hope for. Our hosts’ incredible attention to detail, cleanliness and hospitality is second to none. The breakfast was sublime with a great selection of amazing local farm to table products and wonderful service. We will definitely be back. There is nothing to dislike.

Guests at La Mortella have access to the fancy golf resort (via a short walking path) if you like that sort of thing. Drove to the Citadelle but it's been turned into condominiums so no public access.

Consigliato al 101% a chi intende passare del tempo IN PACE e a chi vuole farsi anche una passeggiata ai campi da Golf adiacenti la struttura.

• M Beth (10/5): Beautifully Restored Tuscan Farmhouse - Stayed here on our last night in Tuscany & wished we could've stayed longer. Tranquil views from our large & very comfortable room. There were several secluded sitting areas throughout the property to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine. Very charming hosts who provided great suggestions of what to see and do locally. And the breakfast was truly amazing with many choices, including delicious homemade cakes.
• Sara (10/5): Consigliato - Bella accoglienza, gentilissimi. Ottima colazione. Bellissimo posto. Comodo per raggiungere le vicine destinazioni dell'Argentario. L'unico neo: le stanze non sono molto insonorizzate e si sente quasi tutto, ma quello capita spesso, purtroppo. Mi piacerebbe magari provare una camera più spaziosa e un po' più silenziosa, perché ci vorrei tornare.
• Alan (4/5): Left after one night due to bad odour - Nice position and nice people but stench of sewerage/blocked drain in and around room was unacceptable and the deoderisers being used only served to make it worse. Staff said it was not their fault, blaming weather, old buildings, what not, but management need to take responsibility and take action
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Sono stata al relais settimana scorsa. Location eccellente.. I responsabili Gaia, Anita e Massimo sempre a disposizione e cordialissimi. Una vacanza per chi vuole relax accompagnati da cicale e farfalle. Posto molto strategico per visitare tutto l Argentario.
