• Raychel (7/5): Budget-Friendly Stay With Room for Improvement - We booked this hotel because of the price, and on that front it absolutely delivered — £68 for two people for two nights is incredibly cheap, especially for the location. The bedding was clean, the floor had been hoovered, and the toilet and sink were spotless. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a very convenient spot for the Pleasure Beach. Another bonus was the free on‑street parking, which made things much easier. We also appreciated the small touches like tea, coffee, shower gel and shampoo being provided.. That said, the hotel is definitely showing its age and could benefit from some maintenance. The carpet was stained and really needs replacing, and the wallpaper was bubbling and peeling in both rooms. The bathroom had some mould in the shower, and the shower itself took a long time to warm up. We also experienced loud banging noises from the water pipes, which was quite disruptive. There was a stain on the ceiling from a previous leak, a hole in the floor, and even a cracked window pane. The windows also had a lot of condensation, and the blinds wouldn’t tilt properly. The ceiling lighting was extremely bright, making the room feel a bit harsh, and the wardrobe area was starting to peel. Finally, the towels provided were very small, which wasn’t ideal. Overall, if you’re looking for a very cheap place to sleep, this hotel does the basics: it’s clean where it matters most, the staff are lovely, and the location is excellent. But be prepared for a number of maintenance issues that could affect comfort. With some investment and repairs, it could be a much better stay

No covers on duvet stains on bed .thin door in-between rooms can hear everything. Kettle was dirty. Looks nothing like the photos. Went down to ask for another room and nobody on reception.

The hotel next door had a bar and the people sat outside drinking until after 3am. They were very noisy. Although I am aware it wasn't anyone's fault in this hotel and it only happened on our last night.

Our host was there to greet us and kept our bags safe and secure as our room was not ready yet (we arrived very early!) and we had an event to attend. When we did check in, our room was clean, spacious and exactly as described. The bathroom is huge with a lovely big bath. Bed was really comfortable and having a fridge in the room was great. Nothing
• Rob (8/5): Great value and location - It cost £36 for a room with a double bed, bunk bed, ensuite with shower, tea, coffee and bottled water. The location is perfect for the pleasure beach and water park. It's not luxurious, the furniture is old, it's not the comfiest bed I've slept in, nor the perfect level of cleanliness. But it's more than adequate and really for the price, it would be wrong to fault it. Excellent value for money.

• Samantha (8/5): Great location, room clean but quite small. Good price - The location was good and we were lucky and found parking easy opposite the hotel. Outside the hotel there was a supermarket, takeaways and wetherspoons which does a good breakfast. Right next to the pleasure beach and pier, beach etc... The staff were welcoming and friendly Room was clean and bunk beds for the kids. We were a family of 4 and found the room a little small for all of us with the bags. It was a small double which was comfortable but it would have been good to have a full double but that would have impacted on space. Although we checked in as a family of 4 we only had 2 of everything, cups, glasses and towels. We never asked for more but sure we could have got more if we did. The room was fine for 2 nights bit more room would have been better with a 7 and 13 year old.especially if we were staying longer. We didn't need it but there was a travel cot not sure where this would have gone. The price was very reasonable so can't complain

They let us leave our baggage in the hotel despite coming in earlier than check in time so we can enjoy strolling the area without the heavy bags. Room a bit small. Toilet too small. You have to hurt your neck to watch tv.

• leslie (6/5): It was ok - Staff were nice and pleasant and supportive One of the kettles in the rooms just does not switch off they was no socket at the side of the bed so I couldn't use my medical aid properly I have to run the next tension lead across the room and only one socket in the entire room the TV was up on the wall so far away from the socket that you wouldn't able to use the TV

Very very clean in the hallways and bedrooms. The host was very friendly and approachable. Offered to show us different parking options. Offered a room upgrade which was great. Beds were very comfortable. Immaculate all around. There’s isn’t anything that we didn’t like.

• Leanne Gowler (6/5): Good for the price - Great location and very easy to find. There was free street parking nearby, which was really convenient. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room itself was clean with a comfortable bed. The area was nice and quiet too, which made for a good night’s sleep. Overall, for the price, I would happily stay here again. The shower holder was broken, which made using the shower a bit awkward. When I first turned the shower on there was no hot water, even though the sink tap had hot water. There were also a few small cosmetic issues, such as the blinds being slightly bent and a bit damaged.

Owners were fantastic and helped unload/load the car. Room was basically but great value for money, clean and everything worked as should. Would 100% reccommend, we will deff be back. The rooms are a decent size and very clean. The bed was so comfortable. Good location. Had a very enjoyable stay here and will definitely be back. Struggled with the shower first time of using it.Took a bit of time to work it out how to get hot water.

Very convenient for South Shore/Sandcastle Water Park. It was amazing value, we had a small bathroom, kettle/tea/coffee, hairdryer and TV, plus guest WiFi, everything we needed. They securely stored our bags for us. Great location and a safe place for a family to stay. Nothing. It was great value and the owner and his family are all lovely.
