The oatmeal was watery and needed salt. Maple syrup was not Maple Syrup! It didn’t even have a maple flavor! Beds were too soft.

The whole property was very clean - inside & outside. Beds were very comfortable & clean. Bathrooms were very clean as well. These things are very important to me. Staff was friendly & very helpful. I didn't like that we paid extra for parking. The room was a little dim in the corner by the first bed in the room we stayed in. But overall we were very satisfied with our stay here.

Raymond (8/5): Excellent but Beware of the "mountain view." - Love the rooms, clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good, lots of choices. The location was as we wanted it to be, close to meals and the highway. When I booked the room, Booking.com showed that the room we reserved had a mountain view. When we arrived at our room, the "mountain view" was of a small hill behind the hotel with phone lines and wires. Perhaps it's time to revisit that description...

I saw people complain about the $7 parking fee in previous posts. Not sure if we will get charged or not. If so, it's not a big deal to us. We travel a lot and feel that the price paid was fair for the quality.

The breakfast was not very good thoughWe stayed there for two days and they had these cheesy omelettes which were kind of runny and lukewarm. The cereal was good. No waffle machine. And the orange juice was the tangy juice stuff. The rooms were really quiet, except that they don’t have stoppers on the door to stop them from slamming so there are doors banging around late at night. Also, the ice machine on the fifth floor was going gangbuster the whole time. I brought a fan with me and that helped quite a bit, but I could still hear it two doors down. The bathroom was nice. Had two sinks I think. There’s a refrigerator in the room and there were no bugs in the room at all. So I do recommend this place for sure. If I were to come back, I would probably stay here again. Related to the area and not the property: If you’re coming to ride the creeper trail, then I’d suggest saving your money on the shuttle and just parking yourself in Damascus and riding your bike up and then back down. It’s doable if you are an avid cyclist. I darn your suffocated in that bus on the way there. Not recommended. If you do take the shuttle sit in the front.

Upon arrival, we were given an option of which floor we wanted. It is quiet and beds were comfy. Given a map and list of dining options. Complimentary breakfast was delicious.After traveling all day, this is all you could want and more!

This is pure greed on ownership's part & we will not stay there again because of it!

I’ve been a Marriott gold member for more years than I can remember. With that. As context, they wanted me to BUY water! They acted like they were doing me a favor by “upgrading” my room. The management is just silly, breakfast was very nice with little omelets and even gluten free bread but I’m still getting over the water. Anyway, there’s plenty of other places to stay, close by, and the management team here is just lacking in hospitality. I don’t think you get that in a class.

My husband and I are both restless sleepers so I had specifically wanted two beds. They said because I had booked through a third-party. I was at the bottom of the totem pole and FA Fairfield member wanted that queen room they would get it. I was not happy. They did reluctantly give me my confirmed price. Also, I counted 22 outlets in the room, but I could not find one USB port in the king suite and sadly did not have my adapter with me.

Was charge $7 for parking in a non-secured parking lot. Incidental charges brought my bill up $29. I was told I will be credited but none of this was explained during check-in, and I have not received and credit.

Steven (10/5): The manager, Gerard Caron is fantastic! Very helpful, courteous and professional. - This was my second time at the hotel. I booked again based on the great experience I had during the first stay. The breakfast was very good. We liked the scrambled eggs, english muffins and oatmeal. Loved the variety of toppings for the oatmeal. Also, the coffee was great! All in all, a very nice, clean area with sufficient table space for everyone. We also used the washer/dryer which was a lifesaver.

Kathy (4/5): - When we arrived at the hotel the power was out. Hurricane Helene had hit. Although we had called ahead to be certain everything in Abingdon was safe and okay before going, the power was still on at that time so no one could know that shortly that would no longer be the case. We had to carry luggage up pitch black stairs. No help from anyone on staff. We were told breakfast would be served the next morning, regardless of the circumstances. That was not true. No offers were made to discount the rate, to adjust for the lack of power and a/c, to even address it in any way. The key cards were just handed over. I am certain the staff was in distress trying to adjust to the situation, but the absolute lack of assistance or concern or even an offer to adjust the hotel rates under the circumstances was unexpected.

Scott (10/5): Wonderful stay!!! - Had a wonderful stay. Beautiful room with comfy beds, very quiet. Breakfast choices were good and hot. Looking forward to my next visit.
