The breakfast served was delicious and we enjoyed the convenience of the location to the cute shops in the area. We will definitely be back and I’m encouraging my in-laws to take a weekend trip as well however she would need something on the 1st floor.
- Leslie (4/5): - Do your research! No pictures are a good indicator of "things" not being as you might expect. There was NO common/sitting area. I was looking forward to that/chatting with guests (as I've done in many other bnbs) and not having to stay up in my room. Even a hotel has a lobby area! Disappointing. My room was up a steep stairway. While very large and nice, it was noisy (front room/on busy street) until well after midnight. It also only had two lamps - which made it very dark/dim at nighttime. And, though warm fall nights - the room was really cold even with the little heater on. Bed was okay. They needed a comforter or better blanket as this one smelled like my grandmother's basement (musty/mothballs). Ew. And, the kicker - my bathroom, while private, was up another 14 steep stairs! I have really bad knees. I asked to see if anyone else would like to change rooms with me - and they said they wouldn't do that. Nor would they cancel my second night. The stairs were a LOT for me. Also ... my opinion is, if you have a bnb and aren't an excellent cook - then hire someone who is. Breakfasts both days were ... meh. Side porch was nice. I've stayed at many bnbs ... sadly, would not recommend.

Location is perfect to stroll through Lititz Main Street. We were in town for a wedding at Brick Gables which was only a couple minutes drive away, so it was very convenient. So many small touches that were unexpected, I just cannot say enough!

So fresh and healthy. All our needs were accommodated to and we also had complimentary parking with our stay. Would highly recommend and we are all ready planning our next trip back.

The owners Bryan and Jeff were so welcoming, the house is beautiful and right on Main Street, where quaint shops and great restaurants are just steps away. - Karen (10/5): Fantastic weekend stay! - What’s better than a weekend in Lititz? Staying at the Alden House during you stay! The house is beautiful. Brian and Jeff are fantastic! The breakfast was scrumptious both days. My daughter ate her weight in Peppermint Patties (sorry guys😂). They also have coffee, sodas, water and cookies available 24-7. The location can’t be beat! It was so easy to drop off our purchases as we shopped our way through town. If you’re just staying in town, you can park your car (for free😜) and not need it until you leave. So much shopping, delicious restaurants and also a few good breweries just steps away. Don’t hesitate to choose Alden House as your home base for a Lititz (and surrounding area) vacation!

- Vicky (10/5): Pennsylvania Get-away. - Our first time staying here. It was wonderful. Our hosts, Jeff and Brian, were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We had a suite on the 2nd floor that opened onto a balcony overlooking the patio and pond. There is also a large side porch on the first floor, with tables and chairs, a perfect gathering spot to interact with other visitors. The breakfasts were delicious and filling. Lititz is a wonderful town with plenty of shopping and places to dine, and close to Lancaster, Gettysburg and the Amish countryside. We enjoyed our stay very much, and will be making a return visit.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. There was coffee, tea and homemade cookies in the dining room at all times, nice porch to sit overlooking everyone walking up and down Main Street.
