- Krista (10/5): Awesome B&B - We absolutely loved this B&B! The home is beautiful, Peggy the owner was very kind and hospitable, and the food was delicious! We will definitely book here again if we are in the area.
- Gretchen (10/5): - It was an amazing stay. One of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. Super people.
- Michelle (10/5): - This home is restored and furnished with antiques. I could not have had a more lovely stay!
- Conrad (10/5): - Everything was wonderful: the house, the room, and all - especially Peggy, the owner & host. Would heartily recommend it to all!
- IE (10/5): - Such a beautiful house and sweet host! I was just passing through during a cross country drive, but would definitely have stayed longer if I could. So glad that I stayed here instead of a bland hotel. Definitely would love to come back.
- Mark (10/5): - This is such a fabulous place to stay! The owner is very gracious and has spent many decades restoring this beautifully-crafted Victorian house to perfection. A very charming place, comfortable and quiet, with a pleasant view of the river from the front porch. The breakfast was also top-notch.
- Jonathan (10/5): - First and foremost, Peggy was kind enough to look for, and find, a pendant I had left behind in the upstairs bathroom. It's safe to say that she goes above and beyond the call of duty. My husband, our dog, and I stopped there overnight on our way to Cincinnati for Thanksgiving. The house is historic, adorable, and well appointed. Peggy is good company and an excellent hostess. The home cooked breakfast the day we left was delicious. Definitely recommend this property!
- Steve (10/5): - What a lovely and charming place. Peggy was a gracious host. My gosh what an amazing breakfast! Loved our stay !!
- Kevin (10/5): - We recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful hotel, and I must highlight the exceptional host who made our stay truly memorable. The hotel itself was exquisite, offering comfortable accommodations and stunning amenities. However, what stood out the most was the host's warm and attentive service. They greeted us with a genuine smile, ensured our needs were met, and shared valuable local insights, making our visit truly special. The host's personal touch and dedication to guest satisfaction added an extra layer of comfort and enjoyment to our stay, making this hotel a top choice for anyone seeking a fantastic experience.
- Maurgan (10/5): - What a beautiful, elegant and peaceful retreat. Our room was exceptionally comfortable, loved the bathroom and Peggy was a superb hostess. Breakfast was also excellent. Could not recommend highly enough!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great place - great hostess - hot room - This place was so charming - a step back in time! The hostess was so friendly and even took the time to sit with us at breakfast to talk with us. The only negative was that the A.C. did not turn on much (if at all) once the night time hours came and it was very stuffy and hot while trying to sleep.
- Adrian (10/5): - If you are looking for a place to stay that you will remember, reserve a night at this property.
- Guowei (10/5): - We enjoyed our one night stay with our dog. Peggy was very kind and friendly. The house is quiet, very clean, and beautifully decorated. The second floor room in which we stayed has access to a spacious balcony overlooking the river. The house is conveniently located in a very safe area. We took our dog for a walk in the nearby park along the river. There are many dining choices within walking distance. The hot breakfast was delicious. We couldn’t ask for more and would highly recommend to our friends and fellow travelers.
- William (10/5): Wonderful Stay - Great stay. Our host Peggy was just wonderful and she was very accommodating. Breakfast was very good.
- Ashley (10/5): - 2nd time we have stayed here. Wonderful warmth of an older home and great hosts.
Also near the small town of Clearfield. Walking distance to antique stores, local owned shops and local owned restaurants.
- Ivonne (10/5): - This property is amazing ! So many details and decoration and is extremely clean. Peggy, the host is very nice and sweet.
Breakfast is really good . Best banana pancakes:)
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Peggy was a perfect hostess and a delight to chat with. Breakfast was among the best that we've had at any bed and breakfast. Would highly recommend.
- Diana (10/5): - This is a beautiful old home lovingly brought up to date with attention to detail and modern conveniences. There are antiques mingled with momentos of the owners family throughout for a charming & unique atmosphere. Peggy is a gracious host who adjusted to my many dietary restrictions and still managed to provide a different delicious breakfast every morning.
- Christopher (10/5): - Made a great break from staying in chain hotels. Everything was a good as described and the breakfast was excellent.
- PAUL (10/5): - Peggy was absolutely lovely and welcoming! We would definitely stay in this charming B and B again!
- Chris (10/5): - Absolutely gorgeous decor and restoration staff was polite courteous and refreshing to have someone actually talk to you
- Ian (10/5): Wonderful Victorian Charm - This was our second visit here, again, stopping off on during a long car journey. We can't reconmendation the b&b enough. It's got real character, personality & genuine good feel to it. It's realky clean, beautiful, good location, not far off the 80 and the family that run the B&B are so hospitable, you leave feeling like you've just visited friends.
- Patrica A (10/5): Romantic yet family friendly stay - Our stay was wonderful! The B & B was immaculate, beds were super comfortable, breakfast was delicious, innkeeper was a magnificent host and it was an overall fabulous experience. This was our first B & B and won’t be our last visit. The innkeeper was very knowledgeable about the area and gave directions well. I was worried about it being an old home that it may smell musty but it did not. My allergies also did not bother me during the stay. We would definitely stay again.
- Melanie (10/5): Personal AND private! - Peggy was a wonderful hostess! An excellent cook, too. We almost felt like we were staying with friends - or colleagues, maybe. Nothing impersonal about it; though there was privacy when we needed it. The rooms and space were very comfortable and attractive. I hope we can think of reasons to come back (Clearfield is my hometown; but there aren't many relatives living close by anymore!).
- Arthur (10/5): Like coming home! - Peggy is such a gracious host. She and her staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and abundant. We plan to be in Clearfield next spring and will definitely give Peggy a call to check availability!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The home is so beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed long hours on the private balcony. The owner is so genuine and personable too.
- Riad (10/5): - We had a great stay at Peggy's with our puppy. She's very friendly and offers a delicious breakfast. Her house is beautiful with plenty of antiques. We also forgot a bag there and she mailed it to us promptly. Looking forward to going back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely in every way! Peggy is an excellent host, home is immaculate!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a beautiful home with incredible wood work. Everything about this home is cozy and the hospitality is terrific! The location is nice for a walk to downtown, to the park or along the river. Clearfield is a lovely town to visit and Victorian Loft B & B is the perfect place to stay!
- D.StevenTomlins (10/5): - They welcomed us and our Lab!. The home was pristine our room was comfy and the Hostess Owner was gracious. She sat with us at breakfast which was delicious and she easily conversed with my wife and I. I highly recommend this B&B
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I had a wonderful, albeit short stay at this property. The host was gracious and reached out the day of my visit to verify arrival so everything would be ready for my stay. The accommodations were perfect and the morning breakfast was delightful. The town was also lovely and historic and within a short walk from the house. I will definitely stay here again if my travels bring me back to the area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The loft is very spacious and comfortable. Peggy, one of the owners, is lovely. Breakfast was delicious. We will be back!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Sparkling clean, great breakfast, great host and last but not least a great house to stay in!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything that we had hoped for in a B&B. Beautiful home, wonderful hosts, and a hearty breakfast complimented by exceptional coffee. This was our first time staying in Clearfield and we had a great meal at Moena's restaurant and then spent a good portion of the evening chatting with locals while enjoying some adult beverages at the Race Street Brewery. Very enjoyable stay and we will come back the next time our travels bring us this way.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful home and gracious hosts! Wonderful breakfasts and homey atmosphere. This is without a doubt the best B&B we have ever stayed at. We are planning on returning to again!
- LindaR (10/5): - Attentive owner/operators. Beautiful building and setting. Plate of newly baked cookies in our room, upon arrival.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Victorian adventure - This was a true Victorian BnB. The hostess Peg was informative and pleasant to talk to. We would stay here again.
- Christopher (10/5): The absolute BEST... - This is quite likely the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The entire house was impeccably clean, filled with fascinating stories of family, and entirely authentic. The Christmas tree in the south study was absolutely jaw-droppingly beautiful. The breakfast was fantastic as well... and served on the finest dishware I’ve ever seen.
Peggy was amazing and both her and her assistants took extra time out of their day to accommodate our dietary needs and ensure a comfortable and customized experience.
We will be back every time we travel by the area... hopefully lots!
As for food, we ate at the nearby Moena restaurant. It’s an Italian restaurant, with great local food.
The town itself is very walkable, with a few things to do in the winter. I imagine that Spring through Fall is the best time to see the area.
