• Morag (8/5): Orkney is a fantastic destination, well worth leaving your car at home & using the local bus service - The apartment was well equipped and is small (as the images showed) but the location more than makes up for that - very close to the bus station and High Street.
• Susi (9/5): Superb - Comfortable, well equipped little apartment in the town centre. A bonus to be able to park at the door. The bed was a bit tricky to get in and out of.
• Richard (10/5): Had a wonderful stay and our host David was very helpful - Castle yards is in an excellent location. 5 mins from Kirkwall town centre, bus station & tourist information centre and of course Magnus Cathedral. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. N/A

• Steven (10/5): Great cozy apartment we easy access to downtown Kirkwall! - Loved the location, so close to St Magnus! Also easy parking for our rental that we brought over on the ferry. Host was also very responsive when we had questions. Loved our cozy appartment! No problems at all.

• Dorothy (10/5): We had a great stay at the Courtyard Apartment 1 but wish the bedroom was a bit more spacious. - The apartment was very nice, clean and spacious. Designated parking was a big plus. Great location for walking around town and easy access for driving from apartment to explore the island. The bedroom was a bit claustrophobic as the bed was very small and being right up against the wall and the dresser at the base of the bed, , it was difficult for two to sleep comfortably and hard to get in and out the the bed for the person sleeping against the wall.. I ended up buying a blanket and sleeping on the couch(which was comfortably for a short person.. It would be great to have some extra blankets available should one decide to sleep in the living room.
• Gail (8/5): Fabulous location in Kirkwall with all the amenities needed for a lovely stay. - The Castleyards apartments are right in the heart of the village within walking distance to all the sights plus restaurants and grocery stores, etc. The apartment is compact but contains everything you need to enjoy your stay. The shower was a decent size and had excellent water pressure. The owners were responsive to questions. The bedroom is very small. There is only access in/out of the bed on one side.
• Brian (8/5): Very good apartment, and would happily return, given a chance. - Very comfortable, great facilities and very helpful host. Was small, not a problem, but the bedroom was the only problem. Too small for a double bed and no bedroom door. Not obvious from the pictures.

• Daniel (8/5): Very good - Clean, comfortable, nice kitchen, great location — walkable to restaurants, shops, tourist sites. Laundry in the apartment! When our flight was delayed on checkout day David very kindly let us keep our luggage in the apartment for an extra three hours. The bedroom is very narrow which means the bed can only be accessed from one side (the other side is against the wall). The inside person (1) is trapped, or (2) has to climb over a sleeping outside person.
• Alison (8/5): - As two seniors we found this ground floor flat convenient and stocked with everything we needed. It was very convenient for using public transport, just steps from bus station and info center. The host kindly left the lights on for our late arrival. Nothing fancy but a good solid base with good wifi, warm and comfy.
• Carlotta (10/5): Perfect for our short break in Orkney ! - Superb location in the centre of Kirkwall. Perfect for the two of us. There was an allocated parking spot for this particular apartment just out side of the front door, but someone else was parked in it for our entire stay. This is just a comment, not a complaint, as there was additional free parking near by which we used instead.
