Guest Reviews
- Soobia (6/5): - 1. The swimming pool was the best thing about the stay, kids loved it and it was nice and good size.
2. The accommodation was well equipped, cutlery, pots, pan, knives, hairdryer, dishwasher etc were available and working.
3. Can't fault the price! 1. All the furniture and carpets are extremely dated.
2. There is no shower over the bath tub, so even when you get 2 toilets, you only get 1 showering facility.
3. "View" from property is misleading tbh, there are maybe 2 cottages that get the view from the porch, none of the others have any of the views.
4. We need to talk about that "sofa bed"!!!! It is extremely uncomfortable and inconvenient.
I would say the property is ok for occupancy of 4 not 6.
- Sue (8/5): Very nice - Open plan layout and views. (Minor) A non stick frying pan and extra loo rolls.
- Mark (10/5): Beautiful Location home from home comforts - it was like Home to Home I thought everything was just perfect
- Ed (10/5): -

- Lee (9/5): Highly recommended and would return - Our stay was excellent at Green Acres Cottages.
Very comfortable house superb location. An air fryer would of made it complete in the kitchen. Quicker and cheaper to run rather than waiting for the large oven.
The swimming pool was very nice but could of done with being slightly warmer.
- Siphiwe (9/5): - Lovely spacious property ,clean, perfect location No car charging facilities
- Scott (8/5): Lovely clean cottage with great log burner. Would stay again - Comfortable and cosy, a well stocked kitchen and loved the log burner No welcome pack as such, some Cornish treats would have been a nice touch.
Also the pictures looked like there was more open space in the garden.
- REENA (10/5): -
- London (10/5): -
- Agnieszka (9/5): This is a great property for a family stay! Would definitely recommend! - The property was lovely and spacious. The underfloor heating was great and access to the pool was definite win with the kids.
Beds were super comfortable. This is being very picky:
The sofa bed downstairs is really hard so not as comfortable to sleep on as the beds upstairs.
No complementary toiletries (booking.com lists them in the property description)
Pool was on a cool side - making it a couple degrees warmer would make a difference.
- marjie bartlett (10/5): - Everything
- David (7/5): Great cottage, shame about the mattress - Great little cottage, lots of facilities inside, and the pool was great. Absolutely loved the location The bed was very uncomfortable, didn't sleep well for the whole visit, but that's my only fault really.
- Krzysztof (10/5): -
- Honey (10/5): - Amazing
- Honey (10/5): -
- Jan (9/5): Relaxing and cozy family stay. - Fabulous view, great swimming pool. Very convenient to visit the Eden Project and the coast.
- Kerene (8/5): A lovely chilled break in nice surroundings - Perfect for the four of us and our dog Nothing
- Clifford (1/5): - Nothing. Mold, cigarette butts, no practical parking, hostile staff.
- Cross (9/5): -
- Katie (10/5): Loved it :) - Was such a beautiful place, would love to come back at some point. The pool was a great perk too and slightly warmer than a normal pool so was perfect for a 19 month old.
- Jenni92 (10/5): Beautiful cottage with incredible views - The views from our cottage (number 9) were incredible! It was lovely having my morning coffee on the balcony overlooking the countryside. Parking was great too, with only a 20 second walk to the cottage which was handy having 2 children with bags and the pram. The bed was very comfy probably one of the comfiest iv slept in whilst being away. The whole cottage was clean and spacious whilst being cozy too. And thank you to the staff amazing and incredibly helpful. I really like the whole stay possibly if I had to put something maybe anti bac spray and washing up sponges but I brought some with me anyway so wasn't a massive issue really.
- Sharon (7/5): Value for money & great location! - Very close to Eden Project and beaches and the bonus of a swimming pool. Jacuzzi in pool wasn’t working, with no signs to say so either. This was a let down as it’s one of the reasons why I booked the place rather than a hot tub. If I had known it wasn’t working I would have probably booked elsewhere.
No matches or firefighters left for the fire as stated in the manual.
- Oliver (10/5): Enjoyable - Very comfortable, however, the sofa bed mattress not very comfortable, maybe worth considering a new mattress . Or topper.
No pizza oven plates, again maybe worth considering , we had to purchase new ones to use during our stay Everything good
- Chloe (10/5): -
- John (10/5): Green acres - Very comfortable and amazing value for money Nothing
- Rachel (8/5): - Very clean, spacious for a family of 5 (4 adults & teenager) Oven nob was broken, which meant getting the oven to the right temperature was tricky, it’s had been glued on which hadn’t worked
- Robert (10/5): very nice cottage and view was lovely -
- Lorraine (8/5): Good property for a long weekend stay or short break. Perfect for a family of 4 people. - Pool was great, Views are amazing. Property was clean and comfortable. Shower room was tiny.
- Hannah (9/5): - Loved that there was a private pool for guests staying at green acres. Me and my family of boys had pool to ourselves everytime we used it.. Cottage was cosy, clean and spacious with comfy beds. I would recommend to friends and family. Was in a dog friendly cottage which was great but other cottages had extended lawn garden which would've been better for dogs rather than the smaller gravelled garden.
- Philip (10/5): - Really enjoyed the cottage and the pool as well.
- Sebastian (9/5): -
- Anoop (1/5): carry your entire house if you want to book this property. - the property was well cleaned , check in was easy. the hosts were horrible. we had booked for 3 nights, on landing we found there were no extra small bin liners as the property only has bin small bin liners or oven foils or salt or any oil or sponge to clean dishes. on contacting the hosts they were quite blunt saying its self catering. we have booked self catering before too where the above was never an issue.
- Fiona (9/5): A perfect comfortable stay whilst visiting family who live nearby. - Spotlessly clean throughout, very spacious. Warm and cosy. Great thought has been put into the presentation of this property. Good quality throughout with lovely woodwork. Especially impressed with beautiful lined and interlined curtains! The swimming pool area is also beautiful and the pool warm and inviting.
Stunning views over the countryside from the front of the property.
Allocated parking space. Personally I don't like a shower unit with the option of overhead only. A bedside table in between the twin beds would be better with a decent lamp on it so the occupants of both beds could read without having to get out of bed to turn the main light off!
We would have liked more than 1 toilet roll for each bathroom and more than 1 black bin bag in the kitchen.
- Donna (5/5): -
- Kate (9/5): Wonderful short break with everything we needed. - The kitchen was very well equipped and location and views were excellent. The cottage was also exceptionally clean. The map sent us to the back door of our cottage and we couldn’t find the key box. Eventually we worked out that there was a different door and found it there. But it was dark, cold and wet when we arrived and it would have helped to make this clearer.
The pool was a little chilly for us to spend time in it.
- Ricarda (9/5): -
- Esme (9/5): Lovely stay for twixmas, would recommend for a cosy quiet stay. - We loved this cozy cottage! My dog absolutely loved the underfloor heating as much as we did. The view from the bedroom window was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. Clean and comfortable and the pool was a great bonus.
We had a lovely visit to 4 different beaches and loved all! The log burner didn’t draw very well so we gave up in the end. It was warm enough in the cottage without the need for it. So not the end of the world! We didn’t mind but if you wanted to go for a drink etc then some one would need to be driving or taxi etc.
- Ben (8/5): Nice place would stay again - Location Not enough cleaninh products antiseptic spray as it’s not a hotel would’ve helped
- de Frescheville (10/5): - Great place
- Maggie (8/5): Fantastic development of cottages with a pool - This location and the cottage were ideal for us while we visited family in Par. We loved the setup and spacious news of the cottage and the freedom we had to come and go. It really felt like home, and our grandchildren loved it, especially the fact that we could take them there from school to help mum and dad out. Our dog lived the garden, and we all loved the tranquillity of the place. Soo clean quiet, and we will definitely be back We were not happy that a sign outside the pool said it was closed, and there appeared to be no reason for this. Following a phone call, we were told there was no reason for it to be closed. Other people we met also said how dissappothis was. I'm glad I rang up. In addition, the oven in the cottage appeared not to be working. Some instructions would have been helpful to be able to switch it on. Again, I'm glad I rang up. Thank you to those who helped.
- D TD (10/5): - Amazing property. Felt very welcoming. Beds were super comfy!! Quiet and fab location. Towels provided. Amazing added extra of the swimmimg pool, kids and I loved it! Already looked at booking again and thinking it would be great for a girlie trip away too. We only came as we were going to the Eden Project... perfect for that. Also easy for supermarkets and takeaway foods. Felt like home ... we did not want to leave! No staff around if you needed anyone. We arrived at 6pm so it was cold and dark. I had no idea how to use the heating system and i eventually realised the whole system had been turned off!
Also, only kindling and a couple of logs left ... no matches and no firestarters so that was a challenge to get the log burner going to get some heat in yo the property.
Silly things like ... a few extra plates as if you load the dishwasher, theres no others and if the dishwasher isnt full ... its a waste! Pizza cutter needed too :) and some liquid hand soap for the bathrooms would have been fab.
Wish the pool was open different timings too. Would have been fab to have it from 8am - 9pm instead
- jayne (7/5): December stay - Location, wood burner, cleanliness Cold on arrival, pool was closed for the entire stay with no explanation, unhelpful response when contacted the reception phone number
- Alona (10/5): Very good. We were super happy - Very cozy , we loved it, suitable for big family The oven isn’t working properly. We wanted to cook and end up throwing food away and did take away
- Jane (9/5): Relaxing and comfortable - The location was perfect. Beautiful views, and not too much single lane driving to reach the property ! The only gripe was that we couldn’t get the key in the lock when we first arrived. Didn’t want to force it, but in the end we had to. We bought some WD40 and after that it was fine.
- Nagra (8/5): -
- ingrouille (10/5): Dreamy place ❤️❤️ - Was all so perfect ❤️ Having to leave 😔
- Ronald (9/5): -
- Amanda (9/5): We really enjoyed our family holiday here. - The swimming pool was a big hit with the children and grownups! The houses were well designed and very comfortable and the view was lovely! I asked for 2 properties next to each other. I was told my request was granted, but booking.com didn't /couldn't fulfill that request. So that was misleading. Also, I wasn't told I had booked a "dog friendly" property. I would have asked for another one as they always smell of dog. Apart from that, we were really happy with everything.
- June (10/5): Fantastic! - Loved the look and ambiance of the house and property. Loved the large, warm indoor pool for any weather. The location was perfect for getting to all the touristy places within an hour or so; and then all the amenities of home!
- Luckose (9/5): “A Memorable Stay with an Unexpected Challenge” - The pool was the best, kids loved it. Also the beautiful view from our cottage was awesome. . All the rooms were very clean and nicely arranged. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay — it was a lovely experience with fun and memories. However, we’d like to share a concern we faced during our stay. However, one night around 1 a.m., the boiler made loud noises that disturbed our sleep, and the emergency number wasn’t reachable. We eventually switched it off around 4 a.m. Despite this minor issue, we truly enjoyed our stay and appreciate the overall experience.
The stay was comfortable, the ambience was beautiful. And recommend others for this cottage, as hoping they would have rectified the issue already.
- Nisanthan (8/5): -
- Nicholas (10/5): - Very good location with amazing views Narrow lanes to cottage
- Paul (10/5): The perfect cottage! Highly recommend. - A beautiful cottage, clean, cosy, warm and heated indoor pool. Nothing! It was just perfect.
- Ulf (10/5): - Everything is just right here. The house is fully furnished and leaves nothing to be desired. Beds, service, towels, WLAN, TV, Pool etc. really tiptop. If a trip to Cornwall, then definitely here. :-) I have been thinking for a long time,... there is simply nothing.
- marjie bartlett (10/5): Lovely time. Accommodation and location perfect. -
- Sandra (10/5): -
- Sabrina (8/5): Enjoyable - Homely and comfortable Kitchen space
- Simona (10/5): -
- Shelley (9/5): A clean, quiet cottage - a home from home…with a pool! - The house was well appointed, all of the beds were made with good quality, clean linen and towels were provided for the bathrooms. The kitchen had a good range of cooking, serving and dining facilities and equipment. The complex is one of our favourites and a real bonus is the great indoor swimming pool! The cottages are beginning to look a little tired as they are well used. The double bed is a bit small for two!
The pool also, is getting chipped and needs some renovation, but at the moment, it is minor criticisms.
Lastly, we needed egg cups, we’ll bring some next time!
- timothy (7/5): - Location is excellent. They have a lovely pool. Great views. In the pictures we saw a fire log burner. Unfortunately when we got there we were not told that the logbanet was out of use. This put a damper on it as my partner does like to have a log burner going. Even if it's hot summer's day she will still cook well. Would you like to sound and the smell. And as I went there for her birthday it kind of put a damper on that. Other than that the place is fantastic
- Minal (8/5): Very good - The pics were misleading as I expected the property to be surrounded by huge fields that we can have access to for walking.
- cherylyn (9/5): Nice view and comfortable. Television needs upgrading. - Even though the location was quite remote it was Easy to find as the property was marked properly. Check out time was so early. 12nn checkout would have been ideal.
- Sudeep (8/5): - Good clean cottage. Replied to queries quickly. It would have been better to keep some cleaning products like washing up, kitchen tissue etc.
- Rebecca (8/5): -
- Neera (9/5): -
- Ruth (8/5): All in all we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would visit again - Views, swimming pool. Hairdryer and towel provision. Playground for children. The staff I met were very friendly (1 cleaner and someone looking after the pool). Master bed was too small for two people. Decor was a little tired. Some furniture and hardware was faulty. The hob was also glitchy.
- Markus (5/5): -
- Matthieu (10/5): -
- Sonata (1/5): - That has swimming pool. No private garden, very exposed, you see your neighbours from both sides. Plus horse poo smell comes as horses around in fields. Nowhere to walk dogs by walk...everything by car must be. Too expensive for what it is.
- Lee (10/5): - Lovely stay with family, everything you need in accomodation. Dog friendly! Good base to visit some real gems! Visit Fowey Harbour.
- Katie (9/5): -
- Gsz (10/5): - A beautiful cottage with amazing views. Clean throughout with plenty of towels and bedding.
- Ruth (8/5): Great spot for Cornwall stay - Good location to head to visit many other locations in Cornwall. Pool was welcome attraction for the children. House well equipped and comfortable- plenty of space downstairs.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (9/5): Very enjoyable stay. - Lovely location, clean and tidy. Lovely swimming pool. Sofa bed not very comfortable, but served it’s purpose.
- Nibu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jayshree (10/5): Exceptional - It was a good location as we needed to visit different beaches nearby. Sofa bed could have been better.
- Chris (8/5): Apart from no washing facilitys ihe stay was brilliant. We will visit again. - Location No washing facilities on site,
- Anna (10/5): Easy convenient and comfortable. - Great pool, easy parking, large living spaces, two bathrooms, nice views of rolling Cornish hills, lots of things you need like dishwasher tablets.
Close to lots of super spots (very close to Eden project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Carlyon Bay, Charleston and Fowey) No shampoo or shower gel. Sofas and armchairs are a little dated now.
- Laura (6/5): Beautiful cottage but not very high standard - Quite a few parts of the cottage weren't clean, appliances were leaking and broken/unusable. Bath was dirty with soap scum and skin! Outdoor chairs broken, injured myself sitting on them. Kettle leaked, couldn't use the microwave due to no handle to open the door.
- Larry (8/5): Lovely place to stay - would happily stay again. - Property itself very clean, spacious and well fitted out. Rooms good size and very good shower and separate bath. Pool was brilliant, very clean and wonderful to have. Lack of laundry facilities not great especially for longer stays or families. Be great if a small laundry room was created. Communal BBQ area needs a bit of a freshen up, as does the small childrens play area. Also, the pool rules are clearly shown on the walls but, when we visited, a group of younger children were using the pool unsupervised and throwing the safety equipment around the pool.
- Jay (10/5): Had a great time. loved the location. very happy - Loved the pool. Loved the view. Great fun. No improvers
- Dicken (6/5): Dissapointing 5th visit. - Great location
Pool very nice. Our 5th stay there but standards have fallen.
TV was faulty, picture colours all wrong. I also have an LG TV so know how to adjust this and was unable to get a satisfactory result. Needs replacing.
Room for improvement with cleanliness and maintenance of grounds and hedges. Many cobwebs outside windows. Communal laundry advertised but this was permanently locked.
Very basic outfit of kitchen utensils.
Main bedroom has standard doubke bed. Needs replacing as too small.
Very old outdated small TV's in bedroom with 4x3 picture format. Needs replacing or removal IMO.
Probably will not book there again.
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- paul (10/5): Perfect! - Great Self-catering accomodation!
If you do self-catering holidays... you have to respect that the provideris providing just accomodation & not a hotel service!
- Abu (9/5): Amazing view - Great location and the swimming pool was amazing. It was too hot during the evening and they didn’t have any fans, but to be fair the staff did they to get us some fans, but their head office didn’t get back to them before we left, or they did I’m not too sure.
- Claire (8/5): Close to Eden project, highly recommend!! - The house has everything you need.
Very good for anyone with mobility issues.
My dad had the comfy sofa bed, there is a shower/toilet downstairs, so he didn't need to contend with any stairs.
The views are amazing.
Very close to the Eden project.
Recommend the Britannia inn restaurant. We stayed in cottage 7, the tree needs trimming back and an unnecessary bush (isn't there for privacy) it restricts the amazing view from seating area/ bedrooms.
Dogs from other cottages were left roaming free so would come in ours (I'm scared of dogs)
Better size bowls for cereal. (Deeper ones)
Bike shed/smoking area needs a good clean/tidy (not inkeeping with the cleanliness of the grounds)
- Shannon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Watton (9/5): Superb -
- Kayleigh (1/5): Horrendous - The pool was nice, kids enjoyed the facilities.
The view is beautiful. The area is lovely and the people are so friendly. Cottage 4. Filthy, dusty, grime, mouldy windows & grease. Crumbs, hairs, pubes, splashes, & bad smells. Bin smelt like death (had to leave it outside) Oven symbols rubbed off & no manual on how to use. Went to tescos the first day and bought cleaning equipment, cleaned the place myself. Tried to call the company and booking.com. had no help or contact until Friday (we arrived on Monday). It was terrible communication. I spent time liasing in emails as we left 2 nights early, we all developed a cough and rashes, I'm guessing from the black mould spores everywhere. I'm not sure what accommodation the good cleaning reviews are staying in, but it certainly wasn't ours. Maybe the newer ones are better conditions. After fighting tooth and nail for a refund for the nights we did not stay. It was finally given. But the last email sent was the company refusing to accept responsibility, and they didnt agree with the lack of cleanliness, even after sending over roughly 20 images of the state of the place. Bad management & terrible conditions. Ruined our week in Cornwall.
- Gill (9/5): Superb -
- Gill (9/5): Superb -
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deep (9/5): Relaxed and calm environment - Location and view were great. Easy to get to tourist destinations. N/A
- Des (4/5): Dissapointing - Sofa and armchairs, showers, kitchen, cleanliness, comfortable beds. No en suite, bathroom in lounge separated by a single door, dangerous sloping ceiling in bedroom, toilet seat in bathroom, wear and tear to doors and windows,
- Mervyn (8/5): St blazer cottage - It had an Ant infestation, the patio doors did not work, The wood burning fire was out of order and decor dated.
- Ann (9/5): Superb -
- Leonie (9/5): Superb -
