Guest Reviews
- Dan (7/5): - Excellent location. Would be nice to meet someone in person
- Susan (7/5): - Location was great.
- Kin Sheung (7/5): Room facilities need to be improved - Quiet room, close to bus stop, easy access There was no wardrobe, not even a hanger. Clothes should be placed on the stair railing
- Martin (10/5): Very nice - Location is optimal for the center of old town Zadar. A great place to kick off activities.
- Suzana (9/5): -
- Georg Jurij (10/5): -
- Julie (9/5): -
- Nikola (10/5): Excellent - Great location
- Scott (9/5): Stunning hotel and staff were brilliant and helpful would recommend. - To start with there was a mix up with our rooms however we were then upgraded to the Jolly room with balcony and it was beautiful and we’re glad there was a mix up on the first place as the balcony at night is simply stunning. I wish I knew the woman’s name who is there every day to take care of the rooms as she was first class lovely and so helpful, we would definitely be back. There was nothing we didn’t like about the property
- Wesley (5/5): No Parking! Beautiful, but not worth the hassle if you have a vehicle. - This is a beautiful hotel with lovely rooms. It was clean and comfortable with a great balcony looking into the old town. THERE IS NO PARKING AVAILABLE! The closest overnight parking is over 0.5 miles away and cost over €50/day. The host was nowhere to be found and spoke to us through a call box. She was unresponsive to emails / would not provide a phone number. We were left without any assistance!
- Erika (9/5): Super Lage -
- Mattias (8/5): Fräscht boende med bra läge! - Fint och fräscht! Att det i annonserna stod att det fanns en terrass. Det var inget vi kunde hitta.
- Stephan (10/5): Tolle Zeit in Zadar - Tolle Lage, super Balkon
- Ildikó (10/5): -
- Robert (10/5): Superb location, clean and good facilities - The property is in an excellent position just inside the old town walls and opposite the ferries. Everything was very clean, the bathroom in good condition with plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet at night. The cleaner was friendly but the person checking us in was a voice on the entry phone. It was not a problem as everything was well organised. The decor was a bit over the top and not really to my taste but it did not spoil our stay
- Philip (8/5): - Had a minor miscommunication with the host prior to arrival. Otherwise everything was great. Convenient location. Room was great.
- Robet (10/5): - The beds were awesome & incredibly soft. It was like sleeping on a cloud. The balcony was really great too! Very nice shower & bathroom. Having a lift was a very nice surprise! Not a thing
- Yee (10/5): - Hotel is beautiful with great ambiance. Conveniently located and top room has a fantastic terrace. Only complaint is that they didn’t service the rooms very often.
- Nathan (6/5): - Positives: Clean room comfy bed
Negatives: No staff on site, needed a code to get into the hotel, my key was just left in the door to collect. The same key works for the front door so am concerner that key coulr be used in any door which is a security concern
- Denis (7/5): - Location was excellent. Staff available when needed. Need to re-consider placement of AC unit in bedroom as at present it's behind a free standing wardrobe See above
- Victor (10/5): - This property was beautiful, and the location was ideal. It was beautifully decorated, it was comfortable, and it met all our needs. The parking is a bit tricky, so be careful where you park. We did get a ticket for parking somewhere overnight that we weren't supposed to, but the fine was only 20 euros which we paid at the post office (walking distance). Be careful where you park! We were very happy with this property and would use it again.
Nulla.
- Melissa (9/5): Fabulous stay with a central location. Very clean and comfortable with good host communication. - Tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been better. Also the fridge in the room was noisy so had to turn it off to sleep.
- Jeffrey (9/5): - Comfortable and clean No parking and difficult to find-make sure you have owners phone number to get code fo door
- MARIA (7/5): A recommander - Appartement central,. Un peu bruyant.
On a vu aucun personnel durant le séjour
- Kaity (10/5): Fab room in the Old Town - Perfect little respite for adventuring around Zadar, or out to the Plitvice Lakes. This room was my little space of heaven with a massive bed and a hot shower. I had views down the Old Town streets and was just steps away from the ferry (and luggage storage after checking out). Will stay again next time I'm back in Zadar!
- Idamia (10/5): - La ubicación es excelente, el Hotel está en el casco antiguo a 20 min caminando a la Playa. Todo está muy bien
- Xavier (9/5): -
- anca (10/5): -
- Narelle (9/5): Great location and hotel with character - Location is fabulous. Considering it is in a busy old town touristy area, the street and gate is quiet. The property is just gorgeous. We were lucky to have 4th floor room jolly with a balcony. So nice at sunset and sunrise. Well worth the extra $. It was clean and comfortable and had lovely charm. Coffee is downstairs at your whim. If you don’t have gps while walking around to find the property it is a bit tricky. No street no. or name on the wall. It has a yellow awning with the hotel name on it.
Parking is a bit tricky also. Free between 10pm and 8am if your lucky to find one in Zone 1 or 2. The ferry leaves from the same spot so people always looking for a parking spot.
- Liz (9/5): - Wonderful location in old Zadar, property had lovely character. Easy to access with very prompt responses from host. Parking was a little tricky
- Benjamin (10/5): Lovely hotel in the old town - Lovely hotel within the city walls. Close to the sights and to the coastline. Very stylish and spacious room. Would definitely stay here again.
- Mark (10/5): - Couldn’t possibly be a better location, and a superb apartment! Loved it!
- Mathis (10/5): Clean safe and well furnished - Décoration et literie super, hygiène super, sécurité super, emplacement super C’était pas simple le parking , payant et limité à 3 h et devoir marcher 15 minutes pour un parking payant mais pas le choix en choississant l’expérience intra muros
- Gianluca (10/5): - Ładny styl, miły host
- Soraia (7/5): - La posizione ed era pulito
- Kathryn (8/5): - Beautiful place but description of ammenities is not accurate. They need to update that infomation
- manda (10/5): Great location in the pretty old town to enjoy the historical centre & lovely restaurants - Location & style of Venice & roof top terrace & balcony views were amazing.
-Bathroom was top quality too. -Lack of parking in Zadar in the old town & not enough advice on how tricky this is. Advice on parking zones for visitors would have been useful ie: zone 2 and prices as it took us 1.5 hours to find parking on Sunday 3 August.
-Tea and coffee making facilities should be in rooms and not the lobby entrance.
- Verified traveler (6/5): No staff on the premises - When we arrived at the hotel at 5 PM, there was nobody there to greet us. We rang the doorbell of the Ring Camera 3 times over 5 minutes before someone answered, and it was like talking to “ The Wizard Of Oz”. The voice on the other end was not friendly or welcoming. It was unclear at the time whether ir not there was anyone else staying in the hotel, as the lights were all off in the lobby, which was a little bit creepy and unsettling. We were finally given the door code to enter, and the key was waiting in our room door for us.
The location was EXCELLENT- could not be better! The building is just inside of the gates of the old city, right in the middle of everything.
Do not be deceived by the claim that there is parking on the premises. There is a parking lot just beyond the city gates ( around 1/2 block away), but the maximum time time that you can pay to park is 3 hours, until 10 PM, and you can then park there overnight. The next closest parking lot was 6 blocks away, and you can park there for several days for a reasonable price.
The room was clean, loved the balcony looking over the old city, with a partial view of the ocean. There is a refrigerator, but the sign in the lobby indicates no
food or alcohol is permitted in the room.
- Patricia (10/5): Perfect place to stay - Everything was great..position perfect
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Annie (8/5): Very good -
- Spates (10/5): Exceptional - So convenient! Clean, easy and perfect. Would definitely come back and recommended. Such a great find!
- Svetislav (10/5): Nice spot in Zadar - Perfect location, close to everything, airport bus around the corner. Everythig wea OK
- Kathy (10/5): - We could not have been any more central, an awesome location. A welcoming hostess. We had the top floor with a step-out balcony, great for breakfasts.
- Peter (8/5): - Building exterior needs love, but whole town needs care. Dirty streets, litter, graffiti-inhabitants do not respect their town. The building’s interior is showy but all needs are met. Proprietress is helpful, warm, & knowledgeable.
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean, elevator No coffee
- William (8/5): Very good -
- Marija (9/5): Superb -
- Melissa (9/5): Superb -
- Kayla Danielle (8/5): - Unique boutique hotel just inside the walls of the old town with an abundance of dining and shopping options within steps of the hotel. Although it said parking within 20m we were unable to ever find a spot however discovered free parking at Ravnice 2….which was a bit of a hike. Absolutely delicious meal at Harbourhouse restaurant which is across a beautiful, lit bridge on the other side of the harbour. No staff on site at the hotel and housekeeping is on request.
- Liam (10/5): Perfect property and location for a Zadar getaway. - Modern electric, plumbing, comfortable bed, elevator in a nicely kept and maintained property.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Easy self check in ,great location. Beautiful room with nice shower
- Jennifer (6/5): - This app states there is “ on-site “ parking. There is not. There is no parking anywhere near this location. It also said the parking was 15 euros per day - which was untrue. It was 30. There is no staff available anywhere and when you message them it takes HOURS for them to reply.
- Wendy (8/5): - We never saw any staff at all . Our check in was a bit late because they weren’t ready. The location was excellent and the place was very clean. Would’ve loved a coffee in the room but other than that it was a great place . Would recommend!
- Anastasiya (4/5): - This is not a hotel. This is a house with 4 rooms and no reception no bar no parking nobody to ask for help or assistance. We were given a number to call when we arrived, we called someone who didn’t really speak English and told us over the phone to use the door code to let ourselves in. Our room key was in the door so technically anyone could have walked in. The room had no hair dryer even though it was promised as part of the amenities. I called and asked for one and it was never delivered despite being told that it would be there the next morning at 9am. Might not be a big deal to most people - which is how it seemed to the person on the phone, but it was a big deal to me. No parking at all - ended up with a parking ticket because the system is impossible to understand for foreigners.
NO ENGLISH TELEVISION - promised satellite tv but there was none.
Would not stay here again.
- Karen (6/5): Average - Good location Our room was not ready at 3pm after a long trip from Split we had to wait an hour. We advised them in advance what time we would be there, very disappointing.
- John (9/5): Superb - Fantastic location and beautiful rooms! Having a staff member on site.
- Simon (10/5): - What a great property for exploring all that Zadar Old Town and surrounding area has to offer. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and just off of one of the main streets. If I was going again next weekend I wouldn’t look any further. Seamless checkin in, check out which were both handled remotely. Thanks again for making everything so easy.
- lavita (10/5): - Was a very good stay. The host was very accommodating.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Sean (8/5): Convenient location for a short stay in Zadar - The location is excellent for exploring the old town. The rooms were clean and comfortable and had a small fridge. The lift to the room was a bonus! Some tea or coffee making facilities might be nice! There is a flight of stairs from the lift to the bedroom which might be difficult for people with heavy bags or dodgy knees - I had both! Parking is a bit tough nearby - download the Bmove app to find cheap and available parking spots nearby. No physical reception but the directions we were given over the phone worked pretty well.
- Sandra (8/5): Very good -
- Francesca (7/5): Good - The room was lovely and clean. The hotel is situated next to the old town walls which makes it very convenient for accessing everything easily. The room is quiet with the windows closed, and there is aircon. The facilities within the room are good. The person I spoke with on the phone let me check in an hour early so I could drop my bags. There is a café next door for breakfast and a couple of cafés for really good coffee. I think that I was the only person staying in the hotel whilst there. I didn't meet any staff at all whilst I was there and was just sent a phone number to call to have instructions on how to get in. As the building was empty, this felt a bit strange and isolating. On check out, I had to text the number to ask how to check out.
- Parin (6/5): Great location. Small room. - Great location. Has an elevator. The host Ivan gave us clear instructions by phone. Comfortable bed. Small room. Therefore space was tight.
- Patti (6/5): - There is no onsite reception and was not easy to communicate at check in. Location is perfect if you want to be in the old town.
- Inna (10/5): - Nice private room in great location.
- Roger (6/5): - Not clear check in - check out process- long wait to check in, great location
- Kathie (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (8/5): Very good -
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional - Location perfect No staff at location maybe due to being April?
- Ross (10/5): - Loved it
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful and comfortable room. Walking distance to everything. Convenient public parking outside the place
- Shirley (10/5): - The location of the property is amazing. Also I love the decoration in the property. But the bed was a little bit uncomfortable. Besides that, everything was wonderful. It really looks like a palazzo.
- Shirley (8/5): - What I like it most was the location
- richard (8/5): - Property is in an excellent location just inside the old city gate, well maintained, clean and comfortable. The only hiccup was the communication from the mgmt which there was none, no one there to check you in or out.
- Laurence (10/5): - Crazy good location within old town. Super modern remodel of classic building. Rooftop balcony. Elevator if needed. Good communication w host. Excellent recommendations for dinner etc.
- William (8/5): A good place to stay - Location excellent and facilities adequate.
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Noemi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (6/5): Pleasant - Location. Safe didn't work. Smell in the bathroom like sewage. No cups, glasses or things that make your stay special. Told not to eat in the room.
- James (10/5): - Great! They arranged for a pick up at the airport. Great location, right in the city center and next to where the ferries leave from. Marko who picked us up and welcomes you at the front desk was friendly and accommodating.
- Daniel (10/5): - Amazing location Marko gave me great ideas of what to do for 3 days in Zadar btw he’s the guy who meet me to give me the keys he also has a taxi good guy
- Denis (8/5): Very good -
- James (10/5): Awesome place! - Great location! Taxi drops you off and you have maybe 25 steps to the hotel. It’s right in the old town center with restaurants and gelato establishments galore. Very clean and friendly staff.
- Alan (8/5): An excellent room in the old town of Zadar. Rather pricey for what you get. - The location is fantastic. The room was amazing. Very clean and very cool (very quiet and efficient air conditioning). Very comfortable bed. Considering the number of people walking by outside, there was little noise to be heard inside the room. This is really a mini apartment rather than a hotel so there aren’t the same kind of facilities you might expect e.g. lounge area, breakfast room, bar etc.
- Marius (4/5): Disappointing -
- Sylvia (8/5): Nice place - AC worked very well and lots of privacy. Parking required going to the meter every 3 hours until 2200.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - Very quiet. Excellent location to catch the ferry in the morning. Close to everything.
- Talmon (2/5): - No hot water (3 mins and it’s out), wi fi did not work, room looked “improvised” (there was a “ladies room” sign on the door), shampoo looked like it was stolen from somewhere and on and on.
- Michele (2/5): Cold shower and no blankets on beds - Problems from the start when the key code to get in didn’t work. Ants in the bathroom and marching to the bedroom. Tried to take a shower - no hot water bc i apparently turned off the water heater when I turned the bathroom light 💡 n or off. I have no idea. Only sheets on the bed - after a freezing night they said blankets were in a black bag in the armoire. Who does that??? All I saw was a mattress pad and light bedspread that my husband wrapped up in. Parking was not 24 hrs in the muni lot - only 3 hours at a time except from 10 pm to 8 am. So we had to keep feeding the meter. I can not recommend this hotel - it was the worst night we have spent in Croatia. They need to be customer friendly and this had too many pitfalls. Location was perfect though and it’s a beautiful room. But a warm shower and warm bed were what I wanted.
- Maria (4/5): the perfect location during our stay in Zadar - location was perfect no toiletries no cleaning service no coffee/tea facilities. the 2 single beds were placed into very uncomfortable position with no head support,
- Maria (4/5): perfect location during our stay in zadar - perfect location single beds were out in very uncomfortable position with no head support, no toiletries, no coffee/tea facilities
- Roger (2/5): - Musty, no hot water and mushy beds
- Jose (10/5): - Palazzo Venezia is a charming boutique hotel in the heart of Zadar's Old Town. The hotel has just four rooms, each of which is individually decorated and furnished with antiques. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is delicious. I would highly recommend Palazzo Venezia to anyone looking for a luxurious and historic stay in Zadar.
- Patrick (8/5): This is a small building with 1 room on each floor - location, elevator Bed too soft, room too small
- Rudi (5/5): Passable - The location is very good.
It is close to the beach and the canter of city. There are cosy cafes around the hotel. Although we kindly requested to clean up the room and the rubbish bin, it has not cleaned up during our stay.
No fucility to make a hot water .....
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
