Guest Reviews
- Mireya (10/5): - Excelent service and location
- JEFFREY (4/5): - We had a great vacation in Costa Rica and chose this hotel for our last night because it's near the Liberia airport. The photos online look MUCH nicer than what our room looked like. Our room's window looked into the hotel hallway. The beds were springy and old. The bathroom wall tiles had holes in them. It was not worth what we spent. We stayed at another hotel in Arenal that was amazing for not much more money per night. The only plus is that the staff was friendly.
- Abigail (10/5): - Very nice room. A/c was a bit slow to get the room cold but we were comfortable sleeping at night
- Michael (4/5): - The suite was fairly clean but it is older than I expected
- CLAUDIA (10/5): - Perfect place for a stop by
- Verified traveler (4/5): Would not go here solo as a female. - There are no phones in the room, nor a number to call the front desk for emergency. Had an instance where I was being harassed by another guest and afraid to leave my room to get help. Eventually contacted the front desk and they did escort me to another room away from the other guest, but there was not a chain lock of the door. The next day the morning crew knew nothing about my incident. So no one was looking out for me. The area of the hotel is next to a camping hostel, but there were people sleeping on the beach and road. Overall the location didn't seem safe for solo traveler.
- Samantha (10/5): Excellent stay! - The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. On our checkout day we wanted to do a tour in Playa Coco and they held our bags for a few hours. The grounds were well kept. We had a little patio with rocking chairs that was comfortable to sit on while we made plans for the day. The hotel is a block from the beach and the walk is easy. Very close to restaurants and a small market if you need anything. The included breakfast was fresh and tasty. The room itself was a little dated, but it was clean and comfortable. The AC worked well. I'd stay here again if we were in the area.
- Brian (10/5): Great Location enjoyabe stay - The location was great, a block from the beach and close to a convenience stores. I breakfast included was a great bonus and we enjoyed the pool. The grounds are very nice.
- Kristine (10/5): - its A very nice, with beautiful grounds, hotel. Somewhat dated in decor but clean and well maintained. The included breakfast was very good. It is on a Main Street so there was some road noise but overall quiet.
- Armando Alvarez (10/5): - All the staff at this property were so nice and friendly, I will not say names because I am afraid to leave a name out. We loved every one of them, recessionist, restaurant girls, gardener, and daily service personal.
Thank you so very much to all the fabulous staff at Hotel Villa Cacia for providing your extraordinary attention. Will see you again soon
Sincerely,
Armand and Ana
- Danielle (10/5): - It’s very clean, and the room was comfortable. I found it to be very typical for the area, yes it’s dated in regards to the fixtures and furniture but it was clean, and the ac worked great. I’d stay here again.
- Jodie (4/5): Disappointed - Disappointed in my stay. The grounds were beautiful. The room, not so much. Good space. The bed and pillows were hard. Only one power outlet and that was next to the refrigerator. No outlet near the bed or in the bathroom. Lighting in the bathroom was dim. Shower temperature was cool. No adjustment. My room was never cleaned during my trip. I booked the double bed non-smoking room. I left a day early. Location was near the beach. Easy walk. Now I know the the reservation was non-refundable.
- Rose (8/5): - Property is very quiet and in need of updating.
Rooms are smallish. Staff is very kind and attentive to requests.
- MAISHA (2/5): - This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was dirty and should not have been in use. Andre the front desk person placed me in the room knowing it was not cleaned. I asked for an upgraded room because the standard room was horrible. There was water damage on the walls and water came into my room where I slipped in the middle of the night; stains on my sheets and bugs everywhere. Do not waste your money or time.
- Barbara (8/5): - Great staff. A short walk to the beach. Very clean, nice breakfast included. Quiet at night....however there is construcion in the property next door...which starts early. Very nice.
- Alice (8/5): - Room was a little cramped and basic but the grounds were stunning, including the pool. There were iguanas and geckos around and a variegated squirrel in the tree opposite. It was lovely and quiet. It was a short walk down the quiet road to the beach to watch the sunset over the water and we ate dinner in one of the beachfront hotel restaurants. Great start to our holiday.
- Annie (4/5): - Staff was excellent! But none of the amenities were available. The room was in a back corner backed up to dirty empty/cosntruction. Mouse poop was on the bed. Sand in the bed sheets. No hot water in the sink and occasionally warm water in the shower. Had to upgrade and even those rooms were rough. This may be a good place to stay for locals, but not tourists. Would not recommend
- Jessica (10/5): No frills hotel - Everything was clean, staff were friendly and Playa Hermosa was steps away with a plethora of restaurants to choose from. Very simple and basic place to stay, bed not very comfortable though.
- jorge (6/5): - PROS: great location, walk to the beach about 200 yards. Tropical setting. Attentive staff. Restaurants nearby. Convenience store one block away which you will need. Nice pool. CONS: no phone in room have to walk to front desk every time you need something, NO ice machine ON premises. Forget about getting a cocktail at breakfast. They say they have a traditional bar but not really. bartender was missing on a Wednesday night. No hot water in room/bathroom sink. No stopper on sink. No microwave, coffeemaker or hair drier in room. Maintenance workers start making noise ( hammering, saws, tool noise ) at 7am. Restaurant has only three breakfast options. Dinner/Lunch? pizza, spaghetti, ceviche and traditional dish Casado, nothing else, menu is the same for lunch and dinner.
- glenn (10/5): - The restaurant on site was fantastic
- Mya (10/5): - Beautiful property and kind workers. Helped us out with transportation and activities, and the amenities were very nice and clean.
- ava (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and helpful ! 10/10
- Brenda Janet (6/5): - It was a bad start as I had prearranged with the hotel to have transportation at the airport to get me to the hotel. It was confirmed they would. Didn’t happen. Saved myself $20.00 by using a taxi that was already at the airport.
The people were friendly and helpful.
If you’re expecting an included buffet breakfast, sorry to disappoint. It’s limited to 3 choices off a menu. The food is good though. The menu choices for other meals is very limited. I tried each selection and the food was well prepared. Lots of other restaurant choices near by.
If you have a feather top mattress at home, you’re going to have sleep deprivation here. I actually used mine for Pilates one morning. Very thin.
Considering someone is always cleaning there, I can’t explain the black crud on the floor around the bottom of the toilet. The room is very sparse. And if you’re a man that shaves every day or a woman that applies makeup, good luck, the lighting is very poor.
But the grounds are beautiful and immaculate. It’s obvious Raymond takes great pride in looking after them.
The location is very good. A short walk to the beach and a grocery store practically across the road. Excursions don’t have a problem picking you up right at the door.
Would I stay there again? Only if I upgraded to one of their separate huts. I had a chance to look inside one and they are impressive.
Please keep in mind I stayed there for a whole week, not just passing through.
- STEPHEN (6/5): A Fine Choice for the Budget Conscious - It is interesting to read the reviews of this hotel. You have both 2 star and 5 star ratings. The funny thing is as I found both to be accurate. The hotel has both nice grounds AND old rooms. The rooms are clean, but the A/C units are on their last leg. The location is good (5 minute walk to the beach) and bad (a little seedy, but safe). The service was friendly, but staff had limited English language skills. WELL worth a few bucks to upgrade your room. Also, there was a fantastic restaurant, Gingers, that was a 5 minute walk up the street.
At the end of the day, how you feel about this hotel depends on your expectations. It is a hotel for the budget conscious. If you come with high expectations, you will be disappointed. If you come with modest expectations, you will be pleased. I rate it overall 3 stars.
- Linda (10/5): - The staff at Villa Acacia were always very pleasant and accommodating. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the service was wonderful. I loved the grounds which were meticulously groomed by the staff. The sound of the birds in the morning was lovely.
- Aryanne (8/5): - Great property with a small restaurant, a nice pool and hot tubs. The vegetation is absolutely breath taking ! Our room was the only one available at the moment, a little small and could have been more welcoming. A quick 2-3 mins walk to the beach, perfect for the time we had for this town.
- William (10/5): - The room, grounds and location were all very good. A 5 min walk to the beach, restaurants and a 15 min drive to Coco. The pool was nice and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room had a large bathroom. The only suggestion I would make is that the room had no where to hang anything. A few hooks on the wall and hangers would have been nice.
- Benzion (10/5): I would come back!!! - My husband and I came for his 40th bday celebration. Our aim was to try and find the nicest, most affordable hotel and this was it!! I have to be honest our room was very basic (we didn't do the nicer suites) but very clean. The staff was so wonderful, all of them so very sweet and helpful. The included breakfast every morning is absolutely worth it, it was so delicious!!! I loved the small pool they had; I even did pilates there for a couple of days!! It's less than a 5 min walk to Playa Hermosa, which is such a beautiful relaxing beach!
- Fernando (10/5): - The location is prime!!!
- Colin (10/5): - The location of this property is perfect...just a short walk to the beach. The villa was perfect, the kitchenette included a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, slow cooker, electric griddle and blender. The staff are incredibly friendly. The breakfast options were somewhat limited, but all tasted great. The grounds were in great shape. There is a small store across the street and a larger market that was a ten minute walk away. The hot water was spotty, but who wants a piping hot shower when it's 35 degrees celsius? Will be back for sure!!
- Michael (10/5): - Would stay here again
- Terry (10/5): - Friendly staff, great location and amazing breakfast with your stay!
- Peter (10/5): - Very nice hotel and staff. Safe and close to the beach. Nice tropical gardens
- Francesca (8/5): - Wonderful and friendly people. The hotel is dated but very clean and definitely good value for money.
- Luis (10/5): - We stayed in a villa with kitchen area. The grounds are clean and green. Pool area was also clean. Included breakfast was delicious with three choices available. Unlimited self serve coffee as well. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was cleaned daily if requested. Restaurant has a limited menu but the pizza was always great. Property is close to the beach. I will visit again.
- Elizabeth (6/5): - Pretty expensive for value. Nice breaky
- Vadim (10/5): - Small number of guests, with great wifi, pool with shade, and proximity to the beach. Close to LIR airport.
- Robert Allan (10/5): - Hotel is very nice.. and all the Staff are great. They make you feel like family. Loved it will be back again and again.
- Maria (10/5): - Andre and his team were very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend staying at Hotel Villa Acacia!
- ramiro (10/5): - Great time! I will be back for sure
- Jessica (10/5): - Walking distance to beach, service was excellent and staff were very friendly and the free breakfast was delicious, traditional food. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms were perfect for what we needed.
- Rogue (6/5): - The property is great and close to the beach. Housekeeping and Maintenance were great. Andre at the front desk was polite, but not responsive to our satisfaction.
We arrived two days early and Andre gave us a great walkup rate for the room for nights not booked.
We had booked a budget room, and it was what you would expect for that price category. But, the hot water in our room did not work, and the ceiling fan did not work.
We immediately spoke with Andre at the front desk about the problems and asked to move, but he said there were no open rooms to move us to in our category, but we could pay an extra $50/night to move to an upgraded cabana.
While that was a great price for an upgraded room, we just wanted hot water and a fan for the room we had booked, or to be moved. He told us they would fix the hot water, but the fan was broken. So, nothing for day #1.
We approached Andre on day #2 to let him know we still didn't have hot water. He immediately sent Mario to check it out. Mario knew what the problem was, but couldn't fix it until the next day. We asked Andre again to move rooms, but no.
On day #3 we FINALLY had hot water, and of course the ceiling fan still didn't work.
So, bottomline, the property is great...our room was not. If they had moved us to ANY room, this would be a 5-star review.
There were plenty of open rooms during our stay as evident by the front doors being wide open, and an offer to pay more for an upgrade.
We won't stay here again. YMMV.
- Amy L. (4/5): - The property itself is beautiful, close to the beach with lush greenery and a serene vibe. Be aware though that the ‘economy’ rooms are verrrrrry sparse. I can’t say anything about the other rooms but I would highly recommend avoiding the economy option even if it saves a few bucks.
- Drew (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We are three young girls. We had items stole from our suitcase and had a naked man try and break into our room in the middle of the night. The naked man then passed out outside our room. We got a hotel staff, they told him to be quiet and then left him there! They let him sleep naked outside our room all night. When we complained in the morning the staff said it was ok because he didn’t actually get into the room. Completely unacceptable. Do not stay here!
- Mark Renae (10/5): - The staff at Villas Acacia were very welcoming and friendly. They were always looking to see if our stay was going well. Parking was awesome under roof and behind locked gate. Pura Vida!!!
- Chad (10/5): - We stayed in one of the villas, and we very comfortable. The property is a short walk (a couple of minutes) from the beach at Playa Hermosa, which has amole sand, shade, and good snorkeling at the north end of the beach.
The property is a bit older, but doesn't feel touristy. Don't expect a 5 star experience, but you will be comfortable. The bed was comfortable for my wife and I. But realize there is no concierge, shuttle service, or bell hop service. But the staff are very friendly, as are the locals. So, if you're looking for a more authentic Costa Rican stay, this fits that well.
The grounds are beautiful, and the pool is nice and warm.
The morning breakfast was very good. You get a choice of an American breakfast, and Costa Rican breakfast, or a made to order omelet. All the coffee you can drink, and fresh fruit too!
- Frank (6/5): - The staff was very friendly. Issues with the rooms caused us to relocate twice and the power was shut-off for 8 hours without warning on the last day of our stay.
- Wenda (8/5): - The property was fantastic. Well kept, lots of iguana to watch, pool was clean with lots of shade for the hot afternoons.
I would have hoped for a better bed in the room tho. I could feel the springs! I think a fan would have been nice too as the ac was required, but was too cold at night. We didn’t stay in the cabinas so our room was a nice walk through the beautiful grounds. (Long way to get a cold refreshment while by the pool). A community fridge near the pool would have been top notch ;). The location was great, close to beach, food and entertainment. Would stay again.
- Marie (10/5): - Private. Close to restaurants and beach.
- Kevin (8/5): - The hotel did not honor our reservation request for a king bed claiming that there was no availability. There were very few people at the hotel so we did not understand this problem. Room on the second floor smelled moldy so glad that we ended up with a ground floor room.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - We had an excellent stay. Beautiful, clean, perfect for our family. Staff was friendly. Villa had plenty of space. Pool nice, breakfast tasty. Highly recommend!
- John (10/5): - The staff was so friendly and helpful that minor frustrations disappeared into insignificance.
- kelli (8/5): - Beautiful gardens. Nice rooms . Clean
- Florence (8/5): - Large grounds very beautiful and well kept
Big breakfast
Nice balcony/patio rocking chairs
Friendly staff
Pool pretty good , small but good
- Michelle (2/5): - Hotel very ruined down! Rust all over the fridge , lots of random holes in the wall, old aircon unit in room with holes to outside. Had no hot water for 2 days until they actually fixed it. Would never stay here again
- Samantha (8/5): - Property is really pretty! Doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you get into the grounds, it's lovely. Beds are comfortable enough for a short-term stay. Close to the beach. Breakfast was included. Food in the area is touristy so don't expect much, but we enjoyed walking to Ginger and their food was great for dinner! I only wish the place had chairs for the beach for rent that you could use!
- Rory (4/5): - I booked this property specifically because it says it has a $40 airport shuttle available.
It does not. They were accommodating and arranged a taxi without any issues, but the cost was $60 as opposed to the $40 I expected to spend.
Besides that, the grounds are absolutely spectacular. The pool is nice and quiet. The location is steps away from the beach.
I did not stay in one of the villas, which looked really cute. I was in room 17 at the back of the property which I wouldn't recommend. It's basically a box with a not particularly comfortable bed and doesn't have the nice outdoor seating areas as the other accommodations.
- Brenda (6/5): - We were basically in the very back of property. It didn’t seem full.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice Costa Rica stay - Grounds are beautiful. Room was near back of property without much of a view but was happy to have a bench outside our door. Room was simple but clean with plenty of space. Sheets were a bit too crisp for my liking but I would still stay again. Easy walk to the beach.
- Brian (6/5): Great location, lacking on some amenities. - The location was great and the overall facility seemed OK, but there were issues. Sink and shower that did not drain, the AC unit dripped water into the room suddenly and dramatically overnight. The TV remote did not work. Little stuff that detracted from the experience.
- Androula (2/5): - It is very old hotel. Broken sink, plugged dirty bathroom, small not convinient parking
- James (8/5): - Friendly and helpful staff. Nice location, close to the beach.
- Luisa (4/5): - Very uncomfortable mattress
- john (10/5): - A beautiful room and property
- MATTHEW (6/5): - PROS: Location is good, just a couple of minutes to the beach. Balcony was nice and the room was a good size with cold AC. Property has a lot of character and charm with the exposed wood ceilings and unique villa units. Towels were clean and soft and the room was pretty clean on check-in. Landscaping is being well maintained. There was a newer mini-fridge in the room. Free breakfast was decent although somewhat difficult to order.
CONS: Staff were very friendly and tried their best to help, but this was the only place in Costa Rica we had a major language barrier. Presumably because of this, we got no directions to our room or parking, or WiFi info. Bed Linens were not soft (too much plastic in them) and hot water for the shower didn't work (there is also no hot water at the sinks, which is common). Parking is on-site but requires you to drive back to the main highway, down a bit, and then back down a gravel road. It's a tiny lot with tandem spots so there's a risk you get blocked in or can't open your car door. Our toilet didn't flush but this was fixed on the 2nd day. Note that you can't put toilet paper in the toilets (the only location in CR we encountered this). The hotel restaurant/bar doesn't seem to have reached the critical mass of customers required to offer standard service or drink availability (we couldn't get a vodka soda and the only server left the property after dropping off our canned beers).
For the price, probably wouldn't stay here again.
- Natalia (10/5): - Nice, friendly, safe
- Jennifer (8/5): - Great reception and housekeeping staff. Immaculate property. Very hard mattress. Unusable shower doors off rails. Good water pressure. No washers or dryers.
- Rhoda (10/5): - We stayed in this hotel for couple of nights during the Christmas holiday. Our flight got canceled so our extended 2-day stay in Costa Rica was unplanned. I booked the hotel through Expedia. The Front Desk person was very nice and she was able to check us in even we were an hour early from their check in time. The surroundings and grounds are well kept. Pool is clean and nice. They have iguanas that roams in the acacia trees, which were amusing to watch. There's also plenty of birds and butterflies everywhere. The rooms were very dated, needing major upgrade, but they are clean. The location was great, it's a short walk to the beach! The restaurant in this hotel serves delicious food! We had breakfast (which came with the room) and we also had dinner (great pizza and Angus burger). We will definitely stay in this hotel again. Everyone is super nice, friendly, and the vibe was great!
- Charles (8/5): - Nice place to stay on a limited budget
- paul (8/5): - A great place a few steps from the beach and a comfortable and inexpensive place to stay before our flight from Liberia the next day.
- Vanessa (6/5): - The staff was incredibly friendly but the rooms are VERY dated, we did not have hot water and the bed was extremely hard.
- Mark (6/5): It was just ok. - Bed was almost painful. Breakfast was only 7-9 and because I was there at 6:45 she didn’t even offer me a cup of coffee, very culturally unusual. The whole experience was just ok. Recommended my friend go elsewhere next week.
- Jose (10/5): - Nice and friendly staff
- Luis Diego (8/5): - Amazing service!
- Christina (8/5): - Raymon the gardener was so friendly and pointed out all the animals like owls and iguanas fir me to photograph since I was there taking nature photos. Cindy was awesome in the restaurant. Front desk was so kind and carried my bags up to my room. Only complaint was the pizza which was not very good. There were some raccoons that came by every night around 10 who were digging in the trash and that startled me because they dumped the glass recycling bin over and made a bunch of noise. I let Raymon know and he took care of it immediately.
- Terry (10/5): - We spent the last four days of our vacation here and fell in love with the staff, the breakfast and green iguana that fed in front of our balcony.
- Dawn (6/5): - Hotel was nice and check in was great! I loved the pool. If I stayed again I would stay in the little villas. The room was small and very dark. Good location to the beach and restaurants.
- Ralph (8/5): - Small quiet intimate property, with a nice short walk to the beach.
- Sean (10/5): - We had a great stay here at the end of Semana Santa. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, check in and out was seemless, and the grounds are clean and well-maintained. The included breakfast was absolutely delicious as well. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks to the hotel and staff for the wonderful service!
- Kari (6/5): - Proximity to the beach was nice. The staff was friendly but ran into a problem trying to get my car out of the parking at a very early hour. I'd had asked if there was going to be an issue getting my car out at 5am and they said "no problem security can let you out". I couldn't find anyone via calling or searching until 6 which made me late for the airport. Property was nice enough, room was clean, but my bed was very uncomfortable.
- Luis (6/5): - The hotel needs up keeping, the bedroom light did not work, the bathroom window was missing some parts.
The staff is great and very friendly, but the hotel itself needs work, it looks like it stopped in time (1990's)
- Roman (2/5): - One of the worst rooms I’ve stayed in. Insects were flying and bugs crawling in the room. Terrible.
- Brian (6/5): - Staff was excellent. No hot water in rooms. Our friends room A/C was basically non existent
- Anita (10/5): Restful and handsome architecture, grounds - The Hotel Acacia is an incredibly restful place to stay with lovely gardens and very friendly staff. The architecture of the small villas was great - a kind of Central American - Japanese aesthetic.
- Marie Monique Andree (10/5): - Very friendly staff and service. Great breakfast included in price. Lovely quiet pool area. Beautiful grounds.
- Jillian (6/5): - Room was clean and staff was very friendly, however the rooms/property need a major upgrade. They do not look anything like the pictures online.
- Eugen Dumitru (4/5): - The location is good, very close to the beach.
Very noisy room. I had to change my first room because it was dirty and smelt awful.
- Hemant (2/5): - Breakfast was great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great little hotel! - The staff were great! Rooms and common areas very clean and pleasant. Nice breakfast and good pizza! Good value for money! Would stay here if I’m in Playa Hermosa again - without a doubt!
- beverly (10/5): - Amazingly welcoming, accommodating, friendly staff. Felt right at home immediately. The room was very clean but basic. Beautiful well kept property ... wonderful gardens and pool. Great breakfast. Short walk to a wonderful beach. In short paradise.
- Holly (10/5): - We stayed there for 2 nights and we really loved it! Everyone is extremely nice! We enjoyed the breakfast and beach is just a few minutes walk! Not very many restaurants open but it is such a quiet peaceful place. There are more restaurants and shops just a few minutes drive from there so it’s still pretty convenient! Would come back here!
- Niger (10/5): - Excelente atención por el personal, muy atentos a colaborar y hacerlo sentir a gusto. Cómodo, seguro y tranquilo. A pocos metros de la playa.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was such a cute property. Friendly staff and nice room...
- Michael (10/5): A real bargain - My stay was wonderful. The hotel upgraded my room. Beautiful garden view and spacious.
This hotel is a three minute walk to Playa Hermosa which one of the nicer beaches I have found in Costa Rica.
The pool was very nice.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Delicious breakfast, very clean all the place including the room and excellent customer service🤗
- Shane P. (10/5): Love Hermosa! - We had a great 3 day stay at Hotel Acacia. Staff is friendly, grounds and rooms are clean looked good. Hermosa is an awesome beach and a close walk as well. The breakfast was very tasty...and not just because it was free. Parking was secure. Our only complaint is that the bed in our supreme room was a bargain bed....really hard and could fee through springs. If they fix that, I would give them 5 stars across the board
- Veronica P (10/5): Great Place to Stat, Villa Acacia in Playa Hermosa - Property is very close to the beach, walking distance about 2 blocks. Restaurant was clean & food was deliscious. Service was very good birh at front desk & at restaurant. Free parking.
- Moreofacamper (10/5): - Lovely garden property only a short walk to the beach. Many properties I. Hermosa Beach are a further walk and it was very hot weather.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - So close to the beach and had nice grounds. The rooms were fine and a nice area to walk around.
- Dana (4/5): - When you book online, the photos make it out to be that you have your own little cabin. Some with more beds and a small kitchen.
I was traveling alone so I booked a standard single room. With taxes and fees it came out to $220 for two nights.
When I arrived the sign looked outdated. Beach towels cost $15 each. I checked in and was given my room key #10.
A staff member met me in the centre near the pool. The gardens looked well manicured and the cabins appeared cute from the exterior.
I was to follow him to my unit. It turns out that they also have a very basic building around the corner past the gardens which doubles as the parking garage.
The man helped me carry my suitcase up the stairs to the second floor to room #10. It was a small box, with one tiny window that faced the garage, a mini fridge, but no microwave or coffee maker.
There really wasn’t much for storage space either (no closet). But the worst thing was that it wreaked like a public bathroom.
I sat on the bed, pretty shocked at how low grade this room was. I also noticed that the mattress was really cheap or old and uncomfortable. It had no type of topper on it and even squeaked.
I went downstairs and the woman at the front desk said that I could be shown two more rooms as options. Meanwhile I noticed that the place was practically vacant. I chose the room with a better bed and no smell but it was over the garage (loud) and faced construction.
An Airbnb’s for $35/night is better.
