- Patricia (8/5): Lovely stay. - Our stay was lovely. Staff readily available, and anything we needed was catered for. The food was delicious and well presented. It's a nice atmosphere and would definitely recommend this place. Although we didn't need to make a complaint to the staff, the choice and positions of the electrical socket outlets could be improved.

- Julia (10/5): Best stay I have had in a very long time! - I travel all over for work and have also worked in hotels and restaurants in the past which makes me appreciate when things are good as i know the effort involved but I can also be the worst critic when basics are not met, however from start to finish the staff we're kind, courteous and professional, the room was lovely, the restaurant food was delicious, even the pub customers were polite as it must ensure the required standard. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again when I am in the area. A special mention to Sam who went over and above however all the staff we encountered were lovely and hard working from arrival to a delicious breakfast upon departure. I have nothing negative to say.

- Neil (8/5): Very good - Lovely location with good food. Room was large with fan on upon my arrival. The bed was massive and very comfortable. Plenty of parking. I had two emails after booking stating that because of the location of my room, I was getting a reduced rate to that originally quoted. When I queried this with the staff, they said it had been sent in error. Sadly, the wifi wasn't working during my visit. No tea bags in my room.
- Vikki (9/5): Superb - Super easy check in
Beautiful rooms
Comfy beds
Nice homely touches in the room which was spacious
Stunning Views from the room of local countryside
Fresh cooked food in the restaurant which was delicious

- Serena (10/5): Exceptional - Food very good, generous portions.
Unusual thing - shown an emergency phone near room with “what three words” in case we were taken ill and needed to call an ambulance- very reassuring!
Decor / ambiance lovely traditional English country pub. Nothing!
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ebou (10/5): Amazing - Very welcoming team at the Staunton, top class service from start to finish would highly recommend.
- Burrows (9/5): Overnight stay at the Staunton Arms - Food was exceptional. Staff so friendly. Room very comfortable. Perfect stay.
- Tim (9/5): Good value and comfortable country inn with rooms - Good sized bedroom with extra wide double bed. Pillows were a tad disappointing (a bit solid for me but I appreciate that is a personal preference). Bathroom small but fully functional. We booked this place as one of the only pubs with rooms in the area that catered on Sunday evening, and what catering it was! A very generous roast beef dinner with loads of vegetables and a delicious gravy was enjoyed by both of us. All the staff were excellent and welcoming. The service at breakfast was just as good as the night before. Overall good value for money. It is in the middle of nowhere although only 5/6 miles from Grantham. This might not suit some people, but it was fine for us after a 4 hour thrash down the A1 from Northumberland.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neil (9/5): This is a lovely country pub with accommodation - Really good super king size bed. Spacious room with excellent on suite.
Lovely restaurant meal in the evening The room by the kitchen can be a bit noisy
Breakfast was slow due to walk ins delaying service of staying guests
- Penny (8/5): A good country pub with rooms, it is obviously trying very hard, super helpful and welcoming staff. - A good location, pleasant friendly staff. Well Done. We would stay again if in the area. The TV did not work very well and the bacon at breakfast had been cooked earlier that morning and was dry.
- Marg (9/5): Excellent - Country location, breakfast and dinner, staff everything was great. All was good.
- Bickley (8/5): Very good -
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were excellent
- Paul (10/5): A good experience, happy to recommend The Staunton and will be staying there again - all good, Julian was very helpful and polite Maybe an armchair/ comfy chair in the bedroom
- Peace (9/5): Superb - The ambience and friendliness of staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely old world charm with modern facilities. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Nothjng
- Janice (6/5): Pleasant -
- Val (10/5): A wonderful few days. - Breakfast excellent. The fruit was fresh and there was a good choice. We only had one dinner during our stay and that was excellent. No stinting on the portions. The room was very clean, lovely large shower with plenty of water power and the beds very clean and comfortable. I turned 82 during my stay and would have liked a hand rail in the shower. I'm used to one at home and I think it would be good to have one installed in the shower at the Staunton Arms. It makes older people feel more confident in showers.
- Gaynor (9/5): Would return, and would recommend. - Knowing I was arriving late the receptionist rang to ask if I would like a sandwich making , also asked what I would like for breakfast, upon arrival I was given a very warm welcome, shown to my room and provided with the most amazing robust sandwich on granary bread as promised.
Bed was comfortable, room clean, additional fan and radiator provided in room , toiletries are provided, beautiful countryside view from window. Quiet village location.
- Gary (8/5): I’ll be back for sure - Everything and more that I wanted. Clean, amazing breakfast and the most beautiful area
- Nicola (8/5): Very good -
- Nick (9/5): We stayed here for 1 night when attending a friends birthday party locally. Great pub with exceptional food and very fri - Great food and welcoming staff. Very helpful!
- Bailey (10/5): Exceptional - Staff were the jewel in the crown. Good breakfast and great that it was included in the price. Shower was also excellent!
- Lynn (9/5): Superb -
- Hugh (10/5): Brilliant. - Friendly staff, clean nice decorated modern warm rooms, very comfortable bed and very good food including the breakfast. For once there was a menu for vegans/vegetarians which I tried and it was really good food.We would definitely go back if we are in the area again. Highly recommend it. It was good value. Nothing could not fault it at all.
- Jo (7/5): Good - Great place Vege breakfast was a bit small
- David (10/5): Exceptional - The service very friendly nothing too much trouble fabulous food a great place to stay for our Christmas treat we will definitely be back and many thanks to all the staff happy new year There was nothing to dislike
- Alison (6/5): Good enough but could be great with a few improvements - we stayed in the cottage round the corner which was spacious and very scenic with lots of land and overlooking a lake. Decor in the actual cottage was nice. we ate lunch in the pub and the food was delicious overall. We didn't have breakfast. Operation of the hot tub and sauna (wood fired) wasn't explained particularly well - we were lucky that the actual owner of the cottage lives behind it and happened to be in his garden - he helped us out a lot with getting the hot tub and sauna hot enough, including giving us kindling which hadn't been provided. Way more wood was required to be piled on to get everything hot enough to use, than the staff at the pub had mentioned. I get that the wood element is probably more sustainable (?) but keeping a fire going all night just to be able to use the hot tub meant we couldn't really relax and enjoy. It also felt like some basic things were missing from the cottage e.g. tea towels.
- Penelope (8/5): Quiet cosy country pub - Friendly, quiet country pub. Food was good and plentiful, for us anyway. Beer and drink selection was good. The only thing we thought that could be improved a bit was in the bar area, where a spring clean wouldn't go amiss, then again it's a country pub foremost, not a swanky hotel and it was perfect for our needs.
- Jamie (10/5): Really nice property, great food, great beer 👌 - Everything Nothing
- Jonathan (8/5): Very good -
