- peter (8/5): Lovely host and house, just the stairs. - Breakfast very good. Stairs up and down to go bathroom. Requested bath, but if known so many steps, would have had ensuite. My knees bad.
- Anita (8/5): Northumberland - The couple where really welcoming. Breakfast was great. Always helpful if you need anything different. The stairs were tricky for us .wasn't happy with the Attic room as the bathroom was down a flight of stairs. Was a bit cold at times .you need slippers with you as no shoes in the house.

She very kindly kept the breakfast bar open so that we could eat before we left. I would thoroughly recommend. Nothing, all good.

Great hosts and we booked the ensuite room which was very clean and comfy - the other room is not ensuite but has a private bathroom that's on a different floor.
Excellent breakfast. Broomhill doesn't seem to have a local pub or restaurant so you'll need to drive somewhere.
Note that you are staying with the hosts in their house that may be unusual for some folks.

- helen (9/5): Believe all the excellent reviews - One of the nicest B&Bs I’ve stayed in & one of the best breakfasts. Steve & Lesley were excellent hosts The ONLY thing was the stairs down into the Grey Room were slightly uneven in height & caught us out on occasion
- Anne (10/5): - I had a fantastic stay at The Bridges B&B. The hosts were wonderful, so friendly, which was lovely for someone, like me, travelling alone.
The room was spotless with little touches such as different types of tea on offer and a chocolate treat on the bedside table. Breakfast was lovely too.
It was a perfect location to explore the wonderful Northumberland area.

The room was beautifully decorated and the bed extremely comfortable. It's nice and quiet at night. There is an en suite bathroom, and the hosts provided tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Everything has been thought of for a comfortable stay. A cooked breakfast is included and it was absolutely delicious. Nothing.

La camera è carina e c’è tutto il necessario, viene pulita ogni giorno. Parcheggio gratuito. Lo consigliamo per una visita nel Northumberlan. La posizione un po’ distante dai ristoranti.

Wonderful breakfast with great attention to detail. Parking a bit tricky. Ensuite light switch was unpredictable.
- Darren (10/5): Exceptional - The B&B was spotless and well looked after, with a really cosy and comfortable feel throughout. The owner was absolutely lovely – so welcoming, down to earth, and genuinely easy to talk to. She went out of her way to make me feel at home and was incredibly friendly from the moment I arrived. What really stood out though was her cooking – the breakfast was absolutely spot on, one of the best I’ve had on my cycling trips! Big thanks from the cyclist who pedalled all the way from Edinburgh back to Durham – this was the perfect stop along the way.” Nothing
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - The small b+b was probably the most homely I've ever stayed in. Very clean and tidy. Hosts very helpful and cheery. Very knowledgeable about the location and provided details and recommendations for local establishments for evening meals in nearby harbour of Amble. Breakfast was very good and had alot of options. Getting into the parking at the rear was a little tight.

- Elizabeth (8/5): A good base for Amble and the coast. - Warm welcome from hosts who were helpful
With luggage and local information. Delicious breakfast. Convenient off street parking. Short drive to local
towns and attractions. Beautifully clean. It wasn’t clear on booking that the private bathroom is located on a different floor to the bedroom.
- Gary (10/5): - Owners were very friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and spacious, and breakfast was delicious… Highly Recommend!
- Ian (10/5): Lovely welcome and superb hosts in a rural setting - Location was perfect. Quiet and away from the maddening crowds. Very comfortable and wanted for nothing. Having to use a separate bathroom but that was highlighted.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly welcome , room was lovely spotlessly clean lovely selection of teas and chocolate treats breakfast was delicious would highly recommend Could not fault anything
- Neil (10/5): - When we first arrived at the property in an old mining village, we thought, 'oh'. However,
the small frontage gave way to a lovely bandb, beautifully and carefully decorated with a very cosy, welcoming feel.
Steve and Lesley made us feel extremely welcome and Steve's cooked breakfast was delicious
- Sara (10/5): Wonderful hosts, who went out of their way to ensure that we had a lovely stay. - The lovely welcome. Our bikes were secured well. Breakfast was exeptional! Comfortable and spacious bedroom.
- Angelika (10/5): Lovely - Very lovely, welcoming hosts, room small but had everything we needed (and more), very clean, very comfortable bed, exceptional breakfast. Location ok for a one-night stay on our Northumberland tour. Drove into Warkworth for dinner (ten minutes drive). Would not hesitate to book again. Thank you for your amazing hospitality, Leslie and Steve :) Nothing
- Stephanie (10/5): Overall I was very happy with the Bridges B&B and would definitely stay again. - The Bridges B&B was very clean and our room was lovely. Lesley and Steve couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Lesley even ironed my dress and filled an ice bucket for my wine! The breakfast was also delicious with a good selection. Bed was very comfy and room was well stocked with different teas (including herbal) and coffee and even some biscuits. The only downside was the location. Broomhill is a bit out of the way, it's a very quiet village. We did however venture to Amble which is about 3 miles away and our hosts kindly advised us of an hrly bus service and the bus stop was just around the corner.
- Gary (10/5): Highly recommended - Lesley and Steve were wonderful hosts. The house is beautiful. Lesley provided us with an excellent breakfast with so much variety
- Alison (10/5): A friendly and welcoming B and B which I would thoroughly recommend. - The hosts were so friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. - Constance (10/5): Really welcoming, comfortable and spotlessly clean. - I had a lovely stay at The Bridges B&B. I couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome and my room was beautiful - spotlessly clean and really comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and I really appreciated the hosts' suggestion of visiting the nearby beaches, which were stunning. Nothing.
- Pamrawlinson (10/5): Exceptional - Welcoming hosts, comfortable clean and nicely decorated room, excellent choice of breakfast.
- Michelle (10/5): Wonderful B&B in a quiet area - Where to start. We stayed at The Bridges for five nights and it was simply lovely. Lesley and Steve were very warm and welcoming from when we arrived to leaving, they really looked after us, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was immaculate, comfortable and quiet. We had fresh bedding and towels provided every day. The room was decorated beautifully and the bed was very comfortable. There was a lot of attention to detail, little chocolates left on the bedside tables and interesting tea varieties, there was a handy little jar in the bathroom with cotton buds etc, etc. My partner has lactose intolerance and he was provided with lactose-free milk every day. We were served a selection of a fresh cooked breakfast along with freshly brewed coffee, fruit, yoghurt, toast and homemade jams. Everything was just wonderful. Lesley and Steve are some of the loveliest hosts we've met and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. On the last few mornings we were surprised with a special treat of "overnight oats" for breakfast.
Steve and Lesley were also extremely knowledgeable of the area and its history and were very helpful with suggestions of places to go see and where to eat. There are plenty of lovely restaurants and places in nearby Amble and there is a lovely pub restaurant in Widdrington. We were never short of places to go and visit. The castles and beaches are stunning but we now know how lucky we are to have found The Bridges as our chosen place to stay. As well as parking at the rear, just a few minutes walk away, there are several bus routes in different directions which was an added bonus. It is situated in a very quiet area and was perfect for accessing the places we visited. I would highly recommend staying at The Bridges B&B and would recommend at least 3 nights here to explore especially if you haven't been before.
- Annette (10/5): Great hospitality! - We had a fabulous time at the Bridges B&B. Lesley was the perfect host, so friendly and helpful we immediately felt it was home from home. The interior was like a boutique hotel, beautifully decorated and tastefully furnished. It was very comfortable, Steve and Lesley had thought of everything. The breakfasts were also excellent, Lesley went the extra mile to ensure I had something suitable for IBS. She really was so thoughtful and we really appreciated it.
- Sheridan (10/5): A most enjoyable stay. Would certainly recommend The Bridges and would look to booking again. - The full English breakfast and fruit salad with cereals and yoghurt were first class. Generous in portions and served at a well set out table. Plenty of tea/coffee and toast. Fantastic. Our bedroom was well appointed, very comfortable and we slept very well. Lesley and Steve are great hosts and make you very welcome. Nothing was to much trouble. Nothing.
- Ian (10/5): - Very friendly and hosts .
- Arthur (8/5): Very good - Excellent breakfast . Charming hosts who made us feel very welcome and comfortable There was nothing to dislike
- Simon (10/5): - Great service and very friendly, would definitely recommend.
- James (10/5): i would recommend staying there to anyone visiting the area - Lesley and Steve are the perfect hosts with nothing to much trouble ,the breakfast was excellent well cooked and a varied choice there was nothing not to like
- Lynda (10/5): Very enjoyable stay, highly recommended. - Good location, very warm welcome from hosts, very good room facilities, excellent breakfast.
- Keith (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Excellent stopping point - We liked the comfortable bed, which was a proper double. The bathroom is ensuite and spacious, accessed by climbing a couple of steps up inside the bedroom which gives a sense of separation. Some extra touches for a comfortable stay including toiletries and plug sockets by the headboard. Breakfast was excellent, and the community aspect of a main table was enjoyable. Easy on pavement parking directly outside the property. Quiet location, but a good stopping point for further travels.
- Dehila (8/5): Lovely small B&B with a nice breakfast - Comfortable B&B with pleasant decor throughout. Host was very kind and catered for my gluten free requirements at breakfast. The King room was lovely but watch for the beams if you are tall. And the bathroom, though private, was one floor down and not lockable from the outside so anyone could also use it. But robes were provided for privacy and the bathroom was large and very clean.
- Christina (9/5): A Hidden Gem in Broomhill - Steven is a wonderful host! Our breakfast was delicious and the King size bedroom was very cosy and comfortable. Whilst Broomhill may look out of the way, it is very central to many towns and attractions on the NE coast.
- Janine (8/5): Very good - Very friendly owners. The bathroom for the loft room is on a separate floor and awkward if you need the loo during the night. And the stairs. It is in the house where the owners reside, who are lovely but be aware that they also live in the house.
- Ian (10/5): Great place to stay - Great B&B and really friendly
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional - Good breakfast, comfortable bed.
- Julia (9/5): Very comfortable and friendly BnB - Lesley and Steve were very welcoming hosts, and the accommodation was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and they were able to give me some great recommendations for dinner nearby.
- Stephen (10/5): Home from home - Excellent host welcomed us into their home breakfast was perfect would recommend to friends and family
- Karl (10/5): A perfect B & B with very friendly owners - Breakfast was wonderful, everything very clean and tidy Nothing
- Robert (10/5): Lovely place to stay but a really quiet area - It was a really beautiful accommodation and Leslie and Steve were very friendly
Breakfast was excellent There was quite a draft from the built in cupboard and as it was a chilly morning there was no heating to warm the room and it made the towels feel damp
- Clare (10/5): Short stay in B&B near Amble - We were given a very warm welcome by Lesley and Steve. Our room with king-size bed was lovely, quiet, very clean and the bed very comfortable. We had exclusive use of a large bathroom. Lesley had provided many thoughtful additions to our room such as a good selection of teas, bedside chocolates, and dressing gowns to use. We had an excellent choice for breakfast, including continental and cooked breakfast and everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The décor was cheerful and welcoming. Last of all, the location was perfect to visit Amble, Warkworth, Alnwick, Alnmouth and - if we had been staying longer - many other beautiful places in Northumberland. An en-suite bathroom with the king bedroom might have been a plus, but we noted that there is also a double room with en-suite available.
