- Samantha (10/5): Amazing stay - Our stay was nothing short of excellent. It was an amazing location, very handy for all the walks you could possibly want to do. The staff are incredible - they love dogs which was always a bonus - Rolo loved them! They were friendly and gave such amazing service - the female manager was so great. The breakfast was so nice - lovely bacon and sausages and the burgers and cakes in the glass cabinet were incredible! We will come back without a doubt.

Owners cook breakfast for you in the morning and are friendly and helpful with advice on things to see in the area. Food and beer at the bar was great. Quiet and peaceful area to spend some time in and see the area.

- NA (10/5): Amazing Food and service. - The room was basic, but very clean and the shower is powerful and hot. Food was amazing for evening meal, and breakfast was outstanding. Staff friendly and helpful, and very polite. In a great location, but is on a busy main road.
- Joshua (6/5): - The room was as you would expect for the money. The major disappointment was the lack of a blind for the skylight which meant the room was very light until quite late and then again from early, a nightmare for trying to get children to sleep.
- Thomas (4/5): - Friday limited staff food finished at 7:00 pm. Hotel Alarm at 5am on Saturday morning. Staff did not have a fire drill, and were untrained. Saturday Evening no food as they ran out of gas. Sunday morning only veg breakfast was scrambled eggs on toast as the Chef had gone to the football. Rooms are mouldy and unclean. No mattress protectors. As a walkers pub it is brilliant but staying overnight is a very different experience.
- Candice (6/5): - Very friendly staff but the room was a bit dirty. Cobwebs hangin from the ceiling and dirty around the base of the shower. There was also a light missing from the ceiling in the bathroom and the hole left from this was full of cobwebs.
- David (10/5): - Fantastic location for exploring Ladybower Reservoir, nice quiet accommodation with a super comfy bed and spacious room. The food was excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. Love the fact it was very dog friendly too with dog food and treats on sale at the bar too being a nice touch. Only stayed one night, next time we hope to stay longer.

- Verified traveler (10/5): An all round great location - The pub is right next to Lady Bower Reservoir and makes a great location to either drive to places such as Edale, Castleton or to walk straight from. We walked from the pub in the morning up to Bamford Edge. The view in the morning just makes you feel great. The service is very good. For the price, the hotel rooms were great, being clean, relatively spacious and nicely laid out. We had a family room and there was a double bed and 2 singles, no strange surprises when we got there (which happens sometimes with family rooms, like 2 double beds or a sofa bed). The pub itself was splendid. The food was good, (in particular the pie, the soup and the breakfast in the morning). The beer was good and the staff were really friendly and made you feel at home. We’d definitely go back again and look forward to it. I think it’s going to be a regular place now as we’ve tired of the unpredictable nature of camping outside of the summer months!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Friendly and helpful staff but noisy - I have no fault with the staff, the location or the general facilities of the hotel. You can literally walk up a bridleway from the hotel layby onto the moors and the reservoirs are close by.The problem was with difficulty getting to sleep. The hand dryer from the pub toilets was noticeable and all through the night there were cars being driven fast past the hotel, presumably to race up the Snake Pass. This was not helped by the relatively short distance to the traffic lights leading to lots of loud standing starts and heavy acceleration through the gears as vehicles passed the hotel.
- Ailish (10/5): Great weekend - Very friendly and welcoming staff, service at meal times was amongst the best we’ve experienced and the food v good as well with some really varied menu choices. Perfect location to explore the wilderness of the Dark Prak.
- Terri (8/5): Accommodation tired,staff amazing,food sensational - Overall had an okay stay. The accommodation was a little tired and the room we were in was very close to a very busy road. I had to get up 3 times in the night to close an exterior door as people kept leaving it open and the traffic noise was very loud. The other guests were not very repsectful, stomping up stairs and banging doors. The service in the inn was exceptional, the ladies were very friendly nothing too much trouble, the food was amazing. Breakfast was a must, do not miss this.

- Karissa (10/5): Amazing Inn - Our stay at the Ladybower Inn was great. After a 22km hike, the Inn was right off a public footpath which was convenient and checkin was also swift. We had a lovely little view of the reservoir from our room. Staff are very nice and friendly, and we really enjoyed dinner + an amazing selection of breakfast!

- Michael (10/5): Great little base for exploring the area - Lovely Little inn with nice friendly staff who will do their upmost to cater for you. Great base for those all year round hikes/walks or just visting the historic villages. Plenty of history in the area and things to do close by to keep you entertained. Rooms are basic but very comfortable and pet friendly. Great Lovely home cooked food all in all very nice and pleasant place to stay. I will be returning for a 4th time soon . Thank you to all the staff.

Some surfaces in room are not cleaned regularly. Bedding and towels clean. Good shower, but in need of new floor and tiles in bathroom. Beds comfy. Food ok in pub.

- Mike (10/5): - A nice 3 day stay while working at a nearby cement works, but with a friend who enjoyed the area while walking. Staff were so friendly, great breakfasts and big thanks to the manager Lars who was the barman when we arrived too late for the chef, but went above that duty and cooked us a lovely fish-n-chip supper.

- Michael (6/5): - Not cleaned properly. Drink and chocolate ifrom previous guest in the wardrobe and empty biscuit wrappers behind bed side table. On check in was simply given a key. Had to go back to check on parking to be told I need to enter details on a tablet in the bar. Surely this should be explained at check in! As should the WiFi log in! Though was told not to bother with WiFi by the barmaid as she said it was rubbish. She was correct. Very dark at front door of room 6. Had to use phone light to unlock!

Disappointed watching how a member of staff coughed, then proceeded to pick up a knife by its tip and place it into the cutlery basket on a table. Very off-putting but also, it's not very hygienic to have cutlery with the eating side up in baskets on tables for everyone to touch and sneeze over! Our room had a skylight window with no blind over it. It was impossible to cover it with anything due to its sloping nature. A poor night's sleep followed. Also duvets are heavy and poor quality. Wi-Fi not good.

- PennyJo (6/5): Economic hotel in good location - Hotel amenities were basic, but for a budget hotel had everything I required. It is located at the gateway to the resovoir so a couple of good views. There were quite a few spiders and flies in my ground floor room, and the window happened fully was a bit of a security concern. The main access does to the rooms was across from mine and I had to close it numerous times as others left it open otherwise I could hear everything from the main road and pub- I also was woken up a couple of time by other guests asking how to open the locked exit door as they couldn't get out! (They hadn't turned the knob fully!). Other than that it was comfortable and suited my needs

- Keith (10/5): Conveniently Located In Peak District - The Ladybower Inn is conveniently located in the Peak District and a wonderful base of operations for all that we wanted to do in that region. The service provided by the staff was exceptional as they worked very hard to meet our needs. We enjoyed the food in the pub. Our room was comfortable.
