The staff provide outstanding customer service and are always so helpful and knowledgeable. They go the extra mile to make sure your stay is comfortable and meets expectations, and exceeds them! The breakfast is excellent and always has a wide variety to choose from. The rooms are so clean and comfortable. I always stay here when I am in the area for business travel.
- kelliea453 (10/5): great hotel and service - very nice hotel accomodations
- Nicole (7/5): We all slept well, which was the most important factor during our family road trip. - Quiet location. Nearby Italian/pizza restaurant had excellent pasta. Hotel needs a refresh/update of decor, paint, carpet, and furniture.

I am always very pleased with the cleanliness of the room's and the friendliness of the staff.. The rooms are very spacious..
I was pleasantly surprise to see that they have a lounge, fully stocked bar, and the marketplace has many choices for food to purchase.
We will definitely be staying at Cobblestone again.
- H6938SGmaureenb (10/5): Always a Great Stay - Our son lives nearby and when we visit we always choose the Paxton Cobblestone Hotel. One of our favorites. The hotel is always immaculate and the staff is so friendly.
- Smith (9/5): - Nice place. Definitely will go back if staying in the area again. Clean, beds were comfortable, soap, shampoo, and conditioner was great as well. Didn't have to use what I brought. Check in staff was friendly,, attentive, and informative. First morning for breakfast, we got done there with over an hour before breakfast was over. No eggs and one piece of bacon. No coffee. The lady was stocking the cabinets and not worried about anyone eating. She was NOT friendly either. I am from the south so I may just be expecting too much. She had made the coffee but didn't bring it out. I wasn't going to ask for it. She was obviously busy stocking the cabinets. One guy did. She did bring it out. She never spoke or anything. It was like she was bothered. Maybe she was having a bad day. I didn't have any other interactions with anyone else..
- James (10/5): Great place - good value!! - Comfortable hotel. Friendly staff. Great place. Nothing!!
- thomasfU8182HB (10/5): Nice place to stop. - Nice room, quiet, well maintained, staff very cordial. Well insulated. Very good matress and hvac. Priced reasonabe. Very good breakfast. Much better than the last 2 H*******ns we have stayed in.
- Nichole (10/5): -
- jenniek614 (10/5): Do it - We checked in late with a very friendly staff member. The room was nice and comfortable clean. The amenities were nice and breakfast had a decent variety.
- 213normar (8/5): Great, clean, hidden gem - This was a great little place that we needed during a snow blizzard. We were all ready driving up feom NOLA due to our flight being cancelled, and when we hit Cobblestone, we were certainly glad we did, after already a 10hr drive. The place was nice and clean, friendly service, and we were so glad they still had rooms at almost 3am! My ONLY complaint, was no elevator, so we had to carry a big luggage up a flight a stairs, not a biggie, but at 3am, definitely wished we had it. Would go back again.
- Renee (8/5): A nice option for an overnight in Paxton - The location was convenient for us. We had a nice view of the cornfields. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was OK. We liked sitting out on the patio feeling the sunrise on our backs even though it was chilly. The fitness center is very small but luckily we were the only ones using it. It would be hard if several people were there at the same time.
- Lillian (10/5): Enjoyed my stay - Worth every penny!
- Marian (10/5): Was good - We enjoyed our stay here, the service was great and the room was clean.
- Carolina (10/5): Very good - We enjoyed our stay here, the service was great and the room was clean.
- Erik (10/5): -
- Richard (10/5): - All good
- 971jeniferh (10/5): Wedding shower was a hit! - This is our favorite place to stay when we go back 'home' to visit family and friends! Very clean and staff is helpful and friendly. We hosted a wedding shower here and it worked out great!
- Jessica (10/5): - Great place, would stay again!
- V165UNjenniferr (10/5): Clean and spacious room - Good location, right off the express way. Town of Paxton has a Monical's pizza which is good pizza. Hotel has a small lobby and bar. Very clean. Everything you need including a microwave and small fridge in the room.
- Linda (8/5): -
- Sheilla (10/5): -
- Darrell (10/5): No Disappointments - It was everything we expected and the convenience to our venue in Gibson City was fantastic.
- Beverly (10/5): - Cleanliness, great Staff, NO SMOKING (at lease we couldn't smell any) and quiet, all the amenities.
- Brian (10/5): - Decent overall
- Richard (2/5): - I think I have two reservations. How do I cancel one?
- Eugene (10/5): - relaxing night and breakfast in the morning
- LoriKedo (10/5): Convenient and Helpful Staff - The front desk was very accomodating. The room was clean and quiet. It was convenient for us to stay prior to an early morning appointment in a near by town.
- Bill and Sue (6/5): - Everything was fine, you could see the cleanliness. My only qualms were the pillows were awful, and $234 was a lot for a simple room. I do understand in this day and age, they need to meet their expenses, but if it wasn’t so close to. Wedding, I wouldn’t have picked it due to the price.
- Karen (9/5): Good over night stop - Great spot just off the freeway for an overnight. Not like those scary looking hotels you often find just off the freeway. Nicely lit, clean, friendly welcome, good sized room. Very pleased with the stop. A lot of outside noise, suggest ear plugs. No elevator - not an issue for us (I knew going in), make sure you request ground floor if you can't climb stairs.
- Aaron (9/5): -
- N9989VHsheilad (10/5): Half Century Farm Show Trip - Dawn was an amazing host. Made out stay very enjoyable. Didn't get to see Natalie, but my cousin Dorothy Gunter sends her a "hello!"
- Dale (10/5): -
- Passport62180282312 (10/5): Approve! - Impressed with the accomodations, cleanliness & staff. Pleasantly unexpected from a small town hotel.
Only complaint being the 100 character minimum for this review box.
- carrien645 (10/5): Great Experience - Overall a great experience! Room was clean and well stocked. Rented the 2 room king suite. The pull out bed mattress could be replaced as it was getting pretty terrible. My kids slept there. Pool had sand on the bottom, which isn't a huge deal to me or my kids.
Again overall a great experience. Hotel staff were amazing, and kind.
- LAURA (10/5): - Friendly service and clean.
- aaronhN9881SN (10/5): Great stay - Very nice stay! The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. It was a perfect location for my trip. Close to the areas I needed to go in Paxton.
- Ron (10/5): - Nice property and clean rooms
- John (8/5): - Ok light bulb out! Damp smell when we came in. Overall a very good place to stay except in the summer on weekends when they jack the prices up to $275 because of sports complex down the road at Rantoul. Otherwise $115. The motel itself is fine
- Miriana (10/5): -
- Kimberly (10/5): Quiet, relaxing and right off the interstate. - It was very close to the interstate. However it was super quiet and relaxing…and clean. I think the price was a little higher than I would have expected.
- LAURA (10/5): - Great service
- Tynagh (10/5): - Clean. Staff was helpful in switching bus to the first floor
- Rodrigo (10/5): Great place for reasonable price - I liked that it was well kept and seemed very clean. The Hotel is right by the exit going towards Gibson City which is where I came down to do some work. I recommend this facility.
- Z6584FCjenniferg (10/5): Definitely will stay again! - The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, it was quiet, the rooms were spacious and the bed and pillows were very comfortable!
- Kara (8/5): It was a comfortable, basic hotel lacking an elevator. - The rooms were clean and comfortable. The lack of elevator!!!!
Breakfast: they did not replenish hot items quickly enough which made guests have to wait quite a while to get them. The staff did not answer the phones when we called. The rooms were way too expensive for how basic they were. No basic toiletries provided other than soap, shampoo and conditioner (no lotion, shower caps, cotton, q-tips, etc.)
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Front desk lady needs serious retraining on how the computer system works
- Neal (8/5): Very good -
- Russell (8/5): Very good -
- Jen (8/5): Traveling to a graduation - We were a little surprised to find there wasn’t an elevator, but we don’t mind the extra steps—exercise is always a plus!
However, I did want to share some honest feedback about our check-in experience. When we arrived, the front desk staff member, Nicole, came across as a bit short with us. Later, when our daughter went down to request two extra pillows, she was met with a dismissive response: “Did you not find them?” There were only two pillows in the room, and we simply needed a couple more to feel comfortable during our stay. As guests, we expect a welcoming attitude, and unfortunately, her demeanor didn’t reflect that. It felt like she didn’t want to be there.
That said, the rest of the staff we interacted with during our stay were wonderful—friendly, respectful, and helpful.
One more note: we stayed in a suite with a king bed and sofa bed. The sofa bed could definitely use an upgrade—it felt like we were sleeping directly on the springs.
Thank you for taking the time to consider our feedback.
- Cory (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anup (2/5): - Complained about the ac not working and nothing was done. There was no bread for breakfast. Housekeeping had done a pathetic job of cleaning the rooms.
I asked for a partial refund before checking out and no word on that.
The staff was courteous but that doesn’t help with bad service. While I was checking out there was a maintenance guy there to fix the ac of the room we were staying in so they clearly knew the ac in room 122 wasn’t working. But they completely ignored and didn’t even log the complaint.
- Srinivasarao (8/5): Very good -
- Amy (10/5): - Very friendly staff. Clean rooms. The only change would be softer pillows. A little too thick for us.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- M2217VUpattyc (8/5): Cozy Stay at Cobblestone Hotel - My family and I recently stayed at the Cobblestone Hotel for 3 nights. We were intown visiting family in Paxton. It was really nice to have a clean, new, convenient, affordable hotel option in town. We enjoyed our stay and will plan to stay again on our next visit to Paxton.
- Tony (10/5): - Very clean hotel. Nice continental breakfast.
- ANNA (10/5): - 35 min drive from UIUC, but the room was quiet, comfortable and very clean. I will keep it on my list of hotels to keep in mind for my visits to UIUC.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very noisy. Can hear conversation in next room and people above us.
- Kristie (10/5): Exceptional -

- 407brandis (10/5): Exceeded our expectations - Our visit was for a travel softball tournament. The reasonable price allowed us to stay for 2 nights for the price of 1 at the other places. Everyone was so accommodating and made our stay perfect. The pool malfunctioned after our 1st night, they had it back up and running before that next afternoon.
- Ariel (7/5): Good -
- Kristie (10/5): Exceptional -
- bm_beaupre65 (10/5): nearly perfect stay 4.5*/5 - I loved this place. we all most stayed elsewhere in town but I decided why not, we can go swimming. the place looks new, The pool was comfortably cool. The continental breakfast was standard. the room was nice. we had plenty of towels, the staff were plesant also...
ok, so I don't sound like an advertisement ...
1) when we arrived there was no one at front counter, there was a phone that rang in the back but no one was around. we waited 10 min for someone to show up.
2) the shower temp control was very touchy; we had to turn to pure hot water then try to back it off to be comfortable.
i will stay again as there is a concert venue in town
- 967kennedyg (10/5): Amazing experience & stay! - The cobblestone is a must stay if passing through the area or a local! My family lives locally and we rented rooms to let the kids swim and play, adults hangout, and ordered pizza! Everyone had a blast and it was a great experience to get out of the house during the cold winter months when there isn’t much to do. The staff was incredibly accommodating, attentive, and so friendly! The hotel was so clean. Would absolutely recommend the Cobblestone to everyone!! Can’t wait to do this again.
- Judith (10/5): - Friendly staff. Clean and very nice!
- Sam (9/5): Superb -
- Peggy (9/5): I enjoyed my stay. - Breakfast was okay. I enjoyed the eggs and ham. You could have had a better selection on the Danish.
It was very quiet until about six in the morning and the person above me was stomping across the room and did so for about half an hour. Not your fault but it did interrupt my sleep.
I stayed in room 123, the handle to the shower was loose and it came off when I turned on the shower. I forgot to tell you that when I left.
- Stacey (10/5): - Super friendly staff and very clean hotel.
- GrandTour65078799324 (10/5): Great Stay - The hotel was extremely clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms have a wonderful set up and the beds are very comfortable. They have a great breakfast selection, and the bar seemed to be well stocked. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.
- Jimmie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katelyn (10/5): Quiet, clean, & comfortable - We had a quick stay while visiting family. We love that the Cobblestone is quiet, clean, and comfortable!
- Aimee (10/5): Exceptional staff with clean facilities. - The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Our room and the whole property was clean. And the breakfast was delicious too. I just wish that we had a little more time to spend there. Our stay was super short, but we felt right at home. If we are ever in the area again, I would stay there in a heartbeat.
- Bryana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rex (10/5): Great overnight stay! - Great stay! Check-in was flawless and room was ready for us. Breakfast was very good and it was refreshed frequently. We would definitely stay here again in the future.
- 871aben (10/5): Y'all come on down - Our room was across from the pool which was quite convenient. Very comfortable beds and room. Good heat ( it was December) A variety of breakfasts each morning. Friendly staff.
We will definitely come here again next time we are seeing family.
- jackgI7042CB (10/5): Central Illinois Hunting Trip - The Cobblestone Hotel & Suites is a great hotel and very comfortable with extremely clean rooms. My entire stay was enjoyable with no issues. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel. Looking forward to staying again next year!
- Susan (6/5): - Very nice and clean. Be aware there is no elevator which makes it difficult to take luggage up and down the stairs. If you’re on the second floor going to pool, breakfast, coffee, etc. becomes a real chore.
Staff was nice.
- Volodymyr (9/5): Superb -
