Guest Reviews
- Jeanne (7/5): Comfortable - Close to everything It is starting to age
- Sharon Shimin (2/5): - THE NOISE ON Saturday from the Pub, the noise on the road from the Tracks.... can not sleep
- Jeanne (7/5): - Proximity to work
- Jesebel (10/5): Convenient location, short walks to cafes, restaurants, shops, playground and park. - Very convenient location to walk around with kids (just across the park and playground) and short walks to cafe and restaurants.
- Cecilia (6/5): Very loud location otherwise fine - It was clean The road noise is crazy loud as it’s located right at a main traffic light. Trucks coming through all hours, made it difficult to sleep.
- Patrick (5/5): served the purpose in Lithgow for soccer carnival -
- Kylie (8/5): - Bed was very comfortable Bathroom was very run down, very noisy with the amount of trucks now going through the middle of Lithgow
- Alicia (6/5): Avarage - The bed was soft , the towels were good 👍 The location is in a busy intersection 😕 and crap to get in and out. The bathrooms were super small and no screen or curtains.
- David (8/5): - The location next to the pub Not much
- Richard (9/5): - I was upgraded, so great value. Good sized ensuite, big TV, tea-making facilities.
- Tony Cope (8/5): - Well located hotel with bistro and good carparking. My son left a mouthguard behind in error, and the hotel was very prompt in posting it to him - thank you! No bedside tables so had to leave books, water glasses, reading glasses etc on the floor.
- Jeanne (8/5): - Close to everything Traffic noise
- Andrew (3/5): - Nothing Was told Booked the last room. There was only 1 other room used.
- Stella (6/5): For the price we paid, it does not meet our expectations. - There was no breakfast.
The location is convenient to where we were going. However, we have to go around to leave the property. This makes it farther to the place we went to. There's onky 1 mirror & it is too high. If someone is in the bathroom, there's no mirror.
- Philip (10/5): Have explained in above section, i have told friends sine my return home of where i stayed. - I was told that you had breafast, so i went up town an had it there, i did ask but there was no reply. Nothing every thing was tremedndous, i was in the hotel rooms not the motel part as it was full Now i know why i could not have breakfast because i was not in the motel. I did see you had tables set up with tale cloths, but i suppose you did not have staff to cook. My breakfast up town $ 45, i think you should look into this for people staying in the hotel side..................... Could you tell me did the cleaning staff find a diary in room 23 as it might have been under the bed as i have not got it with me when i unpacked at home.. Other wise i will come stay again, as being iin town better than motels out of town.
Regards Philip Leach

- Kelly (6/5): Clean and compact with almost everything I needed. - Convenient stay. Easy walk around town. Shower didn’t function correctly.
- Ratu (5/5): - Receptionist staff were good My room was not clean up in my 4 nights there
- Elaine (7/5): Pleasant place to stay. Nice and clean. - Good location although rather noisy due to Saturday night pub activities.
Clean sheets, lovely soft towels. Generally building old but kept clean and tidy. A bit noisy but located on the Main Street.
Rather dark in the rooms.
- Brett (3/5): - Food was good Shared bathroom- peeling paint on wall & floor of shower.
If staying don’t except any rooms above the pub
Make sure you get a room in the adjacent building which looks very nice
- Paul (8/5): -
- Kevin (5/5): -
- Sean (5/5): Dirt cheap but very rundown. - Extremely cheap! I stayed 2 nights, but don't expect much. Hotel has definitely seen better days!

- Nick (8/5): good - location was good and parking no smoking
- Tracey (7/5): -
- Hartmut (1/5): - Nothing I will not be staying at the Commercial Motel in Lithgow again due to several disappointing issues during my stay.
Firstly, the bathroom was poorly designed and very dark. The shower tap would not stay in place and kept falling down, which made it difficult to shower properly as I had to hold it with one hand.
Secondly, the bedroom felt unclean. The ceiling lamps were filled with dead insects, which gave the entire room an unhygienic and neglected appearance.
In addition, the internet connection was extremely poor. I was unable to stream even basic content on Netflix, which was frustrating.
Another issue was the lack of basic amenities. While there were coffee and tea making facilities provided, there were no teaspoons available. At the very least, disposable wooden stirrers and paper cups should be supplied.
Finally, the noise insulation was very inadequate. Despite my room being located away from the main road, there was constant heavy truck traffic throughout the night. The noise made it very difficult to sleep.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend staying here.
- Carolyn (6/5): - Very noisy - loud trucks all night long. No reverse cycle air conditioner, no teaspoons, no tissues, toilet cistern buttons weren't working - toilet didn't stop flushing. Bathroom is very tired. Overpriced for what is offered.
- Dorothy (1/5): I wouldn’t stay there again not good - Fridge not working, took 3 phone calls to get it fixed
- Kierra (1/5): Worst experience ever - Location Freezer didn’t work, lights didn’t work properly, no air con, heater took forever to work, and room was flooded with bed bugs and larvae, I got no sleep and have been itchy all over
- Colleen (5/5): -
- Emma (3/5): - It was central It was dirty, we booked a queen and a single got 3 singles, staff saw me waiting at reception and continued on with other tasks for 5minutes before attending to me booking in. It was extremely loud all night. Good for if your hitting the pub and just need somewhere to crash but wouldn’t stay again for any other purpose.
- Scott (8/5): Good location to train station. - Great location No hand wash or garbage bin in male toilet upstairs for accommodation area.
- Tonei (6/5): -
- ivan (7/5): great - breakfast good plus it was in the right area nothing all good
- James (7/5): -
- Codi (1/5): Sh!t - The staff. Everything the shower you had to stand in for 2 hours before you were wet enough for soap. Then it took another 3 hours to rinse off. There was no aircon and the tv didn’t work.
- Wilkins (5/5): -
- Bradley (7/5): -
- Davies (2/5): - Not much Noisy being underneath pub. Didn’t sleep until patrons left the pub
- Maddison (1/5): Not good - Nothing as I didn’t actually get a key to my room Didn’t get to sleep
- Smith (10/5): -
- Paul (7/5): Groodnfor the price. - Bar staff were nice Bathrooms are a bit grim
- Norje (3/5): I was happy because the place is not to bad - Clean Central in the town
- Hadzisani (5/5): Should improve standards for value for money. Supply microwaves in rooms - Proximity to workplace and shops Standards have generally gone down.
Cleaning is no longer up to standard
- Stephen (6/5): - Close to everything.
- Stanly (9/5): It was a good time. - Clean, good customer service & good price Nice location
- Stanly (9/5): -
- donnate (10/5): - The location close to shops and. Train station and food There didn't like how hot the rooms get in hot weather
- Lorene (9/5): -
- Hadzisani (5/5): - Proximity to worksites No microwave in room.
Restaurant closes too early on some days
- Chloe (8/5): -
- Glen (10/5): It was great for a quick night away. All I needed was a placet for a sleep, shower and shave. - Great Staff
Good Food
Good Ol Fashioned Pub Accomodation. Nothing
You are a sook if you can't accept the Old Fashioned Pub for what it is.
- Johnathan (3/5): This stay was trash. - The location, short walk to station. Beds were very hard, including the pillows; bathrooms were messy and many tiles missing, no toilet paper holder and water was not hot enough.
- Smith (9/5): - Cheap Nothing
- Mark (7/5): Good location.. but you get what you pay for - Location TV kept dropping out
- Smith (9/5): -
- Keith (8/5): -
- Hadzisani (5/5): Convenient - Near to my worksite Standards have generally gone down
- Col (7/5): - Close to station and in town walk to every think No air,con floor fan only and i could not open window to let hot air out it was stuffy
- Leisa (7/5): - Great location, good pub dinner and friendly staff. Good size room, however the matress could definitely be look at for replacing
- Robert (10/5): -
- Dal (8/5): - It was cheap, clean and central, but as I was in the hotel with a shared bathroom it was frustrating when the door to the shared showers(2) and toilets (2) were locked on several evenings when someone clearly wanted a private bathroom. Too hard to contact reception by phone, and I'm sure the response would not have been positive, sure I could have traipsed down the stairs, but more inconvenience than its worth As above
- Adrian (6/5): -
- Nigel (3/5): Pub room. Cheap, basic, warm, dry. Good grill, popular with the locals. - .
- Victoria (8/5): A comfortable affordable stay with great bedding. - Affordable and clean! The bed and linen were fabulous. Expect a little noise due to the busy intersesion location. The room's bathroom could use a small refresh ~ though with the number of guests, that’s understandable. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay. Though the bathroom could use an update and perhaps blackout curtains (maybe from the very affordable Dimmeys!) would be perfect for shift workers.
- Richard (8/5): Good price - I have stayed here many times but this was the first time I had been given a double room. It was much more comfortable than a single room. I don't think there is an option to choose a double room and pay extra. I would do so if I could. Very good price. Double room.
- Matt (7/5): -
- Dean (9/5): A great quiet stay. - I didn't have time for breakfast. Maybe an air-conditioned for hot weather.
- Scott (3/5): After confirming with reception at 10.30am we have 2 ground level rooms. We returned at 8.30pm to be told we had 1 room - Close to town Traffic noise and noise from people on the deck of the pub until 2am.
Door very hard to close, almost need 2 people.
- Michelle (5/5): Excellent location. Noisey but is on highway! - Being able to walk to shops, restaurants and cafes R
Would be nice to have a replacement milk/ tead bags each day
- Hadzisani (5/5): Refurbishment - Location and meals Run down. Needs refurbishment. Shower cubicles need upgrading
- jason (8/5): Great value for money, great food and drinks at pub - Great location and price No air conditioner
- Salote (8/5): I will be back very soon -
- Eric (7/5): It was excellent for our purposes….visiting lookouts, Garden of Stones, etc - Central location
Restaurants very close
- Christopher (9/5): -
- Scott (8/5): - Good location. Rooms above pub were clean but small, but band played until almost 2am right below rooms so sleep wasn't an option.
- Jeanne (6/5): -
- Dal (10/5): - Very clean, bistro available for fresh meals( if required), staff helpful and friendly Shower lacked a curtain/screen which meant a lot of water on bathroom floor.
- Jaime (7/5): -
- Peteris (7/5): -
- Dianne (7/5): Pleasant and comfortable, value for money. - Though obviously old the accommodation was comfortable and clean. No mod cons, but we were warm during the cold weather and the large white fluffy towels were luxurious. Maybe inclusion of a little bedside table
- Aaron (4/5): -
