Guest Reviews
- Nadine (10/5): - Beautiful location! Not much around town so a hot plate might be nice in the room incase the weather isn't great for using the BBQ. We had a lovely stay!
- Daniel (9/5): -
- Karen (10/5): A beautiful place, in a fantastic location, on a stunning lake. - Very welcoming while being a relaxing getaway at the same time. There was nothing to not like about this property. It was perfect.
- Heather (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful property on Nimpo Lake, access to paddle boards, dock, and spectacular sitting areas to enjoy the view. Mountains in the distance, loons, and pelicans flying above. Float planes taking off and landing at a few small resorts in the area. Not busy and an excellent spot for a retreat.
Hosts were helpful and accomodating.
- Judith (10/5): The Place to Stay in Nimpo Lake! - Great, welcoming & helpful owners!!!
Gorgeous setting with lovely facilities!
Comfortable beds with lovely toiletries!
Great bathroom & jacuzzi tub!! Sound proofing not the best from guests overhead.
Needed more lighting in kitchen.
- Susan (10/5): A relaxing stay at a beautiful lake front property! - Spacious grounds, water access, fantastic sauna and a great host There was nothing I did not like
- Stan (8/5): Very good -

- Debora (10/5): Superb. We left feeling relaxed and renewed. - Everything. Nothing
- Annette (10/5): Most beautiful Location - We had an excellent stay! As we extended our days here, I was given a review for each booking. Therefore just read my review from before and book, if you love a quiet and remote place.
- Annette (10/5): Most tranquil Place - Such peaceful and beautiful place. We enjoyed every minute here 😊
Don and Lyn are very welcoming and made sure, their guest have every thing they need.
The suits are comfortable and well appointed and spotlessly clean.
Most of all , we enjoyed the very beautiful view from our terrasse.
We used the kayaks for a little tour along the shore. They are in a very good condition. Another big bonus is the closeness to Steward’s Floatplanes, where we booked a tour to Hamlet Falls and the Rainbow mountains. An unforgettable adventure! Unfortunately, nearly all eateries were closed around. (We visited end of September. )Therefore, it was a little tricky to get food, as the kitchenette is not equipped for cooking.
Thanks for borrowing us some pans and pots, so we could cook a meal on the BBQ!
- Andy (9/5): Superb - Beautiful location. It feels a little oasis. You can hear the owls and lunes calling.
- Edwards (10/5): This was the perfect place way to relax and unwind as we started our visit to Canada - Everything - particularly our very helpful and wonderful hosts.
- Anke (10/5): - The garden, almost a park in the accommodation, is beautiful. Best view of the lake and plenty of seating. The host was very friendly and I felt completely at ease.
- Philippe (10/5): - I stayed there for three nights for work. It’s a beautiful resort, right on the lake with amazing views. The owners were there to greet me when I arrived, great people.
- ANDREW (10/5): - Amazing spot, host is very friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be staying here again.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - This place is a slice of heaven! The hosts are so friendly and helpful, and run the most beautiful accommodation. The rooms were exceptionally comfy and clean, with lots of amenities on offer. The location is right on the lake with a huge garden and lake access, plus free use of kayaks and a boat. A wonderful little area by the lake is great for a sundowner or a self-cooked dinner. There's a store about 4 mins walk away with everything you need. We didn't want to leave.
- Julianna (10/5): A great relaxing stay in a wonderful place - The host is a lovely and welcoming person Nothing
- Joanne (9/5): Superb - Beautiful quiet getaway - clean, comfortable & stunning views, gracious host.
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional - Just a great place, good local knowledge and very friendly
- Zdenek (9/5): Superb - This is a beautiful place to stay at least several days. The only disadvantage about Nimpo lake is lack of places to eat and the fact there are no cooking facilities on the property
- Sheryle (10/5): This was an immaculate place at an unbelievable Canadian lake. - This was one of the most beautiful places we have stayed in and was in one of the most beautiful locations in which we have ever been. Looking for loons? This lake was full of them. Dinner options were somewhat limited, but there was a small store nearby, and we were able to grill at the Retreat.
- Oren (9/5): Superb -
- Jeff (10/5): - Amazing. Definitely will be back!!
- CINDY (10/5): - Beautiful room and surroundings. Exceptionally tasteful and well taken cared of. Friendly owners.
- Nathanael (10/5): - A comfortable nice place to stay. Wifi is good. Heated floors are a very nice touch.
- Shaheer (10/5): Lovely Stay with Stunning Views - The accommodations themselves were incredibly comfortable, (gas powered) fireplace made for a cozy stay, great wi-fi even though it is quite isolated, and a very clean room.
The inn itself is located on the lake with stunning views and lots of activities.
The hosts are also incredibly friendly and welcoming.
One thing to mention is that dining options in the area are very limited so take that into account.
- Karyn (10/5): A truly special spot. - Donn and Lee made us feel incredibly welcome at their lovely property. We had everything we needed for our stay in this stunning part of the Province. We had a one bedroom plus loft unit which was very clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable, great shower, fridge, microwave, and communal BBQ, allowed us to make our own dinner. There’s a small general store nearby for necessities but definitely best to stock up before you arrive.
We used the paddle board, hung out on the porch, and did a scenic flight with Tweedsmuir Air which is almost next door. We certainly hope to return!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Verry nice enviroment and location.........................
