The hosts Cynthia and Brian are lovely and interesting people, always chatty and helpful with any questions about where to visit in the area. Our room, ‘Lyonness’; was very large with a lovely bathroom. Modern and tastefully decorated. We had a lovely 4 night stay and the full breakfast was always freshly cooked and excellent. Highly recommended.

We couldn’t have had a nicer welcome after a long journey. Our room was gorgeous including the beautiful bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. Our breakfast was amazing! Freshly cooked in the lovely farmhouse kitchen. Nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend Caroe Farmhouse highly enough. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit.

- Martin (10/5): Caroe Farmhouse - It was a fantastic break in Cornwall despite the rain and wind. The host made a real effort to know us. This was shown right at the beginning when we booked in. She made us a cup of tea and served us with a slice of cake. We will definitely book this venue again and recommend it to our friends in future.

Rooms are large as are en-suites and both are kept very clean. Couldn’t have asked for more and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

- Wendy (10/5): - The perfect spot for peace and rest from our busy lives with the choice of driving around different areas close by to enjoy. Lovely and fresh looking building as you approach the farmhouse. Go very slow down the narrow roads as on coming vehicles who know them well have a speed on. The farmhouse have fire doors so sometimes you hear them slamming without care of attention.

Great breakfast - not a massive buffet style choice but as a consequence was clearly freshly cooked and tasty with a variety of cereal and a fresh fruit salad also available. A car is needed but a good base if north cornwall is your thing with Bude and Widemouth one way and Boscastle and Tintagel the other.

The hosts are are warm and welcoming, the house is beautiful and the breakfast is truly amazing with fresh, locally sourced produce. Luxurious retreat - The cynic in me is always sceptical when a property has such perfect reviews, but I shouldn’t have been in this case - the place really is something special! Cynthia and Brian run a relaxing and welcoming countryside retreat - spotlessly clean and well-equipped. Our Lyonesse room was huge, with a bathroom almost the same size with huge shower and separate free-standing bath. The room was very private and a real retreat after a day walking/exploring nearby. At the same time, the owners are super helpful, chatty, and prepare a mean full English each morning - was a pleasure to stay with them!
- Storm (10/5): Lovely stay couldn’t fault anything - Lovely place to stay, In a nice quite area. A very friendly welcome and show round. Room was well presented and clean. It also has all the bits we might need tea/coffee facilities, towels and mini toiletries if needed (Chocolate and cookies were a great tasty extra) comfortable bed, good night sleep, and lovely powerful hot shower. Gorgeous breakfast with lots to choose from, very tasty fruit salad. Lots of lovely things to see and do in the area, Tintagel Castle was lovely (recommend booking) St. Nectars Glen waterfall was also very lovely. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
- Christopher (10/5): Friendly Farmhouse for a relaxing stay - Such a great start to our holiday in Cornwall meeting Cynthia and Brian and being welcomed in with a cup of tea and a slice of cake. The atmosphere is like meeting up with old friends and having a chat in the bright and airy farmhouse kitchen. Our room was the Lyonesse which was beautifully decorated with just the right mix of elegant with all the comforts of home. A really comfortable bed and restful night sleep followed by a delicious full English breakfast, cereal, toast and pots of tea set us up nicely for the day. I really enjoyed the fresh fruit salad with Greek yoghurt. Cynthia and Brian made sure we had everything we needed and they were both very friendly with a great sense of humour. Caroe Farmhouse is nestled nicely in the gorgeous Cornish countryside down quiet country lanes with beautiful views which makes it a peaceful place to come back to after a busy day. I would love to go and stay again and definitely recommend it to anyone considering visiting Cornwall.
