• Tim (10/5): - I stayed in one of the cabins. It was small,but clean and adequate for one or two people. The staff was very helpful and prompt. The bed was too soft for my liking, however.
• Lorna (6/5): Book a cabin not the lodge - The add is very misleading as it appears rooms are all cabins. This is not the case. We were given a room in the lodge (which is a fancy term in this case for dorm). The room was very small and the bed way too soft/overused. As we were only staying for one night this all would have been ok but the building is so loud. There is a communal shared kitchen in the front so you hear people walking around all the time, if someone coughs the whole building hears, and the room doors are swollen/not hung right so they have to the forcefully pulled shut…this is loud and we had to listen to off and on until 11pm Outside of the lodge, the grounds seemed nice. The Jacuzzi set up is cute and there’s a pizza restaurant right across the street. If we’d stayed in a cabin, I probably would’ve given this a great review but staying in the lodge was not enjoyable and it was not made clear that this was the situation when I made the booking. There are a few lovely cats so that was the highlight….
• Jay (2/5): Deliberately lies about pet policy, can't stock TP - I don't understand how this place has 9.0 stars. No one at the desk at 9:13 pm arrival, key left in a mailbox. The listing on hotels.com lists that they are pet friendly and mentions a very specific pet policy. Every single door at the facility has a sign that says no pets. The door is locked with a simple bedroom lock and there is a three inch gap between the floor and the bottom of the door. The bed was lumpy and they left a third of a roll of toilet paper with no back up. I had to go out to the car and check on our poor dog at 4 am and to get TP. There was a random staff member sitting at a table in the "lodge" who asked what room I was in without identifying themselves as an employee. No offer of assistance, no greeting just "would you mind telling me what room you're in" at 425 am. If you want to feel secure and safe, do not stay here. If you want to be lied to about a pet policy, you want a bedroom door between you and strangers, and you want a poorly stocked room, then go ahead and book yourself a room here.

• Charles (10/5): A Delightful Stay - A delightful place to stay with value rates. I was in the lodge with an adequate room and amenities for one night stopover on my trip north. Especially liked the little alcove type room for coffee, tea, breakfast nook. Would stay again should I find myself in Town.

• Miles (8/5): - Great property, nice host. Bathroom was too small, and the exhaust fan was very loud. Room was comfortable and clean. TV has one of those bizarre cable services that require you to learn what all of the buttons do on their remote, just to watch network TV. Prairie dogs were fun to watch, just off the driveway area. We would stay there, again, but only in a cabin, like we had.
• Nan (6/5): - The room was adequate and clean. However, the bolt lock did not work, the chain lock was broken and hanging, there were no glasses in the room for brushing teeth, etc.. I would have asked for a change of room, but we arrived shortly after 8 PM and did not see anyone around.
• Neil (10/5): - I enjoyed staying here very much. I was only passing through and stayed one night, but if I could afford it, it would be a nice place to stay longer. The rates are very reasonable, but I am quite poor. The room was so comfortable. There is a kitchen area with coffee and ice, and I appreciated the availability of microwave popcorn. Thank you for a wonderful stay. The staff was also kind and helpful.

• David (10/5): - When we travel, we go for hotels but on this occasion we wanted to try “a cabin”. We loved it. It was tiny but it worked. It was well appointed and comfortable.
• Amanpreet (10/5): - I stayed at Moosehead Lodge with my family, and we all absolutely loved it. The property was clean, cozy, and had a really welcoming vibe. The rooms had that rustic charm we were looking for, and everything was well-maintained. One of the highlights was definitely speaking with the lodge keeper, an amazing person who made us feel right at home. They were friendly, helpful, and genuinely cared about making our stay comfortable.
• Andrew (4/5): - The staff was friendly and were presentable. We stayed in the lodge. The property and facilities was rundown. The bedding was old and they must have a shortage of pillows. Only one pillow per guest and the pillows were flat. No entertainment. No complimentary breakfast although they did have a microwave and coffee. It really needs to be upgraded. No critters so thats a plus.

• Steven (6/5): - Somehow, we got the smallest room possible, and there was virtually no one there. And it was too much effort to try and move to a larger room so that was fine. The staff was great attentive. The lodge was very clean. I wouldn’t recommend using Expedia, but calling them directly to book that way you get what you want The air conditioner was funky and didn’t work very well first it was on low cool and then only on fan. It might need to be replaced. What’s important is that it’s clean very clean housekeeping does a wonderful job. .
• Keri (6/5): - This property listing needs to be more clear. There is a lodge and there are cabins. Needs clarification on what you get when you reserve. The whole reason I went to this property was the cabins and I was put in the lodge which was a very small room in an old house. Really wasn't happy with amenities and as I'd stayed in the cabins before I really liked those, The Lodge is very dated. So I do not feel like I got what I was paying for.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - I was extremely disappointed in our stay. We were under the impression after booking with hotels.com that we were booking a clean cabin like the ones on the photos provided. Instead, we were put into a what seemed like a large house with multiple different rooms. Our room had stains on the floor, the bath tub was extremely dirty and still had the past travelers hair left in it.. We didn’t shower, and covered the pillows that smelled like cigarettes with our clean clothes to try and sleep the night

Check in was a breeze and the staff (Cody and Ruby) were lovely. One feedback for Moosehead, we stayed at the furthest corner of the property, would be great to have a light there where the cars are parked.

• Gayle (10/5): Great place for our stop - This was a great spot for us as it was close to Dinosaur National Monument - where we were headed the next am. It was a bit challenging to find all we needed in the dark. The property said they would have check in open until 9p - and we altered our travel to make sure we were there by 9, and then they weren't. They did make arrangements to give us access to our key, but I wish they had notified us of this earlier, as it would have made our travel a bit less hectic. Our location was upstairs and the outside light outside the door did not work (the stairs were outside) so that should be addressed for safety. Overall the room is cute, quaint, mini fridge, full shower, etc. It was clean, quiet. Wished we had another night there because the outdoor space looked fun and relaxing to hang out in, but we had a long trip ahead of us yet. Now that I know how it works, I'd stay again. :) We were thrilled to find great breakfast options right down the street on our way out.

• Amber (8/5): Essentials. Will stay again. - Neat little alternative to a hotel. Single room with all the essentials. Comfy bed. Cable TV. Only complaint was bathroom fan was extremely loud for such a small space. Less than a block from CNCC, which was the purpose of our stay.

• Susan (6/5): - I really like older, funky motels, and i hate to leave a bad review. Our room was clean, but there were several things that were subpar: long sheer curtain over a/c, constantly billowing so no privacy. Only light in room was one bulb with only chicken wire for a 'shade.' Only one outlet in room (half of the duplex outlet). No cups. Coffee and microwave are in a lobby. We also had the smallest room at same price. Our frinds had a table and 2 bedside lamps for the same price, and 2 other rooms i saw (as tgey were being cleaned) also had a tNle and chairs. Our room was smaller, no space for a table. However, our friends had an outlet that did not work, they awoke to a phone with a 5% charge, and their TV remote did not work. They got a new remote, but had to reboot the TV box. I cannot recommend this motel until they address these issues.

• Christie (10/5): - Great room in the cabin (8 rooms total), with a shared kitchen and a shared outdoor patio complete with a propane grill! There were restaurants close by, but we opted to go to the local grocery store and get some things to cook outside on the grill for supper the night we arrived, as well as breakfast the next morning before we checked out. Very nice place and staff and our dog had a wonderful stay and was very welcome by the host dog .
