The property listing states "Restaurant" however, you can buy a meal (good local cuisine) but it is whatever is being cooked that day. No menu. I am sure the cook would prepare food to meet your needs. I enjoyed the local meals.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Personalized Attention - I arrived early in the day, and Colin was very responsive and understanding of my situation allowing me to have a room immediately. The room was comfortable and clean. Later in the day, Colin came by to check if I needed anything. Since the nearby restaurants were closed, he personally made the drive to pick up food and deliver it to us. The next day, he even gave us a ride to the airport. His personalized attention meant a lot to me. Thank you to Colin and to the Bomboleo Inn!
• Mary Kay (8/5): - Apparently they didn’t know that we were coming. The hotel hadn’t received the reservation from Expedia. However it was no problem and they quickly arranged rooms for our party of four. We were able to walk to a local restaurant and had a great Belizean breakfast at Bamboleo!

• Rachel (2/5): - When we arrived we were told our reservation had been cancelled. They claimed that “someone” called and cancelled our reservation. I think they oversold the property and couldn’t guarantee the room so they made an excuse. They were incredibly nice and helpful through the whole thing, even calling another potential hotel to check availability. But still… I want my money back. We will see how Expedia handles this scenario.
• Jillian (6/5): - Pros: Clean floors and sheets, quiet, AC worked Cons: This place was… fine. Felt a bit like a place that once was. Those images in the description of people smiling and enjoying a glass of wine over a nice meal are definitely not a reality of this place. The tables are gone. There are holes in the screens upstairs. There was not an option for food. Other than that the room was… fine. We were given half a roll of toilet paper. There were 3 spoons and a knife… no forks. Some of the dishes were dirty. Dirty, moldy drying mat. No dish soap. Window locks didn’t work and we were on the ground floor. Credit card machine was broken so we had to go to an ATM to pay for the room. A bit sketchy to get back to… but I guess that’s what made it quiet. It felt like a step above a backpacker’s accommodation but without the backpacker budget. It worked but I wouldn’t stay here again.

• Robert (6/5): Emergency room - It's difficult to explain our stay at Bambaleo. On one hand the staff is nice, considerate, and helpful. On the other hand, I wouldn't have stayed there but for TAG Airline who arbirtally changed our flight. My stay was fine for one night. One more night and I would have found somewhere else. It wasn't my style or first choice. Our hosts were outstanding! They took us to a local restaurant and pretty much held our hands during our stay. We thank them very much for their consideration.

• W H (2/5): - when I got to Belize city and through customers, the airport shut their Wi-Fi down and I had no way to communicate with the hotel. I was alone outside when I best western van pulled up looking for passengers. They took me through Ladyville looking for the Hotel and could not find it. The area looks so bad, Unpaid streets, potholes, dangerous looking people. I told the van drivers to get out of there and take me to a nice hotel, which they did. I stayed at the best Western Biltmore Plaza Hotel. I Was really scared! I hope I will not be charged for the room I did not use. W. H. COX

• Isaiah (10/5): Great spot! - This was the perfect spot for us on the final leg of our trip. It’s a beautiful property in a quiet neighborhood and the service was great. The food (especially breakfast) was top notch and Shamera provided everything we could want. We’ll certainly stay here the next time we’re in Belize.

• Denise (10/5): Delightful little inn with the best hospitality - It was a wonderful first stop in Belize. Close to the airport. Miss Vinny greeted us with a big smile and checked us in. We loved our stay and enjoyed our creek view. Cathy, Dan and miss Vinny (sorry if I’m not spelling her name correctly) were fun to hang out on the porch with and chat. Best fry jacks ever!! Breakfasts were delicious. Thanks for the ride to the local restaurant for dinner, the delightful conversation, the use of your pool and for all the hospitality. We hope to make a return visit and would definitely stay at the inn again!

• cindy (10/5): Best Last day of a Trip Ever!! - Our stay at Bamboleo was perfect in every way. The room was large, clean and beds very comfortable. Great shower:). Our hosts were out of this world helpful...we had done 3 tours that day and drove in from the jungle not thinking about food or wine...they had a nice small menu to pick from and a bottle of wine....I used to be a big fan of the old fashion Bed and breakfast's where you meet people, share coffee and dinner...that is what you will find here....wonderful people but much nicer than any hotel. Just a few minutes to the airport and they will make sure to get you there........Thank you for making the last day of our trip as nice as the first!!!

Here I was thinking it's a good choice for a quick stop before our flight back home, and we ended up enjoying our stay here more than the four other places we visited in Belize! Next time we visit this lovely country, Bamboleo Inn will be our destination and home base for exploration rather than simply a stopover.
• Steve (10/5): - A big thank you to new hosts Hannah & Corey for making me feel at home during my 5 night stay at Bamboleo. I make regular business trips to Belize and decided to try something different to the usual chain hotels, I’m glad I did. My room was a good size with a comfy bed and good quality bedding, a large shower room was welcome and the kitchenette was equipped with all the things you need to prepare snacks or small meals for a change from eating out. As a solo traveller fed up with sitting in restaurants on my own I chose to eat with the family, along with other guests. For me this sums up the unique appeal of Bamboleo; clean , spacious and good quality facilities together with a personal touch. I will be back next February!

The rooms were cool and comfortable and the "gathering" porch upstairs was a fantastic place to end the day with other travelers, sharing refreshments and stories of grand adventures. Dan and Cathy (as well as the dogs) were incredible host and made us feel right at home. Road down is a little bumpy but that would be the only con we could even try to think of.

• Thomas (10/5): Belize Hospitality - The Bamboleo Inn was a great place to stay within 5 minutes of the airport in the marina district, Kathy & Dan are owner/operators with a passion for hospitality and are caring gracious host, their pride ownership shows in the renovation of all 7 rooms especially the bathrooms. We felt at home upon arrival relaxing on the common 2nd floor screened porch, Kathy makes great breakfast to order and beverages are taken on the honor system, this Inn is a hidden gem, thank you Tom & Carrie
• Ruth V (10/5): Fantastic! - We stayed for one night prior to flying home & we were absolutely delighted with our choice. Cathy, Dan & their staff are amazing & made us feel so welcome. It’s a 5 minutes drive to the airport in a safe neighbourhood with plenty of secure parking. The room was modern, stylish, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Cathy prepared an evening meal for us & she & Dan sat & chatted with us like we were long, lost friends. It made our last night in Belize very special in a country renowned for its friendliness. Thank you both very much.
• Michael (10/5): Great Inn!! - Had a great stay at the Bamboleo Inn!! Only stayed one night because we were catching a flight out the following morning. We were going to eat at a restaurant in Belize city because we had heard such good reviews, but, subsequently found out that it was closed on Good Friday. After the check in we were advised that they had a small menu of food that we could order from. I had the Chicken pot pie with French fries and my wife ordered the Lasagna. Both were delicious!! They also had many different drinks (beer & Pop) and wine for sale as well. Water was free.... All in all we had a great stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!! They also made sure that we had a cab to the airport the next morning!!

• Verified traveler (10/5): - This place FAR exceeded our expectations. We booked this place for one night when we flew in to Belize before driving to Placencia. What an incredible experience- Kathy and Dan were such gracious hosts. We ate Kathy's home home cooking for dinner and breakfast, played with her adorable pets, and relaxed in the prestine yard to celebrate our very first night in Belize. We are so glad we stayed here over one of the larger chains in Belize City. And it is about 5 min from the airport.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - We selected the Bamboleo Inn based on it's proximity to the airport for an early morning flight and some good reviews it had received. We were a little leary when our taxi driver turned off the paved road but were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the charming inn on the waters edge. The rooms were neat and clean, with functioning AC, wifi, and hot water, something we had not seen the previous week. Daniel and Cathy, our hosts, made as feel like family rather than customers, inviting us to join them with their family and offering to make breakfast much earlier than usual to accommodate our early morning flight. Cathy also made an excellent local restaurant recommendation to avoid the half hour trip into Belize City. She even arranged our taxi transportation in both directions. We will most definitely stay at Bamboleo on future visits to Belize
• Coreen (10/5): - Very welcoming and accommodating owners/staff! Beautiful bathroom and screened in resting/dining atea. The Inn is gated and located in a safe neighborhood and also close to the airport.

But hey, they are Canadian after all  Coffee provided was amazing, can’t comment on the comp breakfast because I don’t eat breakfast. The common area gazebo was a very nice touch. Especially in the morning and at sunset. Cathy was very accommodating and knowledgeable of the area and the “must sees” in the area and surrounding Keys (Cayes). Dan keeps the property spotless, and given a opening, will regale you with cool stories from his past. And finally, Vinnie is an absolute sweetheart, I can’t imagine the place without her. The beds were awesome considering how much of a crapshoot that can be when travelling. 2 bicycles are provided for the more adventurous. We used them a lot. It was a great way to discover the little shops and “Cute Shack” style walk-up places to eat. And they are also a great way to get some and exercise at the same time. Kitchen was well stocked with the basics to eat on the road. Bathroom and shower was better than expected. A/C worked well and was much appreciated at bedtime. Very clean property. A little off the beaten path, but an extremely good value. Would definitely stay again if we returned.

Vinnie was an absolute delight as well. Rooms were great, bright, colorful and clean. Well functioning A/C to get that good night's sleep after a day out in the wonderful Belize heat. Beds were uber comfy, great gazeebo for morning coffee, well equipped kitchen. A couple bikes are provided for the more adventurous. Drivers (ask for Dennis jr) available for transport to Belize City and water taxis to take you to the Keys, (Cayes) a must see ! Spotless property maintanence, Highly Recommended !

Our room was large and clean with its own kitchenette. The staff was very accommodating and set out a quick breakfast for us before our flight since we had to leave before breakfast was normally served. Our only complaint is we found the beds much too soft, but that is, of course, just personal preference. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
