• Clara (8/5): Dejligt værelse og god beliggenhed - Virkelig fantastisk beliggenhed og et dejligt hotelværelse med alt, hvad man kan ønske sig. Bygningen er gammel og gulvet er meget tyndt, hvilket betød at vi måtte liste rundt på tæerne hver dag for at undgå at få klager fra underboerne. Det var meget stressende.
• Buller (4/5): Look elsewhere unless location is your only priority. - The location is amazing. It’s steps from the Nishiki Market, 10 minute walk to the Ginza district, and a block or two to transit. Everything in Japan is small, but this place is very tiny for four people. The tiny couch only has three seats so you definitely can’t sit around and eat a meal or relax in this place. And the “yard” is cute, but you can’t go out there because it’s just dirt. There isn’t a deck or patio. It’s also incredible loud! When the people upstairs just walk around, it sounds like they are doing construction and you can hear them talking. If they get up early, you will too. We ended up booking a night at a nearby hotel just to get a good night of sleep. Finally, the carpet is gross. I’m pretty sure no one is removing their shoes as is customary. We emailed a complaint, and the staff said they would come clean it, but they never did.
• Edwina (8/5): Overall very decent except for the noise from upstairs. - Very close to the Nishiki market. We heard all the movement, conversation and dragging of luggages from the second floor. The first floor ceiling is not fully insulated which made the noise more noticeable. Families with children should not be assigned the second floor accommodation.

• charles (9/5): Great room, great location, not-so-great check-in - The room was very new and very well designed and appointed. We chose the Hello Kitty room for our daughter and it had many nice HK themed elements and even some HK giveaways for her. The location is also excellent for shopping and eating. It's a little far from the train station, but taxi/uber access was always very quick and easy. The room doesn't have a window, but I think that is common here. It does have very high vaulted ceilings though and that made it appear very big. The check in process is crazy. It's very hard to find the location (our taxi driver couldn't even find it). You then check in with staff (who were great) and after that they shuttle you to the location. But that shuttle could take as long as an hour. After a day long trip, it's the last thing you want to deal with.

• Paula (9/5): Well located unit which is a comfortable place to unwind after a day of sightseeing in Kyoto. - It was well located, spacious, comfortable beds, and clean. Kitchenette was suitable for making tea/coffee and preparing simple meals. The entry into the unit was a bit constricted, but the unit itself was relatively spacious.

Great location, easy to find off Nishiki market, close to shopping areas, Shijo station. Shuttle from Kyoto station at check in was handy. Could hear the family upstairs sometimes.

Nad nami smo imeli družino z dvema majhnima otrokoma, ki sta očitno tekla in se je res vse slišalo. To je bilo nekoliko moteče. Za več oseb morda ni najbolj udobna.

• Serkan (9/5): Angenehme ruhige Aufenthalt trotz Nishiki Markt in der Nähe. Sehr empfehlenswert. - Super Lage direkt neben der Nishiki Markt. Und Gion Geisha Viertel ist zu Fuß oder mit dem Bus erreichbar. Eine Waschmaschine und Trockner stehen im Hotel kostenlos zur Verfügung. Dank 2 Klimaanlagen ist es Kühl im Zimmer. In der Küche war alles zum Kochen und Essen zur Verfügung. Nichts. Alles super.

• Ruwanee (7/5): - Very convenient location In the heart of nishiki ward with many cafes and nishiki market a few meters down the road. The carpets look stained and need replacing. There were lots of mosquitoes given there are open garden areas.

However, since our flight arrived late, the hotel allowed us to check in online, so we could go straight to the accommodation after landing — it was very convenient. I suggest standardizing this process to avoid unnecessary travel during the trip.

• Mihir (8/5): - Beautiful and spacious room. Very nice automatic bathroom and although I am not a Hello Kitty fan, the decor was very tasteful and well designed. Downsides: A very steep staircase to the room, which is difficult with large or heavy bags. No staff onsite, so you had to rely on the informational booklets provided in the room and the check-in was a bit awkward; at an office near Kyoto station.

We stayed here 5yrs ago and wanted to return due to the excellent location next to Nishiki Market. The unit we stayed was on the first floor, the upstairs neighbors were somewhat noisy. Sound insulation can be improved. The downstairs unit was kind of dark, I’d stay again but only if upstairs

• Damon (6/5): - Property was super convenient being so close to Nishiki markets so we really appreciated that. The room itself was also relatively spacious but is really showing its age. The carpet especially looked so stained and the room had a really bad stench to it that we had to spray quite a bit of air freshener. Also we stayed on the ground floor and could hear everything (even footsteps) from the room above us, so don’t expect a quiet stay if you get the ground floor room.
• Carynn (8/5): Nice overall but could have been better with a clean usable washing machine - It was comfortable, location was great (2 mins walk to Nishiki market), and the room was clean. The drying & warming function in the bathroom was amazing. The shared washing machine was the worse I have ever seen. Mold on the rubber door seal with slimy grime. I asked the staff to please clean it, which they responded quickly and cleaned it on the same day. But their cleaning of the machine was very poor. It was still slimy and despite my best efforts to clean it, I gave up. I wasn’t willing to risk it by making my family sick by using the washing machine. We ended up using a new laundromat nearby (5mins walk away). Given that we stayed 5 nights for a family of 4, we had to use the laundromat twice, which would have been nice if the hotel’s washing machine was clean.

• Purvis (8/5): Great location and suited to a family. - The location was fantastic to Nishiki Market and so many other shopping and cultural places. The place had a seating area and a kitchen, which suited us as a family. We only had two issues which is the floor noise from the upstairs unit and the other issue was that they only had winter weight duvet's in 30 degree heat, the only option on offer was to turn down the airconditioner, it was not ideal as we didn't sleep well in the heat.

• Nyioh (8/5): Enjoyable Stay - Location near Nishiki Market, 2 min to Shopping District (Daimaru, Kyoto Shinkyoku Shopping Street), Walking distance to Subway in between (Hankyu-Kyoto Line & Kyoto-Kawaramachi), Near Convince Shop (Lawson, Family Mart & 7 Eleven) best of all near Yamato (you can sent all your luggage to your next destination with hand free). Walking distant to Gion Have to registered at difference location. Staircase on our unit 202. No house keeping.
• My (9/5): Superb - The check in is done at a different location. It took us about 5- 7 mins walking from Kyoto train station to the office . It wasn’t difficult to find, and located on 2nd floor. After the check-in process was completed. They had their own transportation to take us to the hotel. The location of hotel is great. A room is spacious and perfect for a family of three. The laundry/ dryer are a plus since we have not packed much. A little kitchen became so handy after a couple days straight eating out . The heat in the Summer is real and challenge to go around. The Nishiki market is just around the corner. The Bus/ train station is 5 mins walk. The Pontocho and river are close by. We will definitely stay again if we come back Japan.

• Kellie-ann (8/5): Hello Kitty Lovers Dream! With a touch of culture in a perfect location!! - How cute is Hello Kitty! The room was thoughtfully decorated throughout.. with hidden elements here & there. Having a separate living area was great and allowed us to spread out our luggage. The location was perfect and in walking distance to everything we wanted to see in Kyoto.. Nishiki market is only doors away!! We enjoyed our stay here very much and it was a refreshing touch from staying in large hotels, to stay in a small home! There are quite steep stairs into Room 202.. and getting heavy luggage up them was not the easiest! Keep this in mind if you have difficulty with stairs! We were a bit annoyed when we returned the evening of our first night to discover the property riddled with ants! Thankfully there was a convenience store at the end of the street and we were able to get some Insect Spray.. after a good dosing we were able to kill most of them! And felt much better about opening our luggage!

• Mark (7/5): Great location but be prepared to lose plenty of sleep. - Great location and very homely and unique unit Very noisy and impacted sleep every night. The main bed room has no sound insulation from the road and plenty of noise in the early hours of the morning I.e. rubbish trucks and delivery vehicles but that's part of being so close to the nishiki hub.

Dryer in bathroom can use be use to dry washed clothes. Need to climb stairs to room on 2nd level. Quite a feat to carry the heavy luggages up the narrow stairway. There is a washer and dryer for sharing between 4 rooms. If every room has their own washer/dryer, will be perfect! Soundproofing can be improved as voices can be heard from room in the lower level.

• Joshua J (10/5): - This place was perfect for the 3 of us. Lots of room to relax and a great bath. The interior design and Japanese room made the stay feel very Kyoto and the room has a bunch of natural light. Location is amazing, only a few steps to Nishiki market, there were a ton of great local food options really close and a little further to the bus stop. Only issue I had was they sent the check in instructions in Japanese so I missed that we needed to check in at a different location. I'm not sure how that happened but just be sure to find the check in location near Kyoto station before you go to the hotel.

• Hanpen (10/5): - 京都駅前のレセプションの方、宿まで送っていただいた方みなさんとても親切でした。宿のロケーションもさることながら、設備もすばらしかったです。最初は２階を予約していましたが、小さな子が同行し駆け回るので宿の方と相談して１階に変更しました。町家づくりで、音が響くので正解でした。他の方も書いていましたが、お風呂の壁が透明でとても美しいのですが、スペースがトイレとつながっていますので、誰かがお風呂に入るときにはトイレを使えないという点だけ少し不便でしたが、大した問題ではありませんでした。それより気になった点は、玄関までの細い廊下に喫煙所があるため、喫煙されている方がいるとたいへん煙いときがありました。外出するときはどうしても子どももそこを通らなくてはならないので、喫煙所をもう玄関に近いところにして、換気できるようになっているといいなと思いました。しかし、この宿の快適さを考えれば、取るに足らないことだと思います。また利用したいと思っています。
• Verified traveler (10/5): 整體不錯 - 住宿地點與check in 地點雖然不同，但有接駁車，算是方便!住宿地點與錦市場非常近，交通便利，隔幾間有一間本地人開的小型咖啡店，很有特色，早餐好吃!最深刻的就是住宿的浴缸很先進，自動儲水，又有恒溫功能，值得一試!

• Verified traveler (10/5): - I was worried about the main desk being separate from the actual location we were staying at, but they had baggage storage at both locations, the check in was easy, everyone provided lots of detail for us, and we got a free shuttle to our location where they made sure we got our keys and got in before leaving. The rooms were some of the most spacious we had during our time in Japan, with lots of amenities, and the location was so close to so many things. The information pamphlet helped direct us to multiple places we wanted to go so we could quickly check a lot off our list and explore Kyoto in a short time. The beds were comfortable and the shower was nice with strong water pressure and warm water. Overall a great experience.

• KateKong (6/5): - 住宿非常方便，再錦市場3分鐘路程，間隔舒服，洗手間亦非常舒適，不過在checkin 方便較為麻煩，在不同地方check in 地點很難找，我帶着小孩足足揾了一小時，希望尋求幫助，但房東在五小時很才回覆！如果只是大人入住是沒有問題，不過有小孩就要細聲説話，因為房間回音很大，樓上樓下講嘢都聽得一清二楚
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Während unserer Rundreise durch Japan, haben wir hier die beste Unterkunft gehabt. Prima check-in + Transfer. Sauber, modern und trotzdem traditionell. Mitten in Nishiki - nur wenige Meter in die Nishiki Food Markets - und doch ruhig. Mini-Superstores und Restaurants ums Eck wie auch Underground- Station. 4 Nächte waren wir hier ZU HAUS.
