Guest Reviews
- MATTHEW (2/5): - Booked this hotel in February 2025 for a May trip. The elevator was not noted as being out of service at that time. The hotel would not refund the booking, so be aware that if you book 1 night or a year, you don't get a refund. PERIOD. Expedia was of no help and for them to allow hotels on their site with such a hideous no refund policy is absurd. Hotel floors are 4th and 5th so you carry your luggage up 5 flights and anything you do, requires 5 flights down and back up. Might be okay in a pinch but I do not recommend this facility. Enough dust under the beds to choke a mule. All sorts of policies that are not enforced, like people smoking on the floor and it comes into your room via the door gaps. Noise from gatherings on the floor by the elevator where the only real reception to wifi is available. Guards are nice and service people are nice. Desk and manager strict on food purchase and no refund.
- Belen (4/5): - We stayed in 4th floor and the elevator was not working
- Richard (2/5): Don't stay there. - The aircon did not work. The host was very unfriendly, elevator was out of service. Had to climb 4 flights of stairs. They would not give a refund so I could go to a note hote, I stayed there before then nice, now not so good.
- DENNIS (2/5): - No microwave, sweltering hot, AC not enough for the size and I’ve been bitten by bed bugs, lazy staff (Loribel - supervisor apparently) and bed bug infested
- John andrew (2/5): Broken elevator - We didn’t even last staying for an hour. Elevator not working and we are not informed about it. We have to used the stairs to reach 4th floor while carrying our big luggage’s. My parents are old and cannot walk this high. Considering that we came from California. It was just so bad that they don’t care at all. I guess all they care is that they got paid. Never again will I used this hotel.
- Joel (8/5): - They should fix the Elevator.
- Gregory (4/5): - I would only stay at this property again as a last resort. Just best not good for seniors as the elevator hasn’t worked for years. But it was OK to stay for one night since it was close to the airport.
- Dina (2/5): - Employees don’t have empathy. Elevator is not working for most of my stay! Sucks that we have old people with us and we need to take stairs to 5th floor. Probably my last time staying here. Just a piece of crap!
- Edward (2/5): - Check-in staff very surly and unfriendly, and could not locate my reservation in their system, which appeared to be crashed or inoperative. Walls and room floor filthy, paint peeling and discolored. No bathroom tissue or anything else in room. No toothbrush in stock in entire hotel. Overall, horrible.
- Verified traveler (6/5): room needs upgrading - Location of the hotel is excellent. It is centrally located so food and transportation are easily accessible for hotel guests. However, the room that I stayed-in needs upgrading. Chipped-off wall and ceiling paints, bathroom doesn't have a shower curtain so it makes the entire restroom wet. The bathroom tiles are old and dirty-looking because of the missing grout on some parts of the walled tiles. Good thing they have a comfortable bed so I was able to sleep despite the hotel's noisy air-conditioning system.
- Leonard (4/5): - Worn down and dirty
- Jocelyn (6/5): Family of 5 adults - stayed for 1 night - A family of 5 adults but we received only 1 very small roll of toilet paper so I asked for more but we had to pay for additional. There were only 2 drinking glasses in the room and I received a bill for bottles of water that I did not order nor receive. The aircon was broken, it was freezing cold so we tried to adjust the temperature, the aircon thermometer showed 27 degrees but the real temperature in the room was about 16 degrees. There were loud disturbing noises in the corridor that sounded every hour i think, if not less. The sounds from other guests in the corridor were also very disturbing.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Find somewhere else... - I feel bad leaving a terrible review because they let us check in super early to leave our luggage and head out to the reef. But, it was really bad. There was mold growing feet down from the a/c and the walls were peeling and yellowed. It was so loud too, during the day from kids screaming in the hallway and at night for some sort of intervention happening a few doors up. I should have figured since it was so cheap, but I wanted to be near the bank, port, and mangroves. It's easy to get around on triciclos, so I encourage you to book elsewhere knowing transportation will not be a problem.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - liked the place
- Mike (4/5): - Poor customer service , noisy and dirty
- Verified traveler (8/5): - the hotel was quite nice compared to other hotels in the City.
- frenchull (4/5): - Well located, everythingbwould need to be changed and/or renewed. Beds are old, blankets super used, no in-room internet
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bad customer service- surly staff -nothing more to say
- barrc2112 (2/5): Think twice - This hotel needs a serious remodel!! The painted baseboards in our room were no longer painted. You receive two bath towels and no hand towels or wash clothes. No bottle water in room or water glasses. If you want cheap this is the way to go. The power kept going out all night and a few time in the morning. And of course the elevator was not in service so from the fifth floor not a pleasant experience.
- iGURUt (8/5): Budget- No Pretentions - This hotel is at the heart of the city and is offering cheap but okay accommodations. The room is big, the ACU is strong, elevators functioning, staff efficient- only issue I have is the very strong smell of cigarette.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Really dissapointing thats all
- Verified traveler (6/5): - accessible
- leslieeatsandburps (4/5): Room was ok but the staff... - The room was alright. The elevator is not working most of the time. The staff are either extremely unwillingly unhelpful or willing but did not know what they were doing. The morning receptionist would rather play with her phone than talk to hotel guests who needed her help.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - the staff were great, the place was clean the only downfall is the internet connection.
- mommygiay (6/5): Good access to downtown area - The hotel is located within the downtown area and has good access to fastfood restos, banks, church, groceries, market and just everything you need. If you're in Masbate for a business trip and not for the beach, this is a good place to stay.
The rooms are clean, with efficient airconditioning, hot water and cable TV. Though the water from the shower will later smell like deep-well water, the water faucet is not so maybe they are from different sources.
Room cleaning and change of linens is by request, there is no free breakfast. Anyway, Jollibee is conveniently just across the street.
Wifi is available at the lobby only. Staff are courteous and helpful.
Price is affordable. I booked a twin deluxe room at P1,200 per day.
Presidential room costs 1,400 per day, family room 1,500 and a single deluxe room is P1,000.
