Guest Reviews
- Cory (7/5): Excellent location, however customer service and cleanliness, not so much! - Location, overall amenities and layout were very good! As this is a loft style accommodation, cleaning the cobwebs up high should be done regularly, but was not (nor had it been for a while) prior to our arrival for an 8 night stay.
Bedroom wall with the vent above it was covered in dust and absolutely should have been cleaned. Slotted wall between the kitchen and bedroom also had a good build up of dust/webs up higher.
The above issue could have been remedied with a swifter and for the price we paid, we would have expected it to be a lot cleaner.
Sent a few emails about only having 1 working clothes hanger and a bedroom lamp bulb burnt out.
They responded that a request would be put in for additional hangers to be dropped off asap.
Sent another message the following day about when the hangers would be dropped off and only received a 👍🏻 emoji.
Came back later and 3 hangers had been left on the kitchen table but never had the light bulb changed in the bedroom, nor did we ever hear back about that for the rest of our stay.
Shower was great but could be an issue for anyone with grip challenges when turning the tap on and off.
Steaming YouTube on the TV was problematic but fine on our laptop so not sure what’s going in there.

- Kathleen (9/5): - The apartment was very quiet, lovely, and conveniently located. Just one complaint: The registration /check in process was overly cumbersome. We were supposed to fill out a registration form; the only info it asked for that the host didn't already have was "gender" and our car license number (though there was no on-site parking). The host did not need this information, and the form could only be obtained via email- not through Booking.com or text. Since my email was not working, filling out the form became a very cumbersome and worrisome process. The form really isn't necessary, but if the host insists on it, it should be made available through Booking.com as well as email.
- Julie (7/5): Bien - Bon emplacement près des attractions touristiques et d’un parking couvert . Pas de plateau d’accueil (un peu de café au minimum aurait été apprécié) pas de couverture en plus.
- Amy (7/5): - Excellent location, size of the unit was really comfortable, the space was clean, easy to access. The unit was comfortable but I would have rated it higher if there were tea towels, throw pillows, throw blankets, or hangers. There was only 1 hanger and none of the other items mentioned.
- Maria (9/5): -
- Ryan (9/5): Great location in the heart of old Quebec - Location Shower was a little difficult
- Bernadette (10/5): Prefect place to stay in Quebec. - We stayed for a week and we found the location excellent. It was nice being on a quiet street near everything. Very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen seemed well stocked, however, we did not cook there. We didn't find the little QR code that explained everything till the day before we left. Thankfully my husband was able to figure out the TV. Bed was very comfortable and water pressure excellent. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay. We picked it mainly as there were no stairs needed to get in and out. Being older we figured after a day of walking the last thing we would want is more stairs to go up and down. A roll of paper towels in the kitchen would have been a nice extra as we kept forgetting to grab napkins from restruants when we brought back leftovers. Maybe a little throw blanket for the couch area for after a long day out when just relaxing.
- francis (8/5): - La propreté , la proximité de tout …..magasin resto pub La douche qui a coulée toute la nuit même étant fermé .
- Celsa (9/5): - Couldn't have asked for a better location. Perfect for a quiet stay while still being in the centre of the main attractions
- Allen (8/5): Great location, romantic evening and wonderful city. - Great location and peaceful Access was difficult. We waited on the street for 30 min to get access, likely due to a personnel error in sending the email. They added a period on my email and the code never arrived until I called twice to discover and correct the error. Strange given I had originally set the right email. Nevertheless less, the trip was great and the property itself was very nice
- Theresa (9/5): Loved it - Excellent location Shower controls were difficult to work
- Melissa (6/5): - Very clean and updated. Inside it’s a very dark colour palate. Lighting is not the greatest with all the dark colours. Bathroom lighting very dark as well. As with most areas in Old Quebec, parking is at a premium. Right around the corner is umbrella alley and petit Champlain. Very close to walk to places
- Eng Joo (5/5): Excellent location but bad taste in my mouth on indecisiveness to allow a 2 hour extended checkout - Location Inflexibility. Undecicive in making a decision for an extended 2 hour check out n even wanting to charge for it, the first time in my 20 years travel I came across such mercenary action.
- GIULIA (9/5): -
- Anna (10/5): - Location
- Michel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ute (9/5): Superb - Perfect location and facilities were wonderful
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Maris (8/5): - Overall very nice place.
- Yuet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (10/5): - They to cover the window fully the streetlight is too bright and for someone who likes to sleep in complete darkness it’s hard to sleep. Or the bedroom has to have blinds that closes fully.
- Peter (8/5): Nice place & location just wish we could drop bags at the property. - We didn't like that we had to drop off our bags at a remote location. It ended up costing two Uber rides and lost some site seeing time.
- ZAKIR (10/5): - Property was beautiful and super clean, in the heart of everything !! I just wish the tv had good connection to be able to connect to Netflix
- DOROTHY (10/5): - This place is superbly located and we loved strolling around this beautiful village. It was very convenient to the tour pickup, cruise port and so many restaurants and things to see. The room was spacious with a well equipped kitchen. Only soap is provided in bathroom and my only criticism is that the lighting in the bathroom is too dim.
- Donald (9/5): We enjoyed being in the lower part of Old Quebec (stair masters!). - Excellent location. Quiet at night. You need to upgrade the wifi. It is extremely slow.
- Jennifer (10/5): Out lift was well apointed, in an amazing location and perfect for a couples get away. Will definitely be back to stay. - The location was epic. Private entrance. The shower controls were tough to navigate and one end fell off.
I also suggest leaving some laundry detergent and more towels and wash clothes.
- Karen (10/5): Perfect loft in town center - Location was perfect, right in the center of town. The loft was roomy, comfortable and had everything needed for a comfortable stay.
- Joe (10/5): - The location was perfect. Quiet street but close to so many things
- Jill (10/5): - Loved this location. Very clean and well equipped. Close to everything. Parked in covered parking garage down the street and was close and reasonably price.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (8/5): Stay at this loft! The location is great and the hosts were very easy to communicate with - My husband and I spent 5 days in Quebec City and really loved this location! It was easy for us to walk all around Old Quebec and it was a quick walk (about 15 - 20 minutes) to the Saint-Roch neighborhood, which is where we had some of our favorite dinners. I will say that this location is in the lower part of Old Quebec, so we did need to walk up the steps a few times a day to get to the upper part and to Saint-Roch. We're both in decent shape, and I was able to do this at 28 weeks pregnant - but for anyone who may have trouble with steep hills and stairs, you may want to consider staying in the upper part of the City (unless you're ok paying for the funicular, which is $10 USD per trip). Because of the location, we were able to go back to the loft easily for quick breaks or to freshen up. The loft itself was very clean and had the basic amenities that we needed. We did message the host after our first night in the loft to see if there is any way to turn off the lights that are outside the loft in the entryway. The loft does have very good, blackout curtains for the windows; however there is a slim side window that is not covered by the curtains that lets in a good amount of light into the loft. Because of how the loft is set up, there is no way to block the light from filtering into the bedroom area. The host messaged back to let us know there is no way to turn off those lights and suggested we try to find a way to pull the two curtains closer together. They also mentioned they have never had this complaint before...so maybe it's not a big deal for most people, but I wanted to mention it because I don't have trouble sleeping but found the light to be an issue. We were able to use one of my hair clips to pull the curtains together close to the top, which helped a lot. I ended up forgetting to grab my hair clip before we left, so maybe it's still there for someone else to use!
- Eric (10/5): - Tres bien situé dans le quartier touristique du petit Champlain. Nous avions appréciés le style appartement avec tous ses accessoires et son accès direct (une seule marche pour accéder au loft.
- Nicky (9/5): Superb - Perfect location. All facilities we would require. Good provision of toiletries, towels etc. Comfortable bed No information about area or instructions on how to use t.v. etc.
- Wesley (10/5): Spectacular location, safe, great space, just like the photos. We would stay again in an instant - Great location. You can't beat it. Spectacular and the suite really is lovely. Lower town, main floor, short 2-minute walk to the funicular taking you to the Chateau Frontenac and the Upper Town. Looks just like the photos. The queen bed was comfortable. We felt safe, the door locks as you shut it and there is a code to get in. As well there is a chain on the door. Curtains block off the street and the light. Excellent shower. There is also a washer and dryer. Several pubs and restaurants are close by. We would stay again and highly recommend it. Surprisingly quiet too. There is very little we did not like. We do have suggestions but it's only because we have an AirBnB. We would highly suggest a few more clothes hangers. Just about 12 more regular hangers. 4 is not enough for 2 people. There were coffee filters and sugar but no coffee. There is literally nowhere to buy any food or ground coffee except for a store a block from the Chateau and that is a hike. Because of this, it would be good to have some coffee for guests but definitely not a deal breaker. We had some with us as we had read there were no stores nearby. Finally, some detergent to do a load of washing with. It's great that there is a washer and dryer but like the coffee maker there is nowhere to buy detergent and guests just need a little. These would make it even better but it really is a great place.
- Martin (10/5): - Gréât location middle of everything
- Andrea (8/5): Location in the historic town is the best! - The location in the historic town can not be beat.
We were able to walk everywhere, including our favorite restaurant for breakfast, Le Cochon Dingue. Coffee shops, many restaurants and shops are just a few steps away. Around the corner, you are right by the river or look up to the Chateau. The cobbled streets are adorable.
The bed is comfortable.
The bathroom is small, but the shower is wonderful. It has great water pressure.
The kitchen has all the utensils you need to prepare any meal.
Bring all groceries and condiments, as well as tea and coffee, sugar, and spices, though. Being on the ground level, the curtains had to be drawn at night when the lights were on. Otherwise, pedestrians walking by could see everything.
There are no dressers in the bedroom, just an open shelf unit with four hangers, of which one of them was broken.
- Ryanww (1/5): There are strangers broke into out room at 5:50 a.m. It is very scary and I couldn't sleep anymore. - There are strangers who we don't know broke into out room at 5:50 a.m.
It is very scary and dangerous that we were all in sleeping at that time and didn't see the face of them.
The hotel didn't say anything about who has the access to the room.
And very unactively dealing with this matter.
Also, I called the customer number right after this happened but a man picked up and then hang up immediately. This is unacceptable and very rude.
I don't even know whether anything has been stolen or not. I feel very scary and couldn't go back to sleep anymore.
This is a horrible experience and I won't recommend choosing this hotel again.
- Daniel (10/5): - Great location
- Cynthia (10/5): We’d stay here again in a heartbeat. - Very roomy. Right in the middle of the wonderful old section. Very quiet and terrific when the tourists go home … you can wander as if it’s your own neighborhood. The kitchen is well appointed, the ceilings are high and lofty and the interior selections are all modern and current. Parking was convenient at the dock and it was $30 per day. Not one complaint!!
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marc (9/5): Superb -
- Kuzmin-o'neill (10/5): Exceptional - I was told I would receive a $300 refund of the security deposit. You told it was refunded on 6/16, yet it was never refunded.
- Samuel (10/5): Ideal location - Ideal location with walking distance to any attraction.
Clean and cozy room
- Mitchell (8/5): Very good -
- Pierre (10/5): Parfait. - Emplacement parfait, studio très propre et vraiment bien aménagé.
- Donna (8/5): Would book through Les Lofts Vieux Quebec again. -
- Annabelle (6/5): - It wasn’t clearly indicated where to put in the code. We had to call multiple times to know the code and where to enter it. The thermostat didn’t work below 74. It was so warm all night we barely slept. For that price it wasn’t worth it
- Mark (8/5): Great stay and location! - Beautifully designed contemporary apartment. Very nice use of colors and wood. Full kitchen and laundry worked great for us as we were there for four days. We’ll stocked kitchenware and utensils.
Location was wonderful. Many restaurants and shopping within a few blocks. These are not negatives, just suggestions -
Make sure to go grocery shopping first as there’s nothing close. Aside from food you should pickup paper towels and laundry detergent.
Bring a warm blanket for watching TV. The one that was there was quite light and as it was Christmastime it gets chilly near the windows.
There is no parking but you can pull the car right to the door for unloading. The best 24-hour parking is the parking garage at 50, RUE DALHOUSIE which is no more than a 10-minute walk. Once you park you won’t need your car again.
Bring ear plugs for sleep. It’s not necessarily a noisy area but the occasional walking conversation or movement above in adjoining apartments may temporarily annoy.
Bring hangers for clothes. There were only a few and there are just a few shelves to put clothes on.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Stay - This would be my second choice in Old Quebec. Nice and comfortable. Only suggestion is to have blinds in the bedroom because they have an area that has ‘slats’ and open to the kitchen allowing light in. I would still stay again for the ‘right price’
- Catherine (9/5): awesome place! lucky find! - Great location right near the old port. Many nearby restaurants and wonderful galleries to browse. comfy bed, LAUNDRY, great shower (not a given - even expensive places often have incredibly lousy showers), nice kitchen and sitting areas. A wonderful base of operations! lots of electrical outlets which is much appreciated to charge watches, phones, extra batteries, cameras, AirPods, laptops etc… Internet could be faster: it was not terrible but not exactly High Speed either.
air conditioning system worked wonderfully during the hot weather but the controls were very confusing (there were several controllers - not sure which one controlled what). when the weather turned chilly, it would have been nice to have a bit of heat.
- C (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, spacious, nicely equipped The bed hurt my back a little
- Sylvia (10/5): - My mom and I stayed here for 4 nights and relatively enjoyed staying here except for one incident that happened on our first night. Having a washer and dryer helped with packing less clothes for a long weekend stay. The location is perfect! We were walking to distance to most of the top tourist sights, food, and love how it empties out at night.
Other reviewers have commented on how close you are to the outside and they were not kidding! I completely ignored that, but it actually bothered us at the end. You can't keep those curtains open at all without the pedestrians looking in in your apartment! Its just those gigantic windows and curtains that separate you from the outside. We actually had one scary night, where someone was just punching in random code numbers to open the door! We called it in 2x only to find out that it was one of their new staff who didn't know which door to get into at 10pm! Let's just say that it was hard to sleep after that episode.
I would definitely still recommend Les Lofts because I love the amenities and location, but I would recommend staying in some of their other locations still close to the one we stayed at!
- mathieu (10/5): - très bel emplacement et super loft!!
- Tracey (10/5): Beautiful, super clean apartment, but…. - This apartment is almost perfect - super, super clean, modern design, all the amenities you could want, really great location. Only downside? It’s a main floor with big windows on a pretty high traffic pedestrian street, so if you don’t want to feel like you are in a fish bowl, you need to close the blinds all the time. Totally fine if you are just looking for somewhere to sleep or don’t mind a dark space, but if you want to hang out during the day with some natural light, you might want a different spot.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Gorgeous apt we highly recommend.
- Marie-Michelle (10/5): Séjour parfait - Séjour parfait. Très bien situé. Belle grandeur. Très bien équipé.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The loft was in a great location. Walking distance to all the sites, bars and restaurants.
- Matthew (10/5): Amazing Location - Beautiful apartment perfectly located in the heart of the lower old town. Street is not accessible by car during 1100-2400 so you'll need to walk an easy block or 2 to get there. Funicular to upper town is a short 2 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants and shopping. Boutique grocery store across the street and convenience store in the gas station 0.2mi up the road. Bar at the end of the block can generate some noise by spirited passers-by late in the evening but the curtains help. Excellent shower, new appliances and a nice luxury to have your own washer and dryer in the building.
- KCWood (6/5): - Though the loft was nice and in a quiet area, it was not the property for me. The black out curtians are not long enough so light bleeds through at night and the decorative slates that separate the kitchen from the bedroom do not close so if light bothers you, bring your sleep mask. I also was put off being asked to load and start the dishwasher & washing machines before I left. I was told not to worry housekeeping would do it for me at no charge. The guide book needs an update as it asks you to hang a door hanger when you leave, did not apply to this property and the instructions to the shower need to be updated too as the photo did not match the actual shower at this address. Customer service was excellent from all that answered my questions even before I arrived. Don’t get me wrong, the loft is very nice, I just prefer the hotel experience and was not aware this was like an air B&B.
- April (10/5): Our little happy place! - We loved our stay, this second time here. We have already booked next year. Location is fantastic! Definitely go to Fou de Bio across the way for amazing quality, great service, and a 10% discount. Uncle Antoines is another bonus for staying here!
The sofa seems to be showing some wear in that the cushions would slide off. FYI the first aid kit needs replenishment as we needed a bandaid. Honestly, everything was perfect and we can’t wait to return next year!
- Richard H. (10/5): Great location in a great little city - Quebec City is a very easy place to stay without a car as it is small enough to walk anywhere within 15 minutes. This property is in the "old town" lower area of the city, 3 minute walk from the funicular, with restaurants and shops everywhere.
The apartment (they call it a loft, but it's not) is at street level and appears to be a converted office. It is very modern and well-appointed. For me, a nice feature is that it is keyless. They give you an access code before check-in time and all you need is to remember the 4-number code.
It is operated by a company that has several properties in the city, and they are available by phone with any questions/concerns. We were very satisfied.
- Ronald (10/5): Great value. - Great location and a great value. Would highly recommend to others.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I was glad that it was close to everything and very clean.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Beautiful apartment in a great location! - This was our first time in Quebec and we are so glad we stayed here. Great location in Old City Quebec near restaurants and shopping. Also a quick walk to the shore. Even though this apartment was on the ground floor, it felt private and the apartment had everything we needed. If I had to say one negative, it would be that if you don't want passersby looking in, you can't open the curtain.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - great location great amenities comfortable and stylish.
even with the shades drawn, it was a little too bright in the bedroom from the streetlight would be perfect if there was a curtain for the bedroom ‘window’
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved the location and interior decor of the place!
- Jason (8/5): Terrible WiFi service - We very much enjoyed our stay. Our only complaint was the internet was very weak, and wouldn’t stay connected to devices- including the tv. It was very frustrating.
- David (10/5): - Great location! The apartment was well equipped with everything we needed. Parking was about $20 per day in the covered garage at 50 Dalhousie St.
- Gina (10/5): Perfect Holiday Escape - Les Lofts Champlain was the PERFECT place to stay for a romantic weekend in Quebec over Christmas. With walking access to shops, restaurants, bars, activities and the Christmas Markets, this place was amazing. The loft opens to an adorable street with a market, restaurant, and bar near by. The loft has a full kitchen, bathroom, living room and washing machine, perfect for a longer stay and when you want to snuggle up after walking the cold all day. We loved this place and hope to return next holiday!
- Tong (10/5): - This is a great loft!
- Bill (10/5): Gem in the Old Town - Best location in the old town. Within walking distance of many great restaurants, bars and shopping. The apartment was clean and had everything we would need including cooking facilities. I would highly recommend this hotel/apartment to anyone wanting to be close to the action in the old town.
- Kathy (10/5): - I highly recommend this stay! We were leaving on a cruise from Quebec City and this location was a convenient easy walk to the cruise terminal. It was also in the midst of “old town” for excellent sight seeing. The apartment style accommodations were perfect!
- Candace (10/5): Great place to see Old Quebec City - Great location in Old Quebec City. Near restaurants, shopping, bars, and city sights. Fully equipped unit, with washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave and fully equipped kichen. Near a small market and a 10 minute walk to a larger one. Everything seemed brand new, from appliances, furniture and shower and bathroom fixtures.
- Sam (10/5): - Best location! Really nice place!
Verrrrrryyyyy niceeee
- Charles (10/5): - The location is Old Quebec was superb. Really cool modern style, high ceiling and separate bedroom was great. Price vs quality very good deal. Door right onto the street was also appreciated. Kitchen was well equipped and complete, would make a longer stay very practical. We shall return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful space in an amazing location!
- Amy (10/5): A Charming Stay - This lovely 1 bedroom apartment in historic old town Quebec is a gem. Located in an historic building around the corner from the Place Royal and steps from the Funicular and shopping on Rue du Petit Champlain, this was the perfect spot for exploring the City. It is clean and contemporary and contains everything for a comfortable stay - kitchen, dishwasher, dishes and cutlery, microwave, comfy bed, even a washer/dryer. While there is no concierge or staff on-site, whenever we had a question, it was answered promptly by phone or email. Be aware that there is no daily maid service, though you can request it for an added fee. There are many good restaurants nearby and a small gourmet grocery across the way. It was so nice here, we were sad to leave. We will definitely stay here again.
- Brittany (10/5): Perfect location, modern but yet cozy! - The location was perfect, right in the old city close to water and on the same street as restaurants, bars and shopping. The place was modern and cozy with beautiful furnishings and special touches. Perfect for two. This is not a hotel but more of an apartment (meaning there is no hotel reception area. With the code, we walked right into our beautiful place which was extremely convenient!) We felt like locals walking into our flat right off of the street. The windows looking onto the street were big and amazing, letting in plenty of natural light and great to enjoy some wine on the couch and enjoy the picturesque little street. Overall very pleased, I will definitely be back!
- Michael (10/5): Wonderful Location - I booked this hotel for my parents anniversary, they came back with a glowing review! Access was very easy, just enter the code provided. Room had great amenities, bathroom was wonderful, location location location!
- Kellie (10/5): - Excellent place in a great location. Highly recommend
- Kellie (10/5): Awesome experience - This place is a one bedroom apartment in a great location. The one issue that we had they came over and fixed within 30 minutes of our call. We actually stayed an extra day because Quebec and the room were so great
- Chris G (8/5): Street front Loft - Location, location, location. Located in the pedestrian zone of St. Pierre street, 100 meters from the "Funiculaire"to upper city and Chateau Frontenac.
There is no staff, just a inyercome to check in and get the access code. I would definitely stay there again.
- Emilie (10/5): Wonderful hotel in the heart of old Quebec - Beautifuly styled loft that was fully equipped with kitchen and everything you could need. The location was prefect. There was a bit of noise from upstairs but it is a historic building so to be expected! Highly recommended.
- Jennifer (10/5): A great stay after an initial hiccup. - The apartment was beautiful - immaculately clean, well equipped, comfortable and in a great location. We would have stayed longer if we could. The only issue we had was getting into it in the first place - the door was accessed via a keypad, and the number we were given was wrong. Because the street is pedestrian from 11am onwards, we were unable to park outside the place, which meant a lot of trotting up and down, and increasingly irritable conversations trying to get the right number and the right instructions. Clearer instructions about the ability to park while unloading, and a knowledge of the correct number, would have helped. However, once this hurdle was cleared, the rest was plain sailing and we had a terrific stay.
- virendra (10/5): petit secret - perfect, location ,price, size , we really liked it!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It is a fabulous location and a beautiful apartment. The apartment is well supplied. They need to fix the pipes and thin walls or bring your earplugs. The answer service after office hours is useless.
- Jamie (10/5): Great Loft in the heart of the city - The loft seems like it was just renovated top to bottom. Very modern, comfortable and clean. When we booked this loft the owners (or managers) where very prompt in replying to any questions we had. It is located in the heart of Old Quebec City, a short stroll from the Funicular that will take you up to The Chateau Frontenac. We would definitely return.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Beautiful loft - This location is not a hotel. It has a separate entrance to a suite with a kitchenette. Extremely clean and the location was exceptional. I would stay there again.
