• Katie (9/5): Lovely hotel, especially if you get a good deal. Don’t expect the Ritz. We would stay there again and would recommend. - The staff were so wonderful and the location was perfect. It’s an older hotel/building and hasn’t seen any updates in decades if I had to guess, but we liked the vibe. Breakfast every morning was wonderful too! The on site onsen was also lovely and a perfect place to learn before we headed out to the nearby public bath houses. The sleeping pads are very thin so for a full sized adult it was a bit tough on the back and hips, even doubling up. The comforters were down and cozy but do look a little on the old side.

• Lukasz (9/5): - The accommodation and room were great — very nice traditional old-style building but still functional and comfortable. The location is excellent, super close to everything in Nozawa and easy to walk everywhere, plus a shuttle was provided which was very convenient. The only downside for us was the breakfast. It might be a plus for some people, but we found it quite weak on Japanese options — it would be nice to see more local food. Other than that, everything was great and we really enjoyed our stay.

Breakfast was good and had a good variety of Japanese and western cuisine. Rooms definitely need an update. Super dated and quite run down. Everything was clean but had a few issues with the bathroom. The bathroom had a strong sewage smell to it and the shower head was leaking so much more water was coming out the hose fitting than the shower head itself. Only a 1 night stay for us so wasn’t a big deal.

Pretty decent spot and easy to get to the gondolas if you decide to walk , took roughly 5 min to Yu-walkway and 10-15 to Nagasaka Gondola for me. They do offer shuttle service to Nagasaka Gondola too! Great snowboard and ski storages downstairs. No extra towels in onsen area

They have a range of rooms from budget Japanese rooms with shared bathrooms to western style rooms with en-suite bathroom. Very welcoming and helpful staff! All speak perfect English and always ready to help with any of your queries. The hotel has its own onsen which is very clean and has showers and a changing room unlike many other more traditional onsens in the village. The hotel also offers shuttle to the gondolas, which you need to book in advance as it gets filled quickly! Very good breakfast! Will definitely come back and stay here again! Thank you for making our stay at Nozawaonsen so nice!

Beautiful view from the room, corridor + bathroom. Dinner and breakfast were an extensive set menu of Japanese dishes with a variety of meat, fish & vegetables, rice & soup. Staff were friendly and some spoke English. This hotel and the whole area is very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and just wish we could have stayed for a few days longer! Remember this is a quiet mountain town and most people are early to bed & early to rise. The evening meal is at 6:00 or 6:30 p.m., don't be late. There is no bar in the hotel and not much open in the town in the evening (we were there in April).

The location was really nice ans confidently located to the town and to the ski resort. Really enjoyed our stay here. No complaints.

There was a pathway opposite the hotel that takes you the back way through the village to the Yu Walk. - the onsen and Japanese style accommodation. the room was quite big. Futon was a little thin making it somewhat of a hard sleep but there were more futons in the room so we doubled up on futons and quilts to make soft fluffy bedding which turned out to be really comfortable.

They provide kids version, which is great for my son. 1) Broken facility in onsen, There are 6 shower head, out of 6, 3 I cannot control the temperature of the water coming out from the shower. So only 3 usable shower head in the onsen area. There is a good view overseeing Nozawa Onsen ski area. But some tiles on the floor and walls are broken. 2) Noisy drunk people making loud noises in play room. They dont provide a place to keep our luggage. Luggage is kept in the play room with bunch of drunken people. Also, I can hear drunk people shouting from street at 11pm from my room.

The view from the corner room at 5th floor was perfect and gave my parents a - Location was alright, not the heart of Nozawa but it’s still pretty good considering it’s only 10 mins walk from the main attractions. One of the staff welcoming and checking us in could’ve been friendlier, maybe also share where breakfast will be, where the onsen is, or order places of the stay? I felt like we had to find these places ourselves or could even ask .. but some initiative from front desk receptionist would be good :) smiling a little under the mask too would be reflected in the eyes.

The staff is very friendly and helpful (they made restaurant & massage reservations for us). We had the traditional japanese style room, which was clean and equipped with everything you need. I liked the Onsen as well (nice view on the village). Would recommend. The ladies‘ onsen was not as tidy as we have seen in other onsens. Even tough the view from the onsen is great, the windows should be cleaned more regularly.

• Seyoung (1/5): worst accomondation in Nozawa. never choose them - they hava a good view bath was out of order, we had to take freezing cold shower in this winter wonderland for 3 days. not very neat, I’m allergic to house dust and I got allergic symptoms while my staying. staffs called to ask about breakfast in the morning and that calls made is wake up. staffs need to have a system sharing customer’s request, so customers do not need to say the same thing over and over.
