• Greg (3/5): - The location and the staff remain excellent and were consistent with my previous stays. The rooms appear somewhat degraded since my last stay. Some things understandably just happen, like the toilet roll holder falling off the wall. But other things, like a large accumulation of mould in the shower are preventable. It just didn’t feel clean. Other guests in my party staying in adjoining rooms indicated my experience was not unique. I’m sorry to say I was disappointed, it was a substantial downgrade since the last time I stayed - on previous occasions the cleanliness was 10/10.

• George (5/5): Initially checked into room 6, shower recess was filthy, got moved to room 7 which was ok but that had the bug problem l - Its average. It’s was dirty and there were bugs in room coming through the vents.
• Merja (1/5): Terrible - Nothing The whole experience was bad. We requested an early check in for 2pm, which was approved but when we arrived the room was not ready for an hour. The bathroom was mouldy, the bed linen was stained, the room was unclean. We left the accommodation to stay elsewhere and the we have not been successful obtaining a refund.
• Rojer (9/5): All round excellent, lovely cold beer,great atmosphere! - Super friendly, helpful staff!!The meals were well presented and absolutely delicious!! No sheer curtain on the windows of the motel room as to have the blind up during the day for privacy.
• Catriona (7/5): Stay but be aware - not what is expected. - Good location. Excellent hot water, off street parking and reasonable size room. Ask every night for included continental breakfast! Don't request and collect from bar then no breakfast. Have to request room service. Door request sign does not work. Had to ask for bin to be emptied, floor vacuumed, toiletries refreshed and towels changed. Did bother about sheets. Don't expect any servicing of room (stay was for 10 nights) - need to request from bar night before. Very happy to assist but be spe cific as appeared to be very short staffed.

• Susan (2/5): The place is old, neglected and dirty. - It was a convenient location The bathroom was dirty. The shower didn’t drain. There were broken tiles in the bathroom nd the toilet pan was cracked. The spare pillows were put on top of a dusty cupboard and were therefore dirty.
• Florian (2/5): The motel needs an urgent update / renovation and is completely overpriced for what it offers. - I didn't have to sleep under a bridge The whole building and the room appeared to not have been updated since the 1970th. A very old bathroom, the shower screen was falling apart and there was not sufficient water pressure in either, hot and cold water taps. This applied to the shower and the basin. The carpet was sticky in places. The bar fridge was very noisy. The lock on the entry door was faulty, the whole cylinder turned with the key and the complete handle/lock moved from side to side. I had to ask staff to open up when I returned at night. There was no apology by staff but a mention that it opened first time for them, even when they acknowledged it is tricky at times. I paid $140 for this room and even at half price this would be overpriced. And considering the car parking needs to be upgraded as well, I think a complete knock down and rebuild is the only option here.

• Hugh Carlisle (8/5): Okay for a one night stop - The atmosphere and the food quality was very good. Excellent service from checkin and bar staff. The room was pretty basic and a little smelly on entry. Aircon took care of this, however it took ages to work out the aircon controller as the buttons were worn away (had to google aircon model to work it out). TV size bigger than expected. Bathroom clean but tired.

The rooms where warm and comfortable. - Meals and drinks are available at the attached hotel which has a relaxed atmoshere.Beds are comfortable with good quality bed linen. Rooms are clean and warm. The showers need refurbisher to bring then in line with the rest of room. Hot water needs to run for a long time before the water is hot.

Hotel food is good, generous and reasonable - The lady running the hotel/motel is lovely and we had a wonderful dinner in the adjoining pub. She is very knowledgeable about the wines of the local area. The bed was comfortable and and the view was good. To call it breakfast is a bit of a stretch, and the motel part is sorely in need of a little maintenance (peeling paint etc ) It is a million miles from luxury, but comfortable and clean. Loved the hotel side.
