• JT (8/5): Would stay again - overall the apartment is set to the 1990’s and the dishwasher didn’t work properly, however, I would stay there again as the apartment is in a great location and it is very large. Also I had communication with Compass 8 via email and was replied to within the hour.

• Russell (8/5): Amazing place, friendly welcome, great view, fun buggy we love staying here and have booked many times. Highly Recommend - The Buggy access is great. Pool close by and nice view with a BBQ and outside areas are comfortable. Kitchen is adequate and has A/C for those stinking hot days. Basically just Needs a clean, under beds and couches is full of dust, mould on side of couch near window and floors need a mop. Decor is a little dated and worn but is comfortable and all we need. Nothing bad or broken.
• Sheridan (8/5): - The location and view were amazing, large spacious apartment staff were friendly and helpful picking us up to and from the Airport. Great air-conditioning and buggy parking. No tea towels or facewashers provided at the property. There were old socks, cleaning gloves left around and used foil on the deck so it hadn't been cleaned properly before we arrived

• SACHIDA (9/5): Was great and the whole family enjoyed at the most. - Breakfast was easy to make in the apartment and all cooking utensils were there. Had some issues with the Buggy for Compass 8.

Thankfully have visted 3 times before staying at other accommodation, so still enjoyed - Balcony view was nice No air con in bedrooms Split wrong bed so twin bed in master room (not as requested) Dirty Should be advised access involves a lot of stairs to property Difficult to sleep at night with no air con in rooms, had to have air con on very high in lounge and leave bedroom doors at night open to allow circulation.

The bathroom was dirty especially the tub you could actually see the dirty rim from previous people the couch was torn, dirty as well floors were not clean I had to sweep the floors when we got in... then the thought went through my head how clean are the beds?....they were ok

Only little issues, the main tv remote main button was difficult to work and the cutlery draw was broken. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely return for another stay.

Has all the household appliances for a comfortable stay with a food clothes dryer The bathroom was quite dated and the apartment had a damp musty smell when we arrived.

• Demi (7/5): Lovely stay, has potential. - Great convenient location with a nice outlook. Included golf cart made it very easy to get around the island. Needs a deep clean, evidence of ceiling mould in the bathroom. The washing machine was dirty and ruined all our clothes, do not use!! Limited supplies - not enough toilet paper, no hand soap in the bathroom, no oil for cooking. Disappointing given the price.

The coffee pods were not provided for coffee machine & they didn’t sell them at the IGA. This was a bit disappointing for an avid coffee drinker from Melbourne!

• Paige (9/5): A great stay in a beautiful apartment - A great location, gorgeous views with a large balcony. The apartment was really spacious and the buggy was a fab additional extra to get around the island. I would absolutely stay again. The only small thing was the cleaners had used oven cleaner on the oven trays and then applied foil over the top and by the time we realised this the shop was closed so we could not buy any more kitchen foil which made it a bit tricky to cook on the oven trays as they had cleaning products on them.
• Keith (10/5): A great weeks stay at Hamilton Island Compass Point 8 - What a lovely apartment. Very comfortable, with all the facilities you would need for your stay. Dean who met us at the airport with our buggy, was always available if we needed and ensured we met our ferry on time at the end of our stay. The Buggy was great, easy to charge and made the ventures around the Island really enjoyable. The best part was the wonderful views from the apartment which made the week we had complete.

• Stephanie (8/5): It’s not hard to relax - Location was great. Awesome view from verandah. Use of a golf buggy beneficial. Being met at airport was a nice way to start our holiday. On arrival at accommodation there was no milk in fridge so we had to go straight out to the IGA for supplies. There was only one key so if we wanted to do something and our daughter didn’t we had to be mindful of timing.
• Christine (10/5): Excellent location, accomm very comfortable with great views. - The location was fabulous we had a great view of the water from our deck, our unit was great and very comfortable and the pool was a welcome relief from the heat. Having the buggy really helps and being met at the airport on arrival was fabulous, we really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Compass Point 8. The beds really need replacing, springs are gone in the spare room and the main bedroom mattress sags. Would be handy to have some paper towel in the kitchen for cleaning the BBQ.

The team went above and beyond, providing airport pickup and drop-off, which made our arrival and departure stress-free and enjoyable. The service throughout our stay was top-notch—staff were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help. One of the highlights was definitely having a buggy! It was such a fun and convenient way to explore the island at our own pace. The buggy allowed us to easily get around and take in the stunning views and hidden spots. Overall, our stay was perfect. The level of service, the amenities, and the beautiful surroundings made it an unforgettable trip. I highly recommend Hamilton Island to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. None
• Russell (7/5): Nice alternative to staying on the resort side - Its a good option for those not wanting the hustle of the resort. Pickup and drop off to and from the Airport is excellent. Agent Fixing the buggy seat so that it was comfortable to use was much appreciated as having a buggy is awesome. View in the afternoon and having a pool to use without going to the resort is great. Rooms are spacious and view is good and relaxing space outside. Kitchen is big enough and plenty of space in the apartment Just a few minor things: Cleaners obviously never clean under the beds, about 2 years at least of dust underneath, I don't think the floor is ever mopped my feet were filthy just from walking around inside the house. The noise from the upstairs is annoying if you have children trying to sleep as the floors in the unit above are wood, and the occupants seem to run up and down on their heels or move furniture late at night.

• Tarynallen (9/5): Incredibly view and accomodation! - Absolutely incredible view and great to have the buggy included! The bed in the second bedroom definitely needs replacing as the other guests had trouble sleeping it was so uncomfortable.

• Emma (8/5): Gorgeous views, clean and tidy accommodation, fabulous service! - Location was SUPERB!!!!!!! A gorgeous apartment with spectacular views. Very clean and tidy too. The wifi was pretty bad. : ( Watching any sort of streaming program meant waiting for the screen to buffer every few seconds sometimes. We required two cots and only one was delivered but that was an easy fix and a second cot was promptly delivered. Our car seats weren't organised at all despite being paid for but I don't think this had anything to do with the property.

• Caroline (8/5): A beautiful sunny spot and great location! - The view, the decor, the beautiful north west aspect! The inclusion of a buggy was fantastic and the collection and drop off of luggage. We were also grateful for a later check out. Very noisy - could hear the neighbours upstairs any time they walked. Our beds were configured poorly - the main bed with views was set up with two singles. The smaller kids room set up as a double. The double beds were terribly old and squeaky - fine for children not for adults. They need replacing. The bathroom did not any ANY plugs - no baths for us! Not even a plug for the vanity sink. We didn’t bother asking as they are old enough for showers. A few things like salt and pepper and oil would be very handy for a self catered apartment. A coffee machine existed but no complimentary pods.
• Tarryn (7/5): A good place for a family stay, the sunsets were the best part. - The location was great, the size and amenities of the flat were good, but the best part was the deck where we could watch the sunset from. The flat was not clean. Dirt under beds, mouldy bathroom, and the beds were not comfortable.

• France (9/5): Great stay at Compass 8 - Inside the apartment was spacious and comfortable and the aircon worked well throughout our stay. We had a great view of the ocean from the main bedroom and balcony. We liked the big balcony and having a bbq. The pick up and drop off service were great and it was nice to have a buggy included for us to use for the week. Another great feature is having your own washing and dryer in the apartment. The beds in the second bedroom are a bit soft and springy.

Great venue and while we all know One Tree Hill is the spot for sunsets, absolutely nothing wrong with the sunsets from the balcony. As such we watch all of them from Compass8. Fixtures and fittings in the bathroom could really do with replacing.

• Rachoh (7/5): Peaceful with a lovely view - The guy who picked us up for at the airport had a sign with our names on it. He was easy to locate and friendly. He got us to our place quickly. I loved having a golf buggy to ride around the island in. Our buggy was great I just wish the indercaters had a sound to tell you it was still on. The view from our deck was so perfect. Every night we watched beautiful sun sets. I so loved our stay. The kitchen had all we needed to make meals. Maybe a new sharp knife would be helpful. The beds were comfortable. We had asked for 2 kings but we got 2 singles in one room and 1 king in the other room. There were no sheets to set up the singles as a king. Over all I enjoyed our stay there were just a few little details that were missed. The place was clean with a great view and a well set up kitchen. We were only given 2 bath towels and 2 beach towels. I would have been nice to have 2 bath towels per person so we could wash one and use while we used the other. Some more tea towels would be good as we only had one for 7 days. We did not get any hand towels provided. These are not majors and we could have asked for more but we felt to embarrassed and were not use if we could have more.

The location was beautiful and the apartment was comfortabl - the location and comfort was lovely and as a family of 4 we would happily stay again. The sound from upstairs neighbours were louder than I thought. You could hear every footstep. A few little things like bad wifi, flat batteries in the remotes and leaky toilet, back seatbelt on the buggy was sticky etc but all little things that didn’t negatively effect our holiday in general. It was still a lovely and comfortable apartment for our week. we BBQ’ed on the deck every night and swam in the pool every morning. The staff were lovely and helpful and friendly. We will definitely be staying again.

• Lisa (8/5): Beautiful Hamilton Island - Lovely location. Nice and quiet. Great having the buggy to drive around on. Very generous sized apartment. Very well equipped with everything you need. The unit is a little tired. Lovely big leather lounge that's in need of a good dust. A bit of an issue with hot water in the shower, it kept going cold. I didn't like the step up to the bath and the shower over the bath. The bathroom is plenty big enough to have separate bath and shower.

• Leesa (9/5): All the home comforts with an incredible view. - Very well equipped with all the home comforts including air conditioning, ceiling fans and everything you need in the kitchen. The beds were so comfortable. Two great decks with plenty of outdoor seating to relax and take in the incredible view. The pool was the perfect place for the kids to spend the day. Unable to access Wifi on the smart TV. Needed to charge the unit to access Wifi. Fortunately we had a compatible charger with us.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - The view is amazing and the amenities are great if you want to cook at home or have a barbecue. Having the golf buggy is an added bonus so you don’t have to hire one. The property is on the best side of the island.
