• Nicole (9/5): Quiet, lovely stay in Hahei. - Quiet, lovely stay in Hahei. Perfect location for us to then go explore Cathedral coves the next day! Amenities were as described and when we arrived quite late, the staff kindly provided details on a page left at reception for us. Place was clean and beds were comfy, a lovely cafe nearby for breakfast in the morning as wel.

• Kent (6/5): Better check tide time before booking - Close to Cathedral Cove and Hot water beach With low tide timed at 10am, a strict 10am check out time was enforced despite the accommodation not fully booked. Even 30 minutes would have been much appreciated. The room was full of mosquitoes. Need to get fly spray from the general store
• Luke (6/5): Very expensive lodging for a holiday park home in a good location. - Nice location which is a walk or short drive away from the beach. Is about a 20min walk uphill from Cathedral Cove drop-off point, which you could not park at while I was there (April). Close to brewery and some shops. Less a beach resort and more a holiday home park. The room was fine but it was very expensive for what was on offer (single room with a separate bathroom and shared outdoor area). My room (number 1) was next to what must be a residential property so there was some noise during the afternoon. This is by no means anyone's fault but it was not exactly quiet.

Immediately on the path to Cathedral Cove, immediately next to several small shops and a brewery (but tucked away up a driveway, so it felt totally secluded), a 5-minute walk to the beach, and a 10-minute drive to Hot Water Beach. The owner even let us borrow 2 spades for HWB when we checked out, and just trusted us to return them later! Absolutely lovely. I wish we’d stayed longer

• Kerry (10/5): Tatahi Lodge Beach - Tatahi Lodge is a wonderful gem of a small resort, nestled right in the middle of the village of Hahei. Our room was clean, spacious, cozy, and well appointed. The resort is located just steps away from two great cafes, an art gallery, a boutique, and the Cathedral Cove trail.

• Catherine (10/5): Beautiful stay in Hahei - The owner was incredibly helpful when we arrived and also managed to accommodate an early check in for us. The room was beautiful, bed was huge and comfortable and the garden out back was a nice touch. We also appreciated the beach towels that were provided. Location was very handy for beach and close to the nearby eateries and brewery. Highly recommend! The only thing was where the plugs were located in the room. The plugs were behind the bed so we had to move the mattress out to plug things in. A small price to pay for such a lovely stay!

• Kayakers42 (6/5): Tatahi Lodge @ Hahei Coromandel - We were disappointed with our accommodation at Tatahi Lodge. The room was clean with nice bed linen and towels and a good quality toaster and kettle. There was also a microwave and a fridge. However, at $298.00 p.night, it was totally let down by the fact that there was no sink in the kitchenette. A rubber collapsible tub was provided for doing dishes which involved ferrying water from the bathroom to the bench in the kitchenette. We feel that the price does not reflect the lack of this facility.

• Sylvia (8/5): Excellent beachside experience in Hahei - Each room is actually a little private bungalow, they were quiet and private and fully furnished with kitchen supplies, smart tv with Netflix, and even a BBQ. Location is excellent! Right near the beach, Cathedral Cove is a nice walk away from our rooms, theres a general store right outside for all your cooking needs. All in all, a very quaint little beach side experience! The rooms were clean, but they could have been cleaner. Some spots could do with a good dusting, and a deep clean of the carpet is in order.

The kitchen and bathroom facilities were very nice, the bed comfy and the location was great (close to everything in town, the beach and the Cathedral Cove walking trail. Nothing; it was wonderful.

• Discover797858 (10/5): Fabulous stay - Two night stay in the 2 bed ‘cottage’. All was wonderful, nicely furnished and equipped, comfy beds, private laundry facilities, outdoor furniture. Great location, easy walks to beach, shops and the cathedral cove walk. Friendly reception staff too. Hahei is a lovely area, we hope to return again…next time for longer.

• Happiness68574464490 (8/5): Basic triple room with shared bathroom for a family of 3. - Amazing location and the staff really add to the atmosphere. You seem to have to figue out how the shared living it works as you go, but eveyone appears to embrace it and it works. Our dauhter loved having other kids to play with. Bathroom facilities are old and tired and could do with some TLC.

Zero storage, only x4 coat hangers on wall hooks. The property is dated and old, needs a refresh. The outside area gardens are very tired.

• Jan (5/5): Lijkt me duidelijk, wi) komen er niet weer. - Het is een mooie locatie dicht bij Cathedral Cove in een mooie omgeving. De studio was schoon.en had een prima bed. Een kitchenette met koelkast, magnetron en waterkoker stond in de omschrijving. In werkelijkheid alleen die onderdelen, zonder kookplaat, zonder gootsteen. De “kitchenette” was e3n plank waar genoemde op stond. Een bord of kopje afwassen moest in de wastafel, waar het bord niet in paste. In de omgeving 2 restaurants waar je een burger kunt eten, een pizzeria en een restaurant met 4 “main courses” bestaande uit vis. Zelf koken kan niet: eet smakelijk. Hoewel schoon was de toiletpot zwart van binnen.

• flias13 (10/5): Great new experience for family - the location couldn't be better. Literally 1min walk from all the restaurants, shops. We stayed at the Tatahi backpackers lodge. At first this was a bit strange for my family. This was their first time on share house kind of thing. But all the concerns rapidly went away. The room was spacious, very clean and everything looks new. On first night wife had little trouble sleeping due to the pillow. I spoke with the staff and they were more than accommodating and give us another pillow which my wife was happy with it. The share area always spotless, multiple fridges . Lots of games for the family. Overall this was a very experience. Highly recommend.

• TAKA (10/5): - ハヘイビーチに近く、スーパーやカフェ等食にも困りません。主なアクティビティのショップも、歩いて直ぐです。 ランドリーの終わりが18:00迄なので、午後のアクティビティーから戻ると、1台しか無い洗濯機と乾燥機はいっぱいで使用出来なかった…😅もう2台程増やして欲しい…😆

• Endidan (10/5): Always a favourite in Hahei - We’ve just stayed again (our fourth time) and we still absolutely love this place. It’s the kind of spot that feels easy from the moment you arrive – welcoming, relaxed, and genuinely well run. The staff were excellent: friendly, helpful, and always up for a chat or a local tip without ever being intrusive. The place is clean, comfortable, and has everything you need for a great stay, whether you’re stopping for a night or settling in for a few days. What we enjoy most is the atmosphere. It’s got a really nice mix of travelers, and we’ve met people from all over – English, Chinese, German, Thai – which makes it feel warm and social, but still peaceful when you want to wind down. We recommend it every time and it’s become our go-to whenever we’re in in Hahei.

Inoltre, sembra di stare in una baita di montagna, ma in realtà si è al mare Poca privacy, per arrivare alla nostra casetta bisogna passare davanti alle altre. Bagno un po’ datato, da ristrutturare.

• Geri (8/5): Comfortable beach break in great location - Relaxing beach break in this well appointed little apartment. Best thing is the location - 1 min to cafe with amazing food and coffee, ice cream shop, general store and pub with beer garden. Beach is 5 mins down the hill. Appreciated the guest washer/dryer after a couple of weeks on the road.
• Audrey (6/5): Emplacement incontournable mais lodge vieillissant - Le village de Hahei regorge de réelles beauté de la nature et le Tatahi lodge est très bien implanté ! Aux alentours il y a boutiques et eatery sur la place, très chouette. Une place de parking est attribuée à chaque lodge. Dans le lodge la cuisine est assez grande, la table est bien pour 2-3 personnes, le lit de la chambre principale est confortable, il y a du rangement. Le gros plus du logement est clairement sa localisation! On peut accéder directement au chemin qui mène à cathedral cove, et la plage de Hahei est vraiment belle à voir. Vous y trouverez au bout une balançoire suspendue et la marche dans la forêt en hauteur est sublime. Vous pouvez acheter de la lessive pour faire votre linge et le suspendre en extérieur. Il y a aussi un acces à YouTube sur la télé. La terrasse extérieure est très dégradée avec du matériel cassé (3 bancs!) et très sale (que ce soit le sol, la seule chaise longue, les chaises). Rien n’a été lavé ou protégé des intempéries pour le confort des locataires. On sent que le lodge a vieilli et c’est dommage qu’il n’y ait pas plus d’entretien. Car ça pourrait être un très bel endroit. Le confort/âge/soin du coin canapé n’était pas à mon goût non plus. Trop vieillissant.
