• Daniil (6/5): Location is awesome. Stuff is super kind. Rooms and breakfast I find overpriced for it’s quality. I think there should b - Location, beach. Room design is nice and simple. The cheap room has NO WINDOW. It has window inside building hall. And it’s not mentioned anywhere. I changed to 50$ no AC room, and i find it little overpriced. Breakfast is super simple and little poor.
• Megan (8/5): Great location - Our room was spotless, we had a room in the garden area which was perfect, very spacious, very comfy bed. Separate walk in shower which was great. Loved the swimming pool area, you had the best of both worlds. The location was brilliant, pretty much on the beach which was never overly busy. Not far from restaurants. Plenty of tuk tuks available if you wanted to venture out more. We had 2 amazing members of staff serving us during most breakfast times (both men wore Villa Tissa T-shirts.) They were always very welcoming, smiley and friendly and always spoke to us. Unfortunately I can’t remember their names but they were fantastic and deserve some recognition. During our first stay here my partner was approached by a member of staff (who wore his own shirts) asking him for money, we had only been at the accommodation for 2 days. My partner said no which he accepted but then the day before Christmas Eve he was approached again by the same man asking if he would be tipping then the young (teenager) boys joined in saying it was Christmas and he should give money to them as we are a rich family as we have phones and an iPad. To me this was very disrespectful to assume we had lots of money when in reality we’d both worked very hard to be able to afford our holdiday. We returned to stay here again on January 1st the man who had asked for money previously completely blanked us until our last day where he then made extra effort with us by talking and taking our luggage to the taxi clearly expecting a tip. I think he needs to be reminded that that’s not how tips are earned. If you’re not a fan of lizards, mosquitoes, spiders etc I would suggest having a room inside. We encountered a very big spider in a shower room which did put me off a little but luckily nothing else after that.
• Patsy (6/5): - The location was right next to a lovely quiet beach. Room was clean and bed was comfy. I just felt like it was very expensive for the quality we got. It might have been expensive as it was new year and a sri Lankan holiday I think. I think the rooms and pictures of a different part off the hotel looked nicer and perhaps I would have preferred to be in those parts instead of the big main hotel bit. The stay was fine but I felt it was over priced compared to the other 10 accommodations we stayed in during our time that's all.
• Gabriel (2/5): - Someone from the staff knocked at my door at 6am, then came back at 11 am to ask me to hand him money. This was pretty embarrassing. Plus the manager at the reception counter was really unfriendly. They left me a rather bitter taste for the checkout

• Svea (7/5): Solide Unterkunft mit unpassendem Preisleistungsverhältnis - Die Unterkunft hatte eine wunderbare Lage direkt am Coconut Beach und mit direktem Strandzugang. Die Umgebung war belebt und das Personal sehr freundlich und immer sehr bemüht. Die Unterkunft ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen, was man an der ein oder anderen Stelle auch sieht. Während unserer Zeit gab es mehrfach starke Stromschwankungen und Stromausfälle bei dem der Generator die Klimaanlage nicht betreiben konnte. Allgemein handelt es sich um eine solide Unterkunft für Sri Lanka Verhältnisse, allerdings ist das Preisleistungsverhältnis eher unpassend.

• Gil (5/5): Good value for money. Good location. Insects. - So close to the beach. Nice location. The room is an open cabin. The windows and the door is made of wood and there open sides to the roof. It is a nice experience but it brings a lot of inspects. I recommend buying anti mosquitos

• Emma (2/5): Zero service and overcharged - Close to the beach, good view. One of the staff working at the breakfast was a very good man. Zero service and overcharged. Had to pay 10% cleaning charges (which wasn’t advertised anywhere) and the room wasn’t cleaned once. We stayed for 7 days and even if we asked to get our room cleaned, nobody did. We got really upset by this and were promised a meeting with the manager (2 times), but he never showed. Nobody seemed to take responsibility. The room was nice but you could get far more reasonable room in the area, with better breakfast and atmosphere. Still thank you to the man working as a hero in the breakfast despite his destroyed elbow, you put a smile on our faces every morning

• Nisal (4/5): Disappointing - Only the beach Badly managed property. Staff does not care about the visitors at all. All of them leave by 4.30pm and throughout the night property is open to beach where anyone can walk in with one security guard for a property of 30+ rooms.

• Raafish (7/5): Property certainly has lot of potential but suffers from poor maintenance. - Private beach and access to the best surfing stretch in Welligama. Kitchen staff were really courteous and kind. Not much options for breakfast. Room was clean, but badly maintained. Most plug points did not work and lack of charging points. Poor and old/damp wardrobe. We lost one night's sleep because of a bad fan (but this was fixed the next day morning - so no complaints). Low water pressure in the washrooms. Overall, the property needs a revamp.
• Sayan220 (2/5): Very poor - Property is very beautiful and vintage with a beach front. But it's not maintained at all. Poor service, no staff no service after 4pm UpTo morning 7:30am. Wasting such a good property, not recommending this to anyone. Zero service and poorest maintenance.

• Verified traveler (6/5): - The location is amazing. The rooms are nice. The guys in the restaurant are great ! The only problem is The “manger” and the “front desk” in the reception they are not reliable, more then once they’ve told me one price and a day after changed it ( room , drinks, taxi) .

• Sha (8/5): Limpio, bonito y en buena ubicación para surfear. - El hotel, el personal, la limpieza y ubicación han sido perfectos. Sin duda lo recomiendo. Además a 5 min se puede surfear. El desayuno correcto. Por la noche pedimos un sandwich de pollo (después de dos semanas de curry y arroz), estaba muy malo. Hay otros restaurantes cerca y la comida está mucho mejor.
