- Nicole (2/5): Not as as dvertised - We started off with the lobby smelling horrible and a deposit was required in cash. Also not as advertised. We went to our room the AC was falling apart and cold. We went to grab a shower it too fell apart no phone in the room to call the front desk and on my 2 towels no wash cloth no hand towel and I had to get dressed go up to the front desk and was not they don't use wash clothes. And then yelled at and was told house keeping was not there to bring more towels. Horrible stay never again.

- YAHAIRA (2/5): - this property should be on lock down with the infestation of roaches it has, I didn't feel safe at all, towels were with some nasty stains in it, the shower was horrible I even used my shoes in it, beds were nasty, this hotel doesn't look near as clean as in the picture of how they made it look, there's no vending machines, it look like where all the homeless apt complex, shopping carts outside the rooms, there was a lot going on in this place. BUT IF YOU REALLY DNT HAVE ANY OTHER PLACE TO STAY BETTER SLEEP IN YOUR CAR!!! this place should be taken off of Expedia and every other page that people use to make a reservation.

Then when I told the person watching the hotel, she was very dismissive and just told me to had just sprayed, that is why I’m seeing them. She did not offer me another room. She just apologized and went about her business. The next day I checked out approximately about 6:30 in the morning, took about five minutes to answer the door, and Front desk personnel looked like she had just woken up out of sleep and her pajamas as well, I told her again I I see more roaches, and I said part of My morning killing roaches so they wouldn’t go in my bag and I wouldn’t take them home. Front desk personnel didn’t offer me any discounts and anything not even a room change all she did was apologize. Upon checking my bank statement I didn’t get my deposit back right away most places when I say a hotel I get it the same Day. Yes, I will not stay here ever again. I am very upset with Expedia for the recommendation On their site.

- Joseph (10/5): A Restful Place - It was a very clean and comfortable room. However, i was obvious by a couple of small unpainted and unsanded spackling places on the walls the some renovation was still on going. The room didn't have a coffee pot or clock in it as do most hotels, but those items didn't really make or break the room. Te staff was extremely professional and courteous and made me feel to be a valued customer. I would consider staying there again if I am passing through Lake City and plan to stay overnight.

- Sabrina (2/5): ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES - !!!! DO NOT STAY HERE...ROACHES, ROACHES, ROACHES!!!! This property was the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in my e life. I can not believe hotels.com are affiliated with them. At 1:30 in the morning I turned on the lights and hundreds of ROACHES were all over the floor. EVERYWHERE. Probably hundreds of them. I called the front desk in a frantic and the lady tells me "oh, well the pest control just came out and sprayed a few days ago". Yes, that was their explanation. Me and my daughter had to quickly grab our bags and go outside in 30 degree pouring rain and shake everything out then run across the parking lot, in the cold rain, and put all our luggage and belongings in the car. Then they have the audacity to tell me they can't give me a refund for my stay. I took videos and pictures on me and my daughters phones. Do not stay here. It won't let me upload the videos.

- Brian (10/5): On it's way to being like new - The Hotel is still in process of being renovated - but it is clearly on it's way to becoming like new. Our Room was already completed (except for tub / shower) and smelled like a new car. Excellent newly painted wals, new tile, new fabrics, etc etc.
- Barbara (8/5): Bare bones - I loved the shower. The room was bare bones so expect that. The money saved, bought bkfst the next day. The mattresses were not real comfortable. No cups to drink water, wash your mouth out or take meds. Bring your own tissue & cups but other than that we just wanted to sleep there.

- Sandra (8/5): As for a remodeled room, they are like brand new!! - I have to say that the front desk lady, Heather i believe, was the most attentive and helpful woman I have ever met in Lake City. We travel fairly often to see family but have 2 special needs kids so we stay at hotels. My 19yr old has had a long recovery from a TBI and has several sensory issues. We ALWAYS NOTIFY the hotels just in case of an episode during our stay. She helped me so much with him, our door was facing the office and she took a personal intrest in our comfort during our stay. Our parking spot was right outside the door. The only issue i had during our stay was with houskeeping following protocols, but we will book here in the future.

- Juan (2/5): Trap house! - Very poor/cheap place I left for a couple hours and my room was broken into and my things were gone. I went to complain at the office and was greeted by the owner and front desk employee and tried to tell me I left my door open and it was my fault. But all of the sudden the house keeping had my luggage. I lost my toiletries, toothbrush, change and sacks I packed. It was like pulling teeth to get them reimburse my deposit and he gave extra $50 cash for my missing things when had told me he was going to refund the whole thing but oh well I guess. Horrible place negative 100 stars!

- Gerard (6/5): Good enough in a pinch - The room was spacious and fairly quiet, with comfortable beds and s friendly desk staff. However, maintenance issues included an eccentric air conditioner, no shampoo, poorly patched walls, and a lobby coffee machine out of service since the COVID pandemic.

- cnotesand (2/5): Don’t even think about it! - This motel should seriously be condemned. Unfortunately we got to Lake City late and no rooms available EXCEPT Guest Inn. I guess that should have been our first clue. Second clue the gal at the front said I could check out the non smoking room first if I wanted to as she thinks someone might have smoked in it last night. By passing that we checked in. OH MY, door wouldn’t shut unless you rammed your body against it, holes in the walls, candy wrappers in the made bed were the cleanest thing about the bed, what we guess was years of tracked over chewed gum all over the carpet, fights outside our door late in the night, I’d continue but it just gets worse. If you are unlucky enough to have to stay here, bring your own blankets to wrap yourself in and wear shoes at all times. Expect that you won’t be showering as well. I completely agree with a previous review, if there was a zero I’d be hard pressed to ever give that rating.

Neither the evening clerk nor the morning clerk were able to speak loudly enough to be heard, and neither was willing to use the microphone. The room was incredibly run down. The bed was uncomfortable, they didn’t have enough fitted sheets, and the sheets they did have were riddled with holes. The worst part, though, was that the carpet was sooooo dirty, walking from the bathroom to the bed after a shower required an immediate return to the bathroom to wash your feet again. We had to put our shoes and socks on in the bathroom in order to walk across the carpet. This property should be removed from Expedia; this experience has shaken my trust in Expedia.

- Lakesha (2/5): - The rooms were clean with a glance, just remember to check before unloading your bags. The coverings were stain and smelled musty, the room itself was musty and germ filled. There were half cleaned towels thrown on the shelf, without rags and hand towels. No complementary toiletries except the one bar of soap. Time for an upgrade and thorough DEEP cleaning of this disappointment of a hotel. Time for refurbishment and adequate as well as dependable staff, whom have been taught proper cleaning skills with proper follow through. I suggest just turning it into a homeless shelter, at least they would have shelter with less filth than the outdoors. Half patched walls and broken tiles, with someone else’s hair left behind in the tub and on the counters…. I couldn’t even sleep in the bed without feeling dirty, didn’t sleep a good 2 hours. Do yourselves a favor and pay an extra $10-$20 for comfort at another hotel!! Even with my sanitizing spray and bed bug spray, I was still incapable of feeling any sense of comfort or protection from germs. I Actually had to shower after checkout at a relatives house over 20 or more miles away. “TO EACH HIS OWN”….I know I can’t go back or refer anyone to this place!!

- JohnPhilipsTravels (2/5): Do Not Stay Here - We were driving all night and wanted a place to stay, so we chose the guest inn. When we got in our room the stench hit us instantly. The tv wouldnt turn on, and there was hair everywhere. Fluids all over the bed, and the ac wouldnt work. Tried sleeping but just couldn't. Then the fire alarm went off so we went outside to find two woman trying to break into our car. We went to the office/desk area and demanded our money back. The person in charge didnt give us a full refund so we left. Again, do not stay here unless you want a horrifying experience. (Honestly wish there was a zero stars button)

Beds were gross we found something unidentified laying on the sheets!! Please go learn how to clean. My night stand had not been washed from previous unfortunate tenants. Front desk guy was very friendly. I bought 2 cans of febreeze air freshener to rid the smell.....still have s*** smell lingering in my room. The ceiling above bathtub leaks because o hadn't taken a shower yet and the faucets were all wet from the upstairs room. CLR the shower head. You'd be surprised what kind of water pressure the guests would have.

Rooms smells like mold, are filthy and there were no towels. I used my shirt to cover the pillow as there were stains on it and the bed sheets. It was comically awful. We just had to laugh and couldn’t wait to get out of here the next morning. Besides having no towels, the bathroom and tub were too gross to consider using. Did I mention there were NO towels (not even to dry hands). Coffee maker was dirty. Felt gross after being in the room 10 minutes. The front desk folks were nice though.
- LegoDad77 (10/5): There is room at the INN! - We drove to every hotel in Lake City, and even to a sketch nail place by McDonalds that looked like a motel. All had no rooms! We rolled up on this place and they made us feel at home! Yes the rooms look like they rent by the hour, and the floor needs a good vacuuming, however those are nothing compared to sleeping in a van. The night clerk was friendly and fast! Our neighbours were quiet. Would I go back? I hope not.

Don't come here for the fancy decor and wonderful breakfast. For $58 it was all I was expecting. The front door stuck a little when we opened it. Room was quiet, no neighbor or street noise.

- ljgraf82 (4/5): Stopped en route to Port Canaveral - Our room was on par with a Motel 6, but worse. It had a real musty smell. It was a handicapped room so probably wasn't used much. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Towels provided were at a minimum. No shampoo provided. Won't return.
- Dritchie7 (4/5): Not a family hotel - On a work trip grabbed a hotel just outside of Orlando close by Disney and universal studios was looking for cheap efficient rooms if your traveling alone or on business would recommend for saving $$ not the place for a family trip however
- adamoG3368IU (6/5): Dated property - This motel is ok and reasonably priced. Location is good as well. Buildings are a little dated, could use some updates.
- ohayes74 (8/5): Travelodge Lake City, Fl - Travelodge is within a 5 mile radius of several restaurants and fast food. The rooms are very clean, easy access to Wi-Fi. Staff is very courteous.
- 360joanner (4/5): Very Old - Needs Upgrading - We got a room at the Travelodge in Lake City Florida as we had driven far enough for one day. With the exchange for the Canadian dollar it will be about $100 for a room that so needs to be updated. The furniture looks like it has come from a Great grand parent. We didn't want to unpack everything so we figured there would be shampoo and cream rinse but no, only a small bar of soap. No fridge or microwave. We had our showers and the shower curtain had a rip down the plastic area of the curtain and the tub filled up with water so we were over our ankle in soapy water. There are so many other hotels around you would be better to look elsewhere for a room if you are going to pay this much. We stayed in a motel last night and it had a nice flat screen, fridge, microwave and the shampoo, cream rinse and everything we needed for the same price - look around people.
- brownt2016 (2/5): This motel is an old motel. - The motel had a number of issues, including the heating system, it was difficult to set, the bathroom door looked liked it had been in a flood, and the door to the room wouldn't lock! Fortunately we had three watch dogs with us so we didn't report it. Even though we asked for a handicap accessible room, this room didn't meet my standards.
- C9580MPrickp (6/5): Property wasn't the probelm - My husband was traveling from Michigan to Florida. I was not with him, but was trying to assist him in securing lodging on short notice as we did not how far he would get in one day. After calling the website numerous time, with a variety of different rates for the same location we called the Motel itself only to find that the discount the website offered was not available, so I called the website back and lo and behold now there were no rooms. This happened a few times. Finally after much frustration we settled on Travel Lodge Lake City. It was clean and economical. That's what we were looking for. The Website / Owners / Managers need to do better in coordinating this effort.
- rongrether (2/5): Avoid - When we tried to check-in this property did not have our reservation made through BOOKING.COM but they accommodated us anyway. The rate was higher but we were grateful to have a room since we had driven long hours on this leg of our trip. The room, however, was disappointing. Dark and dank with a musty with a bad odor due to recent blacktopping of the parking lot. One of the double beds immediately slipped right off its broken foundation although we were able to prop it back up. "Breakfast" was very inadequate. It is that obvious management doesn't care about the condition of this property. If you want at a budget property that's one step up try the Gateway Inn right next door.
- browne822 (8/5): My stay at Travelodge - The staff was fantastic l couldn't ask for a better staff.I left San Antonio Texas on the 10/29/2016 to relocate to Ft Myers Florida on the way l stayed in four hotels and the best one was Travelodge highway 41North Ft Myers on Cleveland Drive hands down l had left my pillow by accident they keep it for me until l got it love that staff the only problem l had was the A/C
- noahmicheal320 (2/5): Just no - Remnants of bugs. Ended up buying blankets and sleeping on top of them. Mold stains. Water does not drain from tub. It just sits in bottom. Bathroom door was broken. Blood stain on the floor. Go somewhere else.
- kateKim2 (2/5): DID NOT GIVE US ROOM - We are floridians traveling from four hours south and were extremely tired and had called earlier and they said they had a room available. We arrived, very excited! And the man at the front was extremely rude and said he did not allow locals to stay at his hotel due to the fact that "locals make messes in the rooms". Will never be staying at a travel lodge again. Very disappointed and quite frankly tired...
- KLYDE9 (6/5): Needs upgrading - This place could use a refurbishment. Clean but rooms are worn out. Went for breakfast at 9:31 and there was nothing available.
