Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a super cute hotel. We came in for two nights to see the Vineyards. The hotel is within 10-15 minutes of dozens of great vineyards. The staff was extremely friendly. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was more than fine, and the room also had a mini fridge and microwave which came in handy. Would absolutely stay again.

Lyn (8/5): - We stayed in one bedroom with 2 double beds which is way too small for more than 2 people.So we moved after our first night to a 2 bedroom which was fine. I have 1 suggestion which would have made life easier for us......there are only 2 kitchen chairs so when we all wanted to be together in kitchen we had to take wicker chairs from patio. 2 little folding chairs tucked away somewhere would be great! Biggest complaint is the size of the shower. We are all of average size and the shower appears to have been made for a child. I could not wash my hair without banging my arms in the shower walls.....and shaving your legs in the shower is virtually impossible. Not sure what could be done about it, but this is the one thing which would stop me from returning to this place.

We arrived past the time of complimentary breakfast, but used the stove and microwave to fix breakfast. I didn’t like that staff was not around the last two days of our stay. I left the room keys in the room because no one was around.

Joyce (8/5): Nice and pretty and clean. - This hotel is next door to a lavender field and you can smell it as soon as you step out of your car.. So pretty! The room was clean. Beds weren't that comfortable. The pool closed at 6:00 pm. I had never heard of a pool closing so early. I have two boys so I would probably have stayed somewhere else if I had known. The front desk staff was helpful when I asked about where to go and what to do. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

There was no comfortable place to sit in the room. I was also disappointed that the restaurant that was advertised was not opened at all during our stay. Over all it was ok.
Verified traveler (2/5): Garbage hotel with rude staff - First let me start by saying this place was a complete dump. The room was filthy and all the furniture was worn out and just falling apart. The sheets were stained and there were also numerous cobwebs and spiders. There was barely any water pressure in the shower. The shower itself was also a joke because it was child-sized. The sofabed was basically hard springs with a sheet on top of it. Yet they claim people rave about the room. For a couple, perhaps, not for 5 adults. The staff and management were extremely unprofessional. We arrived at the property expecting a 2 bedroom suite since that is what we had booked months ago. Hence, my confusion when we walked in to a 1 bedroom suite. I went back to the front desk and was casually told that the room we booked was unavailable...ok and when were you guys planning to notify us? Linda told us that someone should have called us at the time of booking to notify us that the room was unavailable. No one ever called. They did not mention anything at check in either. Were they expecting to just get away with it? I was then told that the manager Mary would be in the following morning if we wished to discuss with her. Not once did Linda apologize for the mix up. As the manager shouldn’t you reach out to customers if there is an issue? We asked if the original room we had booked would be available the next night and were told that it was and we could move into it. I specifically asked Linda what time we had to move our stuff out since we w

Because the hotel was next to Lavendar by the Bay, we smelled the pleasant lavender scent every time we went outside. The continental breakfast was okay, wish there were more options.

Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff was lovely and the room was spacious enough. We were on the ground level and there weren’t any curtains so we were forced to keep the blinds shut for privacy. I would recommend at least a half tier curtain so guests can have natural light without everyone seeing in. Also other guests had suits and towels drying on chairs outside either side of our door. If there is space for a laundry line that’s a little more discreet that might help. Overall a nice place but just a couple of minor things would make a big difference.

The check in lady was rude and said check in is at 3pm like she was tired of telling people that check in is at 3pm, She said no rooms are available yet. we left and came back at 4:30pm to check in and they had a lot of empty rooms. three cars in the parking lot all night. The mattress is worn down so the bed was uncomfortable,...you sink into a hole,.and no it is not the memory foam. we will go to another place when we return in September.

But i wouldn't cook anything where you need to use the oven as the alarm was too close to the kitchenette. It's all in one room. My bed was comfy and the bathroom while very small was very clean. They replenish toiletries promptly and clean the rooms without waiting too long. Check-in was quick and the room was ready. Would stay here again. Worth the stay.
Connor (10/5): A perfect vacation stay! - Mary, the owner, gave us a warm welcome. The room was clean and well equipped with all the comforts of home. We took a recommendation from Mary and rented bikes from Dan's bike rental. After our adventure, the hotel owner drove us to the train station! We'll be back next year.
James (8/5): nice hotel - At first glance it looks like just another hotel but, once you walk into the room you see: a very clean room with a small kitchen, a king size bed with four king size pillows, a nice size TV that get a lot of channels, a good size bathroom with a shower. I would recommend this hotel.
Chris (10/5): Great price and wonderfully charming - The Blue Inn is a charming throwback to the bygone age of the family motor inn. We stayed during the Jewish holidays, off-peak (Wednesday to Friday) and got a great rate on Expedia. The Inn's location is close to the Village of Greenport and Orient Point Park. The staff was friendly and attentive, the pool and restaurant were closed so I think we'll have to make a return visit in season. :-)

Nice beaches close by on the Bay and the Sound. Greenport was very close and had many good places to eat.

Joanna (6/5): Clean and tidy-convenient location - We stayed in one of the few two bedroom suites-it was very clean with a fresh décor. It had everything you could need for your stay but it was tiny-hard to imagine two, let alone three, people in that space for more than a night or two. I am not a big person and could barely turn around in the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable with nice quality pillows, sheets, coverlets, towels etc. The single bed in the second room is a day bed and really only suitable for someone 5'5" and under-a child but not so much a teenager. We could smell the lavender from the field next door which was heavenly! We did not use the pool or the outdoor patio-nothing special about either. The location is convenient as it is situated a few minutes drive to Greenport and Southold (with some truly wonderful restaurants and cafes) Orient Beach State Park and the ferry to Shelter Island.
