• Florian (8/5): Gerne wieder - Riesiges bungalow sehr schön eingerichtet. Top sercice jeden tag wasser handtücher etc. Eigenen parkplatz vor der tür und grosser balkon ruhige lage Der weg zum strand ist zu fuss ein stück aber am see entlang doch irgendwie schön

La mise en relation avec des loueurs de scooters ainsi que la possibilité de réserver avec eux directement les transports vers les autres îles et activités est un grand plus.

• Mirjam (3/5): Can't think of any plusses, left early - The (polished wood) look of the bungalow's interior and furniture. I honestly can't think of any more plusses though ....so we ended up leaving 1 day early, which turned out to be a great decision! Bathroom hadn't been cleaned when we checked in; which was not only unacceptable but also highly inconvenient after a looooong day of travel Big pool of water leaking from the fridge as well. Lowest standard of cleaning we've ever encountered anywhere (> staff only wiped the top half of the toilet seat for instance; it was disgusting!!) Bungalows are a long walk from the reception area. Agressive monkeys around. Next to a lagoon, so lots of mosquitos too. The wifi signal was very weak (although staff was quick to troubleshoot this). Sink and towel rack looked like they were about to come off the wall. Tv was useless. Cracks between the wood panels, so insects can come in. All in all: way too much money for what it is .... there are way better deals to be had on the island!!

Un petit bar resto de l'autre côté du lac très sympa avec bonne ambiance et musique live. Rien . Juste à savoir : il faut compter environ 5 min de marche pour être à la plage . Pas dérangeant pour nous.

Host really helpful and good value for money. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area. Nothing to dislike.

• Michela (9/5): - Personnel sympa et arrangeant. Très bons pancakes au pti dej. Côté calme de l île, avec nombreux bons restaurants à quelques minutes de marche. Jolis meubles en bois. Lits très confortables. La salle de bain n était pas propre. Attention, sur les photos des bungalows familiaux on voit une grande table avec chaises, alors qu il n y en a pas. Autre info erronée: le prix du transfert depuis l aeroport n est pas inclus comme annoncé, mais coûte 650bht/personne. Clime bruyante.

• Victoria (9/5): Sehr idyllisch und angenehm, kommen gerne wieder! - Sehr ruhig eingebettet in einen kleinen Mangroven-Dschungel, tolle Bungalows. Hatten einen Deluxe-Doppelzimmer-Bungalow und einen Familien-Bungalow und haben beide wirklich toll gepasst! Auch Jack, der Besitzer (oder Leiter des Resorts) war stets hilfsbereit und hat uns auch mit anderen Sachen (Tour buchen, Transfer, Roller mieten, Geldwechsel, etc) super geholfen! Eigentlich nichts - das einzige was man vl sagen kann, ist dass man halt am unteren sehr ruhigen Ende der Insel ist und wenn man vom Rest der Insel etwas sehen möchte, braucht man definitiv einen Roller und muss sich auch trauen, die doch anspruchsvollere Straße zu fahren :) aber das hat mit dem Hotel selbst eigentlich nichts zu tun - nur gut zu wissen!

• Evelyne (9/5): Fijne rustige locatie waar er goed voor je gezorgd wordt! - Fijne accomodatie op perfecte locatie vlakbij het strand en eettentjes in de buurt waar je lopend heen kan. De manager, Jack, stond altijd voor ons klaar om ons verblijf aangenaam te maken en organiseerde ons vervoer tijdens, voor en na ons verblijf. Het personeel is zorgzaam en gastvrij en handelt snel. Een prettig resort op een rustiger gedeelte van het eiland. De wegen op het westelijk gedeelte van Koh Chang zijn best pittig. Op een scooter voelde het te gespannen voor mij met mijn kind achterop. Het resort regelde een auto voor ons, wat ons verblijf drastisch veranderde.

• Sylvia (10/5): - Die Lage sehr ruhig. Trotzdem was los in der Nähe. Alles was das Herz begehrt fußläufig. Roller, Ausflüge, Geldwechsel... Alles wird vor Ort erledigt. Inhaber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und bemüht. Beim Frühstück kann aus mehreren Optionen gewählt werden (Thai, kontinental, süß, deftig) Jederzeit wieder!
• Peter (10/5): Heerlijk - Voor de tweede keer verbleef ik in dit resort en opnieuw was het een fijne ervaring. Een rustige, comfortabele plek op loopafstand van het strand. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam ik kom graag terug.

The cottages and the entire property are solidly built, with beautiful wooden furniture inside. The air conditioning works very well. It’s very close to the beach, which has bars, massage services, and sun loungers. At the same time, the noise does not reach the property. Very good localisation close to the beach with a taxi stop nearby and scooters. Please, make use of your beautiful terrace and infrastructure to additionally open an excellent restaurant, or a bar with coffee and snacks. That would be perfect.

• Steven (10/5): Cheeky monkeys - So peaceful, beautiful scenery, rooms spotless, Monkeys in the area seem aggressive bite holes in my motorcycle seat an come looking for food on the balconies, this isn't the hotels fault , more the tourists that feed them which attracted them to the balconies but if you keep your doors closed in a morning this is no problem actually good to watch them , overall stay was excellent would definitely come back

• Danieleroberts (10/5): Special retreat in a peaceful but well-connected area of Koh Chang - We were at Chaipura for the second time. It's a very special place and we really love it. It's a good choice if you... - want to visit koh chang but don't like the party atmosphere that dominates a lot of the island. Klong kloi beach is so nice and relaxed, and chaipura is a bit removed from it on private property. - don't need lots of shops and activity around you, but want to be near a taxi stop so that you can visit other parts of the island. I can't recommend renting a moped on coaching unless you are very experienced, the roads are extremely treacherous. - want to be close to the beach, but prefer some space and privacy, and a quiet, restful atmosphere. The beautiful bungalows are well spaced, breakfast on the back terrace overlooks the lagoon and is a peaceful affair. It's not a good choice if.. - you are a big group or a family with loud children who need a lot of input. Again, it's a chill, peaceful place, in particular perfect for couples who want something that's rustic and affordable but a step up from the options around. - you need to be directly on the beach for some reason. Chaipura looks out over a small lagoon. - you need staff to be available 24/7 or any sort of all-inclusive program with lots of amenities and activities and support. The staff mainly leaves you alone. At the same time, when you need help you will get it and the housekeeping team does a fantastic job! - you are afraid of nature. The bungalows are not well-sealed, there are geckos everywhere and you very well might run into some monkeys. :) They no longer have a restaurant or a sitting area on the terrace, which we missed.

• Vanessa (5/5): Not as we expected based on the photos and feedback on booking.com. - The resort itself is very quite. It is situated at the end of the street, so there are few cars. The hut/room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was disappointing. Every guest gets one little plate of fruite and could choose one out of some meals. No refill. My husband left breakfast hungry and often took a second breakfast at the beach. We were surprised how littery Ko Chang was. You can find plastic bottles and trash everywhere. The resort was no exception. You could find advertising for a facebook group called 'the trash heros', but obviously people don't care of the trash on their front door. Walking around we sometimes felt like on a dumpsite.

Close to the beach in a small lagoon valley near the, limited , local eating and bar options,being the last beach area on the west coast of Koh Kong, beyond Bang Bao fishing village, a 20 min walk away. Peaceful and with a strong feeling of being ‘ at the end of the road’ Steep access steps on the rainforest hillside and intermittent internet were the only problems, and they were minor

• Daria (10/5): Thank you a lot for such a great vacation :) I hope we will come back next year. - Everything was great! Good cleaning at rooms. Bed is nice and huge, room is very cosy. A chilly terrace where you can relax and enjoy the jungle sounds. Beach is not very far from villas. Managers are very hospitable. Also you can rent a bike or snorkeling tour here. Monkeys – they came early in the morning and in the evening to drink from pond below the villas I guess (they didn’t give us any problems). Just keep this fact in mind if you are traveling with kids.

There is a path by tje lake, that takes you right to the beach ( 10 min walk from the huts in the back) The huts are huge. When I booked it said I was booking a hut with a view of the lake and the mountains but we had a hut in the back where we looked into another hut. No view.. that was disapointing.

• Ernestas (7/5): Not worth the price - Very nice, spacious, comfortable bungalow. Location isn't good, actually you have to walk 5-10minutes till the beach and if you want to spend a day there, you have to pay for the sunbeds or chairs again to other hotels. I'd recommend Bangbao or chivapuri, these places have nice shadows from the sun. Chaipuras bungalows located near the road, if there are driving motorbikes or cars, you will hear them very good, i mean it feels like they drive just next to your wall. One morning we woke up aprx at 6 am cause of few crossing motorbikes sound, feeling was that they were crossing direct through your room :D Breakfast is only ok to poor, you can order from a menu only one dish which portion is usualy quite small and not worth to pay for it even 150bht. Room cleaning wasn't good also. We felt that at first days job was done good but few last days nop. The last day even towels weren't changed. And when you get paper hand towels instead of toilet paper... :D guess it should be funny :D this place not worth asked price at all, you easily can find beachfront resort with included breakfast for similar or even lower price. I wouldn't come back.

• Benno (9/5): perfect location if you are looking for a quiet stay next to a wonderful beach and good restaurants. - The hotel is nicely located very close to a quiet wonderful beach; here you find still a bit of backpacker atmosphere on Koh Chang away from mass tourism; hotel is quiet with a view on trees; nature walks possible; it is recommended to rent a motorbike or car, if you want to visit the island; the hotel is far from the ferry pier, but it is worth the travel; the hotel staff was very supportive and helped with all bookings (snorking, transfers etc.); communication with the hotel by mail/whatsup was easy -
• Veronica (7/5): relaxing and quiet weekend - the staff was super helpful since the beginning. They supported me in arranging the transportation from Trat airport to the resort very quickly. The room was spacious and clean in a very quiet area. There is no direct access to the beach but you can just walk few minutes and pick one of the restaurant/ resort/ hotel by the beach to relax with good food and natural juices. I highly recommend Bangbao beach (100bath include one soft drink, sun chair , access to showers and restrooms)
