Guest Reviews
- Nicholas (8/5): - Overall I’d say this probably is worth staying at if you’re on a budget. A bit on the dodgy side but the staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
- Adrian (8/5): - Good hotel.
- FREDERIC (8/5): - Quartier animé
- ESTHER (10/5): - The staff was very nice and very convenient location.
- Leandro (2/5): - Terrível. Não localizaram minha reserva. Fiquei horas esperando a situação ser resolvida. Minha esposa ficou nervosa pela demora na solução da situação e deixou cair uma sacola com uma garrafa de 10 dólares. Ninguém do hotel ajudou a limpar.
- Neil (8/5): - Helpful staff
- Neil (8/5): - Helpful staff
- halbru (10/5): Good hotel, great spot. - Good size room, nice and clean, large shower and bathroom area.
Tea and Coffee and a kettle provided.
The staff are helpful, especially the bloke, who was exceptionally friendly (even pulled over on the street to say hi to us when we where walking around town on his day off).
If we return to phnom penh I'll stay here again, it's in a good spot close to everything. Yes there is a 'red light' area close by as mentioned in some reviews, but going there is your decision - it does not affect the location of this hotel (they're a fee street away).
- Neil (8/5): - Great location. Friendly staff. Clean. Good rice
- Glen (10/5): - I loved the quality and the style of the doorsLe Vincent is the Crown Jewel of the neighborhood, so any negative comments will apply to neighboring businesses:
a. Garbage dumpsters too close to entrance.
b. Samsung store gave poor service.
c. Some of the street vendors don't give clear information about pricing.
- Neil (10/5): - property was good value for money and close to all nightlife , shops and riverfront. Would stay there again.
- John (8/5): - You get what you pay for, right?
Room ok with small refrigerator.
Free toiletries in bathroom.
Toilet not working properly.
Very hard bed and uncomfortable pillows.
Area surrounded by girlie bars.
Close to river and night market.
Overall ok.
- Darren (6/5): - Good location except for all the bars with women yelling at you to come in at night.
- James (10/5): - Excellent staff. Great location.
- Marco (10/5): - Personale molto disponibile e gentile.
Buona pulizia e quindi qualità prezzo ottimo.
Lo consiglio
- Avanel (6/5): Low cost, nice area - This hotel is in a great location and has one guy at the front desk who is extremely helpful. However, I had to get a room change because the room didn’t have windows and it smelled like smoke. The new room wasn’t that clean especially the bathroom. The shower curtain was old and dirty and walls were smudged. There was also hair on the floor. It was great being so close to the night market and such great restaurants but I personally won’t stay here again.
- Allan (8/5): - great place, but the cable channels are dodgy, the door to the balcony was rubbish, and the safe didn't work. but apart from that, it was great. loved the bed and loved the service. oh yeah, the wife was rubbish.
- Allan (10/5): - great place to relax. get the balcony room, it really does add to the experience, sitting out there, having a beer as the night comes to life.
- Allan (10/5): - great place to hang out in the middle of the city.
- 897peter (8/5): Ok - Room with balcony is large. Basic room cleaned and new towels daily.all staff very friendly and helpful. (Note) best method of transport is pass app. Very cheap to go anywhere in the city. Definitely don't use the guy who sits outside the hotel.he over charges.
- JesusMelendez (6/5): - The place was fine. It's what's to be expected for the price range. The staff was a little pushy on tipping (everyday) and bringing them food whenever you would eat... Don't ask for anything and they won't be quite as aggressive for tips.
- tracyb476 (4/5): In the center - Good location for everything, night life and places to visit.
The hotel itself is unkept and needs some attention.
TV didn't work, staff gave us different excuses to why.
Evening Male receptionist came across as all smiles but when booking a tour with him and him not booking it in the correct order we wanted. We had to fight to get our money back from him.
We only stayed 2 nights that was plenty. Very central but I'm sure there are better hotels.
- Erik (6/5): Ok, but could be better - Room is quite outdated and we had a problem with AC. It was working but couldn't cool down the room we put it on 16°C but nothing, room was still hot. And they forget to give us toilet paper. Around the hotel is nothing special but with few minutes of walking you can go to night market which is nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Fun, friendly staff! They are there to help you in amy way! Good English. Good location, many places to eat and the river is nearby.
- Yutaka (8/5): - 周りと同化しておりホテルだと気づき難いです。部屋は清潔感があり、安心して過ごせました。
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Personale molto gentile e disponbile. Posizione ottima per girare a piedi la città. Nelle vicinanze ci sono molti ristoranti, bar e negozi.
- Gary (10/5): Enjoyable Time in Cambodia 🇰🇭 ❤️ - When I arrived there were all smiles, welcoming me to the hotel, I came in a bit early before check in time.Kimpun the associate at the front desk got me into my room right away..Seeing it was my first choice of hotels, also first ever visit to Cambodia.I believe I’ve found my new favourite hotel when I do go back to Cambodia. Thanks very much for a wonderful stay.Look for me in future trips to Cambodia 🇰🇭 ❤️
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good but very basic - Good overall, but my room was not like the photographs!! Room was very basic, a little old and tired, but brilliant location, within walking distance of everything.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Unacceptable fees - Charged $10 bucks on towels because there was a makeup stain.... if you cannot use a towel for normal day to day hygiene matters, what's the point in giving them to your guests.
Hotel night next to garbage pickup so the evenings there will be a mountain of garbage in the front door.
Service was decent but charging for using a towel is unacceptable regardless of how polite the staff were.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nickle and Dime - Charged a service fee of $10.00 for having makeup on towels. What's the point of providing towels if you cannot use them?!?!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff were excellent very helpful and full of smiles . Lost my wallet which was handed in to another hotel and was woken up to be told it was handed in elsewhere was led there to pick . $400 gone but credit cards still there : couldn’t thank them enough
- Kaimukimo (2/5): No view at all - I booked a room with veranda hoping to have a peaceful moment, but it was totally wrong. The apartment across from the hotel was poor families struggling to live doing laundry services. So no view, don't expect any beauty.
Cleanliness was ok. Towels was bit smelly like not dried well in the sun, kept to dry inside high humidity room. The room was huge, no any decorations. WiFi, refrigerator, electric kettle all worked fine.
- abnot (8/5): Great location - Right in the center of riverside bars and pubs. Walkable distance to night market and riverside reataurants and park.also not very far from bkk where you will alot better reataurants.. room condition is not at its best and surely theycan improve alot with better celaning
- johncX5982EL (2/5): I hate this hotel! - I'm a teacher living in Cambodia.
I stayed in this hotel. In the room, the window was broken, the toilet seat was broken, the draws were broken, and no tv remote supplied in the room. Warning! Don't buy bus tickets from the man at the desk. I bought mini bus tickets from him. He gave me tickets for a cheap bus which added 5 hours to my journey. He trys to get you to buy girls, and he likes to talk about weed alot. Don't trust this hotel!
- marylR3477OO (6/5): "In Good Location!!!” - This property is in a good location and is close to everything... short walk to the riverside, night market and central market also close to nightlife on St.136. Helpful, & friendly staff always attended with a smile. Rooms are simple and clean with tv, good bed, fridge and aircon..with working free wifi., There is no food there, but you can walk easily to many Khmer restaurants, local eatery and minimarts. This hotel is very basic but cheap. For the money, it's well worth it. Good for short stay!!!
- Brian (8/5): Comfortable Hotel - Close to night market, 15 minute walk to Royal Palace and National Museum. Clean, comfortable room with fridge, kettle, and amenities.
- Michael (8/5): Back again and loving it!!! - Balcony rooms are fantastic. ..large, bright clean with king size bed. WiFi & air con work fine.....my first choice when visiting Phnom Penh
- grt6000 (4/5): Very basic hotel - Very basic hotel. The hotel is in a very run down area but in walking distance to bars and restaurants. Plus at night the area surrounding the hotel is a red light district and plagued with working girls. The outlook from the front looks into a laundry service with lines of washing hung out. The hotel is shabby and needs a deep clean. Towels are well worn and thin, which also have a fusty smell. Our balcony had a colony of bats in a void which left there mess each night on the balcony floor.
The signage in the room is a bit disturbing as states things like no gun. One plus is the beds are comfortable. Overall not what was dipicted in photos and reviews.
- chrisoulaq (2/5): Not great. - Stayed here 7 nights pre-booked after reading reviews. It's a basic budget hotel smack in a grotty red light zone. Nightly you run the gauntlet of prostitutes pimps and elderly sleazy blokes to get to the hotel. Nightly a large pile of garbage appears just outside the hotel. Staff are friendly, rooms big but need revamp. Beds comfy and clean, towels thin grey and smelly.Scary signs stuck on walls. Our balcony had a broken roof which housed a large colony of bats making it unusable at night and covered in bat faeces each morning. My advice book elsewhere.
- aaatripz (10/5): Hotel with a very helpful front desk - Stayed there for 2 nights. they really helped by letting us know with cheap modes of approaching the attractions in the city. We could keep our bags in the hotel when we went out for a day, away from the city. electric wall sockets were tourist friendly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Budget hotel - The room size is ok with a balcony to view the street. Close to night bars and a short walk to the river. Staff was friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A nice and clean place - The room is clean and comfortable. Hotel is near night market, central market and the palace, can walk from the hotel directly. However, there are many pubs nearby and insufficient street light at night, it maybe dangerous for girls to come back hotel at night
- GoranMelanie (10/5): Great hotel in the right location, lovely family so friendly. - Very clean hotel, run by a lovely and helpful family. Only 30 meters from where the bar street starts but in a residential area so no noice from the bars at night time and still so close. 200 meters to the river with a lot of nice restaurants.
- 190teejays (6/5): Very noise and humid room - Great location, but it was very noisy as it is in the middle of street filled up with bars.
I did not really know the locatons before we came, we thought this was another budget place in central locations.
Not really recomended for couples, as the streets around hotel is filled up with bars and hookers.
- tdelcogs (10/5): Just right - My friend and I had a one night stay there and had an affordable double room (20$), comfortable beds, and a big window with a nice view! Room was small but we only needed it for sleeping so mostly irrelevant. Good sized, and clean bathroom. Would suggest that they change shower curtains though as the bottoms were quite pink/moldy! Staff were kind and accommodating.
- Kenneth (8/5): Good Clean Basic Hotel - Clean and basic Hotel in a relatively good busy area with many eateries and bars around Hotel was clean and good wifi and aircon Staff were a bit of either in your face or not very talkative and didnt seem too happy-----and also 3 min walk to the waterfront where a lot of people head for to walk along the paved water front especialy early morning with Tai Chi classes in progress but nice watch or join in or just have a coffee on the other side of the road and watch
- Gerald K W (10/5): Highly recommended - Great small family owned hotel located in a prime area. New and clean rooms.
- BruceOrlando (10/5): Great little hotel - Great location - I stayed at this hotel for just one night for a quick trip to Phnom Penh. It was perfect for a solo traveler. The staff was friendly! I felt safe with my belongings. Great value for the money!
Just book directly with the hotel! They will Ensure you a good visit!
- Brett (10/5): Great value for money in the heart of the fun area - Great hotel for the money. Staff were very helpful. Looked after my motorbike. The room was good. I think that the bed was a bit big for the room. There was a slight ant problem. But all resolved. The location was great. It was just far enough away to be quiet, but close to walk to everything!
- Jethro69 (10/5): So far the best. - Coming now to Phnom Penh for about 10 years, it's one of the first times that I'm quite happy. A working bathroom over 14 days, and believe me that's not a given in PNH. They made up the room even when I left the hotel late in the afternoon. Rates that beat almost every other place I stayed.
For the bugs, I would identify them as tiny flies, they decided to stay in the sink in the bathroom, I could easily live with that agreement.
The aircon had problems to get the room cooled down properly, but it was within my limits, so I didn't tell them, only when it ceased working after a while I adressed it to the receptionist, it was fixed within 2-3 hours.
Actually I should rate them only 1 star, to make sure it's not fully booked when I plan my next visit, but that would be pretty selfish 😂
- Verified traveler (8/5): Excellent location and very helpful staff - Very convenient location to most city sites such as a 12 minute walk to central market and to the night market. 8-10 minute walk to river front. A new well-stocked Panda Mini Mart 3 minute walk on the corner across the street. Quick elevator and very helpful, friendly staff. Strong wifi. Good toilettries also and minibar and tea kettle in room. I would have given this hotel a 5 rating except for the thin walls that did not block the blasting street music that lasted until very late at night.
- 331timn (6/5): Bed bugs ? - My friend booked the Hotel. It is great location for girlie bars but a bit of a walk to the riverside. It is a friendly family run hotel and clean rooms but i was bitten several times on the first night in bed. Not a mosquito. I did not catch the insect but must have been a bed bug as drew blood. I still have the bite red spots 1 week later. I did report the ( and show ) the bites but all they did was spray the room.
- mark (8/5): Nice balcony room - Excellent friendly staff, decent budget option with lift.
- SnapCooeee (8/5): Decent, but... - Pros
• Location
• Clean. Roomy with adequate storage space.
• Recently rejuvenated with new tiling etc., so it's nice and fresh!
• Basic toiletries
• Kettle. Tea coffee. Bar size fridge
• Beds firm, but ok for me
• Sat tv satisfactory
• Price was good via agoda AUD$25 PN standard twin. King size singles
• A small but nice outside area to sit at street level.
• The regular tuk tuk driver located directly outside the hotel door was very fair pricewise and reliable. No English
Cons
• First impressions. The lobby looks like (and should be, imho) an in house cafe/restaurant, however, it is usually occupied by some, or many, of the owners? family members. A tad unprofessional and made us wonder how empty drink cans and dirty ashtrays can remain all day on outside tables with so many invested people around? I felt like I was intruding every time I walked through the foyer.
• Believe the previous comments about being charged for removing marks from towels/linen. My daughter got off with a warning (I offered to wash it myself) for leaving make up foundation on a hand towel, which was promptly held up and displayed at the reception desk upon returning from dinner.
• Ask if you want your room cleaned, seems to be the only sure way of it happening.
• Cambodian plumbing. Toilets everywhere can have 'issues'
• Staff members are very indifferent.
I would definitely stay again. Our room was just fine, our companions had a large, street facing, deluxe room with a balcony, which was very nice.
- philiphQ9701JT (10/5): Good hotel with amazing staff - Good hotel with nice location near the Mekong. Staff is absolutely amazing friendly and helpful! Aircondition is not to loud and bed is hard but clean and all in all ok. All in all it it a very good hotel for this price.
- mark (8/5): Decent deal for a budget hotel, nice staff - I had a balcony room. A bit noisy during day (obviously) but a generally good budget deal with a lift which most of these old buildings do not have. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is a bit grubby (anywhere within 2 miles of the river is) but very central and easy to get here and there. That I rate as a big plus in a city this hot and traffic congested. Shower curtains were a bit too short so the bathroom floor always got soaked anyway. Annoying, but somehow this is always the case.
- 1Mariners (10/5): The Best Value Hotel In The City - Large spacious modern clean rooms, very helpful staff and in a great location for the night life....has to be the best value hotel around, I will certainly stay here again and will certainly recommend it to my friends.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great hotel for the price - The hotel is located a few blocks from the river and a short walk to the entertainment areas. The hotel staff were excellent. The hotel itself is quite new, but I found the beds firmer than I like. Overall a good experience
- william (2/5): Terrible experience not trustworthy - I booked a room with two beds, they told me there is only one room with one bed. Staff asked me for tips. He insisted on having it. I asked him for two blankets, he said sorry, no more blanket. There is only cold water in the bath. The heater doesn't,t work.
- MR A (4/5): Budget hotel with basic facilities - A budget hotel with 2-star facilities. Paper-thin walls makes next-door conversations and snoring very disturbing. Infested with biting insects. Good wifi, but very poor TV reception. Good area with walking distance to riverfront and restaurants and bars. Unsightly view from balcony.
- jozsefk529 (6/5): You get what you paid for - Positives:
The hotel has a very good location: close to the river side, to the central market and to the National Museum (here, must see a traditional dance show at 7 pm MON-TUE-WED-FRI-SUN). However the hotel is situated in the red light district, it is not disturbing at all. There are a lot of affordable bars, restaurants, shops around. The rooms are acceptable and comfy. There are A/C and coffee maker with instant coffee and tea bags in the room. The free Wi-Fi is strong everywhere in the hotel. The price is very much reasonable (20-35 USD/night) and you get what you paid for. The staff is kind and helpful however they do not always have the correct infos on the programs in the city.
Negatives:
There is no breakfast available in the hotel, but outside, around the hotel there are a lot of restaurants and café (big and small) with a variety of breakfast options. It is not a family friendly hotel, but it is excellent for a short stay (2-3 nights). A little bit more toilette paper in bathroom would be appreciated. The streets around the hotel are rather dirty but it is not the fault of the hotel, only.
- Richard (10/5): Great Hotel and Staff - Newly remodeled clean simple good price
- Verified traveler (6/5): new clean hotel at a convenient location - Great location near riverside. Drawback- no clothe hangers despite repeated requests
- François (10/5): Outstanding service - I can't thank the hotel staff well enough. When my partner's phone was stolen on the streets as we were walking, as soon as we asked them where the police station was to get a report for our insurance, one of the staff member took upon himself to take us there and stayed for an hour to translate everything for us. The police doesn't speak a word of English so it would have been really hard without his help.
Other than that, the hotel was really nice, clean and comfy, and in a very good location, walking distance from every landmark. Highly recommend!
- Verified traveler (8/5): New, Clean and Spacious in a Great Location - The hotel is new and very clean. It is a family run hotel and they were extremely nice and very helpful.
The Room - really good sized room with all required ameneties, including a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. The shower was large with constant hot water with good water pressure.
The hotel is situated over several floors (4) and there is a lift if you don't want to use the stairs.
The hotel is located close to riverside, the night market, central market. There are several mini markets close by, we found the one a few doors down on street 130 to be the cheapest. If you walk out the front of the hotel it is to your left a few doors down.
There are a huge selection of restaurants nearby and tuk tuk drivers right out the front of the hotel.
The wifi was really good! The air conditioning was also very good!
Enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to others looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a great location.
A few restaurant tips - Kabbas, Davids Noodles and Friends (they are all on street 13 and right near each other)
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice, newer hotel at very reasonable price.
- Scott (8/5): Le Vincent Phnom Phen. - New hotel. Nice bed, very clean in good location .No problem to stay again
- yakir (10/5): Amazing hotel - The room is just excellent - very big room and bathroom. Moreover, everything in the room looks new and clean.
The hotel's location is also great. Very close to the riverside area and the night market.
The hotel's staff were very friendly and they can help you with booking tours in Cambodia.
